Found while on holidays travelling from Brisbane to Tasmania.
Even though this one is archived we must have added the co-ords to our holiday list before it was. We were in the area checking out the pub so we thought let’s have a look anyway. Low and behold it was still there, just covered with a few thousand ants.

Cache found safe and sound. The previously pictured lid was just an innocent bystander. Dropped a TB who wants to head north.
Great to see the pub open for business.

A nice quick find with the traditional stop at the Pub. Bob the Minion located this one for us. TFTC
loved this cache although I should not of gone after it had rained because it was very wet and d cold and the cache was all muddy
A last minute stroke of luck landing in my bank account left me making an even more last minute decision to head to Canberra for the 4 Months to the event in Alexandra - Canberra event
A bit of a drive, wisecracking police at the very first cache I stopped to find , not much sleep [)], a busy day Saturday with 2 events attended , great company while finding some challenge caches , a gorgeous night time view on Saturday and then a frosty morning view from the top of Mount Ainslie on Sunday morning (complete with flat battery in the Corolla and replacing it with a new one with frozen fingers juggling icy cold spanners ), a climb up a hill to get the first cache placed in Canberra [^] , a chat with a friend from primary and high school who lives in Canberra , another event attended , a stunning sunset while finding a virtual cache near a lake and then the long drive home all added up to an amazing and fun weekend [^]
3 DNFs, 3 events attended and 57 cache finds for the 2 days and 1,000km travelled [^]
Having missed stopping to see this pub while attending my first Mega event in April 2012, I could not drive past without seeing it tonight! [^]
Very pretty at night
The cache was very quickly found and now I have a smile on my face here and on my map too

Had to do the tourist thing and stop off here on our trip home from Victoria, it is a shame they had to move the road so not as many people stop in here anymore. TFTC
A quick find. We were a little concerned when we saw what was obviously a lid from a previous cache. But the new one was soon found.
The location: how devastating to see this ice Nic land mark nothing to its glory days, closed down, looking sad. A small gift shop holding this place together.

Nice quiet afternoon at the pub made this search fairly easy and a beer in the bar afterwards set it off beautifully. Thanks Coruze.
This certainly brings back memories from childhood.....cache safely tucked away. Left trackable.
What a cool pub! Found the cache and took some photos but didn't visit today as I already had food packed and I was on a geocaching mission! Thanks Coruze, good to see this cache is over 10 years strong. Great location for it
Great pub mate! Enjoyed having a gander at the humour. The Irish dog lead......fair dinkum, that would keep ya dog in line! By the way, who doesn't take a photo here ??? We did. TFTC Coruze.
We're on our way to the Mega at Alice Springs .
The Olde pub looks great.
Thanks for placing this cache CORUZE.

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to Coruze** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.
I enjoyed finding this one at 10:04:28 AM on a road trip to Victoria for the weekend.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot*

#2774 A quick stop by this iconic Aussie tourist trap on Australia Day. Surprisingly it wasn't very busy, mind you, it was mid-30's C today. A quick find.

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. Quick find of the cache then did the usual and took a couple of pictures of the pub. TFTC
#187. Easy find but no pencil, and I didn't have one on me. Found on the way home from our holidays. TFTC
Doing some touristy stuff while visiting in-laws in Albury and this cache was nice and handy on the way. A bit too easy find, added some camo after putting the cache back in its hiding place. Thank you for the cache and greetings from Finland! First cache of the year!
Have been here many times a long time ago when our kids were still kids. Heading south to visit family - a short detour to pick up the cache. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

With the Surfcoast Victorian MEGA event down at Anglesea this coming weekend, Rambolina and I teamed up for the drive, some kayaking, and caching along the way.
Feeling quite hungry, the car GPS showed food at the next left turn on our way South, it was a very pleasant surprise to see an Ettamogah Pub here
It was our first meal at such an iconic structure, and the food was great
[green] - Found It on Thursday ... at 1:10 PM...

Great to see the pub open. Last time we stopped by it wasn't. A quick find. TFTC
After ordering dinner at the pub I went across the road to find this cache. I also picked up the TB that was here. Great meals at the pub. TFTC
A quick deviation off the highway and a chance to stretch the legs on our way south. Thanks for brining us here.
Bit of a rainy day, but a good find. Unfortunately had no bits and pieces to swap, maybe next time. TFTC.
#2049 The afternoon was getting quite warm, so a beer or two would have been welcomed at the famous No. 1 pub in Oz, but we resisted. An ice cream would have been ok too, but we couldn't find any here to our disappointment. We did find a cache however! thanks Coruze
A large number of motorhomes were camped here and in the process of moving on when I arrived. As the caxhe was a litle away from them I had no trouble finding it undetected tftc Coruze
Heading to Junee for the two events this weekend we needed to stop for lunch. So glad that this cache brought us here. It is wonderful to see this still a thriving tourist destination.
Having found the cache, we went to the nearby Ettamogah Coffee Shop for the best Potato Wedges we have ever had, and bought a T-shirt to help keep this lovely bit of Australian history on the map.
Thanks for placing the cache here.

Had no idea there are three Ettamogah Pubs in Australia! This is the original, and under new management, offers overnight camping Inc hot showers for the purchase of a $10 stubby holder.
A yummy dinner and a drink with the locals, a cache and a great time all 'round!

1st of 3 finds with theredfox & geodaughter. Easy find. Daughter picked swaps. Signed & replaced. Loved seeing the pub, been years considering I was born in albs..
My second visit to this iconic spot, first crack at the cache. Quick easy find. Tftc
#4803 - 12:35; I was headed down the Hume to Melbourne with the geoteen and took the opportunity to detour in top show her the Ettamogah Pub and collect this cache. I had to explain the origins of the pub in the Ken Maynard cartoons as she'd never heard of it before. Parked the geomobile in the carpark and wandered across the road for a nice quick find and sign. TFTC Coruze
Popped out earlier in the week and found the remains of the cache, was out this way again today and have put a replacement down where they were hoping that is ok with the CO. Nice to see the pub has had a lick of paint since my last visit to the area.
Log signed as the 4B's to include Landyman123, Pinkducks, Legoman9494 and myself.
Thanks for the cache!!!!

#1752 On my way from Canberra to Albury for a few days caching. I saw the remains of this cache scattered on the ground so was not able to sign the log. Please maintain this cache as the location here is great. TFBMH Coruze.
This week a mate and I made our way up to Canberra for a little mid-year roadtrip to visit one of our friends up at ANU. During this roadtrip I managed to find a fair few caches in some of the towns we stopped in as well as in Canberra itself.
Today was the journey up to the nation's capital. Of course, we couldn't have done the long drive without a few (cache) stops along the way. A lot of fun was had discovering some of the more unique attractions on this drive. This was the 5th find of 8 for today.
Like others, I found this cache destroyed on the ground. Sad to see, although I was happy to be brought back to this interesting spot. I'm still not too sure what the appeal of it is... other than the fact that it appeals to others! All in good fun!
Thanks Coruze!

The pub and its out-buildings are barely alive at this time of the year: It is cold inside and the coffee is lousy. Sadly, this is more than what can be said about this poor, deceased, container. We are logging it as "found", together with Jolauso11, because we did find its remnants, which cannot be salvaged.
Well, at least the toadstools are thriving here.

I found this cartoon pub and the broken cache with my relatives.
Die Kneipe sieht aus wie aus einem Comic-Heft. Leider ist die Dose kaputt.

Sadly it has been destroyed.
I will log maintenance and have up loaded picture of what I have found.

Have been meaning to call into the pub many time during our trips between Albury and the format Wymah. Had a great a great opportunity this morning, nobody about. Had a good poke around to no avail. Fresh dirt and uprooted stump . Looks like drainage works. CO might like to check.
This one might need some checking. Looks like some works happening along the side of the road. Freshish dirt piled up around the base of trees along the side of the road, with one stump uprooted at some stage, and different coloured lines painted on grass less than a metre from fence line. There were quite a few muggles stopping in today, so we didn't poke around too much.
Thank you for bringing us out here, its been a long time since we've been here. TFTC
We had no trouble finding the cache but has a lid of the container has a few cracks in it and the logbook is nearly full as it is being signed on the back cover now. Needs a lighter covering hiding the cache but could not find one today. We enjoyed our visit to the Aussie's No. 1 Pub, too. Very interesting place.
TFTC Coruze and for bringing us here.

Phone wasn't playing too well so we punched the numbers into Gill&Tony's GPS and soon made the find. Only later did G&T realise they had found it previously! The place seems to be open at the moment so might go there for lunch tomorrow. Logbook was dry but full, had to sign the back cover. This was the last for today - time to retreat to the aircon. TFTC!
Day four of our month long escape from Tassie. Missed the turn off to this one last time we were in the area so made sure we got it this time. TFTC
I had a look at the famous pub before wandering over for an easy find. The logbook was a bit wet, but use able. I've been here a few times, bit have never been in for a drink. It was very quiet here today. I assume it gets busier on weekends.
Found while on an impromptu roadtrip with CT_ZA, taking the scenic route from Melbourne to Canberra and then back home.
Now heading back home for New Year's Eve, we stopped at this pub which we had not visited before.
The place has been magnificently restored, and is certainly in fine condition. We wandered around the grounds admiring the amusing bits and pieces, and then made our way to GZ.
Thanks for the cache and for highlighting this iconic location, Coruze.

We are on holidays from Mount Gambier, SA. We are staying in Albury, NSW, before heading off we looked around close by & seen this Great Aussie Pub so it was a must thing to go do while on our trip away. Pulled up, the whole experience was amazing, fun times, hilarious photos & an amazing lunch. A quick dash for the cache, quick & easy find. TFTC
I found this cache as a joint part of “Team” *Throsbyonchurch* and in which name the log book was signed. I now have my own account as I’m old enough to cache myself, so I am claiming a fair share of my earlier finds. As I had no caching name at the time there's no log in the book for me but I’m claiming the find under team ToC. Thank you for the hide.
I found this cache jointly with TOC and now I have my own account I am claiming my finds. My caching name is not in the log book though as I didn't have one. I can cache on my own now. Thank you for the hide.
Love this pub. Been here before and rode a camel back in about 1999. Pity is in its current state. Been to the one in Queensland also. Thanks for cache. Signed log.
Found while on a detour of my long drive south.
Another fast find
Thanks for hiding

The weekend in Albury/Wodonga with one part of the FurfacesLL tribe was coming to an end. We had packed up the geomobile and said goodbye to our caching friends who allowed us to crash at their place. On the road and in search of brekkie lol.
I have heard and seen so much about this pub, and ive driven past the turn off a number of times. This time, I said to FFLL that I wanted to make a slight detour and FINALLY go pay a visit. So we did and glad we did too!! Its back open!!!! FFLL advised it got closed down and we asked the lady and she told us they re-opened at Easter this year. Awesome! I absolutely loved the aussie slang quotes all over the place, had a good giggle at a number of them lol. Took some photos and brought some Soy Wax Melts from the lady down the back. Very glad I can finally say "Yep Ive been there "
Thanks for the cache placement Coruze

My second day on a caching road trip for the Mega Event next weekend. I was up bright and early to start caching again.
I have finally seen the Ettamogha Pub at Ettamogha! So far I've only seen one at Rouse Hill, Sydney.
Thanks for the cache.

Found this yesterday when driving through to Canberra....wanted to stop and have a look here before ,so now there was no excuse!! Good to see it was open and many people around. Many thanks for the cache Coruze.
Stopped for a coffee and had a look around. Lovely place to make a pit stop. The cache is easy enough to find. Hard to time it without being seen by muggles.
Out with Joelisa for one more day to hit some more caches. Left at 7.30am and headed into Albury. Very successful morning and lots of fun too. It wasn't too hot as well which made the trip even better. I was very confused when I heard about this pub as there is another pub just like it in the north of Sydney which I have eaten at before. Brought back good memories seeing this one!! Tftc
