Well if it hadn't been removed before it would definately be gone now.
The rain over this weekend increased the river height by about 1.36 metres and we went out taking photos around the areas some of the riverside caches were located.

Looks like the council has been through here and destroyed the hiding spot. Then the area was flooded after the recent rains, so this baby is gorn!

Searched all over with MattS and BiancaS, but no luck. - After the previous two logs, we didn't hold high hopes either... But the weir was nice, and we did find the next two along the river, so thanks anyway!
Ahhh... no such luck on this cache.. Walked into a couple of trees untill i realised i wasn't the only cacher here! The Crazyheads had chosin this splendid day to go canoeing and pick up some of the closer caches- In the end although we didn't find it they did let me have a go in there canoe!(:D)
Thanks Crazyheads for the fun and ill try this one again if someone else does after this attempt.!

Well, even when teamed up with curtle 'n' Joshy we had no success with this one. A thorough search of all the bent (and non bent trees) yeilded no result, although, we did find what looked to be the obvious hiding place for the cache. Maybe we just didn't look hard enough, but if the owner or someone else could check up on this one, then we will certainly have another attempt at it. The day wasn't completely gone as we found the other two in the area and spent a great day canoeing.
It's muggle heaven down there by the water, especially when a group decides to follow you and see why you're walking around intently looking at a gps device.
I was seen finding the cache so you might have to check this cache hasn't been tampered with.
My apologies for not being able to fight them off with a sword, but what could I do?
Cheers

Spent this afternoon showing a new cacher around Penrith. We couldn't go for Nepean Belles or No Doughts due to high muggle presence.
On arrival, the park at the top was being used for a wedding. As we decended to GZ we could see the newly weds were having photos taken by the Weir. We continued to head off into the scrub.
Finding the cache was a little tricky. We must have gone over it a number of times. Meanwhile the police walked by and looked in at what we were doing. Lucky I had two kids with me who were busy scratching around, they didn't seem to care too much. In the end we set up a emu parade and search by brute force. Success. Another great industrial size and strength container by the Sky Dog.
We left a memo pad. TFTC, it was good to be back again. Anyone remember the mud pit on the other side of the river? Now that was fun.

To echo some observations of a previous cacher...there were some strange men hanging around!! Lucky the rain stopped when it did or else the cache may well be on its way to Rivers End! Easy find...get it before the level rises...
Muggle city was an understatment today!they ere evrywhere.
We managed to find & rehide the cache but waiting for a brake took a while. Thanx for the hunt.

Stopped in here today to pick up the coin only to be beatin by the Geo somebodies. Oh well!
I should mention that the coverings are getting very thin and sparse, certainly dried out and changed since I found it.

No muggles at 0820hrs. Great cache, love the container, took a geocoin and will take it to central Australia in a few weeks. Left a wooden block that I picked up from a Canberra cache.

This place is muggle central! I managed to retrieve the cache well enough but then was swamped with them and had to make like a photographer until there were less people. Still it was very hard to replace the cache without being spotted. If you're thinking of doing this one pick a time when there's less muggles, like maybe 1am! I'm a big fan of the pipe style caches but it is quite large and obvious so hide it well. Nice one Sky Dog.
Lots of trees on a large slant but was a good find when we'd wandered around the swamp for a bit!
Well we found our very first cache and we had the best fun. We decided to go down today because it was raining and hoped there wouldn't be too many people - there were a few strange men hanging out in their cars in the car park so I wouldn't let my girls go running around without me. We found it fairly easily and will definitely be seeking more caches. Sharon, Sarah and Tamara xx
Found my way down to the weir, with clue in hand confident of finding this cache. It didn't really seem to narrow things down Sky Dog! As with previous caches of the day, no one around making it easier to poke around looking, though I had one suspicious local who stopped to watch me from up the hill. After 10 minutes or so he moved on, probably figured I was some type of escaped mental patient rahter than a terrorist plotting to do bad things to the weir!
TNLN, thanks for the series Sky Dog. One question though, how often does it flood in this vicinity?
best wishes,
Wal

This was by far the hardest find we have successfully found!
Had a team with Dragonhaunt, took 4 of us around an hour of looking to finally stumble upon GZ, someone is good at hiding ^_^

Myself, Inbilla & his sister (yet to be named), Spike87.
Took us a while to find the right spot since most of the trees in the area match the clue ^_^
Eventually we found it in what I thought would be the least likely hidy hole but my first guesses would have been at risk of washing away
Picked up Ruby TB.
Left a toy car.
Might have accidently taken one of the pens but I think there was at least one other there.
Did not see the "Bouncing Around Australia" TB in there.

it took us while to find it and we realised we must have missed it so easily. anyway nice weir, dropped TB Schwarz-Weiss-Baer. thanks
Found the cache at 4.00pm. Phew! Lovely walked along to the cache. TNLNSL. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
Finally got this one after a few attempts due to muggle infestation! Looking forward to the cycle track being finished, looks like a good ride. TNLN.
We found this one after a bit of searching. Great spot - have been meaning to check it out for ages. Took TB Matriarch, left Kaleidascope.

A nice spot down by the river. After a little hunting, located cache where it was indicated. Removed the Geocoin and left TB Pterry.
Thanks Sky Dog been meaning to do this cache for some time.
Took nothing, left Geocoin.
Regards Philma.

Even though we live just around the corner from this one we had never actually been down to this spot. We came down on the bikes today and found the cache after a brief search.
Took nothing, but left the Matriarch TB.

Found it although being very novice cachers it took us a little while. A friendly big white duck joined us in the search. Gave us a good chance to learn about our GPS. Took TB "wodona Travels" to move her to see a new natural wonder - left dolphin keyring. Hope we don't get too much rain as looks like the area is flood prone.
Was in the area with a couple of TB's when I decided to drop them into this cache as we were passing.
Saw a couple with a pair of dogs acting odd, so walked past & returned a few mins later to see the lady standing rather close to GZ.... with the cache at her feet.
I got a really odd look that turned to a grin when I approached & said "Darn Geocachers". Put the TB's in & returned the cache to its position before covering it well once again.
Nice to meet you both

Found the cache - went to put it back nonchalantly and DOH! Busted! Well I thought so - it's a pretty busy place.
But thankfully my being busted was by Horrorking. It was great to meet you too. Nice to put a face to the name.
So whilst I found the cache it was not for me to put it back.
But more importantly the cache was an easy find - it's larger than I expected. Took an eraser and left some handlebar streamers (very old school).
Anyhoo left with the aim to find another cache or two.

On a beautiful autumn morning with blue skies as far as the eyes could see we set forth to the location of what was hidden. On reaching the lower level the mighty Nepean was a flat as a billiard table (a good one not the type you find in the local rissole) and it surface reflected images just like a mirror. Soon we found that was hidden and was saddened to read Spin Doc Bob did the cache on his birthday all by his lonesome and had to sing happy birthday to himself. If only we had known we could have baked a cake and we would have sung Happy Birthday to him. From here we walked at a leisurely pace to the next nearby cache.
Easy find, but there was a muggle acting really strange, freaking iout the Mrs & kids, so they left the area. I had to out-wait him before going to the cache, but he kept staring at my location, even while walking away. Nice area tho - never knew about the weir at all.
Cache had been uncovered and was clearly visible from the water side. Put in baloons and took out phone case. Rehid the cache and covered it well this time. Maybe this would be better painted brown or grey in this location just incase it is uncovered again - less obvious than it's current color.

A cache find on Spindoc Bob's birthday - yay . A nice little spot and a GREAT cache container.
Wow! Back to an old stomping ground. Living up the mountains for so long we use to come down here for rowing so I know the area pretty well.
Not alot has changed over the years, a few more picnic areas and some grills to stop the honest person from playing on the weir. We use to jump off the Victoria bridge for kicks, not anymore. We also use to sit under the weir with the water rushing over us and then there was the time we tried to cross the weir when it was in flood, one guy got washed over, that was scary. Then theres the mud baths which are about 200m past the weir on the other side of the river, now they were fun.
Anyway I found the cache after a quick look. I had to use extreme stealth as plenty of people were using the nearby track today. TNLN Thanks for bring me back.

We went for a nocturnal wander and stumbled upon a cache at the weir. Looked in the correct spot several times before spotting the cache. No muggles in the area tonight.
TNLN.
Thanks Sky Dog.

Easy find in the dark, though, must have climbed up into that tree 4 times before spotting it, original Co-ords spot on once the GPS had settled. TNLN, though, was tempted to go try the boat over the weir.
Cheers

Headed in early this morning and fortunatly no one was working on the new bicycle path you mentioned.

Good work Sky Dog

Another good cache SkyDog, on a river I have spent many hours on. I have paddled from here to North Richmond. Lots to see on such a trip, if you can fight your way through the weed however. Plenty of carp as well.... personally if you are targetting them out fishing you are doing Aus a favour, and as such maybe a licence to fish should not be a requirement.
Left a boat and a tube of Heatsink material, took the knife.(I thought knifes were a no-no in caches? I must have got that bit of the guidelines wrong....)
I have added my co-ords as a guide only, I had an epe of 4mts at GZ, whereas Skydog's co-ords had me further downstream by 20mts

Thanks for the co-ords Swampy. I spent a long time trying to get a good reading, including averaging it for some time with an EPE of 5m and a DOP of 1.8 (but that's just being too much of a smart aleck).
Also, I usually walk away a number of times in different directions then come back and check what the distance is. Here I got good signal near the water, and up the track before coming back.
If other people have trouble, I'll recheck it.
