We headed out for the day, sun was going to be shining. Had nothing else planned so a day out caching was in order. Lunch in Port Mac & a swim too. We had a great day out today. We sure do miss geocaching & so glad the weather is getting better for us. Decided to get these puzzles done. We had worked them out awhile ago just needed to go sign off. Got to the location but was still about 12 metres away, by the reading of logs, we needed to go in more. Will try again soon
After GeoHubby finished the Sudoko in record time we were off to find the cache. Quick find, lovely location.

TFTC. TNLNSL. After hunting high we hunted low. Found what we came to find. Left it well hidden again and now have only one cache type to go to finish the August challenge.
Found on our leisurely drive as we make our way towards Murray Bridge from Melbourne for the Mega. Had figured this one out @ home last week & since it was on our way we had to stop, glad we did! Today we head to Mount Gambier and beyond.... TFTC
Have always driven past here and never stopped. Thanks for making us, Beaker. Pretty spot and a fun puzzle. Took flamingo, left smiley badge. We also gathered the clues, before returning to the truck, via a slightly different exit. After reading previous log, I decided to extract the cache, using my trusty walking pole. Attempted this after visiting the nearby Princess Margaret Rose Cave. I starting looking at the GZ only to have a tiger snake slither out of a gap and plonk himself right where I was sure the cache was!!!!! Waited a while but when he did disappear it was into one of the gaps near the cache. As frustrating as it was the risk just wasn't worth it so I retreated!!
I must have solved this cache many years ago, as I can't remember doing it. Today it showed up on the GPSr screen, so we just had to stop and log a find.
Getting to the cache was fun, and I managed to stay upright all the way down. Thankfully the cache was found before too long, and I was back in the car in no time. It is only logging this back home that I've realised we needed to grab a clue to finish the series. Oh well.
Thanks Beaker.

Found while out caching with mogni and brisal5. We all love a Sudoku Puzzle. TFTC Beaker.
In the Mount for the Goths dinner event and the Geozing Race and of course...caching Out for the afternoon with Aussie M&M and Mogni.
Been doing some BLE caches but it was time to go and get ready for the Goths event. This came up on the way so stopped and grabbed just on darkness. Swapped PTs. Thanks Beaker

Having solved this one back home, we grabbed it today as we were in the region. Ok, this'll be easy we thought as we parked. Huzzah! Its still 12m away! The Moose headed off, ever the intrepid explorer and I waited in safer climes, noting down the clues as they were yelled out. Thanks for bringing us here and showing us the natural formation. Took pathtag and left one of our own.
Found while enjoying a few days down Portland way before everyone heads back to work and school. Today we opted to drive towards Nelson and collected a few caches along the way. Had solved some of these on a previous trip and had intended to collect them all today - alas this was not to occur but we really enjoyed the location of this one.

Monday at BLE and after packing up, Dennisc52 and I left the campsite and parked his car. Well, mine was already dusty and dirty and his was still clean
Dennisc52 and I managed to achieve locus cache 25 times before we parted company and took separate routes back to Adelaide.
However I hung around Nelson for a bit longer and so, by the time that I stopped at Millicent for the night, I had gathered up another 19 locus cache smileys (with 1 DNF ), making this a 45 cache day [^]
A nice spot in here and interesting formations
However I was just a tad disconcerted about hunting for the cache where I thought it might be because as I approached there was a distinct slithering sound through the grass
Would a mere snake put me off of a cache find when I was this close[?]
Since I am claiming a smiley... I guess it didn't!

Found this neat cache with Skullracing on the BLE weekend, we had a blast working out the puzzles on this series.
Many thanks for all the caches that you have hidden, well done Beaker.

#3549 We were endeavouring to collect some of the Sudoku's that we managed to solve before heading over to Nelson for the BLE. We thought when we pulled up near GZ that the cache would be in a certain area - however we were still quite a few metres away which wasn't going to turn up a cache where we were standing . So the journey through long grass for Dad & LoMo commenced in earnest and LoMo located the nicely tucked away stash. We collected the clue and continued on in the hope of making a teeny dent in this Sudoku series. Thanks for the puzzle -Beaker-, the cache is surviving well. Cheers [^]

Hoping to collect some more smilies; on a Sunday run from the Big Little Event with Pprass, Rural Slicker and Squalid. Solving the puzzle was easier than finding the best approach to GZ, which was in itself a geological puzzle.

Only attempted one sudoku puzzle this weekend so I thought I better try and find it as we were passing by. Managed to follow the worn trail through the long grass and quickly came up with the goods. The most rewarding sudoku I've done in a while. Thanks Beaker for the cache.
Got the coords Ok, but it wasn't quite where we thought it was. We took the long way down, and then someone left his GPS behind and had to go back again to get it. Interesting terrain here, TFTC.

We're in Nelson for the Big Little Event over the weekend. A half day-trip to Mount Gambier today gave us the chance to find the cache for a few of the local puzzles.
We stopped by GZ yesterday but decided our approach direction was not ideal given the warm weather and the distance to travel through quite long grass. Today we stopped on the other side and were able to walk less than 20m to GZ wherea quick find was made.
Thank you yet again -Beaker-.

First cache to kick start today, we solved these sieries some time ago knowing we were coming here for the BLEvent. Bit cautious of the wriggle sticks as the grass is quite high, eventually located the price, TFTC
I have been waiting for quite a while to be passing this way and get the cache. Thanks to Parallel Sticks for the hint about the way down. TFTC
Still on my way to the Big Little Event in Nelson. Just doing a spot of caching along the highway...
Solved these puzzles when they were released, and never got to find any when down here 5 1/2 years ago!
Today was different! First of all the series to be found this weekend. Went onto find all four and the bonus on the way home on Monday. I love finding the older cache, they tend to be in locations that last.
Once I got to the right side of the abyss, I just followed the geotrail right to the cache. Looks like a herd of elephants been through here! lol

Thanks

Found on our trip to the Little Big Event with Firesafe always like an easy Sudoku
Yesterday I had parked at the side of the road and peered down into the Sudoko underworld [:o]
There seemed no easy way to descend into the abyss.
This cache would not get away !!
Bright and early this morning I was on the pushbike headed west toward the borderlands.
I could travel a bit slower along the roadside and get a much better view of where I was hoping to head
With the bike out of sight of the passing traffic, I walked down the trail I had found and arrived at GZ
A short search of a few rocks found me the cache
There was time for some exploration after that .....

I solved the sudoku in case we came by this way and fully expected it to be cache and dash. However I was not prepared for the GPSR to be pointing into space so thanks to the log by littlemerpip for encouraging us to continue down the bank. Lovely location with the limestone cliffs. TFTC.
We really enjoy these areas & have been meaning to stop here ever since we noticed it in January & what do you know caching brought us here.

Number 1 on my big caching day out with Cabbos. I worked out the puzzle quite a while ago and finally getting around to finding the cache. Once at the site it was an easy find. Thanks Beaker, I am looking forward to finding the next ones in the series.
Down this way today and happy to mark this one off, took a little to decide to check where the GPS was telling me to go, but sure enough there it was, lovely rocks and shapes in this area, TFTC, TNLN.

With all the puzzles completed (Mr O is a sudoku nut), this is the first one in the series that we've found. With a bit of luck the others won't be too long waiting for a find! Nice spot, this one. Very wet after a solid day's rain, but the cache was dry as a bone. TFTC.
Thought that a Saturday Arvo drive would be a good idea, why not use the brain and do some puzzles while driving. Found this one easily.

We found our 1st Beakers Bunch cache at 2:45pm as the 14th of 20 on our South West / South East Tour - Day 4. To continue the run of now 7 Victorian geocachers in a row to find this cache over the last year and a half. Our first SA geocache of this trip. I must admit that when I pulled up at GZ, I thought that it was going to be a mere magnetic on the Armorguard railing and was a bit disappointed. Then, when we got closer we were pointed towards the wonderful feature which I had not seen as we passed. Beautiful. I scrambled around for a while but Mrs "H" came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache from D, H & A B-A.
Ah, nothing like a Sudoku challenge when you're on holiday!
Had solved the puzzle the day before and with the weather not conducive to beach swimming a day of exploring and caching was on the cards.
We drove past this intriguing geographical feature and I elected to keep the kids in the car whilst I went hunting. I was very gratified to uncover the first of the 4 Sudoku caches at 10:30.
T: Animal snap,
L: $2 coin.
Duly wrote down the bonus clue and went back to reassure the team that I hadn't ruined their holiday by falling down a bottomless pit.
Many thanks to Beaker's Bunch.

Solved the puzzle quite a while ago, stopped off to find, while enroute to "The Mount".
Took the kids to look at the nearby sinkhole, lots of wasps looking very angry, so we kept our exploration to one side of the over hang.
Now there's only 4 left to find, not too sure how to get to No 3 in a 2WD though.

Third of eight caches on my way home from Mt Gambier ("to Warrnambool" day). I had worked out all four sudokus before this trip, but this one was the only one I got a chance to log. Geez, I hate 'em in rocks! There are usually many places it could be hidden, and unless the coordinates are very accurate, you can a great deal of time looking for the cache. Fortunately, BB's coords were spot on as usual, so I had a relatively quick find at 1120. During the search my legs got covered in grass seeds, and the flies gave me a mauling. I made no exchange at this one. Thanks to Beaker's Bunch for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Have decoded the co-ordinates, but I will have to wait goodness how long to make it to GZ. I will get it one day!!
Stanley 3 solved all the puzzles for us weeks ago before she left home to live in Bangkok to prepare us for this trip. First approached this from the wrong point but after repositioning ourselves we found the cache in the company of many flies.
On to the others.
