Elina_maree needed a point boost for the Cosmic Quest so I suggested we take our bikes and do as many caches as we could along the Bulimba Creek Bikeway. It was a ridiculously hot winter's day but we pushed on and ended up finding 41 caches all up (with 4 DNFs).We were both excited to find this oldie along our path today. It was a bit further into the bush than the others but a nice easy find. The bag was busted and there were a number of tatty logs inside. I put them all in a new bag along with a new logsheet. Thanks for the cache Freaky Geeky!
35th cache for the day. Thanks! Brissy Cat added a new log book and baggie because neither were in great shape. But cool cache design. That and this caches age warrants a favourite from me!
14/7/2024 Find #7090Todays plan was one of mischief, with KBreeAHH and cosmonaut97. We kinda had a plan in mind. But that can always change! This was our third cache of the day, and we made our way, chatting and giving each other grief in our usual style. The poor log was very wet - we made our mark but its fragile! Thanks for the cache Freaky Geeky.
Found with 1minniemoo and KBreeAAH during our Sunday Shenanigans. Had a great day out and enjoyed all of the caches we found. TFTC.
Today i decided to take my Ebike out here to enjoy a ride and find some smileys. All up i found 13 caches and only 1 DNF. I also met the Oztrackers on my way and we found a few caches together which was really nice. I loved the ride and all up spent around 3 hours .It was great to take my bike on this dirt path and once at GZ i soon spotted something different and sure enough it was the cache. Great hide and nice old cache. Thanks Freaky Geeky for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
BrizBlitz (The Commemorative cache)Out with geopup today collecting some oldies for my Q500 challenge. Love the camo, log signed, all replaced as found. A fav point here.TFTC Freaky Geeky# 10152CheersWillis007
After finding Powerful Stuff, I looked to see what was nearby that I hadnt found. Another old one - that sounds good. I drove up Tones Road and parked the car, then wandered down the path. I saw a sign about koalas, so I looked up and there was a koala having a good scratch! What a bonus! Ive rarely seen them in the wild. Leaving the path, I headed into the bush to gz. At about 5m, I stopped and looked around, then saw something that could be a cache and it was! Fantastic camouflage. Log signed and replaced as found. A fp for the great outer and the experience of seeing a koala. Tftc
Regarding our bike ride, we left our vehicles at the Broadwater Picnic Area, and we rode a total distance of 13.1 km across an elevation of 105 m, with a moving time of 1:00 hr and elapsed time of 2:40 hr, as per my [Strava record](https://www.strava.com/activities/10508615391). It was an enjoyable ride along Bulimba Creek Bikeway which had plenty of shade. Power trails are mentally exhausting by vehicle, but that is completely contrasted by bike.My phone was about to die, but there were a couple of additional geocaches that I wanted to find on my bike ride, and alas, I just had to settle with this one (as it was down to 2%). A short walk from the bike path, and I thankfully managed to get a reasonably quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and awesome constructed camouflage too. In addition, I didn't even realise that it was a Q500 cache, so that was an unexpected bonus! Thanks Freaky Geeky for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 09/2006 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.----------This morning, following a catch-up at the [Coffee Aminya Caches Helluva Event](https://coord.info/GCAHGJG), baby Cottontail and I joined [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) by bike to ride the newly published Bulimba Bikeway Bison Bash (BBBB) series. It was the third section, and we rode north from Mount Gravatt-Capalaba Road to Pine Mountain Road. It was Goldilocks weather, and ideal to be on the bike before heating up in the afternoon.
Yesterday, I was supposed to be flying to Bali. After 5 hours at the airport, I ended up on The Dark Side instead. Our flight to Bali was delayed, then delayed, then cancelled. Instead of going back up to the Sunny Coast, I stayed with friends instead. While they were out picking up some bits and pieces, I went caching. I didnt have much time, but from their place, I wandered down to the park and then around further to find this cache.Nice work on the hide, which has obviously kept it safe and sound for a fair while. Thanks, Freaky Geeky, for the good work here.
Looked around for 30 minutes and couldnt find it Even with hints from previous comments wonder if my GPS was way out??
Slipped across to the dark side and found this bad boy. On the walk to GZ I stopped to talk to a lady taking pictures of a koala & Joey climbing a gumtree. By the time I got there it was a speck in the high tree. The pictures shed taken were a bit awesome... I digress!!!Cache was found quickly in the only real spot that I could see. It was a great hide.
TBU2Uwe001 and I went to an event nearby and stopped here for an Oldie but Goldie.
We spotted not only the awesome cache, but also a Koala!
Unfortunately I have no fav points left at the moment, but I attach a Koala photo.

Glad I've seen a few of these...otherwise so well hidden I wood v once been defeated & T4TC:-)
I have become a lazy fat so and so. So in an effort to up my step count, on a slow Sunday morning, I looked to some southside hills for a bit of exercise. After a climb all over the Belmont bushland, I figured it would be rude not to collect the last few caches in the area whilst I was here.
I spotted this old one, which predates my first cache find by about 5 years, nearby and quickly added it to the list.
A nice walk along well formed bike paths today and soon enough my name was added to the list. All in good order here. TFTC Freaky Geeky

This one required the use of geocaching skills acquired over the years. I can't believe we actually found it, such a good hide!
Didn't sign the log book as forgot a pen, but took a photo as proof if required.

I was on the Southside delivery parcels. I was having a short break. Is there any caches around, of course yes.
I quickly found the cache.

For some reason my reception was bad today, but it's still here equal distances between the path and the power lines
Caching adventures with Team Barritts for a few hours. Found in good condition with no troubles, tftc!
Nice stroll into GZ, with a quick find as I have some similar hides myself back home in WA. Fav for the effort, TFTC!
After today’s event, I headed off with no particular plans. It was just a drive around and see what is in the area. Looking at the map, I saw a lab that I still needed to complete, a few trads of interest and then a few older caches as well.
The bush walk was great, it was nice to get out and enjoy the trails on my own and with no one around I really got to enjoy the serenity of the bush. The trads I got were just as I was passing and cleaning up little areas. I was happy with a couple of older caches in the mix and a few newer ones too. Bonus for today was there was no DNF’s.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches today, all logs were signed and all were replaced as found.

The geocashe was amazing and very Sneaky! I swapped a loomband necklace with another rubber band bracelet.
Down in Brisbane chasing old caches for the Jasmer grid. A nice walk to the GZ and started to look around, found the cache out in the open. After signing duties I put it back in its proper place. Tftc Freaky Geaky
After attending a nearby Geocaching event this morning, we came by with a couple of Geocaching friends to collect this oldie.
A short walk with a very happy geo pup, and we soon had this log signed.
Thanks Freaky Geeky

After attending the Slacks Creek CITO this morning, then a school reunion catchup, I was on my way home and thought I would grab this cache to finish off my Solar System Wonders as well as finding another oldie.
On my way from Wynnum, the rain started falling quite heavily and when I arrived at the parking spot, it was coming down quite hard. Waited a little while until it eased up a bit, so with umbrella up, I started walking to GZ. Thunder was happening and I started wondering if I should abort the search but 150m away was just too close to miss. Continued to GZ where after a bit of GPS bounce, I located the clever hide. SL then returned as found.
Rain coming down again, so when I got to the car I was wet up to my knees from sideways rain.
Now to get home and take off my wet clothes.
Thanks for a great commemorative cache. A fav point from me.

Needed to find some caches to complete the Wonders of the World - Solar System Wonders Level and this one had the Asteroid Belt and the closest one where the CITO event was (actually near the tree climbing cache after the event. Lol). Yay!
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Freaky Geeky. Enjoyed the adventure. Quick find, Snickerallan had her geoeyes with her today. She spotted the cache quite easily.

Trust the GPS, and yes "rock on". Turn it over... I found one like this recentky but still looked under and walked on until I read through the logs.. headslap indeed! Creative hode involving skilful preparation!
Last find for the day... it was a previous log that allowed me to find this hide relatively quickly... tftc...
Thanks for placing this little beauty. Was so excited to find this creative hide. GPS was a little off but we were determined to find it. Checked recent finds and worked out a plan of attack.
Walked past it the first time, circled around and looked for anything that looked out of place. There it was in plain view!
Nearly ran into a few kids mountain biking through the area. Had to quickly duck for cover!
All is good with the cache. Signed and left as we found it.

I love what a bit of experience can do. Walked into the Bush - following a Geo trail and straight to GZ. TFTC.
Was a little hard to find but a really fulfilling adventure. It was me and my friend’s first geocache ! Hope to find more soon
Despite the rain, I headed out to find a few caches. This one took waaay longer too find than it should have! Perseverance paid off and I eventually had the cache in hand. After signing the log, I headed off to continue my rainy afternoon adventures. TFTC
