Sadly no joy, there were many lone running CIA and we looked under quite a few of them !
Alas, 5 of us searching amongst every lone rock we could find, could not find the cache.
I prefer the longer caches, so while visiting from Melbourne I thought I'd give it a go. An enjoyable walk ended up at the indicated GZ (as per the gallery pics), but unfortunately no container or smilie. Still, I enjoyed this unexpected foreshore walkway. TFTH, bonaccordions.
Today was my third day on a far-east caching vacation tour, covering Thailand, Australia an New Zealand. And and my very first day in beautiful Sydney .
Arriving dammned early this morning from Bankok, I had to spend my time making senseful things until the hotel-room at Bondi Beach was ready and made up.
So why not go for a little caching-tour in the extremely scenic area around here ?
Despite a huge jetlag I was able to find eight boxes and visited two awesome earth-caches... Yuppiehhh !
But the jetlag must have been severe - as I was not able to spot about 5 more boxes in the area.... Blindness was my friend today
This nice multicache was one of the highlights today [^]. Only 2 Stages and final ? Easy! Easy? But the quite long path to the final was worth while! [^]
Great views and scenery! [^]
On the way back I whitnessed the landing of a water-aircraft that picked up some society-muggles from a beach - cool!
Thanks [:X] to the owners for the concept and for showing this extremely nice path [^]! Cheers from Germany

What a glorious day for a walk around the harbour foreshore. Must keep in mind when next I have interstate visitors. Thanks for taking me here bonaccordians and thanks for the cache.
Took a slight diversion from my usual route to work today to pick up a few caches around the Vaucluse area. This was the 2nd of 4 finds for the morning.
We had visited all of the waypoints for this cache way back in March (13th) of this year, while we were taking part in the Sydney Amateur Radio Ferry Contest, put on by the Waverley Amateur Radio Society (VK2BV), which had HAMs jumping on and off ferries all around the harbour chasing points. We had calculated the final GZ location but it was a bit too far away for us to visit on that day, and so it had to wait until today when I was back in the area to finally complete the mission.
So after finding another nearby cache I continued walking along the path until I reached this cache's final GZ location, where the cache was soon uncovered. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The cache container's interior was damp, as was the log sheet, so I dried out the log sheet in the warm sun and then put it in a small plastic ziploc bag to keep it dry. TFTC bonaccordians.

Every year around my birthday my family indulges my caching addiction by coming out on a decent walk with me. This cache came highly recommended by a caching friend some years back as a nice walk - he wasn't wrong we had a great time evn it was a bit on the warm side. Even though it was a while back that he told me about it - I never forgot about these nuns!
We took advantage of the Opal cap on Sundays and had a couple of great ferry rides to get here.
Always great to discover a new walk with magnificent views vrtually all the way along. A fav from me.

Waypoint info was easy enough to grab, but the final was super tricky for me as my GPS was struggling to acquire a lock on the location. Eventually found after taking a scattergun approach. A most enjoyable walk along the trail. Tftc
Easy find once you've done the leg work from WP1 to WP2 to GZ. What an awesome bushwalk in the city with views right down Sydney Harbour to the two great icons - Harbour Bridge and Opera House. TFTC bonaccordians

First we looked at the weatherforecast, before we decided were to go.
But it should be a good day for a nice walk, so we took the Ferry to Watson bay.
There were enough caches in the gps, so nothing could go wrong.
We took the steep road to the start of this multi, passing the school.
We had to guess some of the answers, because we didn't know it completely.
But the next point was the graveyard, so we went into the good direction.
When we calculated the new coordinate, we had to walk a long way.
But the coordinate was very logical, so we went for it.
Because of the sun there were a lot of passants, but we managed to get to GZ at a good time.
There was nobody nearby, so we could get the cache without any muggles.
Thanks for the nice walk.

Thanks bonaccordians for a great multi, loved the walk along the harbour. Dropped in a tb. Attempted to sign the damp log sheet with a clutch pencil, more an engraving. Tftc
Sydney was at its best today as we near the end of autumn. Cool sunny, air very clear, so what better to do than take a stroll along the jewel of the Pacific that is Sydney Harbour? And what better while doing it than taking photos and taking part in a spot of Geocaching.
We found four today - or more precisely Ms Atalanta found four. I tend to be more trusting that my GPS is spot on. She on the other hand wanders around rather more, looking for unusual placings of twigs, logs, rocks and bricks.
And that is how she found this one when we eventually got to GZ.
Thanks for bringing us along this track and showing us a wonderful part of the harbour.

The others were all over this cache, but I contributed by counting something several times. Hooray for me! Nevertheless, the path to and from this cache was more than engaging enough to mean we all had a great time. runaroundtheworld was drawn to this one quickly, minimising our embarrassment at how far away we were.
Billiant location and not far from the path at all! Though we were all half way up the hill already then runaroundtheworld made the discovery. Thanks for this quick multi!
This was probably the main cache I wanted to get today. Misspalot assembled the motley crew of herself, myself, runaroundtheworld and rassilon256. We walked from Bondi Junction to Watsons Bay grabbing caches along the way. What a day.
The track wound itself around the coastline with beautiful views at every corner. Everyone contributed with doing the maths, navigating and finding the cache. It was up to runaroundtheworld to make the find in the end. I hope to return here just to do the walk again

Id worked out some coordinates at home and decided that as what Id worked out was pretty close to where I'd be today that I would have a look. Turned out I was right as I found it quite quickly using the photos. Cheers and TFTC
Today was a combination of Amateur (HAM) radio and Geocaching activities. We took part in the Sydney Amateur Radio Ferry Contest, put on by the Waverley Amateur Radio Society, which had HAMs jumping on and off ferries all around the harbour chasing points. Waverley club station VK2BV was setup behind the Rose Bay Ferry wharf, to act as a control/check-in station. Managed to make a respectable 32 “contacts” during our trip over, and back, from Manly to Rose Bay on the various ferries & wharves.
Visited the two waypoints, and calculated final GZ coords, but it was too far away for us today (walking only) so will save it for another day. I know the Convent building well, as I was a fan of the TV series "Spyforce" in the 1970's, which used the building's external shots as it's Sydney head quarters. TFTH bonaccordians.

I really enjoyed the lovely walk on this *very* humid day! The container is filthy, the logbook was really soggy and I forgot my pen due to inadvertantly locking myself out of my friend's home (had to wait for her to return from work to get back in), so I'm hoping a photo log suffices. I'd suggest a new logbook
Such a lovely multi. Enjoyed this one! Only the container could be cleaner and dryer.
Found with cachem8 during a fair in a nearby school we used to attend. The final cache is a bit soggy
After calculating the the coordinates of the final waypoint at home, me and mp_tp headed up to the Kincoppal-Rose Bay Spring Fair, and after collecting a range of sweet and delicious items, we were ready to go.
We did not have a pen, and the camera on my phone refused to work, but the find was easy. The logbook was a soaked ball of paper, sitting at the bottom, so it will need to be replaced as it is unsignable.
We were happy to do this beautiful walk again, after doing it many times with school, and it was a very fitting cache to do, me and mp_tp both being ex-students as well as collecting it while at a school event. Tftc bonaccordians!

Must have calculated incorrectly at WP2 which put GZ in the middle of PJ, but wasn't difficult to deduce where the real GZ was. GPSr was all over the place and many possible rocks to hide but found eventually. tftc
Went looking for this one late in the afternoon. It took me a bit longer than I intended, so much so that my phone died when I arrived and at the final waypoint. In any case, I was still able to find the cache and enjoyed the walk back, looking over the sunset filled harbour. TFTC
I've been waiting for soooooo long for a chance to get this one. Today , because it was low tide, Titus446 decided to go for a walk along the rocks and we where able to find it. When we got the cache, everything inside was soggy but it was still a good hide.
Checked today. Good order. Little ferns have grown up in front of the overhang making it harder to see.
Subsequent note to add to found note - really enjoyed this one - found with Titus and family today on big caching tour of eastern suburbs - he might have helped me a bit ....
After managing to get the coordinates wrong 3 times we found the cache. Really enjoyed the walk and views! Met the owner of the cache too, solid advice "keep going and going!" Took photo as no pen
Found after a few failed coordinates. Lovely location to walk . No pen. Photo to come
hi smurfykk. Thanks for hunting the Nuns down. But, just to clear things up, I am the owner and did not meet you up there. Mysterious.

On this glorious day am off for a walk in vaucluse and further
Well I was a bit hesitating to try your cache as since may there had been no logs
Furthermore I came from the "wrong side", I walked the heritage foreshore walk" towards the starting coordinates
Oh cr.., well it seems like it's my backtracking day
Started, went to wp1, then wp2, to GZ all the path back I just came from, fabulous when the sun is shining and very few people around - loved it fav point just because

At waypoint 1 we were able to make the calculations alright, all except for Z. But after reading someones log we decided to press on without it. At waypoint 2 we were able to get the new coordinates only to have the trail blocked with trail maintenance. After looking at our google maps and openstreet maps we were able to determine a way to get back on track, and at GZ made a quick grab. Loved this little foreshore track with the wonderful views. TFTC
After gathering the co-ords previously Snickersallan and I made our way to the GZ in the rain. However, as luck would have it when we arrived at the GZ it stopped raining. TB Drop and pick up. Took state transit TB Signing duties completed, cache returned to its hides hole. TFTH TFTC
What a wonderful adventure after miss counting the items at second waypoint and having to turn around and start again. Left scrunchy, took nothing from container, TFTC
Please note that the Hermitage Foreshore Track is scheduled to be closed for maintenance works between 28th April and 30th May 2014, which could cause some access difficulties to certain stages of this cache during this period.
After slowly and meticulously clearing caches located in the Eastern harbour suburbs, I'd had my eye on the set of caches hidden along South Head for some time, and today had planned a major assault starting at Rose Bay through Vaucluse and all the way up to Watson's Bay. After finding The Spring, this cache was second on the list, and I made my way over to WP1.
Being an engineering type who doesn't handle ambiguity well, without clear and definite instruction as to what I was looking for at WP1 I was a little stumped at first. After a brief search of the area and a few head scratches later, there really was only one possibility, so I started calculating WP2. Not entirely confident of my solution, but throwing caution to the wind (after taking a photo of object at WP1 for reference in case re-calculation was required), I set off down the path in the direction specified by my GPSr.
I needn't have worried as much as I did, since when I was within 20m of WP2 I was able to recognize I was in the right place. Quite an eerie little graveyard seemingly in the middle of nowhere, especially as I was alone. A little bit of mental arithmetic later, and GZ coordinates had been derived (again, not overly confident, but more photographic evidence taken in case re-calculation required). I was a little surprised at the distance GZ was from WP2, however I thouroughly enjoyed the walk (having lived in Sydney most of my life yet never actually been to this part of the city) and would definitely recommend it to others. I managed to find Carrara on the way.
I had done a little prior research before embarking on the expedition and had viewed the spoiler images of GZ, so on approach the location was immediately recognized and cache easily retrieved, I probably would have struggled without the spoiler. I signed the log, took a trackable, dropped off another, and continued North on my quest, towards Sydney Harbour (Port Jackson) EarthCache.
Thanks bonaccordians, yet another wonderfully located cache! Would love to see more from you!

Manged to get to WP1 and WP2 before it became too dark to attempt WP3 retrieval. Will have to come back another day.
Loved this one !
The clues were straight forward and the walk has to be THE best on Sydney foreshore
Fav point well deserved !!!

Some weeks ago we found the last WP very late in the day, so back in Sydney today we went straight to GZ. Good coordinates gave us a quick find on an abandoned track, I'll bet it is a lot busier on weekends. The views along this trail are amazing, I love the way the bridge gradually disappears as you head north but still peeks above the treeline. Thanks for a great memorable multicache, we enjoyed it a lot and dropped off a Coin.
Worked this out nearly a year ago, but had done it sort of backwards and didn't have time to head back up the path that day. Then, I went back to my native US for almost a year, making this a very long, drawn-out find indeed. Fortunately I had saved the numbers, and could go right to it this time. Nice multi on a good walk; TFTC!

FTFTY (first to find this year)!
We drove to wp1 where we identified the numbers, had a chuckle about the misanthropist seeking his/her happiness thru an exercise and we walked to wp2. Counted the crosses there, got coords for the final and continued our walk up to GZ. CIH after a brief search.
Thanks bonaccordians! Our favourite point for a walk in a beautiful place.

Out this way to complete and put an end to an overseas multi which others have dragged for half a year.
Picked up first two waypoint info and drove over here. Great views from all waypoints, thanks.

Out for a day with The Rats, we sat not far from here to watch the Navy boats.
I didn't do any of the hard work but I did find the cache in its resting spot.
Thanks

This cache had been a work-in-progress for some time now. After deciding to watch the Navy Fleet Review from the foreshore of Nielson Park I thought it was a good time to finish off this cache.
As it turned out we spent the day only 65m from GZ right on the water. The weather was great for swimming and taking in the vista of our magnificent harbour. Grabbing the cache proved a little tricky as GZ was a buzz with muggles.
Thanks

I dug out the info on this cache which we gathered 2 years ago, and knowing that I was working nearby this morning was the ideal opportunity to finish it off. I headed to GZ and searched for awhile until I re-read all the cache info which put me back on track and then I found it. The views today of the harbour were fabulous TNLN, thanks.
10/08/13. 7:49 AM. Cache #820. Current streak: 335 days. 2nd of 5 caches this morning as I keep working on clearing caches in the Eastern suburbs. I left Parsley Glen and headed to this multi which I found very enjoyable, along with the nice walk. The misanthrope clue threw me a bit but I worked it out eventually and made my way to WP2. Counted the crosses and found a nice spot to sit down and work out the location of the final. But what's this? Why is it telling me it's in Balmain? Ah, forgot to add the 5! Recalc, that looks better! Decided to save a bit of time by driving the short distance to GZ. The main path joined a smaller track where I'd been earth caching only a few days ago. From there, just a short hop to the cache which was easily found. TFTC bons, a great cache. Now on to The Final Cut. }:)
This is an excellent cache to look for. The clues in the puzzle are very interesting - not to easy and not too hard. The views on the way to the final location are picture postcard perfect!
It was a beautiful late afternoon when I started this multi. WP1 and WP2 were quickly found and, after a few false calculations, I soon had the coordinates for the cache.
The walk to GZ is magic. There were people out enjoying the walk, lazing on the little harbour beaches, or relaxing on the millionaires boats anchored near shore.
I particularly enjoyed the contrast of the fabulous Sydney scenery and the japanese couple having their wedding photos taken (see attached).
I found the cache, did the signing duties, and returned it, being careful to cover my tracks.
The views are some of the best in Sydney, so this is a favourite. TFTC

With some clever work from geo-friends we were able to find this cache Thankfully the photo hints helped us too! Great spot and really awesome cache! We swapped for the quartz
Same location, new box , swaps ,logbook. swaps include a magic piece of cut rose quartz and a working bedside analog alarm clock. This clock was brought from London to Australia by a 1980's rock legend. His band had the no. 1 single and album for 8 weeks running in the early 1980's. Can anyone guess which band? the clock uses 1 AA battery and is currently running and set to EDST. It's actually ticking softly so listen up!!

sad to hear it's missing. Thanks for the detailed report and I will replace soon.
We tried to give this one love. Unlike the previous searcher, we're pretty certain we had the correct area. Everything matched the cache notes, clue and what other cachers had written. I found what I was certain was the hide. The rock in front had the kind of scrapes you get when moving it out of the way to reveal the cache behind. I moved the rock and thought I saw the cache in the cavity. Instead, I pulled out a bear bottle, then another and another. I wasn't sure that this was where the cache was meant to be hidden, but the spot matched everything we expected, but it looked like it might have been replaced. Perhaps needs a check.
Found the first and second waypoint without problem. that took me to a spot which was not on the track. looked around for a while but no luck. Ah well.
Managed to find some time to duck out today for international geocaching day to grab a couple of smilies ;p Parked in the nearby street (glad there were some free un-timed spots!) and quickly grabbed the required info from WP1. Brisk walk to WP2, punched in the numbers and looked at the co-ords for GZ. Although it was a bit further away than I was expecting, it was altogether a very pleasant walk to reach the final location.
Had CIH soon after reaching GZ (great start after not having been caching for a while), and sat for a while at GZ taking some TB journey photos. While I was sitting there, a group of people come past from the lower part of the track, lugging lots of camera equipment (pretty expensive types) and swimming gear back with them ...it'd be interesting to know what they were filming!!
Cache in good condition, nice and roomy, so added a TB and geocoin =) Thanks for setting up this great multi. Its nice to be able to get from one waypoint to the next fairly easily without having to do masses of sums and equations in between! TFTC ^_^

What a great cache! It was a little overcast and windy but not to bad. I figured out the clues but had a bit of trouble finding the first sign as there was a truck parked in front of it. At the GZ I approached from the road above and was looking around the wrong "lone rock". So I read the description again and before long i had the cache in hand. There was no pen so I added one and took the sunflower seeds. I'm going to plant them near each cache I find till I run out. TFTC.
A fun multi which was undertaken whilst we were walking from Rose Bay to Watson's Bay. Found a TB. Will keep it moving.
We had tried this before in early 2008 and our DNF was one of a series of failed attempts by other cachers all logged at the same time.
Armed with some insight provided by some recent logs and a careful read of the instructions, Mr Ozjeepr set off for another attempt on this one today whilst Mrs Ozjeeper was at the SCG watching the Sydney Swans defeat North Melbourne.
WP1 and WP2 of course had to be re-visited again, but it's not really a chore when you have continual amazing harbour view to look at whilst strolling along the pathway. There has been lots of improvement to the track by the local council in the last four years (and they are currently hard at work on some sections now) making the walk a lot easier to do with less scrambling over tree roots and rocks.
Light rain kept most people away this afternoon and Mr Ozjeeper had GZ all to himself. The cache was located very quickly this time (and without leaving the path, just as the cache listing says). It was a pleasure to find a large-ish container in the first plce Mr Ozjeeper looked.
Dropped off "Come Fly With Me" TB - an appropriate spot for it to watch the passing parade of seaplanes landing (or should that really be watering?) and taking off.
Picked up "Sally sightseeing bug" & "Fly away 2009" geocoin to relocate them to another cache.
Thank you Bonaccordians for bringing us here and for creating a memorable cache.

First two clues easy enough. Walk was wonderful. Final hide??? After searching for half an hour another cache r happened by and asked if we were looking for something. Hint was pretty useless. Dropped GC took TB.
Redemption after almost 2 years. I DNF'ed this one Apr 27, 2010. This time I made a quick find. Traded TB's. TFTC
Found WP1 and WP2 but the crowds around where the final waypoint was were so many we couldn't park our car within 1km of the cache. We didn't do the rest of the walk because we wanted to have our lunch. Thanks for taking us to this beautiful place and walk. We will return to do the final waypoint and finish the cache.
Found at 3.40pm GAFF1. We have had a very enjoyable day exploring this whole peninsula - the houses are magnificent (and expensive), the views are glorious and there are still bush sections like this one.
When we arrived at GZ we watched some boys jumping off a rock platform about 4 metres from the surface - quite brave!
Thanks bonaccordians.
Feedback: We had to take one step off the track to reach the cache.

#391 What an awesome multi. It was fun retrieving the required info. Pressed for time, I decided to walk back to my car and drive to Final GZ. I definitely will be back here to do the proper hike. (Though I did hike some of the trails picking up the other caches along the way.) Like some of the previous cachers the clue also confused me. The coords were spot on though when I found the cache so I should've just relied on that. Also, the photos helped in honing in on this cache. Thanks for taking me here. TFTC.

Easy waypoints but GZ was a bit trickier with GPS bouncing around. But geokid found it after a few initial 'mistaken' identity as to which was the real hide. Extra high muggle factor on a sunny Sunday. TFTC
Our 5542nd overall find.
What a great historical multi. Thanks for sharing with us this one. It was a few nice wanders. It must have been the day for walks today. Once at the GZ we eventually found the cache after I walked well away from the GZ.
Thanks bonaccordians for the cache.

Found with Big Matt and Shell and The Rats during an early evening run around the eastern suburbs.
An enjoyable multi gathering info at each waypoint before a nice walk to GZ to make the find.
TNLN and thanks bonaccordians for the cache.

After visiting the first waypoint and calculating the second I was on my way. Next using the numbers from WP2 and calculating GZ on the back of a leaf (no paper handy) I was off to GZ. What a great walk and after 15 minutes I was at GZ. There are some magnificent views along this walk of the city and harbour so thanks to Bonaccordians for setting up this cache. Finding the cache was easy enough once I was at GZ and took some time to complete the log and watch the ferry's pass by. Thoroughly enjoyed this cache and learning about the forgotton nuns. TFTC
After getting the maths wrong on WP1 I spent 30minutes back tracking and recalucting after all the effort I managed to come up with the find at GZ,

I have a feeling that a muggle has kicked it or trashed it so whoever owns the cache should come and check if it is still there?
I found this cache, but i also found i didn't have my pen, although i did have a camera, so i decided to take a pic of the cache with the last logged entry from the front of the booklet.
Thanks for bringing me here =)
I will load the pic soon for proof =)
Thanks again.

After driving past this cache many times I decided to give it a go. Thanks for the exercise! I started to walk towards GZ after WP2 but realised my parking would expire in 20 minutes. I turned back and got into the car and drove closer to GZ and found a more suitable parking spot. The cache itself was a bit tricky. The clue was NO HELP (whatdya mean LONE rock)but the photo clues gave me just enough. Left a trackable penguin thingy that i've held onto for too long.
The Nuns patiently wait .. been over a year since found .. they are getting lonely....perhaps I should change the name to Forgotten Cache... never mind... cache box is fine although the image of the Nuns on the front is becoming faded and ghostly... spoooky... (see photo) ... See other new photos for extra hints. Come and find us!
New cache box in place. Same position. Less visible, better camo. Happy hunting.
We couldn't find this one and the coords had me way off the trail. I then rechecked and found my mistake. Now we're looking just off the trail and I found what looked like the lone rock that matched the hint. I lifted the rock and found some bark but no cache. A little disappointing after not finding Nemo's Hideaway cache. I'm starting to think it's going to be a bad day but we ended up with 5 of 7 and had a great meal at Doyles before catching the ferry back to Circular Quay. TFTH
Wow
all the team agree we really needed to bring the togs on this one.
some great little beaches along the way.
Had some trouble with the equations but eventually by substitution method figured it out.
Ran out of battery on blackberry and the 2 iphones were getting worn out too but we made it.
very nice spot and yes sure as eggs there were kids jumping off the nearby cliff, right in front of the sign warning of serious injury - but when its hot and the harbour water is so inviting. Im bringing my wetsuit boots next time and taking a dip.
took TB1NH0B platypus - come in handy for next weekends GCing roadtrip.
Semikosher, Quarterpipe, Shinyseeker and Mu33a.

This was a really lovely walk today. It took us a few minutes to locate the cache but the co-ords we calculated were pretty good so we were looking at the right spot Swapped coins, dropping off Little Notch the Platypus and picked up the Yang coin. TFTC
