Might be nice if the coords have changed that someone who finds this to give the new coordinates rather than a 25 meter scrounging around in thorny bushs and what not. cheers
After yesterdays debarcle that was the GF replay, and an after midnight pick-up at the airport of stinga4, then long drive to Bendigo, I thought this morning I'd grab a cache to help lift the spirits a little. When 15 mins couldn't reveal the prize I caved and rang stinga4 who has found this one before. Well I should have known. Plenty of rain lately might have sent this cache on a trip. Signs of the water level being quite high here could be bad news. I hope not. TFTS
My girlfriend and I searched for about 15 mins and couldn't find it. Didn't understand the clue. Still good fun
Accompanied with Crank1 and Alchemy2.... We love it so much and we enjoyed search until Crank1 found the container.... SL. Thanks hondo222
Found it with girls
Had lots fun in beautiful Bendigo country today
Thanks for the cache and hunting

Ofter orienteering nearby, headed off to find a few.
Unfortunalty after all three of us searched for 20 mins, we were unable to find the prize. Coundnt work out the hint, so eventually gave up and headed off to find another one.

1459: I surveyed the scene and had just started on the GZ according to my GPSr when A+ called out "Is this anything to do with the cache?" 'This' was a topless container lying in the car park and inside was the log - dry. Last entry on 11th March was "Council workers". A+ found the top a few metres away - no longer a snug fit to the sontainer which we guess had been run over by a vehicle. There is sign of recent heavy rains gouging out channels so it is possible those rains dislodged the conatiner from its hide.
After logging we hid the container in a nearby spot and have advised the owner. Anyone looking in the meantime can nbe assured it is within a 25m radius of X unless of course it has gone walkabout again.

Found it will my daughters, brother and his girlfriend. Nice spot. Girls where interested in this spot and of course we had to take some photos right on the X. TFTC
bzzt.Had a good look around, but no sign of it. Reckon we had the clue worked out too, but maybe not.
We sprung squalid at this one, we tried to help but we were of no use.. The clues didn't help us either. We brought our own baby but she kept moving around so the baby part of the clue was no use.
Going to have to ask for a clue from someone before we tackle this one again.

For some reason I thought this would be in an old mine! Name is very appropriate when you get there [^]
Wow what better place for a cache then the Geo centre of Victoria, thanks for taking us here and finding out a small piece of history on the plark. Oh and X does mark the spot.
JABs.

Found this cache easily with the help of Spiderman Detective & Little Bob the Builder after a previous visit in the dark which resulted in a DNF. While Spiderman Detective was waving his kaleidoscope there was a slight mishap when it ended up landing on the wooden X and broke. All was fine when we discovered the small plastic treasures inside which Bob and DS shared these between them.
Found with Bushfire whilst out on a caching weekend. This was another one of those frustrating Bendigo caches that had us both scratching our heads wondering where we had gone wrong. We knew we were at the centre, but couldn't crack it! Even more frustrating for me was that Bushfire found the "baby" in a spot I had searched earlier. Damn!
Thanks for the hide in a spot that I had never been to before.
Thanks for the hide in a spot that I had never been to before.
Speedy Stamps and Bushfire decided to have a weekends caching between Ballan and Bendigo and try to find some simple caches and some more devious ones. We did not find as many as we would have wished but found some great devious ideas and hides especially by the master hider of Bendigo and surrounding areas. (Romax)
We have never been to the centre of Victoria before so that was a plus.We tried all manner of ideas here but still could find it and the clue we still do not know what it means. Eventually the devious cache was in hand, signed the log and we were away.
Thanks hondo222 for the cache and for bringing us out here.

We came back at 9:30am to look for this one, it was getting to me a bit but I said NO it has to be around this area and sure enough we found it!! very tricky and we both got a kick outta it we were there for about 15min before we found it. TFTC It is soooo much eaiser in the daylight!!!
A 9pm journey, out for a study break with my friend. we tried finding this tricky little one, not completly understading the clue we both had mixed feelings what the baby was. 15min later my friend mentioned she heard someone in the church, which totally freaked me out so I quickly jump back in my car and said forget about this one!! She said let's go back tomorrow morning and find it!!! I hope we have better luck tomorrow!! Thanks for this adventure:)
Find # 547 @ 16:20 and the 19th for the day on the Bendigo area caching tour.
This is a hard one. After reading the plaque, I had a good look around. I had a better look around after peeking at the clue.
Being the stickler that I am, I perservered and soon had the cache in hand. Great hide. SL TFTC

A very cleverly hidden cache. I was lucky enough to find it very quickly.
I noticed that this cache is highly protected by Slater & Gordon (well lots of slaters named Gordon anyway)
Seconds after I had rehidden the cache some muggles pulled up to take a look at the monument (closest call I've had!)

Found at 1515. After reading the plaque a very craftily hid micro was found. Thanks hondo222.
As this one hasn't been found since June 14th we decided to work that part of town today.
Found after 10 mins in the rain.

Found at 0800. Well this was certainly a surprising little visit to this location. Had a quick read of the plaque before spotting a likely hiding spot, and sure enough, the cache was there, although hidden in a manner I wasn't expecting. I like the fact you didn't opt for a simple cache hidden under sticks and leaves.
Thanks for the history lesson.

What a great place. 3 teams were searching for over an hour until it was eventually found - a great little hiding place.
Found It
With DEJH, JanPip & family.
It great to stand on the cross and know that I am standing centre of the Victoria.
Been there twice, First one was a quick trip.
Came back for 2nd one with 2 teams and family.
Been search whole area. Nearly give up because couldn't able follow the clue. "BABY"
DEJH - "D" found the cache. the logbook was already fully. we wrote on top of the logbook paper.
Thanks for the cache and bring us to the centre of Victoria.

After 3 teams searching for nearly half an hour we nearly gave up.Clue didnt help us much. But i was the lucky one to find it just about as we where going to leave. Great little hide.
clue was not helpful, but found by a friend (non geocacher) we shot her later, once we logged in.
Had visited this cache once before, found today after a short search, very tricky hide. Log is now very full. Thanks for the cache.
Found this one on our second try. Finding one hidden in a similar manner earlier in the day helped get us in the right frame of mind for this toughie. The log is indeed full, but we did manage to squeeze in. TFTC.
Found this one, great spot but you will need to put a new log book in because its full.

Finally found it, and the ants have really taken over and we had a hard time retrieving the log to sign but in the end we did.

We found our 2nd Hondo222 cache at 5:55pm as the 10th of 15 on Day 1 of our "Where'd Bendy Go?" long weekend. A really cache worthy spot. It was over a year since this cache was last found though and this made it very difficult to locate. Eventually we did locate it in amongst the ants nest. Thanks for the cache from D, H & A B-A.
Our sixth cache for the day back over in the Bendigo area. An interesting little spot indeed and a clever hide that took us a few minutes to find. Well done Hondo. Cheers.
Hmmm - another sneaky hide. We were aware of the site - as we were there for the official opening (see pics). E-mailed a friend for a clue but it didn't help! Stumbled across this crafty hide on our third passing visit. Whacko well done.
Found at 4:30pm after a short search. My first micro using this type of container - no doubt there will be many more!

After a good search I had to phone for a clue so not a legitimate find as such. Very clever and well done

Found with Farmers5 on a weekend trip. I Enjoyed the location of this one - something that I didn't know about. It took us longer than it should have especially as a lost soul had accidentally given away a tip earlier in the morning! Very nice hide though. TNLN. Thanks for the hunt and hide hondo222.
Having my own cache called "geographical" which is based on the dead centre of Melbourne,i was keen the grab its state equivelant. After parking at the famous "x" we searched for a few minutes in what we thought were only a few possible hide locations. But ,it was Alansee who noticed the clever hide first and the goods were revealed. Thanks to Hondo222 for the location and clever hiding tactic!TNLN.
Cache number 23 on my foray around Bendigo today. Found late in the day. This one was proving a little tricky and at one stage I even thought it was muggled. I found a cork in a hide at the base of the stump and thought it might have been "collected". I was in the middle of trying to phone a friend when I found it . tnln. Nice work on the hide.
relativly easy find for Bendigo especially when you get to appriciate how they think.

Found at 4.40pm GAFF1. We have been to the centre of Aus - both places! And now to the centre of Vic. Wow what's next! We had a bit of trouble as we were around 7 metres away from the cache when we found it. What a clever hide though. Well done hondo222.
Another great caching example and another must do for the coffee swilling clan. We have been to the centre of Melbourne, the geographical centre of Australia and now the geographical centre of Victoria.
The cache was found after a brief search in likely spots, and after logging the find the usual photos were taken.
Many thanks Hondo222 for the significant cache well worth the stop.

Interesting location, the location of the actual centre was a much debated topic some years ago, with the result of different mapping organisations publishing varing calculated coordinates for the centre of Victoria. Thanks for the cache Hondo222.
Tried to find this morning but at that stage lacked the skill.Returned as an afterthought on my way home and found in 2 minutes as my Bendigo micro skills had been well honed by now. Thanks hondo222 for showing me this place.

My 26th of 27 caches for the day. This took us ages to find. Our GPS sent us everywhere. Happily A2YG found the cache and we were rapt. Cache was found at 1945. Thanks so much for the cache.
Cache nineteen of twenty finds on a wet, windy, cold and can someone tell us why we do this, day's caching day with Dak’s Emu Mob, Kiwideb, and Muzza. Dark and wet and after checking several places in the area that we had as GZ with no luck Dak called the Crackers help line. We all began searching the indicated area and I finally found the well hidden cache some meters from where we were looking. Thanks for showing us this location.
The Alliance was out in force today with four members present. So this is another find for The Rebel Alliance. L.L.T.R.A
This was our penultimate cache for the day, having visited around 26 others previously. It was cold and raining, and we searched where-ever our GPSr's pointed, all without success. We ended up ringing a previous finder, Team Crackers, whose advice set us searching more thoroughly a place we had already looked in.
It wasn't exactly there, but A2YG found the well hidden cache a little further afield again, in a place no-one had looked. Thanks for the cache, and for allowing us all to stand exactly on the centre of Victoria.

Sixteenth of seventeen finds on a rainy, cold day's caching in and around Bendigo with acts2youthgroup, Kiwideb, and Muzza. It was drizzling rain. It was dark. It was miserable. We looked in the obvious spots. No cigar! We looked in non-obvious spots. No cigar! The logs indicated a devious camo job, so we tried to see something "Bendigo". No cigar! I even checked around the nearby hall. Since the description says 'X marks the spot', we even investigated the X and survey marker. Still no cigar! In desperation, we called the Team Crackers help line, who gave us some hints about where to look, but didn't tell us what we were looking for. We still managed to search the wrong place, until Acts2YG found the cache at 1945 some metres away. It's a micro, so I made no exchange.
To use a hackneyed cliché, this is yet another place that I would have been unaware of if it weren't for geocaching. Thanks to hondo222 for bringing me here, and for the cache.

Found by Mary & David at 1115. Continued on from Emu Rock and enjoyed the bush track. Delighted to get to GZ and learn something that the average tourist wouldn't discover from a guide book.
