Came to this one om a fun track, after a day of rain yday. It was sufficiently dried out so as not to cause any issues, or damage to the track.
Parked at 3rd gate, then walked the rest of the 260m. We tried to get around the 4 creek crossings, ,anaging 3 of them... taking our shoes off for the 4th...
All 3 of us scaled the last 15m, slipping and sliding as we came back down!
Geokids found the cache before I got there.
Great tp complete this adventure, and find an oldie still going strong!
On the way out, shoes off at the 1st crossing, then we walked the next 3 crossings too! lol
The fun on the track continued on the way back along the track..
Dropped a TB in too.
TNLNSL
Thanks

That was a fun drive in/out and it's only 2 gates now as the last gate (NP&W) says "authorised vehicles only", so it was a park & then pleasant short walk up the track.
Then there was the fun of the final location, Fab stayed at the bottom while Paul did climbing, bringing the familiar long lasting cache container down to examine and sign the logbook. Great views including some 'roos from up here.
Another Favourite awarded too ️

The cache was like a church. I bowed and signed the log. AS you do.
This cache was found as part of an EPIC TRIP! to cross the Simpson Desert in July 2020. We crossed the desert without incident thanks to the smooth expert driving of H423L. There were many rocks, water holes, railway sidings and big dunes. Of course there was this cache too. The nights were clear and the stars were bright.
Thanks to Bowz2 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

I think I may have found religion on this wet slippery day as we made our way to the cache. An enjoyable location. TFTC
Did not find this one , sent our scout up the rocks, but no luck. Great ride in plenty of water to cross. Thanks.
A beautiful walk in from the third gate. A scramble up and over and the cache was in hand. In excellent condition, plenty of room for swaps.
Found It!
An interesting drive into this one. So much so that it wasn't until I got to GZ that I realised I hadn't downloaded the cache to the phone - and that phones don't work here. Whoops. So drove halfway back out again, downloaded cache, then back to GZ and found the cache!

We spontaneously went in search of this one on the way home from Melrose and I'm so happy we did. You took us for lovely drive and scramble to a place we would never have gone. The cache is in excellent condition and my day was made with all the birds we saw afterwards. Thanks so much:)
Picked this up with ferret52 while over for the JLWE cahcheing event in wirrabara. TFTC!
Great cache. Best approach via creek crossing and scree, other approach is leading to a bit of erosion.
Thought we'd check out this cache before heading off to setup camp .
It was a really humid day and we walked along the base of the rock for awhile before reading the clue and heading up on a terrain 4 climb .
Looked around for a long time, even found some cachey looking hiding spots, but no cache [B)]. Climbed higher and higher, but still not success .
Eventually came back down and looked at the lower levels and found the cache quite quickly . TNLNSL.
An interesting spot and we only visited because of geocaching [^].
Thanks Bowz2. Our last for the day [|)].

Camping in Melrose and this looked worth doing, so off on my bike I set. How right I was, but the track between gates 1 and 2 was not easy with a worn rear tire and a beer at lunch. I suspect the track between 3 and 2 will present me similar problems on the way home
Lots of water in the creek. Very beautiful
Sat lock at GZ was pretty bad but there was a nice geotrail to follow and the cache was soon in hand. Now to get back down.

We did RR2 almost exactly 8 years ago (one day out), hard to believe it was so long ago. We thoroughly enjoyed that one, and today we thoroughly enjoyed this one. Gorgeous drive in - as good as anywhere in the Flinders. Would have liked to continue on the track but as usual time was passing too quickly and we had a long way to get home. Senior Geodad enjoyed pottering around in the creek while Mr and Mrs m ventured a little higher. Mrs m was the one who made the ultimate climb to retrieve the cache. In typical female style, the descent was made via backside contacting mud Oh to be young and agile again Thanks heaps Bowz2 for another great cache. We'd be happy to bypass 1000 urban micros for one like this. [^]
Another Bowz2 cache of the list, after coming in from the winery next door with our 4X4 club.
Locus Cache did all the hard work on finding this one. I just climbed up when she spooted it.
I've attached a picture of our tacks for the day.
Cheers from Barra

Friday evening and muggle partner and I made a mad dash to Bartagunyah to join a 4WD club for the weekend. No caches were attempted
Saturday, 1 cache was found and then Sunday as muggle partner and I leisurely headed home, 16 smilies were found
The group kindly stopped to allow myself and The Barramundi's to make this find.
Have I said that I am not agile[?] Getting up here was slow and getting down was sit down and slide!
My pale blue jeans were black on the backside after this but I was so glad to have been able to make the find of my only cache on Saturday

Found this one with The Scarlet Manuka, Neeko73 and his geo kids.
I was originally going to be racing my mountain bike in the 18hr endure this weekend here at Melrose, but I am was still getting over the flu and was told by my doctor not to race. So I came up for the weekend anyway just to watch. While up this way I decided we should go and grab this cache as it has been on my radar for quite some time and it has also been a long time since it has been found.
We drove out here to within 50m of the cache and looked up towards the rock face, quite an impressive sight really (all the other times I have come past here I have been on my bike with others and hadn't really bothered looking around much).
We parked nearby and started the scramble up the hill, I was a little ahead of the group and had in my head that it was going to be on top of a particular rock that involved a tough climb. But the gps was telling me it was 13m behind me, so I told Neeko73 to check out in that area while I went on up. Of course I should have trusted my gps and gone where it said as Neeko73 found it quite quickly and I was by that stage nearly up the top. So I had to scramble back down to the rest of the group. We then signed the log, re-hid the cache and wanders back to the car.
Next time I should trust my gps and the terrain rating a bit more as where I was heading would have been a 4 or 4.5 star rating. Thanks for bringing us here it is a pitty more people don't make the effort to find these type of caches as they are very rewarding. It was a lot easier to get to than Rocky Religion 2 but still worthy of it. TFTC.

Found it with Dad and Neeko73 and my friends. It was a great climb to get this one. A lot easier than the other RR cache we did together. TFTC.
Found on our Eyre Escape trip with Skllracing. We set up camp at Mambray Creek and decided to go for a drive and grab some caches in the area. We just can't seem to resist a dirt road and a cache. GeoD scrambled to the top first with Dad and the Queen from Skullracing close behind. The geoPrincess stayed at the bottom and geoP made it 3/4 of the way up when it was found but decided to go no further.
Took nothing and left nothing because geoD didn't have any swaps/Pathtags.

#2103 Found on our Eyre Escape tour with DazzPete. We were camping at Mount Remarkable for 3 nights and enjoying the area but opted for a drive instead of a long walk to help varied ailments heal. This was a bit of a scrabble but GeoD made it to GZ first in spite of a dodgy knee followed soon after by Dad & the Queen. Looked like someone else was walking in the area by fresh tracks in the grass & a Falcon s/w down the road but we didn't see hide nor hair of him/her. Our thanks to Bows2 for the cache, although we are not climbers we still enjoy a challenge when the body allows it
Took: nothing
Left: Skullracing Pathtag

After a full day of setting controls for the SA State Rogaining Champs I couldn't drive passed without picking this up. What a scramble!! Between the wild rose thorns in the watercourse and the rocky ascent to the cache it really deserves another 0.5-1 star terrain rating. Great spot though! I'll be back to pick up the others during the event. TFTC Bowz2.
Found at the end of a days caching and looking around.
Wife was uncomfortable with the road in and driving into the sun. She decided to wait this one out. I proceeded to GZ and after a short search found the cache.
Took lots of photos.

Found while camping on our trip at Melrose, the oldest town in the Flinders. Great spot and certainly is one of those that the average traveller would not visit unless caching.
Cheers

Had some fun 4x4 driving to this one. Three gates and 2 water crossings later we looked up at the wall of rocks. Thankfully the co-ords were spot on for us and we climbed straight to the correct location. Very satisfying cache and thankyou for organising it. TNLNSL. Cheers!
Bushwalking in the area so decided to check all is ok
No Problems
Area is looking nice with some green around at last [^]
Have succumbed to popular demand and upped the terrain rating to 3 stars...
Is it that difficult[?][?]

A beautiful drive made even more enjoyable at the prospect of getting a cache we didn't have a long walk to. I volunteered Bruce to get to the correct altitude which he did in record time and a short while after I heard those lovely words "I've found the cache". An impressive location which we would have never found without geocaching. thanks Bowz2
Wow, thanks we spent ages looking in the wrong area.
but Mr Autmuleaf was very happy when he eventually found
it. Beautiful drive in too. We agree you need to up the terrain though. Glad caching lead us to this area.

This turned out to be our last cache for the long weekend and it was a beauty to end on [^]. We were feeling pretty weary after clocking up more than a few miles on foot over the last couple of days, so didn’t really relish the walk in when confronted with the first closed gate. Reading the cache note revealed that we could drive in so we leapt at the chance. The two creeks we had to cross were no problem and the Commode got us there easily.
Great photo opportunities at GZ had me clicking away before turning our attention to the cache. We spent a fair while looking in all the hiding spots at the 2.5-star level, before I remembered that Bowz2 was a rock climber . 2.5 to him would be at least 3.5 to mere mortals , and as soon as I went to that level the cache was revealed immediately [^]. No swaps but did take the micro geocoin.
A great cache and another highlight of the weekend – that makes three with two of them being Bowz2 caches. Great stuff .

Another spot we would never have gone to if it hadn't been for geocaching. Nice to see the creek flowing. Great views on the way back down the track. Klem was at GZ when Mrs K was still 3/4 of the way up - saved her going any further! Took animal and left a 4wd car and a klem bear. TFTC Bowz2.
Saw this one on the map and what a great drive to get there. Left Micro TB for this Macro cache
Found the cache after a scramble up the rocks with my young c monster. Great location and well worth the effort.
Found along with 2 other new Geocachers.
I didn't want to break my finger nails so sent Minskip up .
Miniskip forgot to take the swaps so TNLN
Thanks Bowz2

A quick find that was visible from the roadside, even though it was 50m away! Found with our Canadian visitors. Very nice area I'd seen on a map but never worked out how to get here.

A much easier find after yesterday's adventure. We left the Sube and most of the family at Gate 2. Lots of recent rain suggested that the Soob might not cope well. Lots of mud on the shoes on the way down suggested we were correct.
Freddo and James the newt were the expedition team this time. Glad I read the hints. The co-ords were spot on though. Lovely stroll thanks.

After a report of "bolts" on the face I just had to go for a look!
I'd considered climbing here when I first found it, but considered it too damp, too far, too much moss, too much like hard work and consequently dismissed it too quickly and without looking closely at the possibilities.
(However officially... climbing in parks is not allowed without permission)
There are "lots" of bolts now (someone has spent quite a few $$), and a further close inspection show's a history of climbing from many years ago on the lower moss covered faces as well...
A short walk down stream along the creek revealed what looks like more cliffs worth a climber’s interest...
Hmmmm... If you come looking for this cache and these's some rotund bloke on the rock face struggling up it just might be Bowz2!!!
PS: the cache container was Ok but was quite exposed and easily seen (a bit of container creep)

The drive in to GZ was great and after much opening and closing of gates the target was in sight
Which is the right spire?
Found myself sitting near the top of the rock of Gibraltar with no sign of a cache [:o]
Worth the scramble up for the view
Interesing line of anchor points bolted across the rock face [:o]
I spotted the hiding place on the fall back down.
Thanks for a fun detour into places rarely visited [^]

Enjoyed the little detour on a way over bridle track. Took a little while to find as sats not cooperating, eventually found about 9m off. Took stanley knife and left a periscope. Thanks for a great cache
Excellent spot, not too hard to find, fine refreshing atmosphere with plenty of bird song, no water in the creeks though, which is rather scary for this time of year.
When we got to Gate3 I could see that there was more water over the road ahead than I wanted to drive through so we walked from there – no problem.
We found a path that avoided the prickly roses – no problem.
Climbed up to GZ – a few slips, but OK.
Looked here, there, everywhere.
Well, obviously not everywhere, because no luck.
Perhaps the raptor which was a bit unhappy about our presence has moved it.
Nice day for it though.

My last Bowz2 find for the weekend and a great one at that.
Another of those caches that take you to a place that you would probably never find without some local knowledge or a very specific interest!
Cache was quickly located after a pleasant drive in. Pity all that wild rose is growing along the creek [:xx(]prickly stuff isn't it?
Swapped the harmonica for a mini carabiner (seemed appropriate!) & a little brass bell.
Cheers Bowz2, much fun was ha dove rhte weekend thanks to your caches.

Having been near here yesterday during the 4WD Club NavRun/Observation Rally we decided it was worth a pass through gates 2 and 3 to find the cache. In the company of Tyreman (a very interested muggle who is still learning the intricasies of the GPS) and his cousin we started up the slope. I personally made it 7/8ths of the way to the cache and gave quite specific directions to Clinton who finally found it.
What a surprise to me that it was a virgin! Yay FTF!
