Down in the big smoke visiting our daughter and her boyfriend and after a disappointing day at the 'G', Tigers going down to the Saints there was only one thing that could end my day on a happier note, to find a cache!!! SL TFTC

08-Aug-16
I had a little trouble with the GPS here but the clue was very helpful, thanks!

01-Aug-16
Up at the shopping centre, so I checked to see if there were any caches nearby. This was the closest. I had an idea on the type of hide and after a bit of a check, I soon had my hands on it. TFTC The Farmers 5 and for showing me this awesome sculpture.

20-Jul-16
Found this one on the third time of looking. Should have listened to T on this one, as she interpreted the clue in a more literal sense than me, and turned out to be right. I walk past this artwork everyday and never took notice. TFTC

This was a wonderful cache. Took awhile to find this one because the GPS was receiving a bad signal. Anyway found it in the end for my second cache of the day. TFTC

21-Mar-16
As I was still too early for my appointment with my friendly cardiologist, a couple more caches wouldn't hurt, and this was the next one on the radar.
After a bit of roundy-roundy trying to find somewhere to park the big Mazda 3, I swung into the shopping centre carpark (they seemed to have changed the rules as the first hour is $1 now...highway robbery!!), and wandered back out the ramp, thumbing my nose at the "No Pedestrian" signs....anarchy is my middle name....(well, it isn't, but that's another story)
So I rocked up to the artwork thing and thankfully it was fairly quiet this morning so it meant I only had to "admire the artwork" and "tie my shoelaces" a few times before I was able to make the quick grab and sign my life away.
Then as I was walking away I looked down and found a brand new packet of fishing sinkers!, Huzaah!...
although I can't stand fishing as it bores me to tears, but that's not the point...I scored a FREE packet of sinkers!.....Cool.

Thanks again Greg and Karen for a nice morning of caching before being poked and prodded at the hospital.

(looks at watch..."oh, still enough time to duck over there and grab that one of Spooks")

Cheers

A quick find. Shop here regularly and never noticed the artwork. TFTC

30-Jan-16
Seeing as I was dragged up here on a shopping expedition..[xx(], I wasn't going to miss the opportunity to grab a cache !! Did a quick search and found this hide only about 100 metres away !! Cool This is a decent sized mural, very impressive. I was a bit worried because I had a balcony full of loud people directly behind me. Between them and the passing muggles, I had to time my retrieval just right. While pretending to scrutinise the artwork, I made a stealthy find. [^] It was all thanks to the hint though, as the GPS had me about 20 metres from GZ. Thanks for showing me this piece of art. TFTC The Farmers 5 Big Grin

No idea about the real thing but the hint got me there

01-Jan-16
Out shopping for baby stuff and this cache took my fancy - the artwork was fantastic and loved the detail. The GPS had me walking back and forth and as I don't know Melbourne that well yet (even after living here for a year!) meant I couldn't make use of the hint. A lot of show tying and other tactics finally had me able to grab the goods and sign the log. TFTC

31-Dec-15
Was at Hoyts and the big blue box. Despite it being a VERY warm day I couldn't pass up the opportunity to increase the tally before the new year.
Didn't bother trying to find the bridge although it is obvious, simply used the carpark.
SL and visited a couple of personal TBs. Tftc.

Found @ 15:10
Enjoyed the walk to this one whilst in the city on this perfect sunny day on a caching run in the area.
Very interesting sculpture emphasizing the importance of this mighty river. After a bit of feeling around came up with nothing but better luck in a different location where the cache was quickly spotted and retrieved and log signed before muggles approached. Nice little cache container and hide Very Happy

Found @15:09 #5223
While on the drive back from an appointment in the city with icefoxy we stopped by to find a few in this area as there was a small cluster to help boost the final numbers for the year. Using a trick mention in an earlier log we did the same and soon afterwards had the log signed and off to the next one nearby. What a great piece of artwork, thanks for showing me this.Big Grin

This is a beautiful piece of artwork.

Like many others, I dare say I would not have come to know what it was without the cache but now I know, I will certainly point it out to others in future.

Thanks for the cache here and the fun in the find.

Passing through on the way home after our boy got his bionic ear turned on for the first time. Found after a good look at the sculpture and a quick search. Found at the point of the clue given. Put back at where the clue suggested.

Yep, log book is still full Cool

18-Oct-15
Just couldn't understand what the CO was trying to say with the clues, so we just read the suggestions by some previous cachers to use the carpark. With teamwork we made a quick find.

04-Sep-15
Tftc finally located the right spot after Gps was a bit funny

16-Aug-15
I used to live around here and never paid attention to this sculpture. Thanks for opening my eyes. The logbook is pretty full btw Smile

14-Aug-15
Really interesting sculpture, hadn't noticed it before. Log very full but squeezed in a tiny spot. Thanks for pointing out this special spot

04-Aug-15
Thanks for the cache, never noticed this great sculpture before. Log is pretty full and might be worth replacing.

29-Jul-15
Found after a careful inspection of artwork. No idea about my geography but part of the hint sent me in the right direction. Part of the log book (or another one) was on the ground. I put it in the zip loc bag with the other log books.

26-Jul-15
Great hide, we love that sculpture. Had the kids searching for it and the come up with the goods

Log book full

Just had to poke across the street for this find...

18-Jun-15
Our first cache! Feeling lots of adjectives. On to the next...

16-Jun-15
Wow! What a great sculpture, it must have taken ages to make. T took us a little while to work out where to look and with plenty of muggles about it was too risky to just keep making guesses, luckily I put my hand right on it on the second attempt. We would never have seen this sculpture if not for your cache, so thanks for nringing us here and thanks for the cache.

16-Jun-15
Desperately needs a new logbook, the existing one is in shreds.

08-Jun-15
Silkyie still on the 'Richmond Run' Geochild took the hint seriously and came up with the goods. TFTC

31-May-15
Tftc went up and down levels but finally retrieved the cache

29-May-15
Found it after previous attempt when I didn't know what to look for. In need of a new log book

24-May-15
Found second time round while i was at hoyts.

23-May-15
Found this one a few months ago but didn't have a pen. Great mural, which is sadly under-appreciated. Stumbled on the cache quickly after putting in the hard yards previously. TFTC and art appreciation.

23-May-15
Gps is useless

26-Apr-15
Great cache, introducing us to an intriguing sculpture. Really enjoyed looking at the sculpture and comparing it's route of the Yarra to google maps' rendition on our phones. This behaviour made for a strange, yet hopefully believable antic for the benefit of the many (many!) muggles that walked by. Finally (with the help of the hint) we discovered the cache. Special thanks to xelanhoj's informative log on 9/4/15. Without it, I almost certainly would have climbed, slipped, hit and bled too Smile - hope you mended well!

14-Apr-15
Thanks for the introducing me to this sculpture – been passed here a few times and never really had a good look at it before.

Needs a new log.

09-Apr-15
Do not try to do this one from behind the wall. You slip, you hit your head and bleed... plus its unnecassary...

08-Apr-15
Wouldn't have found it without the hint. Thanks!

04-Apr-15
Nice quick find Smile good hint. Tftc Smile

Pretty inaccurate gps but instructions were good, found with Callum

25-Mar-15
Been shopping at the "Big Blue Box" and after picking my goods my their nearby warehouse, I walked over to look for this one. Wouldn't have found it without the help of the Hint because it is located more than "a few metres" from where my GPS was indicating GZ to be...still, it was a find and that was the main thing...especially as it meant only eight more days to go to fill my 366 Day Caching Calendar...pity 29th February is one of those days!

Thanks to The Farmers 5 for putting this cache out.

01-Mar-15
All this week i have been riding home late at night and collecting a cache or two along the way. Other than its harder to search at this time of night. I am loving it. No one around to bust me and no traffic on the road. Makes for quick finds. Cheers

At 11pm at night i had enough time to properly stop and look at the map here. The gps was all over the place but hint is spot on. Once i got my bearing the cache was soon in hand. Great hide.

22-Feb-15
I looked from the outside, I looked from the carpark but my old eyes failed me on this one. An impressive piece of art. Thanks for bringing me here.

15-Feb-15
Parked in the car park nearby to do a couple of caches. The GPS had me in the middle of the road but the location was obvious. I went along and around hte back before reading the hint and the cache page. I may have misinterpreted the hint because I was looking further down than I should have been. Eventually I saw it and was able to retrieve. Thanks farmers5

Some of my best acting work to date! I put on an elaborate charade suggesting I needed to climb around the place to get phone reception. Had to sit around talking to myself for a few minutes before I could pull off the grab. Never got to see the actual sculpture Sad Thanks!

17-Jan-15
After my companion and I spent 10 minutes counting and comparing bridges we finally had the brilliant idea just to look in from the car park! A quick grab and we had this one in hand. I absolutely loved the mural and would never would have appreciated it without someone to guide new there. Thank you The Farmers 5 for being that guide! Smile

#2941 - 11:30; In Melbourne for a few days after a trip home to Tassie and picking up a few more caches while I'm in town. I seem to remember mentioning my love of shopping in earlier logs and today reminded me why. The geogals wanted to come to Bridge Road, Swan and Chapel Streets to check out the retailers, so I came along to make sure they arrived safely and then headed off on a much longer walk than I had bargained for. This was the third of fifteen, comprising 14 finds and a single DNF. I initially walked straight past GZ, before doubling back, checking out this great piece of art and making the find. Once the required feature was identified, the find came quickly. Log signed, the cache was replaced as found and I was off again for more. TFTC the farmers 5 Smile

14-Jan-15
Out an about on the bike so I thought that I would grab a few caches on the way. I have never really noticed this so thanks for showing it to me. TFTC.

13-Jan-15
Attempted with PJ of PJ and ME. We spent ages at this one, hoping perhaps this might become my default 1000th hide. There was even a trek back to the car left near Nothin Leica Dame to find a map that had the right bridge on it. But alas, we were unable to find it today. Such a shame. Thanks for bringing us here! Will forever remember the great Yarra mural!

13-Jan-15
Awesome mural. Glad you brought us here. Quick find, follow hint to avoid muggles.
