Just like a lot of old caches, you have to put in a bit of effort to earn them. Lucky for us we picked good weather for our unplanned visit to Mt Warren so it was an easy hike up the hill. You don't feel you're actually that high till you see the views. It's a nice surprise to find this has been left as bushland and not some swanky lookout. Found with shazzar66 during GCLOGAN. TFTC Crew 153, great to find another oldie.
GCLOGAN Wednesday Looking for another full day of caching, I packed my car the night before so I could get an early start for the day.Out solo for the morning, I rounded up a few more smiles before the event.I soon met up with Geono, and we headed to this one together.Quick find.I found your cache, Rabbit Warren today.Crew 153, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Looking forward to all the GCLogan activities and events; during the events and caching activities, I teamed up with Bluewattle, Grannysmith and Snickersallan as we worked our way around the areas collecting the new caches, and even some older ones. We managed to attend most events, a few citos and some meal events. It was great to see the many different faces turning up to the different events. Today I was chasing a few caches and a couple of the events. Our team was happy to grab a whereigo or a UGO as they are known down this way. I am glad we got to do these as a group, we always seem to run into issues like the phone dying or the app dies off so there is safety in numbers. Between events and cache runs we also stopped at a few to clean out an area or stopped at for a particular reason. This was one of those, we signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for placing.
We enjoyed the walk-up the hill, as the view was amazing from up here. Ya, another oldie, dune and dusted. The existing cache is in great condition.. tftc ..
Visiting from NZ and using the opportunity to find enough caches to earn the Cosmic souvenir. Was keen on a walk up the hill here to get this oldie at the top and this one was a nice quick find here thx. TFTC
Came out for the FTF and thought Id get this one on the way. All good inside. A lovely walk. I AM GUR
Wow you can just see Brisbane city from up here on a clear day! Incredible! Thanks for the cache and bringing me up here!
I forgot to log this at Easter. I took the kids for a walk up the mountain to grab some geocaches. A nice walk once you're up on the ridge, with some nice views of beenleigh and surrounds. A quick find here. TFTC!
Found one of the critters escaped from the cache, lying on the ground a couple of meters from the hide. He is now back where he belongs and the SPOR which was scattered around is now concealing the hide again. TFTC
Found with an intrepid group of cachers..... We had an awesome outing and can't wait to get going on our next day out. TFTC.

It was the very last day of holidays for both Cosmonaut97 and me, so we decided a day of play was in order before heading back to work. A couple of plans were hatched then we chose one. The one we chose was to hunt out some of the older caches far over the Southside.
Parking the car we wandered past some tradies working on a nearby house, and began our warm walk up the path as far as possible before then trekking up and across here to make our find nice and easily with spot on coords. Not sure we will have too many more hikes like this today with that heat!
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

We thought we would be clever when attacking this cache and decided to take the sealed road up to the water tanks. Then we ran into a fence but some other kind souls have fashioned a path up to GZ along the fence line. The hill wasn’t that bad at all but it was still enough to make Mrs Woodyrothwell whinge.
When we were about 20 metres away I decided it was time to bash straight to the cache. That’s when we saw the most amazing thing that kept us entertained for almost 30 minutes. Right in front of us was a family of tawny frogmouth owls on the ground all pretending to be statues two metres away. If it wasn’t for the two balls of white fluff that were the chicks I would have stepped on the father, or more likely it would have flown up and pecked my eyes out.
It was a Mexican stand off. We were waiting for them to move and they were waiting for us. It was like one of those competitions to see who will blink first. If it wasn’t for the chicks we would never have seen the adults as their camouflage and ability to look like logs just amazed us.
In the end we gave them a wide berth but upon returning we were more strategic in our approach. We were able to see the chicks bouncing around and waving their heads like a bobble puppet. It was just amazing and we spent another 30 minutes watching them. It was only when got too close did they stick their necks out and take up their statue positions as soon as mum did. We never spotted the father owl again so he was already at the pub for the afternoon or perched somewhere where he could take our eyeballs out. tftc

Muggle65 and I are walking after spending a while sitting in our kayaks. Cache was not where it should be but probably in a drier spot so we left it there. Thank you for the fun
After an event nearby & I went to collect a few caches on our back home. In this walk we have 3 x T3’s to collect if we can find them. Another one to the list .
We replaced this container because it’s an oldie and the original log book was sooooo wet. We wrapped the old log in tissue & left it in the new container.

While the girls were at a sporting event nearby I got some exercise up on the mountain. At first I overshot the track I was looking for but was soon on the right path. The container was full of ants but that didn’t bother me signing the log.
Thanks Crew 153 for placing this great old cache!

First time to the bunny warren. A lot of new houses adorn the hillsides and if I was inclined I could have got involved with a slab pour (the builders were setting up the concrete pump).
Took two different routes to / from GZ and appreciated the northern aspect. Emptied out the water from the container and found the log damp but ok. Thanks to the duo Crew 153 and Deco for maintaining this oldie.

Took a muggle for a walk to find this oldie. She was amazed with this place that she didn't know existed.
Thanks for maintaining this for so long.

Walked up to this one from the watering stations.
A quick find after scaling the mound with the dead cacti on first. A bit of water inside but the 15-year-old logbook still looks new. Emptied the water out and made sure the bag was definitely resealed before replacing. Great view close by.

The storm was starting to move in and cut my caching day short but I had time for this past cache. Took a concrete road and then a dirt fire trail almost to GZ. Thanks for the cache
I was in the area visiting family and had just finished bowling at Mt Warren Lanes. Have been wanting to this for a while but was waiting until a cooler time of day. 4:30pm was pleasant, especially with the cool breezes the area gets but it is very hilly and a good leg workout!
After the recent DNF I thought it was time to check on the cache
It is my first visit to the cache since I placed it 14 years ago. I came prepared to drop off a new cache but lo and behold I found the original cache in the spot which I had picked to place the new cache. The lid is a bit damaged but the contents were all in good condition so I didn't disturb the cache and put it back where it was. The housing is slowly encroaching on the area As I walked back to the car I decided to place another cache to make the climb up the hill worthwhile.
Watch for "Fauna Watering Station" to be published.

Another old cache, another original log - this time with the FTF log clearly visible! I have a project to collect photos of original logs in old caches, and this one has thankfully been added to the list.

Have lived in this area for 41 years. First time I have walked up this hill. Was a great walk for an easy find. TFTC.
Cache descriptions are like real estate ads... they’re in a language all of their own... like cosy means small, renovators delight means condemned... well with a cache, “views” means climb... and even though I did most of my climb on a super highway the only obstacle being the Logan City Council truck coming the other way, it still got my heart rate up...

Friday. I was on my way home from visiting Mt Tamborine and decided that as I only needed 3 more older caches (and I still had enough time before I had to be back home), I decided to grab this cache. I then saw another older cache not too far from this one and thought I would grab that one, but since the roads to the other cache were either dirt leading into the unknown / or the roads bitumened were closed off, this cache – Rabbit Warren became my go-to cache again and I decided to forgo the other cache. I parked at the parking co-ords offered on the caching page and headed UP. Near the top of the pathway, I couldn’t see any pathway initially but a few metres further on and a good walking path presented itself. Wow! Great path. Very dry up here though (as is everywhere). My app didn’t show the paths in the area here, so I just headed off in the direction of where I needed to go. The path got a bit rocky and loose in parts but otherwise was good and the view at the top is fantastic! Thankfully there was a breeze also which I stopped to take in.
My phone was seriously not playing fair and I couldn’t pinpoint GZ, so I put the phone down and used my eyes. Soon had the cache in hand then and I was feeling on top of the world. Signed the log and though that if a fire broke out here, I’d have to run run run. As it turned out, half way back to the car, I could smell smoke! I thought I was imagining it for a while, until I looked over the fantastic view of the houses and saw another patch of bushland across the way a bit and there was a pall of smoke coming from there. Well at least it wasn’t the patch of bushland where I was, so I was grateful. I just kept going and made my way down the path which was quite the slippery slide going down (up was better and less like walking on marbles). A drink of water once back in the car and I was on my way! Another older cache found and smiley gained.
This was the 2nd of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

Did someone say Rabbit?????
Today I was lucky enough to be able to catch up with P'Prime to grab some older geocaches. It was an early start but something about early geocachers getting the finds ... Well I say lucky enough but at this geocache I did not feel lucky. I felt sore, and tired, and definitely unfit. But I kept telling myself that if others could do it, so could I. It was not fast, nor graceful... but I got there and I don't have to do it again.
This was the sixteenth cache for the day for me. Thanks for the cache Crew153!

A day out with the lovely @Net88 chasing oldie caches. This one was perhaps the toughest for my willing partner - but the mantra of "if that old man can do this, I can too" got her up the hill and then up the hill. Yes, we took the short and sharp approach - I can see the longer and potentially gentler approach now. A great little heart tester indeed. Views in one specific direction at the top were worth some effort though, and the container no issues.
Thanks Crew 153 and Deco for entertaining me at this location.

While on the way back from the Gold Coast we stopped in at Beenleigh for a bite to eat at a new take a way recommended. After a great feed we needed to walk it off so a nice stroll to this cache was a good solution.
We found a park a few hundred meters away and enjoyed a nice stroll up the hill. Once near GZ the track got a little rugged but it was easy enough to get to. We arrived and saw the tell tale signs of a cache and soon had our names in the log.
It's a pity we weren't here much later in the day as there were fireworks happening that night at the showground, this would have been a great vantage point.

Fabulous views for a fabulous search and a good cache! All well and dry. Tricky way up, easier way down! Left a couple of swaps. Tftc!
Out for a day of caching with stortigirls. This was the first cache of the day. We parked the geomobile and strolled up the track. Then we had to head up a little more, through the bush. Once at GZ, the cache was quickly spotted and the log signed. TFTC
I was out on a caching adventure day with Selva Girls today, clearing some of the caches in the area. We pulled up at gz and strolled to the cache. Great view on the way to gz. A quick find was made and back to the geomobile for the next one. Tftc Crew153 and Deco
**# 21326** Found on our 2018 mega adventure to ACT, NSW, QLD and beyond.
Another fine Winter day for a trip around town while at Beenleigh for a few days.
Lots of muggles around today and a few more good safe hides.
An excellent location, nice bush walk and a favourite point from me.
This is why I started caching and still why I keep doing it.
Thanks for the cache and the exercise Crew 153,

Well if there's a tricky way to get to a cache that's the way I go,first attempt was foiled by a fence but this time, bingo, bit steep but okay.TFTC
Just started geocaching and saw this one was close to a friends place. After a month desided to do this one, as they have walked the area. Came in from the east after a long walk up the hill and about 20 minutes of looking we found it.
Well alomst 12 months to the date, month any way, it was found and the log was sign. Cache in good condition for not been touched for so long.

As there aren't a lot of full day's caching around home anymore we decided to head south & pick up some smilies on a few newer releases & a couple of oldies but goodies.
Another invigorating short hike to get the juices flowing! LOL ...
Luckily we managed to park the Geo-beast within 50 metres of GZ & from there it was a quick uphill jaunt to the prize!
Gotta love a 4WD & bush thongs!
All good with the cache.
Nice clear views from way up here!
Made our mark & replaced as found.

NOT an easy walk at all! But on a nice day as it is a lovely one just the same! Thanks for the cache!
As with lots of people, and many times in the past for us, we took the hard way in and the easy way out, lol. What great exercise we got today. Many thanks Crew153 and Deco for placing this cache and bringing us here to add to the enjoyment we experienced today. We found the cache in good condition and thankfully signed the log. Cheers and happy caching! [^][^] This cache was part of our 25 D/T in a day challenge!
I had looked at this one before I left Brisbane as I was slowly clearing the area after a weekly game of golf. First time there was construction everywhere and no hope of getting up the hill from any angle I could see but today we made a hard job of going up, of course just bush bash only to find the track when it was time to return to the cars. Do wonder why people think it is ok to dump their rubbish in the bushland, doesn't it cost as much in fuel to get there as it would to drive to the tip. TFTC
Out and about in the area today and wanted to make a find for the day. This is a cache that I had looked at many times but the parking spot seemed quite a long way away. Having seen some options under construction, I thought I would check and see if things were ready at all, and as it turns out there is a nice spot to park a shorter walk now available.
So I headed off and without to many twists and turns soon had myself in the vicinity of GZ, and a short look around soon resulted in the cache.

Been out of the geocaching game for a while so dropped off this TB hope to find some more when I'm not so busy
Took a short cut up through an unmarked unpopulated new estate. Only 150 odd meters. Looks good. Huh! Up the steep bush and found a road to a gate and up the side of the fence. Steep. Saw a SPOR. Cache is in good condition although the lid is cracked. Found at 10.20 am on 13th April 2015. TFTC. On the way back we discovered it was easier to walk along the marked road and back through a newly concreted walkway back to the GeoFalcon. Isn't that always the way!!!
