Was checking my caches in the park, but have decided to remove my cache, I getting a little long in the tooth, old, the nearby Noah's Lark a Gambol in the gorge 3 cache will fill in for this cache, its large enough, Thank you to all who have looked high and low for my caches.

18-Dec-18
I am getting old and the nearby Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge 3 should be able to cover my cache. If you want to use the site for another cache you can.

Nice hide. Garmin put it at the top of the rocks, don't climb them! iPhone was surprisingly more accurate! TFTC

We walked 200m in from the road. Was hard walking down to the gully. Better off going in from the car park abit further up and walking on the track

We enjoyed finding this older cache hidden by a CO whose name is very similar to a reviewer these days. We felt like Thelma and Louise heading across the canyon. Amazing to imagine the GPS signal down hear in the old days. A well designed hiding spot. TFTC

Found by Aussie Train Driver 17/11/2017, find number 1196.
This was a quick find whilst doing the Noah's Lark series. I took a minute to find a suitable access point across the 'grand canyon' before honing in on the cache. Great spot beside a beautiful rocky outcrop. I returned safely across the creek - jumping over the deep erosion here reminds me of a similar creek crossing we sometimes completed in PE when I was at school. We had a large area of bush out the back which featured several trails, one of which required jumping over a similarly eroded creek. TFTC! Very Happy

Great area. Thanks for placing a cache here. TFTC Bunyil's.

A rare day off with hubby and no kids meant we could do a decent hike whilst they were at school. We decided to come here as I haven't tackled any of it so far. What a brilliant morning! Such a beautiful place. A few kangaroos and wallabies around but otherwise we had the place to ourselves. We managed all but a few as I wasn't keen on one of the creek tracks and the letterbox was too hard (exhaustion)! Lol. Generally though it was an easy enough walk with a few tough hills but not too many! We left feeling very pleased and super happy with our efforts - thanks a million.

While in the area doing the nearby series we dropped it to try our luck here, it look a little while to find but once the GPS settled we were son signing the cache, what a awesome area, now this is what caching is about.
Thanks Bunyil for the cache.

With a lovely day forecast we decided to head out to Werribee Gorge to tackle the Noah's Lark series of caches. Unbeknownst to us was the extreme temperature in the bush and an abundance of insects. After weighing up the pros and cons we thought it would be best to return in the cooler months and add to today's three gorge caches. Heavily sweating, we returned to the car, indulged in ice cream and found a few park and grabs around Bacchus Marsh.

We had our lunch stop here where we decided to head back to the car. An inquisitive kangaroo watched our every move as we uncovered the nicely sized cache. Picked up a TB.

29-Jan-17
There certainly was trouble afoot. With the high temperature and bug count conspiring against us, our plan to walk the gorge in the afternoon fell apart pretty rapidly. We managed to find a few of the caches on the loop but sadly retreated back to the air-con. That said, the caches we did find were very good We've already made plans to return during the cooler months. Thanks for making the effort to place and maintain these. It's a great area which I wouldn't have visited otherwise.

Werribee Gorge circuit has been on the bucket list for a while after grabbing No1 some months back. Made the long slow walk around the circuit today in a 4 hour return journey although I missed the last week and the bonus cache. TNLN TFTC Bunjil. This was a extra find on the track although took plenty time ti uncover the neatly placed cache.

SueHut and I are having a date day in Werribee Gorge. We're making our way around the Noah's Lark series. I must admit, we thought this one was part of the same series, which caused a ruckus about 5 caches further on ("This is number #9" "No it isn't, we've already done #9" "No we haven't..."). Lol! Thanks heaps, Bunyil!

I'll be at the conference all day, she said. You should do something nice, she said.

This walk should be nice, I thought. Loop walks are nice. Warm weather and fresh air are nice.

A meandering walk down to the gorge and along the creek bed , peppered by entertaining hides and amusing containers made this a nice circuit indeed. Never saw another soul.

The bridge crossing was a highlight of this cache. I imagine the sense of danger would be heightened in bad weather with the water flowing. All dry today.

The day, in the end, got away from me and there were a few outstanding caches unattempted before I needed to turn for home. Always a good excuse to come back for more.

Western Gorges, man.

Thanks and cheers!

Been eyeing off this series of caches for a while now, so we decided to have a go on a glorious ANZAC day. This used to be a great walk for our border collie many moons ago, however we haven't come here for a hike in such a long time.

Cache in good condition. TFTC TNLN

While travelling with Mutex I’ve found a lot of caches all over Australia. You know, I like the discovering, especially in nature, but am not that much intopcs and internet ..and logging. So we spend a whole day together to indicate all the caches we found together out of his list. Hope you don't mind the standard text aslazy me has to log quitea few now. HopefullyI'm gonnawork on that Wink

Thanks!

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After I've spent a full year in Australia Pfote joined me for my second year down here. We will definitely try to collect a lot of boxes and all the special things in every state all around and through the middle.

Today Pfote, Theatralis and me made a trip to the Gorge State Park to do the Ingliston gorge circuit with this little cache trail.
We found all the boxes we attempted on a beautiful couple of hours walk.

TFTC and greetings from Germany.

Can not believe the cache has being there 10 years this August.

We decided to do the Noahs Lark series today after the rain yesterday made the gorge a doable walk in Summer.
The bush around here is just beautiful, and although it is dry there are a lot of amazing rock formations and spectacular views.
It took about 3 and a half hours and we missed 2 of the series and the letterbox due to time limits.
A fav point for all the caches as they were either crafty or in awesome spots.

Found today with Mum & Dad.
I loved the walk around here.
We saw some amazing views and some cool rocks.
We even saw an echidna at one point!
The cache containers were very cool as well.
Thanks for the series it was such a fun day.

I'd been trying to escape the house the entire four-ish day weekend, but family and work drama just kept popping up at the most inopportune moments (as they usually do... I defy anyone to suggest an opportune moment). This morning, I was tetchy enough to climb the walls. Well, Ingliston Gorge near enough qualifies.

A bonus find while doing the Noah's Lark series... the home made bridge to gain access to the cache definitely added to the adventure. Thanks, Bunyil.

Second attempt at this one on my second visit to the Sloss's gully trail. This is a really interesting bushwalking trail, not like most of the ones that are cleared well with obvious trails. This one required much more attention and on several occasions I had to stop to figure out where the trail actually was. Spotted some wildlife along the creek bed as well. I spent most of my first attempt looking at the wrong height like most people seem to have initially done here. This time around I varied my approach angle and soon spotted the cache as I was nearing GZ. Much less effort this time around and far less chance of breaking my ankle! Good to see this sized cache and one that's been here for so long. Thanks Bunyil.

[:(!] Spending a couple of days over Easter with our daughter and her family, with one of my geograndsons and I went for a half day of caching to do this series, parked the geocar as close as possible to "Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge 1 Trouble Afoot" - (GC3WJDD) and we walked in from there to do the circuit and a few extra ones as well and this was one of them, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Thanks for the cache, cool cache. Motndarg made the find. Good swaps.

20-Apr-14
We scrambled over the creek bed and up high only to find that high wasn't necessary. Motndarg made the find. It is a good size container with great swaps. Thanks for the hide.

After attending an Easter Event today in Ballarat, we planned to do this series with Motndarg and Tomstache. We arrived mid afternoon and set off. The weather was perfect, dry and not too hot. Some of the caches took us a while to find, others were found quickly, there were some fun cache containers too. There were some lovely views. We didn't really allow enough time to complete the series and as there was no shortcuts through, we will need to return to make the remaining finds as we had a prior dinner engagement to attend to.

20-Apr-14
Well it wasn't up as high as my mountain goat caching friends thought. Found in a good dry spot. Glad it was a cool day and no snakes.

10-Mar-14
The boys and I only decided late last night to do these caches. We headed off this morning to do them. We had a few false starts at first due to a lack of research but we soon got into the rhythm of it and did the circuit. On this one I realised that I was on the wrong track so we continued on the right one. All this time bushwalking and I have never seen a 'Joe Blake'. Maybe because I am so heavy they can easily hear me coming!!

09-Mar-14
Great spot, but I was so scared I might see a snake. Thankfully I didn't. Phew.

16-Feb-14
TheRustyDuck and I set off today to attempt this series. We throughly enjoyed it and love the creative in the caches. We somehow managed to get all the caches today, so thank you for making this series. Smile

16-Feb-14
I did a large series of caches today with yellowdaisy135 and this cache was along the way, so we did it as well. The weather was nice and we found over 20 caches, so all in all a pretty good day. TFTC.

30-Nov-13
Found this one today whilst completing the caching trail on the circuit. Or should I say, signed the log after sending Geohubby in to make the retrieval as my dodgy knee really didn't need to do that! Cache was located and retrieved and then spent a short moment airborne before coming to land within my grasp, then took the next flight back once the log had been signed. Retrieved the Geohubby and headed onwards!
Thanks Bunyil!

08-Nov-13
Spent a bit more time here - the terrain rating led me to believe it might be up there Smile An easy find once back on the right level. Thanks.

Well my gps took me up and over the top of the rocks which I thought was strange considering the name. But found cache easy and enjoyed the rock/hill climb. Thanks

Find 1 of 12 today in the Gorge.
After doing 11 finds here earlier this week by myself, I returned for an enjoyable day's hiking with reinforcements ThePacGirl and TheSnoopy.

Like many people, I started on the worng side of the gorge. Took long to find this one, and as I gave up and started finding my way back to the track, I suddenly looked back and found the cache! Nice big container.

Find No. 267. Found with FUF009 at 9.15am
It was FUF009's idea to do the Noah's Lark Trail while we were still on holidays. Definately not an area to do by yourself. We all enjoyed walking the area. This hide was a bit tricky but after what seemed quite a few minutes the hide was located.
Took McQueen Pixar Car. Left large white car.

Find #549 @ 0915H

Found with Tyred n Cranky

After talking Tyred n Cranky into hitting the Noah's Lark series the night before. I was kind of glad that they were there as I struggled up the hills.

This cache will be remembered for times to come, as Mr Tyred n Cranky took a tumble down the rocks. But as he came off the end he landed on his feet. it was a perfect landing with only a minor graze on an elbow.

Took Piglet clip
Left Kung Fu Panda tiger

There were plenty of places to hide a cache at GZ - MadBoy and I spent a while searching for this until I tried a different direction. Rather than jump the creek, we back tracked until it was a little shallower (although no water in it, just a deep gully as it was Summer. I'd wanted to do this cache before the Noah's Lark series was placed, and this gave us a good opportunity to make it all happen. TFTC.

13-Jan-13
Found with Misselaneius. Took as a while to find it there are a few places it could be hidden. A nice little find. probably the oldest cache I have found to date. TFTC

13-Jan-13
The end of the Noahs lark series was within reach, but we couldn't miss the opportunity to claim a find on this much older cache... we were passing by anyway.
It turned out to be our toughest find of the day. The nexus wanted to put us up the cliff. We scrambled up over and around every square inch.. frustration began to set in. We certainly didn't want to ruin our flawless find rate of the day with only a couple remaining.
On the point of giving up, I realised most people would arrive at GZ from the opposite direction and remembered the geotactic of looking from different angles. I looped around and returned to GZ approaching downhill and made the find almost straight away. "Where are you daz?" "Up top" " I think you can come down now!"
Great cache, plenty of treasures within. We took nothing, signed the logbook and headed onwards to the last of the Noah caches.
Thanks for this cache Bunyil.

Another simply awesome night caching run with the new and improved Demolition Crew. With Eric (Rebel Acts) on board officially now, the 4 man team set out for a huge night, with around 90 different caches found over a long night of caching. Personally the tally was 73 new caches visited, no DNF's for me either, some I had been to before, which TR and Rebel needed.

Started in the Melbourne suburban area picking up some new and unfound caches, before heading west via Melton, Bacchus Marsh and onto the Gamble in the Gorge series, which was completed in darkness. That was an adventure in itself, with a few minor injuries, but plenty of torch light poured on the situation helped. We were also rained on, did I mention that.... The run finished with Eynesbury series and finally with a dash to Richmond to collect the recently solved Perplexed.

A sensational night in all with great company, great conversations and plenty of laughs. My thanks to all the CO's for the caches placed, without their efforts, we would not have had anything to find. Found while doing he nearby series in the same park. Nice spot here, even in the dark. TFTC.

03-Dec-12
After voting to include Rebel Acts into The Demolition Crew, it was always going to be a massive night of caching as the new and improved TDC. We picked out a really sweet spot just west of Melbourne for all of us and just went mad caching all night. At the end of the of it over 90 caches were visited. My personal tally for the night was 88 finds with no DNF's.

The well oiled machine of TDC started in Notting Hill and moved in a northern western arc picking up the odd cache until we reached Melton. There it was a matter of cleaning out some of the recently published caches there before moving through Bacchus Marsh to the series Noah's Lark a Gambol in the Gorge. A great night out with plenty of laughs, soaking rain, wind, chest high grass, and the occasional fall.

A big thank you to all the cache CO's who have put in the effort to place the caches we found tonight. A great little series this one (albeit not in the series), not only for the 5 km of bush bashing through wet grass, but also the great hides found. Well done.
