Grrr... Muggled. Will replace soon with a temporary cache to see how it survives.
Visited after StreetWalkerNZ, before owner confirmed it was muggled. Don't feel right about putting a DNF since you've already now confirmed it was gone, but logging the visit.
We tried. We actually tried very hard. BTW, some ducks like VitaWheat sticks, some don't recognise them as food.

Was with One-Fang, Lovely spot, I will definitely check if this has been replaced for next time I'm coming through Ashburton.
Nice place anyway

Surprised we couldn't find it (a decent size cache which should be in the obvious place).
Lovely gardens, not many muggles about today, plenty of ducks though!!

A group logging with the owner on an evening to introduce geocaching to the Ashburton Rangers.
Great stop and lovely big park. Many kids playing here, two massive picnics and a game of cricket.
Nice to see familes out enjoying the good weather.
Thanks Jacqueline and Peter #2245

A good opportunity to see this area in daylight a we did the whereigo last time in the way back from Chch in the dark, what a great area for Ashburton.

We waited for some muggles to move off then we had a quick chat with the troll. He then handed over the cache. Lovely park. TFTC.
A very easy find, with the container visible from the nearby bench. I retrieved it in relative privacy (muggles on the grass, the other end of the bridge), and replaced it a little further under. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Team chelmo for another cache in a lovely park.
While family were having picnic lunch at domain, (dad's day in hometown) I thought could that be a possible spot for The Troll? Walked over & yes! Followed a hunch & no GPS. TFC TNLN
Found on a rather dreary Winter day so didn't see the domain at its best.TN/L fancy paperclip. TFTC
A cool hide in an obvious spot, tftc, wet day today so no muggles, yay, cheers
Well hidden -can't believe I've walked past this so many times and never known!!
good hide - we had met "Bruce the Echidna" before and moved him. He seemed in good spirits.

Just got this one before the wee muggles arrived. Said g'day to "Bruce the Echidna" who I had previously helped on his travels. Was hoping to pick up the Civic GC but was already taken 2 weeks ago & not logged out yet. Took Lilo & Stitch book & souvenir spoon, left Car postcard, Sylvester soft toy & wee car.
More scrunching through the snow - and a tad chilly doing the troll thing to find this cache today!!! Found it the second spot we looked.
Dropped in Bruce the Echidna TB, though he won't think much of the snow!!

Billy Goat Gruff was out for the morning so we were quite bold.
Ducked in and left a TB, (Honda Civic) for TC.

Great to see htis cache back in action again the last time I came looking it was gone,, so thanks for the replacement.. cheers
A lovely walk on a beautiful morning after a thunder, lightning and rain storm the night before. What a gorgeous park. We noticed a tree in the park planted by the 'mayoress' in 1910 in memory of Florence Nightengale. Wonderful that Ashburton had a female mayor almost 100 years ago! Sure are a lot of ducks here!

A nice quick find in the obvious place. Cache was, of course, in excellent condition Cheers Gav [1833]
Please do not place any travellers in this cache until it has been in place for a while and proves "Muggle" resistant
After reciving some info today I thought I should check on the cache, sure enough it's vanished! Most likely MIA after it was visited by a cacher completing another cache in the area (Which is now also disabled). I must apologise to the people who had trackables logged in to this cache at the time Hopefully someone grows a conscience and returns the cache un harmed (Wishful thinking I know).
"This just serves as a reminder for all cachers to ensure that when they replace a cache to do their very best to ensure it is replaced as/where you found it and to do you best to disguise it if in a high muggle area"

Walking through the park on a damp cold day, taking boys to their first swimming lesson, so set a travel bug back on its way that we had picked up from the event on Saturday.
I don't think the aliens were enjoying being outside a cache for so long.

22:33 Another nite out caching... This time with the Ashburrton locals... This was an excellent bonus after an excellent dinner with great, friendly company while group hunting another cache. TNLNSL. Many thanks....
Not a Troll in sight, a group caching event. The trolls have taken cover as they have been invaded by numerous humans trip trapping around their domain . A few winks of little lights show the way . Great Fun and Great Company with GC and Ashburton cachers. TFTC TNLNSL
3rd cache tonight.

I picked up a geocoin as a FTF prize in the wilderness of the Kanagra Walls area in Australia. I noticed it was a Team Chelmo signature coin. Well, as I was heading to NZ soon, I thought it would be fun for the Team Chelmo coin to visit a Team Chelmo cache. So, the coin dropped in. I was going to leave it, but I had not had a chance to add sufficient documentation to keep it on the move and not in someones home collection.
The cache is in a very good location. The park made a welcome stop in our journey. Thanks for the cache and thanks for crafting a very beautiful coin.

After a return trip to the West Coast a stroll in the park was called for before a trip to the local hostelery. Found quickly in the deepening gloom. Left something (forget what) as it was farily empty and took nothing. TFTC. Hatas
Easy find - once the muggles got out of our way.
The real mission was putting it back, one muggle and his daughter looked well settled in near-by. Our little one managed to sneak it back during a brief opportunity, phew!
- Funny Stories book
+One Dead Duck TB (fitting, I thought).

Took the Teddy Bear Travel Bug with the intention of affording him the opportunity to make the trip across the Pacific Ocean to the United States, specifically to Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is assuming I can get Teddy thru Customs, Immigration and Security!! Travel adventures to be continued!
Found it after a little look around. A good spot. Left behind a Norwegian 50 oere coin as that's where I live.
Great Spot!! KIds played on playground while we searched. Left Teddy bear travel bug, book and tonka truck. Took Nemo toy, crescent and keyring, Cheers great cache.
This cache log book was just crying out for an entry, so we obliged.
Managed to find the quick and easy entrance to the park nearby.
Looked under all the corners, and RadioNut found it at the 5th corner - oops, there are only 4 - well, guess that means more than one corner checked twice... well hidden indeed.
Thanks for this cache. Lovely spot - huge Redwood tree nearby and lovely old trees elsewhere in the park.

Logging this three days after finding it so Team Chelmo have already commented on the lack of a log book! Signed the stash note instead. Lots of school kids on pushbikes roaring along the paths. Had to watch myself or I'd have been mown down!
Wow! things happen quickly in Ashburton and top marks to Team chelmo for being so on the ball with this one.
Printed out the cache info on the 24th prior to leaving home on the 25th for a bit of a Canterbury cache-a-thon.
Found the cache muggled as described by The-Organist and made a note to report it when I returned home on the 29th. Well, of course as per the logs the alert had already been raised, cache re-instated and business as usual within a couple of days.
So yes I found a very empty cache (later in the day I also found "Framed!" had been muggled) but left my mark and date on the sole remaining bit of paper. I really love the gardens here and the cache location is certainly at one of the better spots, a truely magical little corner, well done.
TN (nothing left to take ), LN. Many thanks for the cache and the quick work.

Called in today after work to replace log book and add some swaps. It seems I should have tried to get here before work as the Troll has had two other visitors today , sorry ADV & U.N.C.L.E.
The cache is all good to go, I will monitor it and make sure it remains muggle free.

Yes, found the cache. HOWEVER all the insides are GONE! No logbook, no goodies. ONLY the piece of paper saying "This is a geocache" Sorry - Wasn't carrying supplies to replace them.
Will attach "Needs maintenance" log next.

No 3 for the day as we head south. Muggles prevalent so it took us some time to retrieve and replace the cache

Logging this on 29 April after 3 weeks on the road. Note that contents disappeared sometime after our visit. Fairly sure we were not observed returning cache.

I was excited to go to the park. I wanted to find where the troll lives.
Once the cache was found and put back I still wanted to play and didn't care that Mum had to get home to cook dinner.
Thanks for the cache.

Had problems with GPS showing wrong direction but correct distance. Boys enjoyed chasing the ducks, did not want to leave.
Once we got close to the correct coordinates we found it ok in the end

A very nice domain to wander through and although busy, it was possible to find and return the cache while people's attention was directed at the nearby ducks. Thanks! would never have stopped here otherwise.

Just a quick visit to a home cache with an evil micro geocoin before heading off into the wild
Visited this cache on the way to chch but there were hundreds of muggles at a concert in the park right next to GZ plus several teenagers on a nearby seat. Came back and found it easily, still had to wait for muggles though.

10.45: On the way from Christchurch to Dunedin with heavy rain the whole day long . We passed through Ashburton and discovered this one on the map. It was time for break – you will be remembered this quite often here in New Zealand – and I decided to give it a try. Gabi wanted to stay in the car, because it just began to rain. This cache gave me the chance to discover the beautiful Ashburton Domain. I was nearly alone on this tuesday morning and had to search some time because I did it again without any description or hint. But in the end I got it. ...Where would you hide the cache here?
Weather: rain, overcast, 14°C
Wheelchair: not tested, but should be no problem at all!
IN & OUT: nothing.
Thanks!

Lovely spot. just stopped off for a quick cache on the way to christchurch and stayed for an hour. You are really lucky to have such a great domain
I always like visiting this Domain. In fact, I nearly set a multicache here a couple of years ago - I gathered up all the data to formulate some questions but lost the piece of paper when I got home. The last entry was from a Domain Gardener nicely asking that we please respect the park. + dinosaur.
The gardener found the cache on this day while he was spreading wood chips around the area, he put a log in the book saying to have fun but to respect the surroundings (I will call in to see him soon and explain more about geocaching and CITO). This log entered 15 Oct '06
As we drove up I though this was going to be a hard one as there was a cricket match on, and lots of muggles lucky the kids made finding the cache easy.

Nice easy find execpt for the muggles feeding the ducks. A couple of laps of the trees later and was able to get it. + game - marble. Thanks.
11.30am. Had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours in Ash Vegas today. Thought about sunning out on The Strip but there was caching to be done. This is a pretty spot and there were no muggles to be seen. No swaps. Cheers Team Chelmo. p.s. 'bout time there was some caching activity in this area.
Had to wait for muggles to finish serving ducks their lunch before grabbing the cache. Good spot with nice seat nearby for cache inspection. We love the nearby playground. There should be more elephants like that.

On a road trip to Chch and we always stop here to use the flying fox so this made a change. Kids loved all the ice in the park.
Took the wrong turning, parked up and had a leiesurely walk through the park. We should have taken our lunch with us to enjoy the facilities longer. Great hidding place [^].

I always get muddy while geocaching,I thought I did some swaps here but haven't written it down,so if I did I have no idea what.
One of our favourite caches in NZ, and a great way to clock up 250. Wouldn't have known to come here if there wasn't a cache here. Lovely location with friendly ducks welcoming you to GZ. Took kiwi figure left 1 AUD. Many thanks Team Chelmo.
