Our 1st find on way home from 'Roonka Family Weekend' with Blackwood Group.
This place brings back many memories from over 20 years ago, when they used a big winch for the gliders to get airborne!
An easy find, just as a muggle(reckons he is the manager of the strip) passes and stops. He says he does geocaching (but didn't know the location of the cache), but doesn't want this one here! Although he couldn't/wouldn't give his team name. Reckons it's a private road and 'they' don't want it here, because it will attract unsavouries! He said "most of you may be ok, but it's that 1% that may do harm here." So which one of us is the unsavoury? hahahaha
We tried to convince him that geocachers appreciate the game and the loactions, and that the road was listed on the maps and gps, but he wouldn't budge. Thought of telling him that if he was a geocacher then he could contact the owner about it, but thought better of aggravating the situation.
We didn't leave it, took cache with us, as by this time he knew the location and we thought it may disappear!
Sorry, 60 seconds earlier or later, and the cahce would still be in it's hidey hole.
Can the owner contact us about recovering the cache from us. Thanks
TNLNSL

Found with 1st Beaumont Joey Scouts during a gliding camp at Armstrong Airfield.
It was great fun to watch them all follow the leader with the GPS, who was zig-zagging back and forth every couple of steps as the gps compass-needle moved slightly in each direction.
Joeys swapped some things, I took the TB. Will log that when I get home.

Went out early before heading off in the houseboat. Our son has done some gliding with the scouts at this location. Great to drive up to a cache. T: Sunglasses L: Golfball TFTC
The very first time I ever flew in any sort of plane was from this airstrip a very long time ago!! And I have revisited several times since so I knew exactly where I was headed. That made for a quick find
TNLNSL, Cheers.
TNLNSL, Cheers.
Nice trek out here. Saw plenty of roos and an enormous wombat hole. And several dead/ sump tearing-off wombats on the Truro / Blanchtown Road. Wouldn’t like to hit one at any speed. Found the cache easily and swapped swaps.
Thanks Team Willy Wallies
Clear skies, TeamAstro [^]
Found on the way home from Cadell.
Didnt see any signs driving in but saw one on the way out.
Which is probably the best order to view them as we found the cache.
There were lots of kangaroos.

Had this one on our to do list since it appeared, we were staying so close-by (Camp Wardens @ Roonka) and joined our friends, Burton's, briefly on their Geocaching tour. It was busy in the nearby Armstrong camp so we parked with the trees between us and them. Quite funny to watch our partners (F & J) zig-zag through the bush ahead with GPSrs in hand as we walked up and was found by P without a GPSr .
Took nothing, Left purple finger puppet and JMCz's Geocoin was just visiting. Thanks Team Willy Wallies

Had a camping trip planned out in the mallee for the weekend, so logged on at the last minute to find out if there were any caches in the area. Lo and behold a newly posted one with no visits! Nearing GZ, felt as though we were trespassing on a grazing property - hadn't crossed any fences, so it seemed OK? Signed log and quickly departed, half expecting to come face to face with an irate farmer! All was quiet though. Thanks Team Willy Wallies.
