Found it on a beautiful Morning. We stayed at the Camping Space nearby and it was my second Geo Cache which I found in New Zealand. Since our holidays are some time ago I am not perfectly sure about the date!
Thx f_klee02

Found pretty quickly. Notice that one of the clips is lying nearby and no longer attached to the box.
Wow, what a lot of bent trees, gps led us in too many directions under the trees, but perserverence paid off. T4TC
This needed quite a bit of searching for us in the early morning, but we got there in the end. TFTC
TFTC. took us forever without the GPS, but Katie_matie managed to spot it.
After a lot of searching spotted it and was so happy to find it, there are a lot of bent trees!
good to get these close to home ones off the list. Cache was a bit exposed so recovered.
Mama has to work today but Granville is visiting from Invercargill so he, Papa and Guwapo packed into the CacheMobile and headed out for a days caching. Took quite a while to find this one. Both GPSr had us in the same spot but no cache. In and out of the trees to get a good signal. In the end our perseverance paid off. Salamat!
This one took quite a while, GPS coverage patchy but found it eventually. On day trip round area with Guwapo, and Papa in cachemobile
Great day of geocaching with gpsmith and walgl399. After a dinner of fish n' chips next to the beach, we ventured off to find this one, a bit of a hunt but we got there in the end.
Enjoyed walking along the beach after fish n chips for dinner with walgl339 and naysa374. Without reception amongst the trees we saw many spots that matched the hint, but it was only on the way back to the beach (preparing to triangulate GZ) that we saw the cache. It was late in the evening but thankfully there was still enough light to spot this one; I think it would have been particularly difficult in the dark. TFTC!
PB followed GPS to GZ - two minutes to walk to the cache, two seconds to find it and two minutes back again. GPS and PB's cache radar both working well today!!! TNLN TFTC
We too spent a lot of time looking in the wrong spot, with no help from the GPSr. After approaching from a few different angles and measuring things out we soon worked out we needed to go a bit further into the forest and the cache was soon spied! TFTC
After a fair bit of searching was unable to locate. GPS kept sending us all over the place but unable to point us to the right spot. Better luck next time.
Found while on a trip from Australia to Queenstown for a work conference with my mate Marshy (Blacklegend17) who came along for the ride. One of 220 finds for the 8 days we were on the South Island. Found while heading up to Timaru. Nice walk along the beach during sunset. Thanks for the hide.
Second last day of our NZ caching adventure with Quasar3671 aka The Ruddman aka Marty..... Our travels took us from from Christchurch via Queenstown for 5 days then to Dunedin and finally up the East Coast for a caching onslaught.... This cache was one find of 64 for this caching run and more than 70 for the 24th.
Pretty easy find with the clue because the GPS was playing drifting games....
Pretty easy find with the clue because the GPS was playing drifting games....
This one took a bit of hunting with GPS only able to put us approx in the right spot due to patchy coverage. Spent quite a bit of time hunting in the wrong place but after widening our search quite a bit we eventually found it.
Didn't find it because I went looking in the wrong place! next time I'm out here will get the coords right before I set off!
1130hrs Nice find, nice beach and nice day. Think trap and bent tree! The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Took a few minutes searching to find the clue object as there were many possibilities! Great cache in a great location. TFTC.
Spent 1/2 hour searching at the GPS GZ. Last finder say they covered it up, pehaps to much for us. TFTC
Second visit, this time with the clue and with Vicky. Took a long time to check all the clue objects in the area, but eventually found it. Good excuse for a walk on the beach after lunch. This was the day of the Samoan tsunami, and we had checked the radio and heard that any tsunami would arrive in NZ around 10.30am. Read in the paper the next day that any tsunami would actually have arrived at the time we were wandering along the beach...
This is our secong visit to this sight. So many pines meet the clue criteria, but this time we scored the cache. TFTC
We had a lovely walk along beach it was a bit hard to track down but my friend found it, he was pleased after he had a game of rugby, it was a good day we had heaps of fun finding this one. It was not far from a funny looking trap don't know what that was all about or what its for but it was up in the trees.
Found after watching nephew play rugby.Easy find with clue.Be careful as a animal trap near-by. Dropped off Speed Racer.
Looked under quite a few needles but didn't find the stash! Last one for the day so had to head home for tea without success here.
Left the info at home, but now I look at the clue it wouldn't have helped much! Plan to be back to walk along the beach sometime...
Despite poor GPS coverage I managed to walk straight to this one. Reading the other logs, that must make me quite lucky. Clue was a help.
Looked like I wasn't the only one who had been poking about but looking at the comments about GPS difficulty under the trees, maybe I was in the wrong spot.
Nearly gave up - but got it in the end.
Had a wee giggle at how all the trees bases were clear of pine needles
Lovely views.

[Green]T[/Green] [Red]F[/Red] [Blue]T[/Blue] [Purple]C[/Purple] From Terman8or and Yum9me on their oamaru trip!
Went running through the forest. terman8or spotted the cache. The GPS seemed to be a bit off. Thanks!
Took a while. Gps was going all over the place. ?Got in clear patch gained reception followed along the clear path and woolah! TFTC
10th of 13 with jnr johnnygoescaching crew today. Credit goes to pipebnd - could have been a long search...
Awesome cache! Gotta love trekking through the pines. Found the cache, but it was in plain sight. Covered it up with some pine needles, TNLN TFTC!
Found cache near the kids' favourite mountain biking place. The clue technically correct but utterly useless amid hundreds of the same.
Had lunch before proceeding to this one. A nice walk along the beach before heading inland.
Cheers for the cache.

497. Scrambled over needle covered dunes to the GZ. Last cache for the day & trip. Destination home. TFTC TNL SL .
We found this one when we were just about to give up but I searched all the bent pines [which there were many of].

Suprised at how big this beach is, and a very nice beach too with the right weather like today.

After a day off work and caching around Macraes, I revisited this cache on the way home. I was resigned to another fruitless search amongst our wooden friends. But after hardly getting into the foliage I spied an item of interest matching the hint straight away. There was also a pretty exposed cache showing it self. Noted the other sign too.
I covered it up a bit better. Once of the catches on the container is broken but it still closes OK. It is a relief to know that this cache wasn't turning into one of my nemesis caches. Cheers.

Walked along the beach and then into the trees but my GPS was way out because of the trees so looked for the hint and searched around many trees until I found a hint left and found it quickly. But it was so jammed that I had to dig then wedge it out with a stick. TFTCSL
The hint isn't very good at all. I looked at a few such items but not a thing turned up.. Oh well I'll revisit some other time.
well well well how many bent pines!! took around 30 mins LOL love the blair witch theme though Took Dirty Duck TB to move on and Fish Eagle Geo Coin had a brief visit. Took frog magnet, left frog toy. TFTC. After cache had lunch here on tables and really enjoyed the atmosphere and views.
It was a nice afternoon for a wander along the beach. It took 15 minutes to find the cache though, the gps wasn't doing me any favours under the trees. Got it in the end when I spotted an obvious marker Thanks.
There’s a lot of bent pines in the vicinity of GZ! Eventually found the cache (easily seen if you come at it from the right direction). #11 and last cache for the day. – unactivated geocoin (to be released later). T4TC and the coin. Cheers.
1536. We searched for ages under the wrong tree - the one the GPS took to as we arrived, then we decided to widen the search and voila - there it was. When we let the GPS settle after we found the cache it quite happily agreed that this was the correct spot! We had no trouble walking on the sand today as it was frozen solid!
Thanks

The wind was strong here today. Had to keep the eyes closed on the beach due to sand. TNLN
Nice wee stroll down the beach and a chance to play with the GPS Came back via the tracks under the pines which was much easier walking. Cheers Gav [1137]
Lovely beach.
Took a while to find the cache, as the hint wasn't much help (so many of these things!), and the coordinates were about 12m off.
Took TB Jean-Luc A, LNSL. TFTC.

We were just keeping ahead of the rain. GPS was a little erratic under the trees but because the head geocaching labrador was having such fun here chasing all the rabbit smells, we decided to spend time hunting for it.

203 Doing a run to Oamaru for the weekend, took a bit to find, my GPS was saying some 27mtrs away.
Went back for a second look with all the gear only to discover it wasnt really needed. As much as I dislike pines it was in fact quite pleasant under the canopy.

Good fun, although there is another (refrence to encrypted clue) around so that kept me stumped for a while. All and all, a good cache.
We were down this way for a flying family visit, so called in to check on this cache, drop off a coin before going "Back in Time"

Lunch here with the Sundstrum Rally on the 3rd day. Bright sun, but very cold wind. Found the cache very exposed, so hid it a bit more so that it is less easily found inadvertently. Still obvious to any experienced cacher.
[Found it, We hadn't been far away the first time we looked], the high number of bent pines does not help, [GPSr reception is problematic once you get under the trees.]
Definitely needed the hint... but which one was the tricky bit. Lovely underfoot. Took tiger puzzle/model put in babe pig pencil topper.
We decided to park the car and walk through the pines. Following the GPS was a bit tricky but we found the right place without too much trouble. Cache was out in clear view so left it covered. Took a carabena and left a rocking lady. A muggle and 2 dogs crossed our path on the way out.
Found this cache prettty quickly after parking nearby and sauntering amid the pines. Enjoyed very much. Cheers.
Found it in the middle of the night.
TNLNSL. Great Beach.

Third of 4 for the morning: here with the GSV team and Tardis Chick! Kids loved this one with the mini Pine forest. After a quick bit of triangulation we found the correct location. Nice hide. TFTC.

Spent many hours around here as a kid - folks had a holiday house in Waikouaiti. Just as well the youngest Nof came along, I was looking in what seemed a sensible place to me, she walked past about 5 trees, stopped and picked it up!
