We had collected the data for this multi during a previous visit, but at that time, we did not have an opportunity to look for the cache. After getting off the Spirit of Tasmania this morning, we came to the area to look for this and some GCA caches. It took some hunting to find the cache. We widened the search area a little, found the specific area and then worked our way through the leaf litter before finding the cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks chewinprickles for an enjoyable multi.
Quick (ha) hike up the hill to answer the questions and locate GZ. Then off to find. Small persons eyes were working today, quickly located, log signed and replaced. 3 hour expedition and a hell of alot of steps. Thanks for the exercise and experience
My first visit to the launchpad was on the 18th June 2016.
I have been in orbit for seven years and one month, but finally, ***The Eagle Has Landed.***
A historic event that I remember watching live on a B&W TV in the waiting room at Wyalkatchem District Hospital where my mother was working at the time.

While wandering around the You Yangs with Sims_family today, we discussed caches we found in the area. During this discussion, it became apparent that we had found this cache and not claimed it on one of our previous caching missions in the area.
We found the cache at some time during 2021; we are not sure which of the visits to the You Yangs it was on, so we are finally making the claim of the find today.
We love walking in the bush, and sometimes we get so caught up in that, seeing flora or fauna that catches our attention, that we forget to log a find.
Thank you chewinprickles for this Multicache.

Peckman2008 made the find, with Wombatwandering's co-ords. Didn't get too close myself. Might have belted Arun and his mates if I did. Also, Teddy needed to rest in the shade.
Went for an ANZAC Day walk to the You Yangs with Peckman2008 and Peck1963. I’d already worked out the coords on a previous visit but did not go near the final. Today was that day. I was worried when we arrived at the final because a group of people were sitting nearby. One of them, Arun, was particularly obnoxious. Luckily GZ was clear and Peckman made a fast find. Dropped off a TB. Thanks.
Little River and the You Yangs are a place we have driven past plenty of times on the way to Geelong, but never taken the time to stop and explore the area. So glad we took the time, such a pretty spot with lots of history
Being a Saturday morning, we also ticked off another hobby and did the You Yangs Parkrun while we here
Took longer to find at gz till we read some clues great day of hiking caching and trail running tftc

Forgot my pen so didn’t write in the log book but pleased to tick this one off after completing the first part months ago! Fun hide - TFTC!
Completed step one of this multi over a year ago. Now another day full of caching in the You Yangs to finally get the main prize TFTC
Well, should have known where I would end up.
Nice multi to start with before clearing a few more unfound caches off the map.

What a great location! Solved this so long ago, today was finally the day to hunt. I have been here before for a cache - was it this one? Can’t remember. Anyway geokid was on to it quick. Phew. TFTC
First reaction - brilliant climb well done ‘Parks’ . Only 400+ km from home so great to be here exploring the remarkable Yangs today. I had no idea what I was looking for until I scanned further away and that moment of recognition was a huge second wow moment ! A fave from me for such a great concept and final where I spent ages exploring. If yar like rocks this is the place to be! TFTC AND THE FUN
Found and signed with dalerious on what seemed like de ja vue.
See, we had visited the You Yangs back in February, and we can't believe that we walked straight past this Jasmer gem, on our way up to the top of this truly magical place.
So while we were in Geelong on the Saturday paddling down the Barwon. Hang on, did I say paddling. It was more like chopping and rock and stump hopping really . We were here on the Sunday re-counting our steps. And there are plenty of them here.
After waiting in line to get to the platform and count our way to victory, we crunched the numbers and were soon flying back down the mountain to another view which felt like de ja vue all over again.
Loved this multi chewinprickles ️ and I am so glad you have kept it in play. It truly is a rippa. Favourite given.

What a pair of Drongos.
Last time we went caching in the YouYangs,(not so long ago) we walked straight past this one on our way to the top looking for another.
This time catnap777 and I climbed the hill, (a multitude of steps for a man but no great leap for mankind) just to count fence railings and find out what they would show us.
We kind of almost guessed what we had to do and see from our last visit, and it wasn't too long before we were racing off to GZ excited to find this old Jasmar cache clean and dry in good condition. [^]
Thanks Chewinprickles for a ripper old multi that really has something to show off from both the posted coords and GZ and has truly stood the test of time.
A fav from me.

Headed out this morning to find some caches between Werribee and Avalon Airport on the way to work.
I hadn't planned on finding this one today, but had time up my sleeve, so made the trek.
I had worked out the coordinates back in February, but the initial search of GZ in encroaching darkness and after a heavy fall while searching for another Youies cache, had yielded only a wet empty container.
As the cache had been muggled, I had permission to log as 'found' by the then owner, but knowing I'd be back here this fire season, chose instead to avenge the DNF by finding the replacement container.
It took a couple of minutes with the help of the hint to find the well concealed container and finally sign the log.
This find brings iTEEM to #600.

Well, I was going to spend a day of the upcoming weekend in and around Geelong... but as we're all about to be restricted to a 5km radius around our homes for a week as of midnight, taking the opportunity of a good hike while I was still allowed became a priority.
But where?
The Dandenongs were considered, but a look at the weather fronts set to crash against the hills made that not a very fun prospect. The You Yangs, however...
And that's how I made it inside the gates half an hour before they closed.
Finally making the drive to see if I could find this cache, after having the coordinates in hand for a number of years, was one of the main aims of this evening's visit. Stopping for an ammo can that I'd had an eye on for almost as long, I was, at long last, within fairly easy walking distance.
And what a pleasant walk in the light of the full moon it was, too.
That was a fun multi, chewinprickles. One that everyone getting a smiley from has definitely earned. The recently maintained cache was a nice easy find by torchlight.

After running??? Ok walking up to the peak and getting the info for this cache I took the drive around to find it. A great day for caching. TFTC
Told my wife I needed to do some maintenance in the You Yangs. Lets go she says, so of we went. No argument from me! We stayed overnight in Geelong and came out reasonably early in the morning only to discover that the park was closed due to feral animal shooting. Damn after we'd come so far! At first I was willing to give it all away and head home but after a coffee and some calm down time we came back at midday when the park reopened and continued on. Did the cache as if I didn't own it just to ensure everything was still the same, it is, enjoyed the views, did a cache at the top and headed to GZ.
Replaced the cache. Yes it was more or less gone. Rechecked the co-ords and came up with the exact same figures as before so all good.
Slight change to the hint and it's good to go.

Not exactly owner maintenance but just noting the recent DNF and will be interested in future finds to confirm it's status, good or bad.
After working out the location of GZ a couple of weeks ago, I tried to find this one. I did find a suspiciously familiar looking container, without lid or contents. Whether this was the cache or I didn't look hard enough, I'm not sure. I wasn't in the best state after a heavy fall while looking for an another Youies multi cache. Ouch.
A good excuse to drive and explore the area. Lots of tracks to ride and walk here, looking forward to making a return trip with the mountain bike. Maybe after I buy a dropper seat post...

More days for the unloved bank! I returned to the You-Yangs in the evening on the way home from work, having plotted an alternate route to GZ that avoided the road closure. A short walk to GZ where it took me some time to locate the container, but was worth it in the end to claim so many unloved days, and for a mind clearing stroll after work as well. Cache and contents in good order, thanks for the enjoyable Multi!
Thanks chewinprickles for placing this Small Multi-Cache - this is find 1041 for BFMC

Got all the information for this one tonight but I will have to come back to find it another day.

Out with a few 'muggles' from my local gym on a day out. The look on their faces as I took off occasionally to grab a cache or two was priceless A lovely place and some fantastic views. This had been on the 'to do' list for far too long and after completing different parts of this cache over the past few years, today was the day to finally 'tick' it off.
*Apologies for the late log*

I was on a planned day out, which had a very rocky start- the story of which will appear elsewhere, but safe to say a lot of ducks were not getting their little ducky backsides in a row for this trip. At some point I glanced at the sun and realised I had really better abandon what I was doing and make for this cache before the light vanished.
As I tend to do, I got lost and missed the turning, and then when I looped back I got a small ticking off from a friendly park ranger. Eventually I found my way. I parked and got the kids out for a VERY swift walk to GZ.
I looked and looked. Someone had clearly looked before me, as where I had "0" metres , there was ... disturbance. I scrambled about and my hands took a beating from the search. I called the kids - we were going to have to go. Really? Just one last search. Just look harder! Reading logs and seeking hints, while searching and searching. I got right in there while telling the children to gather to leave, then finally a glimpse had me check something harder... wait .... Holy mackerel! There it was!!! Wooohoooo!
We dashed back to the car, very very happy indeed with our find.

In the You Yangs this afternoon to finally clean up the area turning all caches into smilies. With the info gathered on another visit to the You Yangs we were finally able to pick it up today while nearby grabbing another cache or 2. We struggled to find the sneaky bugger even with the hint , so after a PAF pointing us in the right direction we soon had the elusive container in our hands.
Thanks howjen567 for the multi and the hide.

Worked out the final coordinates a little over a month ago and figured today was a beautiful day to make the find. There was some kind of event happening but parking wasn't too hard to find. Had a lovely peaceful walk to gz and eventually spotted a rock that I thought looked suspicious. Very happy to have finally found this one considering how many times I walk past WP1 and even gz. Thanks howjen567

Today, I headed to the You Yangs Regional Park to attend the night event but before heading to the event, there were a few caches that needed to be found, this is one of them.
Last time I was here I made my way to the posted coordinates and I was able to work out the coordinates for the final GZ but I was running out if time to make the side trip to GZ so I saved it for another day,
Today I made sure I had enough time to complete this one so I drove around to the start of the walk and off I went, I was soon at the figure that I had seen from a far a long time ago, I had a look at what was in front of me and thought that this may take a while as there are so many spots it could be, i went to where the GPSr was indicating and started looking and to my surprise I was able to find it fairly quickly, the log was signed and I grabbed the TB that had been here for a while and I was on my way to the next one.

Treck up, treck down, treck all over!! Yep, this cache does take a while. Great to see the different perspectives though. My calculations didn't want to add up to where I thought they should go, so I did some "manual" projection, lol. Wasn't too hard to find with that very helpful hint. Dropped off a tb. Tftc.
After earlier completing the west walk to complete the last of the You Yang Views cache then walking to Flinders Peak to find the cache up there and obviously stopping on the way find the details for this multi mine and Neville_devils legs were just about had it. But we wer on a mission to finish off all possible You Yangs caches left on our map. So we drove to the closet point we could an made the walk to GZ. After much scrambling and searching I finally spotted the cache. Neville made the retrieval and the log was signed. Now my You Yangs Map is full of smileys other than one that is offline at the moment
It's a curriculum day today! I had originally planned to do the East-West walk with my mum and dad and the GeoKids, but dad suffered a badminton injury and plans needed to be changed. Instead we finished off the Great Circle Drive Series, and found another few caches along the way.
I had guesstimated A, and knew the answers to B and C before walking in to the GZ this afternoon. The hint reassured me I was in the right spot and after a few minutes searching I saw what I was looking for. TFTC!

After completing ThePacman's You Yang's Views series, I headed up Flinders Peak Walk towards this cache. I was keen to grab as many multis in the park as possible to qualify for a multi month challenge. Arrived at GZ but the whole area was total muggle central. Families, couples, joggers from all nationalities were here enjoying the view and beautiful weather. I parked myself on a rock at GZ, hydrated myself as I enjoyed the view and waited for a break in muggle traffic. When it came, started counting and the moment came when I realised Bunjil was not some image on a metal information board on the lookout but it was down on the valley floor below. I gasped in surprise, wonder and awe at the creation of this art & history behind it. Awesome stuff!
After returning to the car, I decided to drive around the Great Circuit and found a trail that was a straight walk in. Began searching and found the container after much looking. LOTS of hiding places here. Fantastic multi and delighted that you brought me to the final location. Favourite point from me. TFTC howjen567

School Holidays and that means caching YIPPEE..... Mrs Rennige and Miss 8 were out this way caching over the June Long weekend and said we wanted to come to the You Yangs over the school holidays so Mr Rennige and Master 10 could join us (they were away in the high country camping and caching that weekend). So Mr Rennige was due some time off work so we made the most of it and thought a day at the Youn Yangs was just the thing we needed.
Left Lilydale and it was dark and wet, and thought just as well we had packed the jackets in the car as we may well need them (didn't need them all day in the end), but once we got over to the city the sky was clear and blue YIPPPEE....
I knew Master 10 and Miss 8 would love it here, as they love rock climbing and checking out the world around them.
One of the last caches for the day, it was very close to closing time in the park but we knew we had to find the last few... only a few more.. we can do it. Soon had cache in hand and signed as rushed to find the last few.

Found at 9.35am, We had been to the Peak a few days before, so our visit today was to find this older cache,
We were surprised to find this one easily - not like us at all, considering the myriad of hiding places.
A great sculpture, better viewed from afar.
To our delight an Wedge tailed eagle soared above us whilst we made our find.
A great walk in
Top cache
Thanks

Today was another very productive trip to the You Yangs with CJ-Curry, plenty of caches still to do, so when he is in the country again we shall have to do some more.

An entire day in the finding. SanguineDragonflye and I found the clues for this one early in the day but only went for the find later on. Find it we did, though not without muggle difficulty and the cache being a little more buried than expected. What a great idea for a cache though, cheers!
I had set today aside as a caching day with a mission, to find all the caches in the You Yangs Regional Park that I hadn't found yet, and that was about 80 caches. This included the YYCD series of caches, You Yangs Views series and the A-Zoo series. Crawling out of bed at around 6:00 am, I had a quick shower and packed the remaining things into the car before heading off to the other side of the bay. Beating the morning peak hour traffic I was finding my first cache about an hour after hitting the road. The weather was perfect and got quite warm during the afternoon.
Needless to say I was very happy when I had managed to complete the task I set out to do and by dusk I was heading towards Geelong City to find a few more caches, and even a 'horrorific' night cache before heading for home. The You Yangs provided some challenging and fantastic caches and the views along the way made it all worth every drop of sweat. The variety of cache hides was awesome and the time and effort that had gone into their construction and/or placement was very evident so a big thanks to all the CO's.
An awesome multi that took me to the heights of the You Yangs and then down to the 'eagle'. It wasn't until I was half way through the cache that the significance of the cache name clicked. A monumental event in human history for sure. At WP1 I marveled at what I saw and took some photos before working out the co-ords for GZ. Now here it took me about ten minutes of searching before finally finding the cache. A fav for me and thanks chewinprickles.

out clearing out unfound you yangs caches today with alchey. what a beautiful day for it. a mammoth day i had previously gathered the required information on a trip round the you yangs a few months ago and whilst sitting having a rest with a sore knee with dbelco, gathered what was necessary in preparation for this. i might add that i was also caching with alchey that day, but being too slow for him with my said bad knee i was blown out with some excuse that he had a basketball set up and had to ascent the you yangs and not wait for me...hmmmm. at least dbelco was more patient (joke). anyway today as alchey was in the you yangs again with me, he got the short straw to walk the 1km route there with me to retrieve the prize that he had already done and then do the 1km trek back. only fair as he didnt wait up last time haha. well it was in one of my fave spots in the park and one id gone to to retrieve another very close by cache in my early caching days last year with an overseas visitor. she enjoyed the visit to this place too. cache was quickly located, and a lizard poked its head out of a rock looking a bit snake like gave poor alchey a bit of a fright nearly losing his glasses into the void of rocks. this probably wouldnt have been funny if he had, but he didnt lose them so it was. after cache log was signed we sat for a while and just took in the tranquility and beauty of the area. thanks for placing a cache here and giving me an opportunity to return. fave point given for the spot and clever location of the information needed to retrieve it, certainly a world apart unless your a bird or maybe an abseiler. great views from wp1 though. tftc

Today Dunko and I had the afternoon set aside for lots of caching fun around the You Yangs, we thought we had picked a nice day weather wise "true" but the bike event served to slow our progress, despite this we still managed to collect a modest number of caches and the required types.

Slink1 and I decided this afternoon to catch up on some caching. We headed off to try our luck around the You Yangs. It was a great day except for the bike event that forced us to rethink our approach to the whole activity. In spite of this we were able to collect a number of caches and all the required types.

I think we first attempted this cache back in 2012 but ran out of time to complete it. Fortunately a bit of a dig through our old cache notes meant we didn't have to head up high again to get the info. An enjoyable walk during which we collected a few other caches nearby. TFTC
Headed up and got coordinates, working our way around the You Yangs Circle Drive we ran out of time to grab the cache so will be back to finish this one
Fantastic cache!! Really enjoyed both spots! Fantastic journey to gather clues and triple count everything, then onto a beautiful view from the top. Looking fantastic from the air, and as great from GZ. Cache found by miss 7 sharp eyes!! Thanks for a great time out and two great spots! TFTC!

I did the legwork, as it were, for this cache about 12 months ago. It's taken me THAT long to come and grab the actual cache. What a top stop it is too! I'll upload a photo I took near GZ. Thanks for the cache chewinprickles, favourite point added.

Found! After a morning at home with the kiddies watching the Socceroos, my geo daughter wanted to go find treasure. Why not grab this one that we grabbed the co-ords for on another trip to the wonderful You Yangs. Once we were on the way to the final, the rain started. Great We sat in the car for 58 minutes before braving the rain, which had dropped off to a light drizzle. Made our way in and once we closed in on co-ords I found after a little search around. Quite a few spots to look.
Thanks for bringing me out on this rainy day

Suscoe was pleased to get this cache done today.
We arrived this morning to find the park closed for the monthly freal goat shooting session and so we headed out to Anakie for a few caches there.
Once we got back and the gates were opened we headed around picking up a few caches that have been on the list for far too long.
Having been to the top we had what we needed and so off we went.
The walk and drive to GZ was very quiet today out here.
The cache was located after a lap or two.
Thanks to chewinprickles for placing this multi out here.
A favourite from Suscoe.

Out on a day with alchey & Little Pinky to collect Lara Puzzles series + some other puzzles & multis in the area.
Now also teamed up with dbelco.
I was just a tag along with this one. Approached GZ and spotted muggles sitting where we needed to be. Turned out to be ThePacman, ThePacgirl and TheSnoopy. Spotted this cache with my eagle eye from 10 meters out!!
Thanks chewinprickles for the cache
Log signed & replaced. TFTC & smiley face

Caught up with Darth Briji and alchey after hearing they were in the area. First we hunted for na'wal then cr to find this one I worked out weeks ago. TFTC
Set out for a team assault of Lara's Puzzle caches and many others in the area with Darth Briji, Little Pinky and dbleco
After the long walk in we thought we'd have to wait out the muggles at GZ but they turned out to be ThePacman, ThePacgirl and TheSnoopy. after a friendly chat Darth Briji found the cache.
Thanks for brining us out to such a great spot chewprickles

Grabbed the info for this few weeks back however didn't grab Gz as was getting dark. Came back today to finish rest of the area and soon had cache in hand with 2 more on the walk in. Tftc
Great climb. Rain came down a little more steadily on ascent to GZ. Nice place to visit. Even a few wallabies out today. Tftc
Took the eagle eyes of my friend to spot this cache...I'm glad we didn't attempt the other caches in that section of the park first before the main cluster of caches!
Found with Trailrunning on another Monday caching adventure, We were both had time off work so this gave us the opportunity for a big cache run, we headed out to the You Yangs and then headed towards Geelong, a good time was had with some interesting places visited. Finally got this one off the list, I could here those words "Geez I hate them in rocks and next thing I spotted it, the page opened at daks log. Thanks chewinprickles for the cache.
Having taken the day off I'd planned to grab some caches in the Geelong North area, and was happy to hear that Rebel had also taken half a day off. Meeting at the end of the Eastern Freeway we headed over the Bolte and Westgate to gain access to the rich rewards of an un-visted and un-plundered area. We had a great day of caching with my tally 60 Finds / 2 DNF's. We will be back next week to do it all over again, as I've solved all the puzzles in the Geelong area and it's not time to collect. A very easy find on bikes. Thanks
Early start today this morning to beat the heat. Grabbed the required info and set about doing the math. With a new set of co-ordinates I set off for the prize. A little bit of a search and the well concealed cache was in my hot little hands. Thanks for the walk !! TFTC chewinprickles.
Finally found this one after spending quite a bit of time looking. Needed a hint from a previous post back in 2009 to help us find this one. TFTC
Our 7th find of the day. Had previously followed some advice re counting on an earlier visit to WPT1 and so, with the answer in hand, made the calculations and headed for GZ. Arrived to find a number of muggles in the area, however they soon moved on and the find was made, much to his delight by geo-boy 2.
Have been to the You Yangs several times, but never to this particular spot.
Thanks chewinprickles for the walk and the cache!

Know where it is (or thereabouts), but unfortunately didn't leave enough time to get to GZ. Since it may be a long while before I return, I'll log this DNF in thanks for the cache. Not sure about the title, but I do like the original story.
Square_pegs and I have come to visit the You Yangs and find a few caches here. After finding the clues to supply the co-ordinates we're finally here towards the end of our visit. It was a mission to find the cache and we thought we might have to give up but then SP spotted something and sure enough it was the cache - whew! Thanks Chewinprickles.
This was an excellent multi that had us visiting different parts of the You Yangs. I wasn't sure at first if we had our numbers correct, but were very pleased with a peak at the hint that we were in fact in the right spot. A quick methodical search and we found the container.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Well-thought out themed multi. I got to WP1 a while ago, got the co-ords, and went back today to target GZ. But I forgot the co-ords, and didn;t want to hike back up to count the bars. So using the clues and hints here, I soon got it without the exact co-ords. TFTC, chewinprickles - I really enjoyed this one.
I started this one at wp1 a few days ago. So it was back today to complete it . After a stupid stuff up at wp1 with the the maths and ending up been out by 150 metres roughly, a recalculation was made which placed us in a logical location. After a 5min search the cache was found, signed and replaced.
This is a really enjoyable cache.
Thanks for bringing us here.
Cheers

We solved the quizzes and have the final coords some time ago. That was fortunate because the track to Flinders Peak was closed. We found the cache after some searching. It was very well hidden and there was plenty of nook and crannies the cache could have been hidden in. We took a tiger figurine and left a dinosaur. Thanks for the cache.
Words cannot describe how disappointed I was not to find this. I left it way too late and was forced to run back to the car (a 1.2km run) in 4mins. I had 5mins to look. I didn't turn up the goods. Thanks anyway ChewinPrickles, I will be back for sure. Awesome hike up the mountain too.
Found this one on a trip to the Youyangs with 6hinemoa2.
We made hard work of the climb in the heat today, and after a few other walks.
Was a little cranky with myself for not doing this one earlier, as we'd be walking into a similar area twice in the same day. Oh well, the exercise did us good.
If it wasn't for two very early logs found by going way back on the iphone, we'd still be there.
So, the clue, "Inside, middle, middle" is worth repeating.
Thanks Howard, certainly a fascinating sight from both angles, and a fave for me

Love the theme for this one!
Mountain goat Bogonghazy sped up Flinders Peak while I took the path slowly. Hot sweaty and dreaming I walked past the launch pad so had to return. Of course my captain had worked out all the necessary info by the time I had arrived (smart move on my part). I happily headed down the path back to where we had been previously just a short while ago.
On rechecking calculations we landed just where we should where a quick check of previous logs helped to locate the prize. We walked back to the car for a much needed drink. TFTC chewinprickles

Really enjoyed this cache. Earnt a favourite from us
We chose a windy day for this, but atleast the skies were clear. It was geobrothers clever idea to run to WP1, didn't quite make it, but gave it a good go. Got to WP1 and we were literally breathless. From both the exercise and the view. No matter how many times we come here, we are still able to appreciate the natural beauty.
We found WP1 very interesting and after calculating the coordinates for GZ we were quite intrigued. We headed off apprehensively as we didn't fancy backtracking.
After a fair drive to GZ we were blocked by the gate. So back on foot we were. After a quick jog we arrived at our calculated coordinates and everything started to fit into place, the puzzle at WP1, the hint, the cache name...
We began what felt like an endless search, then after reading a previous log we located it quickly. Signed the log, which is now full. Geocoin is no longer here either.
Thanks for a great cache and a very enjoyable few hours

We had calculated the co-ordinates for this cache last year and discovered an unusual Geocaching anomoly.
Today, having resolved the problem we visited the GZ and concluded our search.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt chewinprickles.

was very hard to find the container. i had almost given up but decided to have one last attempt and then found it. great hike though
I printed this one out a while ago and my driving directions did not show it was on you yangs park
so i took the dog and drove ---only to find on a hot day we were going up to flinders peak---the dog was exhausted and so was I so we went home without getting to the GZ
will do again on a cooler day

I must admit I was a little bit puzzled by the coords of GZ "What? There? Seems a little bit odd." Well it turned out that's the spot - and the hint made perfect sense.

We are sure that we started this one some time ago but had no idea what the answers were or where we had put them (pre GSAK) so today we joined a group assault on a few caches in the area and this was one of them. Although we had no information at all we were still able to locate the cache, thanks to the help of a few fellow cachers. GZ is an amazing location made even better by the company on the day.
Thanks Chewinprickles for the cache

Dropped a TB into the cache when we found the container just two metres from the cache we were really looking for.
We found this cache at X:XXpm as the 5th of 6 during the surprise picnic for Maccamob in the You Yangs. I had done all the preliminaries for this cache over 4 years ago after doing another couple of caches but when I found out that the final was going to back track me a fair way, I decided to come back another time. Quite a few years later, today was the day and in a company of thousands I was able to sign the log of what has now been my longest multi from start to finish. Fiiiiiiinally, I get what the name of the cache means. We found something else quite geocaching related only a couple of metres from GZ too. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Like Rabbitto, I had done the preliminaries for this cache a long time ago. At last my name is in the log book! Thanks for the cache.
I got the data for this cache on Thursday (the 17th) but ran out of daylight before I could get to GZ. Mrs GarnerCX mentioned at dinner last night that she had always wanted to go to the You Yangs, so we headed out today to finish off all the remaining You Yang caches.
We found GZ no problems, and MrsGarnerCX started at one side and I was walking around to the other side when I heard those magic words "found it". We signed the log and managed to squeeze everything back in. The next finder needs to bring a small swap!
Thanks for a really well thought out and appropriate offset cache. Great!

Did the 1st part of this a while ago, and last week went on the circuit walk.. but still didn't get to the GZ. Today, went for a walk with Kingbern and the geokids and was on the right path. TNLN. TFTC.
found this mornig last of the you yangs caches for me TFTC TNLN, knew the area and got the location via the write up.no GPS required for me on this one.
Trekked to WP1 and calculated the maths on arriving at WP2 i was nearly beaten again!! But luck again followed me and I found the cache!!
Find # 728 @ 19:30 and 5th for the You Yangs cache run with tackle_head.
Just as we arrived at the car park, big black clouds were rolling over with a few sprinkles of rain falling on the windscreen. Like a cat on a hot tin roof, tackle_head was out of the car saying lets do it, so we did. We weren't going to let gale force winds and rain deter us. So off we trotted, and trotted and trotted and finaly arrived at our first WP. We did the calcs but like others before us, couldn't get "bbb" to equal a three digit number which made us feel we had the wrong calculations. We checked, double checked and checked again but still came up with the same answer. After reading a couple of logs, we decided we had a couple of possibilities and one pointed to a locale only 100 metres away so off we trotted again. We searched to no avail and after putting some more thought into it and using brain power as opposed to mathematics, we both came up with the same conclusion. It has to be there. By this time the big dark clouds were heading out over the Dandenongs and we again saw sunshine. We headed over to "there" and after about 15 - 20 minutes of searching we finally found the clever hide and boy, were we happy to tick this one off. This has been one hell of a walk, enjoyable I must add and one I'll not forget in a hurry.
