After working nearby for many years I knew were to head for this one. Well hidden, a bit of a bush bash to get there but easy our. TFTC
Decided to make the most of the nice weather before being cooped up at work and with a new aim to collect enough points to complete the Cosmic Quest I planned a short walk in the area to pick up a few caches. I had a meeting at the nearby Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre so took the opportunity to find this cache prior to starting the work day. It's a lovely view of the city skyline from this elevation. The cache was quickly located and my name added to the log. Thanks Alansee for the cache and giving me some lovely early morning views.
Easy find once stop the GPS from bouncing around. No snakes in the hidey hole today! Cheers
Maybe it's the dusk, maybe the long grass or maybe just me but couldn't find it today. I did however find what it's surely a tradeable, lying where I expected the cache to be...
We are on holiday from NZ for a week. Today, we decided to go for a walk to see the bats (totally awesome by the way)! This cache was a slight detour but not enough to deter. As we approached GZ we noticed a few others searching also - caching snap! Nice to meet you Greggsy2000.Thanks Alansee
I had an errand in Northcote today, so took the opportunity to search out some caches in the area. After encountering Pooh Sticks, I rode on up the hill to this tucked away spot. As with so many scenic lookouts, the 360 view is gone, with only a small window towards the CBD not obscured. The cache took me a little longer than it should have, but it was located after a search of likely spots. Even though one clip from the lid has parted company, the contents are still quite dry, which is more than can be said for the old cache jar underneath this one. TFTC Alansee, and for bringing me to this interesting spot
Cute little hike up the hill, but I could not get a view of the city until I was away from GZ. After a "swim" in the dam and a jumpy GPS, I was glad to have taken a peek into the right hole. Be cautious here as the grass is long! TFTC
Due to road closures along the boulevard; I navigated this one from the opposite direction! Quick find on a beautiful day! Thank you for bringing me here!
GPS had me searching elsewhere for far too long. Eventually, I found where i was supposed to look, and the cache was located and signed. Awesome view.
Great little stop over while trying to find the Key Asylum cache. I swear that cache owner is trying to make people go crazy.
Anyway, I left a little something take ONE and move it on in any way you see fit.

In our home town and never knew this little park with city views was here. Thanks for bringing us here
Fantastic spot! Area was very wet and teaming with life, adding to the adventure and requirement to think a bit about approach. Cache was dry and in good order. Great hide, thank you for the cache. FP from me.

Found cache at 14:54
After arriving in Melbourne yesterday, we’re spending the day caching out in the suburbs, grabbing good DTs and different cache types.
Saw this up here while doing the trig, not such a dry dam anymore… SL TNLN
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Alansee

Caching in Melbourne today…. We’re planning on chasing a couple of wanted DTs with whatever else turns up…
There aren’t many trigs around here, it was the nearby one that coaxed us here…. Cache was found in good condition…
Starting to rain now, might be it for the day…

I came for the trig and had a look at the map as I was halfway back to the car. Tftc.
It was pretty wet here and this is a late log. Hoping that all is still good here now.
Thanks for a good view of Melbourne Alansee and a short sharp walk.

A nice walk and a great find after dropping the kids at school before a late start at work.
Beautiful views of the city and a nice peaceful location in spite of the traffic noise. Saw no one. Cache in good condition. Gum boots were a good idea!
Love an oldie. Thanks alansee for keeping this one going for so long

we love watching fireworks
from the rented roof of our two-storey sharehouse, you can just make up the splashing colours of fireworks launched from the cbd
the skyscrapers do their best to block the view, but you can still see the bursting glimmer of fireworks right on the edge of the horizon
that is enough for us
along with the adrenaline of getting up and getting down from the angled shingles
as advertised in the title, the view of the city is grand from here
and perhaps this place is forgotten enough to be empty of new year’s eve revellers
so: we will have to keep this place in mind

On my way to the airport and I thought I’d stop and get this oldie. Great view at night.

Super tranquil spot! Only wish it were a little warmer and sunnier...seems winter has hit early this year! coordinates pretty much spot on and an easy find. We enjoyed finding the cache and the view...thanks so much
An older cache that I stumbled upon by accident whilst wildly off-course for a multi. I uploaded the photo before realising that there is a seat with the view a short distance away. Thanks for the cache Alansee.
I was in the area and decided that it was time to do some maintenance. There is a new everything there now.
Found it! Great fun, thanks so much!
Please note, cache box is a little worse for wear. May need to be replaced soon. In the meantime, finders please be careful

GPS needed a little time to settle here but a beautiful spot and a fun hide. Thanks for the cache and the beautiful view!
The lookout spot nearby really does have a magnificent view.
Dropped off a trackable into this cache as this was pretty much at the edge of our 15km travel limit.
Definitely not one to try after heavy rain and I’d be wary of snakes and other creepy crawlies in the long grass over the warmer months.
Geochild had the right idea standing back and waiting for me to do the hard work balancing on branches and logs to avoid getting my feet wet when retrieving the cache

We were very pleased with the experience overall - might be a touch difficult if the weather isn’t permitting, but would definitely recommend to a friend. A brave friend at that!
There was a gap in my calendar and this one seemed like an easy cache to fill it with.
Retrieving the cache was actually quite troublesome.
Thanks for the cache and the opportunity to see the fantastic views.

Great spot! Had to clamber out on the log and try and avoid falling into the swamp. Success!
The logs at the GPS point are under water, dog enjoyed the swim, however I was not prepared to get wet!
Clear skies so though I'd head out and do a bit of mountain biking with my muggle mate Deej, need the exercise after all this lock down stuff. So was heading around the Yarra and spotted a few caches that I had not found. Ended up finding 5 new caches, all in all a good afternoon out, also managed 18km of bike trails.
So the dam was full of water and worse of all you have to stick your arm all the way in.. with all the spiders, snakes and frogs in the area... not my favourite one... but glad i got it.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

My 4 YO and I have been up many times but before we were cachers.. Today I brought the 2YO up here as well and found this cache..
Thanks for that one, good spot!!
Thanks for that one, good spot!!
TFTC!, What a lovely place, we Watched a little of the sunset. I love these hidden places so close to the city. This is one of the best things I love about GC, I love finding new spots to be! Thanks
Nearly have up on that one. Location, location, location. A great cache and even better views. Left a trade for others to enjoy. TFTC DEFINITELY A FAVE
This took me longer than I’d like to admit. I got up close and personal with the pile of logs before using my brain. AHA! Now time to enjoy the view.... SL TFTC
What a great view! Thank you for bringing me here. Without a cache I think I wouldn't find this place, tftc.
This was a gem of a find. The wet grass meant that we weren't concerned about slithery friends. The rainclouds had cleared and we were rewarded with a lovely view from the top. TFTC and a different angle of the city skyline Alansee.
A hazy afternoon view to the city. Lots of rainbow lorikeets being very noisy. TFT views.
Great view - the weather was starting to turn here. Found this interesting disc imbedded in the ground further down the path.. survey marker perhaps? HN and T
What a fantastic spot! I love seeing new views of Melbourne, and this one is a stunner. I was out with team milljrh and abthings on a very long walk, and we found ourselves in the vicinity of this cache. It was very quiet today, as the weather was trying to storm, so we had the place and the view to ourselves. The cache itself was found after a short search, and then we were on our way... Giving this a FP for an awesome 'secret' spot.
well we came for the trig and so a cache talking about the view was a bonus tbh.
thanks for the cache.

We were actually here to find and log the trig point. I parked the rental among a 'gang' of motorbikes and admired the view from the road before scooting up the bank with 1toolman and stainless steel rat to the trig and more views. A quick check showed up this cache not far away so we circled around and came in from behind (to keep clear of the coupe and their drone on the seat). We were surprised at how dry it was here.
Thanks Alansee
Thanks Alansee
Thanks for bringing us to this great spot. It Was an easy find after visiting a relative in the nearby hospital
Excellent view even on a rainy Monday. No muggles about, everybody is scared of rain drops. Tftc
Out with friend M who I introduced to geocaching today. She was pretty impressed. And the pressure was on me to find the hides we set ourselves - 2 in this area. This was the second find. A good hunt as not as easy as you think. Not found Since Feb. but all in tact and dry. I replaced plastic bag. Then we enjoyed the view. Thanks Alansee for the cache. 13 years running !
Found It!
A interesting little bit of Melbourne I've never visited before. Some nice views from up here!

With summer on the doorstep today I figured a plan to enjoy some caching and a stealth ride. Made good time getting to the bike early so was able to enjoy the ride. Nice area and a quick find. Thanks to Alansee for placing this cache.
I had an afternoon to myself so planned to do a couple of nearby caches to gather some months found that I have missing. While in the area I tried to add a few other hides nearby.
A nice little discovery on the way home with stunning views from gz after making the short walk up the hill. Thanks for the cache Alansee.

Out for breakfast at the boathouse with friends, then taking the dogs for a walk. We showed them how to find a geocache, and took in a nice view of the city as well. Took TB. TFTC.
Lol
Didn't want to stick my hand in but didn't want to let little geo buddy down.
Very nice spot.
Thank You

And this is what caching is about for me. Hidden awesome views. This piece of park is amazing and there are views everywhere you look. A favourite for me!
We arrived back in Melbourne a few hours before we had to board the Spirit of Tasmania for home. So we took the time to look for some caches on our list. We came to this area to look for a trig point but noticed that this cache was very close by. Reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Alansee for the cache.
I finally worked out what side of the Yarra this was on, so set off this morning. Fantastic view of the city from here.
Found it! Well at least I found this one! Gave up with nearby Jupiter and walked across the Bridge but didn’t attempt to look for Fire & Ice! What a great view! Didn’t really enjoy walking through he long grass but made it to GZ without meeting any legless friends! TFTC SL
Gotchya... sneakily.. sorry Mr. Orange Shirt if we scared you off when we followed you up...
Last cache for 3 months in AUS. Worth the hike to get that splendid view of Melbs - this gal from the bush wasn’t too concerned about the grass - too complacent? Anyway, GZ perfect and quick find. Was keen to leave some trackables in this location - was only fitting!! But first time I left them at home drat and had to come back by torchlight so two views of Melbs. TFTC
Found the hide but did not attempt due to possibility of snakes in grass on this hot day
I started this cache a fair distance out in daylight after reading the description and deciding it would be a simple find with a great view. Unfortunately by the time I arrived it had started to get dark and I suddenly became worried of the potential creatures lurking around GZ. I'm from the UK and didn't really have any knowledge of what was around. GZ gave me two possible locations and in typical fashion; I went to the first and gave up, I went to the second and gave up and then found it back at the first. I very swiftly signed the cache and got out of there... TFTC!
