Logs

27-Dec-08
Its been a month since the "Needs Maintenance" log was posted and not even an acknowledgement by the owner.

22-Dec-08
No action after multiple DNFs, user hasn't logged on for 2 months, hasn't responded to an email a month ago.

15-Nov-08
I couldn't find it either, even with some guidance from a previous finder.

15-Nov-08
Would the owner be able to check this one?

31-Aug-08
We thought we'd have a look for this one but to no avail. Thanks guys.

29-Mar-08
bah, really bad location for a cache, wouldnt recommend to anyone taking kids with them too. spend forever digging through rubbish and such to no avail with the sent of dead animal in the air.

29-Mar-08
Our only DNF for our big day out caching. Very ordinary location - I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially new cachers. A pain that it's my closest to home unfound traditional though.

Easy find after ignoring the GPS and searching by instinct!! TNLNSL

first cache in 08... found with Gozling in hot conditions. Cache coords out by 19 metres but might just have been the day... thanks for the cache, left "makin tracks" TB. TNSL cheers voogoofish

Thank you for the cache. Picked up one whole shopping bag of rubbish and hardly made a dent.

15-Dec-07
Literally driving by today and took the opportunity to find this one. Not the cleanest spot. Thanks for the updated coordinates in the logs as they were spot on and made it an easy find. TNLN TFTC

A quick and easy find for us tonight - TFTC Big Grin

27-Oct-07
The better coordiates take you straight to the spot but be careful of picking up the right container. A lot of rubbish undr the trees.

09-Sep-07
Found this one after a bit of driving around, not the most scenic spot for a cache.

29-Aug-07
Thanks to the updated coords in the logs below, I managed to find this one. When I saw the site, I thought, "Oh No!" but the birds were in the right pattern today. TFTC

12-Aug-07
Drove up to this one after watching the sunset over Adelaide from a little lower down. Having not read the notes, we followed the GPS arrow which led to a spot with no possible hiding spots. Common sense told us to cross the road and look. Wondered if it was going to be worth it, when Kettle-twin 1 came up with the goods (about 30m away from the GZ the GPS showed us).

17-Jun-07
Another good spot for a CITO event! TNLNSL, thanks malamootie.

17-Jun-07
Although the area has a great view, it's basically used as a dumping area. Watch what you grab when finding this cache.
Cache has a couple of strange 'goodies' in itTwisted

Better coordinates are at 34 54.820 & 138 41.739.

Owner needs to update web page after all the comments about GZ position.

Hooray, although we were a bit confused by the supposed GZ. Thanks for the cache.

15-Feb-07
Under what? Could just about see this from supposed GZ on the other side of the road! Resident cockroach was not happy being disturbed from its slumber. Tried to hide cache a bit better this time.

Found after drifting about 20m from GZ. Scared the big huntsman spider that has taken up residence, and managed to sign the log without being bitten. Cache does not close properly, may need to be looked at.

TFTH - quite a climb up that hill!!Red Face

07-Dec-06
Absolute murder on the bike! The views were good though. GPSr had me wanting to go over the fence on the other side of the road and had me scratching my head long enough that a local asked if I was okay (she'd driven down the hill and I was still there when she drove back up). Eventually checked Shonkylogic's log and aha..... found it.
TN, left a pencil because there wasn't one in there.
The container is no longer closing properly, but shouldn't be a problem for awhile, given the lack of rain....

Oh, and absolute murder on the bike coming back down too. My hands hurt from braking so much!

02-Dec-06
No need to jump the fence, that barbed wire is rather sharp! Try the other side of the road! TNLN.

16-Nov-06
Found 15:45. Picked up after the school pickup. Have been here before and attempted to find GZ without luck. Found today about twenty-five meters off the published coords. As with Nibs hard to see any view from this position, unfortunately Sad. TNLNSL. TFTC.

First looked for this as a ftf when in the other location. Parked right next to it this time. Rubbish rubbish rubbish. Nothing to look under to find this time either. TNLNSL
Thanks for the views on the way here...
Cheers.

This cache had the promise of a beauty as I admired what I could of the scenery on the way to it. Must admit that I was disappointed when I got to the location. Not more $#@*! olive trees! And not a view in sight Twisted. For some reason, sat lock was atrocious today, and never really got better than 20m. Luckily I almost parked on top of it and found it in the first place I looked. Took a slinky and left a mask. Cheers.

Needed an excuse to test out my new torch.
There appears to have been a clean up in the area.
A lot of the rubbish has been pushed up against the fence line.
I tip toed around all the sryinge needles near gZ.
Interesting the last people to find the cache - not list on this site but in log book -left a sachet of tomato sauce and a tampon an unusal swap selection.

06-Jul-06
going to remove the cach there are needles about !!!!
sorry guys was unawear so ntere beening needles there

21-Jun-06
The GPS had me standing nearly right on top of it. Easy find without having to do too much searching.

19-Jun-06
I'll just echo some others views & say your right - not the best location, but the views are nice!
First time I've wished for a pair of gloves while searching GZ!
TNLNSL, Cheers.

14-Jun-06
Found by Mary & David at 1320 after a tip-off from the chocolate amphibian. We don't do so well in rocks, and rubble is even worse. You won't get any argument from us about this location not being the best - the locals seem to think it's a rubbish dump, and there are syringes about! The views to the horizon make up for it to a certain extent though. Took Harry notes, left fish hooks. Our thanks again to malamootie.

04-Jun-06
Used the skippy help line here too. I hate rocks. Slabs of concrete are not my favourite either. Impressive views of the Athens of the south.

I came, I didn't conquer! Sad
Obviously didn't look under the right 'something'!

02-Jun-06

[I could see the Crow lights blazing in the distance. Great corporate seat. I searched for a good 20 minutes, in the obvious place. GZ had me not quite up to the sheet of iron.] (but it's not there). [I could see Skippy tracks - yes - thanx Skip!

Crows and Power lines don't mix. Come to think of it, have you ever seen a happy bird on those thick electric field generators. Do these birds get cancer? [|)][|)] One thing for sure, no Crows sitting sitting on the Power tonight.

Left a doggy clip and took an electric blue key ring.

Clear skies, TeamAstro. Thanx to malamooties.]

We we first there but MiniZyth1 was put off by a cockroach so we spent 15 minutes looking in the wrong place until Skippy rocked up and eventually found it where we were all looking.
So second we were. Good view at night though..
Took matches Surprised and bobby pins, left ball, Z keyring and bubble blower.

Drats another cacher is already here, don't some people have a life, Razz. Anyway I went to the most obvious spot which was no where near GZ and then walked over to meet Mr Z and M/S miniZ. we searched all over the place and after a while with Mr Z next to me I spotted it. talk about finding a needle in a hay stack.
Took Dolphin and TB whistle and Left Horse
Thanks malamootie
