Perhaps a micro in the branches could serve this location. That old banksia certainly is worth highlighting.
We also didn't read previous DNF logs. Requires owner maintainance or disabling. Thankyou gregandjudi
I made my way easily to GZ, but hadn't read the DNF logs until there. I too found the discarded ziplock bag, but in the spirit of CITO I picked it up and took it back to the car. Had a bit of a look around, but really suspect that this one has gone.
We are only beginners but we looked realy hard and could not find it. A zip lock empty bag was on the ground that's all, has this cache been checked recently.
After one hour of looking hard, we were still unsuccessful. Having my doubts that it's still there considering everyones saying it was such an easy find..
first time geocaching today, i didnt end up finding this one. i had the help of Auby01 and we both spent around an hour digging around the roots and climbing the tree. we looked EVERYWHERE! its either gone missing or i am just really crap
We fell in love with Banksia in WA recently and this is a beautiful old example.

Visiting from Albury for the week and staying nearby! A nice little spot we wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for a cache and a beaut spot to sit and listen to the waves rolling in.
Many thanks for the cache.

Clever hide, beautiful old tree. My exercise done for the day lol. TFTC
After a really nice... long walk along the beach with Harrowang, picking up a bucketload of shells to take home with us, we made our way to GZ and found this little beauty. Geokid was excited to be playing amongst the trees!
quick find today no muggles around. Interesting tree I wonder how old it is? Nice beach here too. TFTC TNL1
Found this morning with Team Beavar at 10.10am. We enjoyed a long walk on the beach collecting shells and finally made it to the GZ. Took: Boots the monkey Left: shark. We come from Wangaratta, Vic and are spending Easter here in Tura Beach. Lovely day for a stroll on the beach. TFTC Jaky Dory & Geogundog

First stop on my next south coast adventure. With all the probs with the GC website yesterday , I thought I managed to download the required pocket queries. The TomTom was ok but GPS is bare. Damn! Hopefully I just stuffed this leg or the iPhone will be getting a good workout. Nevertheless, with your good hint and TomTom getting me to the Right parking spot, all good. Left a GC.
2 of 7 for the day found by Mr & Mrs 1SR at 0940. Well this is one of those spots that you would never find as a tourist except for Geocaching. What a top hidden spot that the locals must love. Well worth a visit.

A quick find after spending a few hours at Magic Mountain.
The Wenches stayed in the car while I walked down to GZ expecting to find a coffee tin as per the log notes. Glad to see the container has been upgraded.
This is the last cache we'll find in the Merimbula area as we are off to Canberra tomorrow before heading home to Echuca a couple of days after. We're going on a gnome hunt in Canberra. (http://www.cachinggames.com/index.php)
Thanks Jaky Dory and woof to Geogundog.

No coffee container but a welcome find except the boy cacher reckons it's a bit girlie. No pen or pencil. Tftc.
An easy find. Cache was overfull so swapped a small object for a larger one. A very impressive tree in an area with some very impressive houses. Thanks.
Nice beach. Went past the access road a couple of times but found the cache with no probs.
Juniors took pirate coin, ball and stone.
Left stickers and necklace.
Thanks

3723. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]Well that was a very pleasant wander down to the beach on a flying visit to Merimbula. Amazingly warm today after the downpour/storm last night - and everything was mostly dry - particularly the cache. Like the cover.

We took out the Travel Express Geocoin. We also took the Collingwood card, and replaced it with a bouncy ball. A great spot that we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Drove around to other side of golf course and nabbed this one. Another one of those caches that takes you to a wonderful place you never would have found if not for the interest in geocaching. Thanks heaps for the cache...
5th of 13 of our Merimbula trip. It was a very easy find. The clue really helped but we weren't expecting a Barbie box. Nice hiding spot and nice walk along the beach. Took thong key ring in exchange for a shell. TFTC.

An easy find but we nearly missed the narrow road to the top of the stairs. On the way back up we met "Me and Mrs Jones" family - great to meet you and have a chat - good luck with your caching.
Our thanks to Jaky Dory & Geogundog - we swapped a Collingwood footy card for a small rubber basketball.

I'm updating Caches from GPS so not sure of exact date. Love Merimbula though.
Getting on the right road was the only problem but we eventually got close with the motor home. A pleasant walk on an otherwise cold and wet day. The cache was overfull so we removed a couple of toys and replaced them with a couple of small erasers, now the lid can be closed.

The big bad banksia men were lurking in the coastal scrub near this cache [:o]
I didn't let them scare me off though and quickly grabbed the cache from their grasp
Thanks for the treat.
Nice deserted beach too [^]

A nice walk to a nice beach here. Found little road OK to a little parking area. Looks like many people here have dogs because the bin was overflowing with dog poo bags.

A nice easy find on a beautiful sunny day. There is no pen in the cache so I had to improvise by using the bark from the tree to register my find. TNLNSL. TFTC.

Found the access road on the second pass, as it is not obvious between the houses. And then a lovely walk through the coastal scrub to the beach. That would have to be the biggest banksia I have ever seen. Nice spot, thanks Jaky Dory & Geogundog.
Left random coinage and crystal. took nothing as the geocoin i was after wasnt there:( nice spot.
Found this one on a caching road trip around the South Coast. The information about the camel confused us somewhat until we saw the "hump". A nice walk down to a fascinating looking tree with an easy cache find. The trackables seem to have gone missing and the cache container is no longer a coffe tin - but in all a pleasant find. TNLNSL TFTC
Very nice place, thank you very much for this cache!

Found by Mary & David at 1655. Had a chuckle about the camel as we admired the nearby real estate. Loved the trees too. The specimen at GZ was certainly one of the biggest of its type we've come across. Wonderful views up and down the beach. Our thanks to Jaky Dory & Geogundog.
It was nighttime - dark! that was my excuse! I missed the camel, I missed the carpark. Parked and walked and found both - duh!
A short walk and the cache was in hand - nice spot. Wasn't tempted by the water
Thanks, Robmc.

Found it easily - a beautiful hiding spot and a great start to our morning. No pen to write with in the cache - should have taken our own. Next geocachers may need to take a small pen or pencil to leave in the cache! Did not make entry in the log due to no pen but took button, left a pressed flower. TFTC
Access to this one had been a problem in the past as I couldn't find the track. Used GE Street View sometime ago to locate it & noted the house with the palms. Located cache & signed log then saw that street numbers were given in the description. Assume these were added after the original posting or I have made it very hard for myself. Very good to get this one, thanks.
The car park was alot harder to find then the cache. Found this one with geo-cacher94 and rangerkid

Seconding the change of container. And the lack of bugs. Was looking forward to first one then was disappointed. Ah well
FlyingPigSquadron has landed! Container has obviously changed from coffee tin to a sistema clone - didn't see any TBs or coins in this one TFTC&H - lovely little spot - said hello to the camels!
A quick find of an axposed container exactly where our GPSr told us to look. Re-hid it with some additional camolflage. We don't recall seeing any TBs in the cache.
Rushing to try to fit in as many caches as possible before dark. Decided it would be quicker to take the direct as crow flies route back to car park and then ended up scrambling about in scrub for 20 mins, definitely not quicker. Teen geogirl started squealing when I said "better just have quick check when we get back to car for ticks". That got her moving thats for sure. Her brother has been giving her heeby jeebies ever since... "whats that in your hair?... little buggie thing" followed by more squealing "Muuum". Next time will just walk back along beach.

On the coast for a week so we decided to head over to Tura Beach for a look.
Walked out on the headland just up from the cache for a view north and out to sea.
J spotted the camel lying down, which was good because I wasn't looking for it.
It did not take long to find the cache while J went to survey the beach.
A spot worth a visit.
TNLN Thanks for the cache JJ Touje
