No luck finding this. Mind you it was in the middle of a work day. Quickly moved on.
We think this one has had its day, time to archive.
While the original Nano placement on a telephone and info stand could be called “clever” (and noting this was one of the first Nano caches in New Zealand), the upgrade of the surroundings to plastic and aluminium materials has reduced this to “another Nano under a seat”.
So we are opening the area up for others, and look forward to someone else finding an interesting way to present a cache in this busy hub of Hamilton CBD – but please do keep it ”clever”.

So many muggles in this area on a Sunday morning in the rain..a bit surprised. We will need to pick a better time on our next trip. Put us down for a DNF on this one.

Yes – the refurbishing of the site has removed the object that the Nano was clipped to, and the nearby replacements are all plastic and aluminium. Relocated to a nearby ferrous metal object, although it may be more vulnerable to muggles – we will see.

Thanks for the note Sandfly tucker - we checked out the site, and indeed the upgrade of Garden Place has consumed the nanno!
We will disable this until the works are completed, and assess the area for a suitable location for a replacement container.

I am wondering if the roofed structure has fallen victim to the current renovations?

Took me longer to find than it should have. Maybe due to a bit of cache wander!

Nice to knock this one off after it was AWOL last time we were in town. Lots of muggles around but the rain keep them clear of GZ. I pretended to be doing something else
Just scrolling through logging some that i hadnt a while ago and this one popped up. stink to see it has been archived this was a good one ,Great little cache, tricky to find, must have looked at it twice before we realised that was it. No pen on hand so will have to go back

Guwapo is at home so Papa is flying solo on a business trip to Hamilton. Checked in to hotel and then did a walk around the CBD for a couple of caches. Late at night so no issues with muggles. Thanks for the cache.
A very nice nano cache - tiny; one of the smallest I've seen. Found in the company of Nezzy_nz. Difficult to find, but easy to see once you're looking in the right place. Muggles Central ! TFTC
Not a particular fan of the nano, it seems to being used a bit too much these days, but some places it is warranted. This is one.
I was looking around when Feathertop just walked up and grabbed it (don't you hate that!)
Thanks, Robmc.

I had just made a call home from across the road so I wasn't far away.
Night time is good for finding these inner city ones.

(13:46) Had trouble finding this one but with a closer inspection when muggles left we had the cache in our hands. TFTC!

Just a great cache in the middle of the city. Was easy to pretend doing something else while grabbing the cache. Thanks a lot!
A quick find and exit stage left real quick due the dubious muggles hanging around this central city park.. TFTC....thought about making a quick collect call to Pres Obama on the nearby communication device to let him know I had found this cache but probably would have been mugged doing that so played safe and high tailed it out of there....
This is truley small. Can you get any smaller? TFTC. Did not have a pen so didn't unroll the scroll.
Itty Bitty tiny, in a smart hide. But not that hard to find.
However,,,,,Me and my fat fingers didn't manage to get the log out of the container.
So I took a picture to be able to prove it, which I ca produce upon demand !

yahoo! first find after registering! In Hamilton for a caching expidition with Mogan Ed. On way to flashmob gathering, so place was crawling with cachers. Nice to meet you, Ten cent coin.
Had an appointment at the adjacent dentist today.... ]
Good time management, meant I was early, so checked out this cache, and couldn't find it either....

GPS was all over the place on this one. Checked in all likely spots and no luck. Hate logging DNF's - Especially first thing in the morning on a Tron cache run from the Big Smoke!
at 22:41. TFTC Butterfly_lady & RadioNut50 but we reckon our nano in Brisbane is smaller than your nano .
Found it, but had no luck extracting the log from the container, returned it unsigned
This was more challenging this evening, once found the retrieval was tricky, but dropping something can be helpful.
Or just make like you belong there, and no one will notice.
Must go for a game of petanque, or boulle now the council have spent some more of my rates money!!

Wierd! wap.geocaching.com said that my log didn't work. Anyway - found it. Have to look at the tracklog, but I suspect around 3minutes to find and log and replace! Thanks.
Tree has been packed up and carted away to wherever they keep it, Place seemed extra quiet somehow.
Thanks for the note re log space - when we checked Christmas Day, there was room for 19 visitors..... guess there are still a few to log online. Will replace log in a few days - some on order. Mailman should drop them in soon.
This is a fun cache, thanks! Was easy enough not to be spotted - not many people around on New Year's Eve during late afternoon...
Almost midnight by the time we reached the big Christmas tree, and headed for GZ. Barely got there and hadn't even started searching when the tree guard came over and asked "Are you playing that game too?" When we laughed and said yes we were, he reached out, fumbled for the cache and handed it to us! Easiest find of the night. Impressive, Butterfly Lady, to hire a guard to look after your NanoNanoNano! Thanks for the cache and the fun.

How much does it cost the rate payers to have a full time guard for the xmas tree in town? Well, he wasn't on duty for a while as he helped (but failed) search for the cache. Was starting to look dire when Mrs B came up trumps. Sometimes her height has its advantages TFTC
Found it without co-ords, its pretty much outside the building i work in so i had a fair idea where it was...
Cute little cache!

On a road trip with the girls and Indiana Jill & Kayaknkiwi had me and BookwormMum jump out of the car to retrieve a cache they already had. BWM and I had no notes and guessed by the name that it wasn't an ammo can. I cleverly created a diversion by pretending to talk with someone on the phone while BWM signed the log for us. TFTC!
On a trip with Indiana Jill, Seattle’s Best and Kayaknkiwi – on our way to New Plymouth to see the festival of lights and do some caching! Another one that SB and I didn't have yet, so were unceremoniously dumped to do the business, which meant we didn't look at the hint and spent an inordinate amount of time in NEARLY the right place. Luckily only light muggle attendance, and SB had a rather long call to make at one point, while signing! TFTC!
Christmas Day = few muggles? Yeah right.
Next to giantic Christmas tree = lots of muggles.
Could not spy cache. Close inspection showed cache creep onto plastic area, but just staying in place.
Checked log - 2nd side just started. 19 spaces left.
Happy Christmas everyone!

Went nice and early and it wasn't hard to find - had junior's buggy to faff around with to give me the cover I needed. Sat on a nearby bench and filled in the log, then slipped the cache back into its hiding place as I went on my way.
Someone else was having a wee bit of a nosey around too as I filled in the log - don't know whether he was sympathetic to the cause, but he seemed a little troubled by me sitting there watching over GZ and eventually wandered off. Wonder whether he came back once I'd gone?!
Impressively tiny cache. Thanks

Tried to retrieve cache for a check on Saturday morning - could not spy it, and there was someone on the bench seat nearby staring at the GZ.... thought we would have to return.
Thanks to K&S we don't need to.... appears cache is there!

Out & about in Hamilton and an early start to find the central city ones while it was quiet T4TC
Passing through with a back pack so it was easy to look lost and play around with my pack. Nano and Black did the trick TFTC
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble
Another clever little cache, good distraction for the muggles.

Found this one after connecting to the free WiFi hotspot in the Hamilton City library.
True to your word it is smaler than a small thing on it's smallest day.

Hmmm, nice little hide. No muggles hanging round. Forgot to bring a pen ... but the library has them!
Came here early evening and searched for about 15 minutes in likely places but no luck. GPS position was wandering over about 20 metres and made searching rather difficult. Came back later around 10:15pm (not a soul around) after a meal in town and having read the cache description a bit better, and found it within about 3 minutes. The cache container was exactly as I expected, I have found quite a number of similar ones before. Signed log, TFTC!
Woo! I was very surprised when I found this one. I looked around, and could find only one place that fitted the hint. First person to write on this particular log.
I found this cache easily but the log was full so I couldn't sign it. Am enjoying Hamilton, though.
The whizzkid of Team Welsh is so good at these ones, fairly busy in town but managed to find without being spotted. TFTC
All credit to WELSH jnr of team WELSH. What a better thing to do then to go geocaching with your sister? T4TC
A quick find for SongMonk and me after lunch, on our way from Auckland to Rotorua. The University of Waikato was holding a graduation ceremony nearby. Thanks for the cache!
Stopped in Hamilton for lunch on the way from Auckland to Rotorua. This cache was not on our planned list of caches, but picked up wifi at our lunch spot, and so found the nearby cache. Had to go for it! This style of cache we were familiar with from back home, so it was not a problem at all. TFTC!
Out for dinner in Victoria Street, complete with GC Bag.
Didnt take long to locate this little fella. A very brave little cache and camo'd so well to his spot. Signed log on dental steps..only dry place to do so TFTC
