Entry to GZ is now blocked by a high fence and locked gate, and the cache, if still there after the reconstruction works, is inaccessible.
Sadly, I can confirm WTF's (that's "Wests Tigers Fan" ) concerns.
Was returning to Sydney via the 'old road' so stopped at this spot to see about this cache.
The fence is a complete construction - I guess they really don't want anything (or anyone) falling onto the motorway.
Perhaps this cache should be disabled (or archived even) pending re-establishment.
Cache well.

After being questioned about this one and hearing that a a cacher had been there semi recently and had said that it was missing but had not logged it for others to see, I decided to go have a look and find out what's going on.
I arrived at the spot to find a fence that I had guessed last time might end up being erected. There is a hole there for the gate (which they obviously don't have yet) so I was still able to make it down to GZ.
After ripping my best and favourite jumper on the fence (not happy) I checked on the cache and can confirm that it is no longer there. My guess is that the workers removed it.
Unfortunately once the fence is finished there won't be a way to get to GZ anyway so this one will most likely end up extinct

Was going past on the bike today so stopped to show a mate the spot.. The old ladder has been removed and there is a new set of stairs built on the opposite side of the road (same side of bridge though). There is some bunting up and a sign saying "construction zone" but that's easy enough to navigate... A quick walk down the stairs and you're at the GZ.. As I was with a muggle I didn't check to see if the hide is still there but I'd be surprised it has been spotted by the council workers..
Not sure whether they are eventually going to put a locked fence up here stopping access to the area. I'd suggest you grab this one before they do!!

There's no access to the cache, if its still there.
This needs to be disabled until construction work is finished and CO can check on it.

DNF. No ladder anymore and construction zone. Just like mccandanam said. But we will be back.

I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand. Today I was on a day trip to Newcastle, from Sydney, to attend a show. The cache turned out to be a lot easier than I initially made it for myself! After standing at GZ and thinking about the hint more, it fell into place and the cache was soon found! TFTC!

An unexpected stop while collecting caches for a Well travelled caching challenge in Victoria. The terrian rating caught my eye. On approach thought there was another cacher but this was just a curious muggle resting from riding his push bike at GZ. A fun hunt and a surprise quick find, nice. [^] Great views too.

Backdating to Sunday - I knew I'd forgotten something! Easy find this. Even in the rain lol. Climb nowhere near as bad as I was anticipating. Enjoyed the view and a quick find. TNLN TFTC
What a rush! An easy find after trying to get to the location. That was scary and exhilarating at the same time. Awesome. Tftc.
Last cache on a rainy afternoon.
I love how geocaching can give you knew perspectives on things that you've seen many times. I've driven under the bridge many times, but have never examined its footings quite so closely
Also enjoyed the drive on the Old Pacific Highway from Brooklyn - have never been on the road before. Felt like a 'holiday' road.

Will come back again. Great spot, but far too slippery when wet. Victory will be mine and vertigo to match.
After an epic day out at Somersby Falls, I wanted one last yahoo, and this one seemed quite doable.
Misunderstanding the description, we ascended to the cliff section on the side of the road, hopping constantly on the bull-ant covered ground. Coming close to edges plummeting down to the freeway below, we were all feeling a little uneasy, and the cache was still 10 metres away.
Confused, we read some past logs to discover that the cache was actually below the road, not above. So down we went and then down the rungs I headed. At the height of the family's frustration I popped my head up on the other side, still with no cache in hand, although after a little more searching I uncovered the container, which had been hiding sneakily out of my grasp.
The views from below were great and the cache was a nice fun mini-adventure. Although the terrain really is not a 4.
Thanks AlienRiders.

Missed out in 2012 (14Sep) when we stopped by here in approaching dusk with Mr Gaztek not really happy about descending to GZ and then hitting his head and trashing his eyeglasses. Cranky, eh? Anyway we are in full sunlightt today. Even 40 degree temperature. Mr Gaztek still not really happy about the descent as he's not very comfortable with heights. The cage and rung style doesn't help. But we did winkle this guy out of his hiding place. Took a few photos, marvelled at this location. Certainly would not be here but for geocaching. A favourite from us. TN L the German Mission Koala TB SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
The number of years caching and it took me this long to do this one? On many occasions I have wanted to come out this way, however there was always a reason why it just never happened. But today was the day, returning from a camp on the old Pacific, stopped to do this one. Shortly after running across the road and descending to GZ, had the cache in hand. TFTC!!!!
One thing i really shouldnt have done was look at the photos for this one. it kinda spoiled it but still a great cache none the less. definitely one of my favourites. TFTC!!

I'm giving my vertigo a work out today!
What a great cache.
Could see the TB in the cache and it's not on the inventory.
Will research it more and possibly return.

Well, if that isn't one of the noisiest yet solitary locations I've visited.
I really wasn't sure what to expect as I approached GZ, but it all became obvious soon enough... I made my way to purgatory for a cache and a few happy snaps.
Great location, thanks for bringing me up here for the birds eye view.

As it was Mrs C's birthday we decided a day caching in the Sydney area would be a grand way to spend it on this gloriously sunny Winter's.
Mr C was the one who wanted to climb to this one. It was dark when we got here but there was plenty of light rushing below us! Mr C wandered about looking at the view before searching for the cache. A favourite point from us for the challenge and the view!

Just had to come back for a look when the day was busy and show the other half why it earns one of our favorite points.
TFTC. One of those special Geocaching kind of places. I would not want to be short of leg. It after all just one step.
Ducked out once the rain had cleared to grab this cache to keep my current streak alive. Parked in the nearby rest bay and walked back the short distance...it took me a few moments before it dawned on me what I was supposed to do, and a moment more to actually decide to do it. I went for it, and was glad I did, as the view was much better at GZ. I was also glad the cache was hidden in such a manner that I didn't need to go past my comfort zone at all. I would never have imagined you could get to this place - another Wonder of the Geocaching World....Wished I had brought a TB to drop in this awesome spot, but alas, had left them in the car for this one, so TNLNSL. Thanks muchly for this one AlienRiders
I got a grate photo of me and the bridge but cant upload it as mooning Mooney goers is properly not the best photo for this site

Awesome! Felt safe the whole time and cache easily found with the hint. This one really made me smile. I also had an explore of the equivalent section on the other side of the bridge, which is easier to access.
Signed log and left a "For Those About To Cache" geocoin and a toy clapper. Gave the cache a favourite point - thanks AlienRiders!
The area is now accessible from Somersby - I remember some years ago the road at Leask Creek was closed, but all is good now.

After finding nearby Mooney Valley micro and still waiting for Dof E hikers (yes they were 2 hours late) we did a quick dash up the road to check this one out. Wow - what an amazing view! Really scary being that close. We looked everywhere and did some vertical searching on various levels but still couldn't find it. Thought it might be easy but it truly stumped us (or else it's missing). I'll watch this as I'm curious now and will return if someone else finds it soon. Thanks for the fun anyway!
We were heading north to the Hunter Valley for a wedding and grabbed this cache on the way.

Was going to pull over but there was a cop 10m away. Had to make up the excuse that we let through a faster car.
Sounds like fun and will hopefully be back.

I'm not a fan of heights but went down anyway for a quick find. Thanks. Took Pathtag
Amazig spot for some photos! Though did have my first encounter with motorbike cop asking me if I was going to jump off Haha. TFTC, challenging find but obvious once you find it. Left a Geocoin and took some ear buds for the upcoming sound wave festival.
Having failed on the cache I really really wanted earlier today, I decided to drop by this one which constantly taunts me whenever I drive on the F3. I didn't realise it was terrian 4 until I started reading it in detail. Thankfully I'm not afaird of heights and the weather was kind. Great hide - and very NOISY! Giving this one a fav point.
Second time here dont know how it was missed the first time but found in a snug spot Thanks to AlienRiders
Went way beyond my safety zone on this one despite the clue, I just thought it was going to be harder, it wasn't. Just think we'll hidden, but very safe.

Mrs G is a bit incapacitated so Mr G had to do the climbing duties. Unfortunately Mrs G sent him up instead of down to start off - and he's not a lover if heights. Oops! Checking logs and photos got us back on track but Mr G still had to be the climber. After some poking around with no luck and a bang of the head as he came under some part and with Mrs G shouting down, "Found it yet?", nothing appeared so we threw in the towel. But not before admiring the very different and pretty noisy outlook. We'll be back. Cheers... Gaztek
Wow - what a great place to hide a cache. My new Garmin Oregon 450 placed me right at GZ.
To celebrate this my 200th cache find, I will award a "Favourite".
Congrats AllenRiders on a well thought out and placed cache. It is certainly is not going to suffer at the hands of Muggles.

#515 We went for a hike in Brisbane Water National Park. We did the Piles Creek Loop. After the wonderful hike, we went to look for this cache. It was scary at first looking down the steps. But I've done scarier climbs like the climb up the Pemberton karri tree in WA. And at least with this one, there's a fence preventing you from falling. Still did it with extra care. One of the most adventurous caches I've ever done. TFTC!
Found this one with nic lucky I had her as I have a huge phobia of heights I did brave the ladder and stood and waited left some ear plugs u might need them lol thanks for the amazing cache
Great spot, took a few goes to locate. But after reading recent logs we figured it out!
This was a cool one. The views were great but the location of the cache was better. TFTC AlienRiders

What a great spot for a cache. It took some time to find as the spot we suspected it would be, was the place we didn't want to reach into. After we exhausted all other options there was only two spots left to look, Gulp - time to toughen up. Luckily we got it first go of the last two spots. Had a blast, TFTC.

I had tried this cache previously and came upempty handed. Some time ago the CO confirmed I was in the right place, however due to having a broken foot I have not revisited this cache for about 2 months. After getting the foot brace off recently I thought I would give it another go on the way back from Warners Bay tonight.
I really loved the location for this cache, made even more attractive doing it at night. Having a climbing background meant the descent was no issue, but standing there watching all the traffic below, still got the blood pumping. Would recommend this at night for the extra atmosphere and excitement.
Quickly located the cache container.
Many thanks to AlienRiders for keeping this great cache going. I hope you too have recovered from your injuries.

At last I was able to stop at this cache. I have driven underneath here countless times on the freeway and every time I've looked up and thought "I'm coming for you!!" Well today was that day. I waited for Geotooter to arrive before making the descent. I knew there was a climb involved and at first found the ladder to be a little daunting. Undeterred I pressed on with Geotooter following. The cache location was soon discovered and we both signed the log. The area was a little damp from all the rain but it didn't present any problem. What a fabulous location this is and I certainly enjoyed the adventure of it all. Thanks AlienRiders for adopting this cache and keeping it going.
