Finding access to this bush land was just as difficult as finding the cache. Finally entered opposite David Rd only to find a hole in the fence at the back of the cemetery car park where I had already been. Found the pipes but a cache was not obvious so left for something more civilised.
Looked at both ends of the pipes but couldn’t spot it. Probably missing something. Interesting spot in suburbia.

Morning cache of this last Friday at work.
Had worked out the I could park up top.
Follower a slope down, it was an overgrown snakepit, a tree had fallen on the fence close to GZ.
Found the cache, not the large container in a picture bit still the cache.
Followed the fence up the hill and found a hole large enough for me that did not require fighting vines and walking on dumped greenery.
Thank you for hiding this one back in the day

Friday. Still making my way to Mt Tamborine and this was my next cache on my trip. I was fast running of time to make some finds – just picking out older caches, as well as getting to where I’m meant to be with the remaining daylight available to me, so I was trying to get ones that were close to the road side. This one looked good on the map, so I pulled over nearby into the ‘second driveway’ of a nearby establishment. I walked down towards GZ and found the driveway I should have driven in. Oh… A fence (I later discovered there is a hole in the fence so huge anyone could have fit through it). I walked back, collected my geomobile and headed off to a nearby road to find a park. Gosh it’s hard to find a spot around here!
I ended up parking some distance from GZ and made a mental note of the nice entrance to the bit of remnant parkland to this cache. A quick walk up past the entranceway to this bit of bush and lookee - a path! Face slap – how I can make a D1 into a D4. Soon arrived at GZ – discovered the huge hole, although I don’t advocate parking in this spot though and then a read up of the hint on the cache page. Great hint and had the cache in hand in moments. Back to the very well maintained pathway and then to the car. Great cache location here and I did enjoy the short walk to this one.
This was the 7th of 9 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Rogainer***, for showing us this place.

Great spot that we didn’t even know was here. Quick find with the clue, TFTC Rogainer!
Well I'm glad I studied the map for this one. Initially pulled up at the closest point and had a look over the edge. Hmm... yeah I'd probably get down there in one piece, but I doubted whether I'd get back up again!
Pored over the map for a minute and found the start of the track I could see below. Scooted around to it and it turned out to be a short pleasant walk.

Well, walked up this hill, around the corner, and then found the cache.
And somebody had been here only today....
Love that when this happens.
Nice little walk, some pretty flowers on the path in...
Cache is in good condition. TFTC

Quick cache in my lunch break today. All the dogs here are doing their duty and alerting everyone to my presence, good boys and girls buy I am just here to grab a cache and be on my way. Once at gz I had the cache in hand signed and replaced quickly. Now back up that hill and back to work. Tftc
That was fun. I went through the memorial garden thinking I could get to it. Climbed down a steep hill only to get to a fence I had to jump over. Quick find once there. Now to go back TFTC
Up from Canberra today visiting MuggleDaughter and son-in-law. We also plan on trekking and/or cycling in the hinterland, and a bit of caching in between over the next 10 days. We picked up 3 caches doing a round trip starting and finishing at Invermore St. It took us 1hr 36min to walk 5.53kms with a total ascent/descent of 120m.
This cache is in lovely bushland and was a quick find. Quick and easy find. TFTC Rogainer.

Took a sneaky path in and located quickly and indeed a lovely example of urban bushland! TFTC
My partner in crime for the day advised I missed logging this cache. Checking this evening and sure enough, missed it was. It is a very tranquil little spot on the map. Finding a back way in, the cache was quickly located after walking down the hill. Thanks for maintaining this old cache Rogainer.
Nice, easy track! Great one for the kids with little treasures at the end! TYFTC!
Was telling my little cousins how I used to go geocaching about 4-5 years ago and they got excited and asked if we could do one. We took our Nana out with us and it was a good hour spent trying to find this! Awesome hiding spot!
Making the best of a non-work day - checking some older caches out on the southside of Brisbane. My next stop was here and after eventually finding the appropriate pathway in (it sneaks up on you while driving along) I made short work of the walk and find. Cheers.
Thanks Rogainer for entertaining me at this location.

Nice to change this one into a smiley today.
Last time I found it, it was a melted mass of plastic.
Thanks for replacing.

Not sure if we should have stopped at the prohibited entry sign but oh wells
After driving ariund to find the secret stairs. The second pipe we found it. Tftc.
Who knew this was here? It's so pretty and quiet. I drive past all the time. I had spied the entry off Nursery Rd, but the secret stairs, when we found them, were a good access point. The path is a circuit and the clue really helped! Stay on the path until you see it. For a bit we thought we had to go into the gully.
The Geokid, who was disappointed to be taken away from her tablet but was happy as we swapped a Happy Meal Toy she missed out on for a unicorn and some pirate treasure!

My son was driving the car as I was madly trying to plan some caches to find having just accidentally deleted our target list for the day. The lady in my phone was screaming out directions at us which we followed blindly but it put us in a dead end street with no access to the cache.
Back out we drove towards the main road when I spotted a slither of green on the map jutting out towards the street and found the magic steps into the tranquil reserve.
We raced up the steps and turned left for a loop of the trail. I was quickly onto the hide but my son decided to keep climbing up the hill claiming he had found a shortcut back to the car. If you call saving yourself 20 metres of walking but having to walk up a hill a shortcut, then he definitely found one. tftc

Lovely little walk and nice and green. Didn’t look in the obvious place first cause I thought there were lots of more interesting options. Found it in the end though.
Having accidentally started myself on a bit of streak, I couldn't bear to let it go tonight, notwithstanding the looming grey clouds. I looked at the map and thought I could see a nice way into the remnant so piloted the geo-camry straight there. Sure enough there was a easy way in along a strip of land, which lead to a lovely little path twisting between the trees. As I set off walking a few spits of rain started to fall so I got a wriggle on and soon found the well maintained and good sized cache. Thanks Rogainer
Quick find once i found the cute little parhway between some houses, then it was a cool little mountain bike ride and a little walk. So much swag, closing it is an issue. Crikey people do love their toys. Thanks rogainer for showing me this little patch of bushland amongst suburbia by placing a cache here, what almost twelve years ago now?!
This was the target cache of four found today, and i will use it to spell out january for a challenge. Woot woot.

This was my first GC!! Always thought it would be fun to try and find one.. after entering through a path off the memorial fields parking lot, I was scratching but then tried from a different angle lol. TFTC
Spot on coordinates and hint made for an easy find. Have definitely enjoyed seeing how the other half live...
TFTC... 10/7/17. Tough Mothers (4) day out visited the crematorium first. Spotted a likely hide. Then had to find the access to the greenbelts behind the crematorium property. There is an easy way to it, just have to find the path.
Actually found this one a couple of days ago. I've lived in the area all my life but I have never explored this piece of bushland. SL, TFTC!
After reading some of the previous logs, I managed to find a small gap between the houses which led me to this piece of remnant land. The GPS was pointing over the fence - probably because of tree cover and checked the clue. As I looked around, and along the path, I spotted what I was looking for. TFTC Rogainer
5/11/16, 4:54 pm Find #1412
I had some trouble figuring out how to get to this one. My in-car GPS took me to the crematorium but I read the cache description and headed back out looking for another way.
Eventually I found a narrow little path between two big houses that, at first, looked like part of someone's yard.
Once in the remnant, it was easy to get to GZ and the cache was a quick, easy find.

Quick find at GZ. Really loved the walk in here, I'll have to bring the kids back - they would love exploring in here with all the twists and turns. TFTC
Quick dash up the stairs to beside My Thompson Crematorium after work. My Grandma and Grandpa are resting in there. Found cache easily. It's in good condition and dry with a small amount of treasure for the container size. Left treasure and signed log. TFTC Rogainer.
Had no idea this was here. Didn't even read the description before coming so this was a lovely surprise. Found quickly with geoteen. TFTC
We came to look the first time when it was missing. So we found the entry point then. The second time my phone/torch ran out of battery and it got dark. And the third time we gave up and then found it as we started to walk away. We got our value out of this one in the end. TFTC!
A little bit of searching needed.....but found it in the end. Left trackable HQ Tag #2 in the cache to continue its journey. TFTC!
I love exploring these bushland areas that are remaining in the suburbs, took a little bit of searching, but I finally found it, TFTC.
Found it easily. I have been putting this one off thinking it was more difficult than it was so now it is a Smilie and no longer a green box. TFTC
Started at the crematorium but, upon reviewing the terrain, we reviewed the description & took the tip to approach from the north-east. Back in the car, out into the streets then found 'the all-important steps'. Nice amble along a bushland path & 3 minutes searching the vicinity. Nice hide, thanks for replacing. TFTC!
Drove all around surrounding streets looking for the best access point. Found the steps leading in after driving past this spot 3 times. Took the umbrella as the clouds looked threatening. Located cache after 2 - 3 minutes just as the rain started. Signed and replaced as found. TFTC.
Good to go.
Note that nothing has changed in the cache description above since I placed this cache nearly 10 years ago. Read the description about entry points. I like people to do a bit of research - I prefer not to hold peoples hand and lead them to the cache with a string of pink ribbons. It is not about the numbers remember.

Headed into this cache.
Very hard to find the correct entry.
Drove round and around looking for it.
Most of the green point areas are covered with new houses.
Could you put a parking waypoint on the description.
Finally get to GZ and all I found was the melted bright green lid melted into a ball.
Will return if replaced thanks for the hunt

Attempted to access this remnant from above(guess who didn't write down the description!). It was good exercise, but bad Caching. A fun adventure and a great view but nonetheless I know what I'll be trying next time...
Took a while to find the entry point. But we found the stairs. We Found the hint. But there's definitely no easy find cache there.
Here with landkg and geolze. Found plastic container with no lid and little bits and pieces but no cache today. Tfth anyway, nice walk in cool bush
Nice easy find one I got the right entry point.
Beautiful little patch of bush especially on a rainy winter morning.
Grateful for a previous log entry. The clue would otherwise be easily missed.

After the navigation function took us close but to a place where we couldn't access the cache so we looked at the map to see where to go. Once we found it, we headed off just down the road and parked. Nice walk up and down and up again to the cache. We neared GZ and spotted something that matched the hint and when we looked Tdimdad and I were VERY surprised about how very in the open it was! TFTC! It's great to find this little untouched piece of bushland! Note to self, don't start writing your log while walking!
Out with Sezzz collecting a few caches in the area. It took a couple of attempts to score parking as the map version I used didn't point out the little path available from the street to the reserve.
Then we trotted along the path and suddenly the hint made perfect sense. Especially after we saw the container without any cover. We were amazed of it as it seems to be a legit walking path right next to it.
Log signed, container replaced and we added a bit of cover though not too much.
TFTC, Rogainer!

Smilie #2138
Having an hour to fill in while waiting for favourite local dining establishment to open we thought we'd grab a few more smilies for our map. We spotted 4 likely candidates & this was the 2nd.
A short walk along a well defined trail soon had me at GZ.
A quick look & there it was, IPS as it were, just staring at me.

Just a quick dash out today to find something on this special weekend - 15th anniversary of the start of geocaching apparently. Luckily it was a nice easy find as my trusty geophone had me 20m off GZ. Cache was easily spotted in its home. Am loving the Remnant series. So many lovely little bits of bushland right in people's backyards. Left some Pirate Treasure. Thanks for the cache.
Not knowing this area at all, I went to what I thought was the obvious way to access this area. Wrong! I then looked a little closer at the map and spotted what might be the right way to access GZ. I jumped back in the car and headed to where I could see on the map. I parked the car and wandered up the stairs to be greeted by a lovely remnant of bushland. I followed the track until I spotted GZ. Once there, the cache was quickly located and the log signed
Out for a morning stroll we headed off towards the relatively nearby Mt Thompson. Eventually we found a reasonable looking access point and soon had the cache located. Lots of hills and little patches of bush hereabouts. Nice little pocket of seclusion.
A short trip up the stairs from Crewe Street. Very good clue and a good sized cache. Found at 1.15 pm on 12th Feb 2015. TFTC.
