I didn't attempt this cache for a third DNF. Really needs to be archived I feel.
Was passing so decided to look for this one. Starting to look like a highway where people have been searching. Could see a hollow in the grass at the base of a tree at GZ - but no sign of cache. Add me to the DNF list. Looks like it's a gone-burger.
I didn't find this either, and I think I checked all places as given in the additional hint (although I didn't know what it was at the time, so may have missed some).
supose i should have checked the logs before doing this one.
mr spud and lil spud searched and searched and searched to no evail , think this one might need looking at.
cheers.

Checked in all the 'obvious' places the gps was sending us but no luck. The smell from the nearby (sewage?) ponds was pretyy aweful so we didn't spend more than a couple of minutes searching.
GPS put us in the middle of a flax.... checked some of the nearby trees, but no luck
Hmm. I've done this one before, maybe my memory is failing? Thought I'd pop in and retrieve TB, but couldn't find anything. Perhaps I should use gps next time?
good find had to off road on foot to get to the wp tftc

Coordinates were a bit off, but with systematic searching we were soon successful. TFTC.
Searched all nooks and crannys in the area. Finally got there, Mr Whippy knows where to visit..a popular little reserve.TFTH.
The last of five caches set by my big bro’ to do on his mountain bike.
Talked to a passing muggle while at the cache writing up the log who knew about geocaching. When I got back to BaldEd’s house I starting walking like John Wayne.
Cheers for the cache.

Used to seeing the Waimak from the mountains not the flats, so good to stop by. Nice hide thanks. TFTC
A Valentines day find. This one is closest to my home, but for some reason its taken ages for me to get round to doing it. I cycled there today. then on into Kaiapoi for some excercise.

Use to come out here fishing as a teenagers, nice spot, thanks for bringing me here!
Hi Jade, nice hide. Took me a while to pick the right tree, and then I was smart enough to stick my hand deep enough into the long grass. Upon return I found a healthy young guy parked in the disabled car park loading up with rods, seat, tackle boxes, food and so on. I decided to be mature and not dish out some civil justice so left his car as it was and moved on
TNLNSL, thanks for the nice walk. Had no time to fish, sorry!

910 Been here fishing a few times on my earlier trips to NZ. Didn't have my rod with me this time so just grabbed the cache. An easy find. TNLN DS8300
Great fishing spot. There were lots of people fishing at the time. Easy find. Good cache. A good one for the kids to find.
An easy find for the kids, and can see why this spot is popular for family fishing.

A nice, easy find. We met a friendly elderly gentleman in the car park, who was walking in the same direction as us. He then proceeded to have a nice, loud, conversation with himself as he walked along!

Found while caching in the area.
No one around, took a bit to find, just about gave up. Cache was well hidden.
Area was rather muddy, but not directly at GZ.
Cheers

Found with Tofska. We'd organised an expedition to do Tour de Poynter, with Rediguana as well, and BaldEd came along for a laugh. We still had a bit of daylight, so Tofska and I came to do this one afterwards. We biked from BaldEd's place along the stopbanks. It was a really pleasant ride. When we got to GZ, it was very wet and muddy, and a frequently-used hiding place would have been very unpleasant to hunt. But due to well-thought-out hiding, the cache was in a much more pleasant spot. TNLN, Thanks for a very pleasant expedition.
Quick easy find at a really neat spot. We camp sometimes just around the corner!

Walked in 1.3 km from a carpark to discover the river was blocking progess, but it was a nice walk and we spent a good 10 minutes soaking up the sun at the confulenace of the Kaiapoi and Waimak Rivers before walking back to the car to come around at the cache from another angle. Found cache in first spot/ + football geocoin, - teddy bear.
A quick find at the end of a successful day.Left a birthstone angel brooch.Took travel bug.It might have had problems with crocodile.Crikey.
Spent a while trying to find it - left town on foot and river defeated us twice. Hopped in car and found. Thanks. Mothy.
Found after about 10 minutes of searcing in the dark. Made a wee detour to this cache as I was passing on my way to Kaikoura for the weekend. I'd say it would be a nice place to visit on a warm summers day. Thanks Conton and Jade

Nice afternoon so we went for a ride and found a few caches. Chilly wind down by the river. Left a Bart Simpson Disc.
Hadn't been out here before. Nice spot. A couple of people out enjoying the weather today. Cheers Gav [929]
1141. Went for a ride this afternoon with our family to get some photos out at the Kaiapoi lakes and to give everyone a chance to get outside for a while. Stopped to find this cache on the way home and also got some good photos down the river.
Thanks

A lovely spot indeed. Enjoyed trying not to stay in line of sight of the muggle in the ute nearby. Fortunately by staying almost prone against the hill seemed to work Cache was tucked away nicely. Many thanks for the cache
Nice spot.
I came here on a slamon fishing trip a couple of years ago - No salmon, but I had a ball.
TNLNSL.

We enjoyed the stroll along the stopbank and through the bull-paddock to get there - nice spot, easy find. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(483)
More luck this time with the new clue, we never have any luck with flax shrubs! It was a great day for a bike ride from Woodend, with a loop back up through the forest. Took raincoat, left compass clip. Thanks again Conton.
Hi cachers
Please note the change to the clue. The lower younger foliage looks like a shrub but it is actualy part of a tree .Sorry for the confusion.

Having given up the role of cache beta tester I thought that I would leave this (my nearest unfound cache to home) for a few days before attempting. After walking to the post office to pay a bill I decided to continue strolling around the stopbank to the cache. A very pleasant walk. Got to 2m from GZ to discover much trampled and scragged grass together with broken prodding sticks lying around. Mmmm, someones been here before me. Okay, I'll be STF then - that's fine. Now what was the clue? Mmmm, I see none of those close to MY GZ but then this is a Conton cache and I recognise my limits in identifying local flora so I'll go on a general search and search everything flora. Wow! A camo plastic container! I wonder who was FTF? What no entries? I'm FTF! Yippee + 2 x fishing swivels for quick lure attachment. - nothing. Thanks Conton.
I admit that I got a bit over zealous prodding around the flax, but I searched high and low for something that resembled the clue first (and Andre was tiring). Surprised I didn't find it if it was at my GZ. I felt it might be a cache you either went straight to or had to search for yonks. Oh well, went off to have a nice stroll round Kiapoi Lakes instead.
