Found this one this evening on my way home from a meeting, before grabbing some dinner to last me the ride home. Was looking across the street at first, some local punters staring at some git on his bike staring up at the sky... Thanks, I visit that intersection every week, it's amazing what subcultures might be lying right under your nose and you don't even know about it!
Well,
This is the third time the cache has been muggled. I think that it is probably time to say good by to Fork unless there is a benefactor who wants to take it on.

Had been at this location a few months back but a muggle derro was sitting nearby and we could se the cache in the tree. This time no, muggle and no cache, even checked with daughter on shoulders.
Out on a caching afternoon with Geo Dad (visiting from the old country) and new Geo father in law. We go a "pink chit" this afternoon as the girls who had gone to see the live version of Mamma Mia.
Oh dear. We need more equipment for this - like a small child. I may borrow my small 3rd cousin for a day.
We went to the pub instead. Nice.

Quick find today, helped by the lack of people in the area.
Left Nothing but removed and disposed of the cigarette

Walked around from the Trainspotting cache. Nice camo on this one. Interesting spot, spent some time checking out the nearby monuments. TFTC, Biggles.
First of two caches found in Melbourne. This one was a short walk from our hotel. When we arrived, we found this one quickly. Found by Tom.
Thank for the cache and the information for this place. BTW, the cache is well camouflaged - nice box!
Find # 616 @ 08:10 and second of the day with tackle_head on our way to the WWFM VI Loosen the purse strings event in the city.
I'm glad we decided to do this on a Sunday as we would have stood out any other day. Spotted the tb.
Thanks for the cache orroral.

Found with 3up while on a day of caching in the city and attending WWFM loosen the purse strings , clever by name and clever by nature . thanks orroral
A slightly longer stroll than expected with two first-time cachers. Thanks to eagle eyes, the cache was quickly spotted and logged without anyone suspecting

Found today after coming down to watch the Central Coast Mariners thrash Melbourne Victory, ( now renamed Melbourne Loosers, hahaha).
Anyway, found quite quickly, no muggles around on a sunday morning.
Took Garmin Geo-Coin of Stone Henge, as we were recently there - will place some where else soon.

No trouble to spot and then reach for those not vertically deprived. Thanks Orroral
Found at 17:30 in the middle of peak hour - the muggles were too busy getting upset at the traffic to notice a high reach. I could see the cache so there was no searching - just went right up and grabbed it, and the return trip was similar. Nice camo.
Can I say that I like these toilets? - the underground ones I mean. They seem to be so much a part of the old Melbourne character and its a pity they were closed after becoming an undesirable place. For the cave hunters out there wouldn't it be exciting to now see what's behing the concrete? It's kind of like a giant cache in itself, or a time capsule.
I'll log a Pathtag (I like te design!) TNLNSL. TFTC.

Whoo hoo my first interstate cache. This was just around the corner from where I was staying at my son's house. I had just got my new iPhone working with the geocaching app and this was the trial cache. Took my 6'4" son with me and this was his first introduction to geocaching. He was amazed to say the least that this cache was here in such a busy location.
Signed the log, took the pathtag that was in the cache and left 2 of my own pathtags.
Thank you for the cache.

I was there alone. Even when the traffic lights were red, very few cars lined up. Had to do the Superman trick to move the cache both ways but all in all a great hide. TFTC
After a lap of the feature, I thought I'd have to do some climbing. Looking a little bit harder, I noticed something and did a big stretch and had the cache in hand. Nice bit of cammo there, thanks.
Found in the company of Monch's mob after the City Circle event today. We had tried for this one together back in early May when the cache had been muggled, so it was good that it had been replaced and we were able to complete our mission. We had parked the cars outside a great-looking cafe, so were able to have coffee and fattening cakes after finding your cache. Thanks for that! We enjoyed it.
Found this one on the 2nd or 3rd attempt - it had disappeared on our earlier attempts, but it was here today.

What a lark! Hope my re-place is not responsible for it getting muggled. Rock climbing skills handy in absence of height.
I get the difficulty rating on this one! We had the muggle-challenge and the height-challenge to contend with! As with previous logs, we could see it.... some very quick tree scaling by Genrow1966 gave us the cache. TFTC
#700. Came here once before and thought it's unreachable. Had another look tonight, and it's not too difficult after all. Good milestone. TNLNSL. TFTC.
I could see it, but due to road construction and high number of people around, thought better than to actually grab it..
update: went early in the morning, road construction was just starting.. Was able to grab and sign, awesome job on the container!

I appear to have lost this cache... Again. I will deploy a new container and log book ASAP. I will also edit the listing to include some words discouraging trackables as I would hate to have them muggled.
I have also discovered the toilets are heritage listed and will include some more info on them as underground dunnies are a bit of a Melbourne thing.

Whot they said! Even with a geoyoungster piggy-backed by Coffee an Cache, no luck! Alone I would have been useless, but with the others I thought I had a chance. Not to be..oh well maybe another time I can con someone else to reach for the skies for me???
We walked here with Kinkell1 and McAdies from the nearby "Kendo kapers". Unfortunately, we came up blank. I boosted up Geoson to try and achieve a greater altitude, but still no luck.
Thanks Orroral.
Thanks Orroral.
We tried very hard to find this, height was an issue even though some of us were very tall. One of us even got an upward boost from a pained booster, but no cache could be felt. Found a log which we attempted to sign, but it was only a log, not a logbook. We did our best but fear that the cache has gone.
Tried to find this one with the squalids, but it seems to be well and truly gone. Not even the deployment of some clever tools (i.e. a stick) could help us get this one.
However, the local cafes are particularly nice, so it's worth another visit if/when it gets fixed - right around meal time

We had no luck with this one. We were with Kinkell1 and Coffee and cache and though we searched the fork as best we could, the cache eluded us. Will have to try again sometime.
The reluctant spouse temporarily abandoned his driving duties to provide some height for this retrieving this cache.

THANKS FOR THE CACHE we walked up to this one from southern cross station quite a hike but well worth it. thanks from 2&ahalf men.
Replaced the Cache Container and tried to determine the whereabouts of the Geocoin. Noticed that Big Matt and Shell picked it up so all is well. New Camo is a bit light.... Bother.

Found today. I have looked for at least 5 caches today and this is the only one I have found which seems to be the case close to large cities.

WOW. Easy find, but you have to be a tall SOB to retrieve this one. Quaint little "mini" park in the middle of an intersection. If there had been a seat , I think I would have stayed longer just to take it all in. Thanks, TN L calling card.
Cache is a little exposed as the camo has worn off, but still a good find.

Found with Piglet55 on our last caching run in Australia before returning home to Canada. The camo is wearing off the cache container and it is quite visible from the ground. SL. TFTC.
Thank goodness that Winnie-the-Pooh has monkey arms (self-proclaimed) or we might not have been able to retrieve this one! TNLN-SL-T4T$
Good to cross this one off my list this afternoon, as I was driving by on my way to a new hide nearby. I was amazed to see that it hasn't been muggled, as it's plainly visible from the footpath as you walk by. As previous finders have noted, the camo needs some work to ensure that it lasts here. I always enjoy a bold city hide, though... thanks for making me stop here, where I would normally drive right past, Orroral!
Found it easily, thanks to its high visibility. It could be hidden better, but then it wouldn't be retrievable. Thankfully a van parked in front of it, which provided a bit of cover from passing traffic.
Found w The Empire. Really enjoying the more challenging cache's with many muggles around. Different type of difficulty ... a lot of fun!

found this one very easily, but as the description notes, the difficulty is all in the retrieval, best attempted outside of standard 'dining' times or peak hour traffic times,
i am making a note that this one needs maintenance, the camouflage (which is very good quality i must add) is pretty much completely chipped off the lid of the container making it extremely easy to spot (even from afar unfortunately), the base still has about 90% left on it,
it might be an idea to run some course sandpaper over the container before repainting, just to give the paint something to grab onto
very good hiding spot though ! a good stretch is much needed !

If you don't read description carefully, you end up reading the hint and feeling stupid Once back on track this was an easy cache in the afternoon. Quick moves, logging in distance and even quicker return.
Did this one early Sunday morning to avoid the muggle factor. No swaps small enough for the cache but picked up pigs might fly travel bug. Thanks.
After a particularly frustrating time looking for another cache with a New Zealand cacher I met this afternoon, I went for a bit of a walk to quite a pleasant place to find this one. Very satisfying and a really enjoyable walk. I dropped off a small travel bug. Thank you for this great ending to an otherwise irksome afternoon (due to construction getting in the way of access to other caches...).

Found at 0950. Arrived at GZ with plenty of muggles passing by, although most of them were in cars. Spotted the cache from a couple of meters away as it was slightly uncovered, and had to wait for the light to change before making a quick grab.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Drove up from Geelong with Bushfire and VKC1SR for the WWFM IV - Throw the book at it! event and a decided to do some caching after. Found quickly as it was pretty exposed. Made sure it was snugly hidden away when we left.
VKC1SR, Speedy Stamps and Bushfire decided to head for Melbourne for the WWFM 1V –Throw the book at it! event .An easy find as the cache was in view on our arrival but was concealed well before we left. TFTC.
Sighted cache, (easily visible), while on visit from interstate, but did not retrieve due to peak our muggles.

Found out on the 8th we were off to Melbourne on the 13th for a meeting in the morning and training in the afternoon,
not much time left for caching but couldn't let an opportunity slip by so while the rest of the group were having lunch I slipped out and found the cache that was less than 70m from the building we were in,
an interesting spot so much to see especially is you haven't been to Melbourne for over 20 years,

This cache proved difficult, not so much the find as this was straightforward, but the replacement was a problem as a muggle across the street was on the phone and watching my every move. After 10 mins I timed my replacment to a passing truck and all was well. 9.30pm.

I signed the log put my coat in my pack and while reaching up to put my pack on the cache was returned. I did notice that the camo is coming off the container so you might want to check it out at some stage.

Nice easy find. Thanks or that I needed it. Found during my lunch time break. I was starting to think that I am going blind as I have not managed to find the last 5 caches I have looked for. Integrated on what a couple of the land marks are there for. Beautiful day to do a bit of shopping near by.
