Alas a DNF for us. Pretty sure we know where it is but we couldnt get it to sign. Thanks anyway for showing us this place.
Meh, nothing here, maybe some sticks, no cache though. Pity, it's a good location.

We tried to retrieve it from where we thought it was but I think previous 'triers' ruined that plan.
In the Gong with buddies who ARE NOT geo minded at all. Quick visit quick enough find and ditto from below
Found the log but could not reach it as it's fallen down too far. Needs to be replaced with a new one.
DNF although I have a pretty good idea where it should be there was nothing there. Suspect this has vanished.
A couple of folks not able to find this and the obvious spot is missing a couple of bits so maybe the owner could come and check.
A lovely park but couldn’t find this one. Used my nails but nothing was in there and cap missing off one side. Might not be in the right place but my compass said I was. Love Wollongong. I’m from Newcastle
Got it. Retrieved it actually. No pen so didn’t sign but have photo with cannon & Illawarra Leagues club in background.
TFTC! Due to some business of part of the team I had a whole couple of hours to roam around this area in Wollongong. I started here and found the log really quick but, as mentioned by a previous geocacher, it is dropping into the abyss. I was halfway on my way to retrieve it when policemen came to the area to talk to some people who were drinking on the benches. As I was compromised, I took a picture of it and left it where it was, before they thought I was being suspicious! It requires some kind of long tool now to get it out of its hiding and it seems to be slipping down
This is the first time I have to log a DNF having actually seen and touched the logbook. TFTC!!!

I worry about this one falling into the abyss. There is not container to speak of, just the log sitting there alone. Just wondering if there is supposed to be something else. That being said, log is dry and in a fair condition. TFTC
What a beautiful memorial. After finding the cache we walked around and read all of the plaques. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the hide.
Found with family and friends tonight after dinner. Signed as (can't quite remember the order) PECTBLL, a first initial of each one in or group. T was the one to make the find. My phone died just before we arrived at GZ but she just walked right up to it and, BINGO!

Close by for SES duties and decided to get a quick smile. Couldn’t sign due to nearby muggles taking interest in the media around us but have photo as proof
Yes the lid is missing! Probably at the bottom of the hide. A magnet could retrieve it. Kutgw
De E1k had some errands to do in Wollonggong, meanwhile I went for a walk to discover the area and grab a few geocaches. This was one of them.

Today I decided to explore my new hometown by doing some Geocaching.
This one was a quick and easy find and finally gave me the chance to visit MacCabe Park.
Thank you so much for bringing me here

We have travelled down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the Wollongong area for the April school holidays, camping in our Jayco Swan Outback camper trailer at the Corrimal Beach Tourist Park. Today we were off to do some shopping in the Wollongong CBD, and then visit the Wollongong Harbour precinct, and collecting caches along the way. This was our 5th find of the day, and 88th find of the holiday.
Arrived at the Wollongong CBD and drove around a few streets before scoring a two hour unmetered parking spot down toward the waterfront, where we left the geomobile and headed off on foot to visit some shops and collect any caches we passed along the way.
Next cache stop was at this one, and it was a quick find of a familiar hide style. Signed the log then replaced as found. It's a nice war memorial and we are pleased to be logging the cache so close to ANZAC day (tomorrow). TFTC Gribbly.

Came back for a second attempt today and the geohusband found it straight away
Great hide. There was no lid and no log so we’ve left paper inside

Tftc good hide, didn't have a pen, so this picture proves our find, logbook is full and lid is missing
On a visit to The Gong to see my mum I took the opportunity to pick up this cache. It was in the second place I looked. As per previous logs the lid on the container is missing. TTFC.
The cap on the container is missing. Log is in danger of dropping out.

14599. Found during Day 2 of a great weekend caching down in the Helensburgh / Wollongong region with specimenX and AngelG27.
A long planned weekend was finally here. Yesterday we finished off the Scouts and Helensburgh puzzle series plus a bunch of other caches. Today we generally moved south during the day grabbing some quality caches along the way. This was the next find for the day. Parked nearby and walked up for the search. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and we were on our way to the next one. I'm glad the Gun was fenced off !
Thanks to all the CO's for their caches - very much appreciated !!

Off we go for another geomission! fitzy_1965, AngelG27 and I were off in the geomover to descend on the Illawarra region to knock off the Helensburgh puzzle series and whatever others we could nab along the way. Sunny spring weather and lots of laughs made for a fun weekend of caching!
Wandered up to this one and it was on with the search. AngelG27 and I went round and round before I saw something that didn't match something else-yup! there it is!
Thanks for the hide, Gribbly

Cache 2923 on 3/9/17
Fitzy_1965, SpecimenX and I headed out on a long planned geomission to Helensburgh and Wollongong to grab a stack of solved puzzles and as-yet-uncollected traditionals. We headed up the highway from the ACT to Appin, then down the hill to Helensburgh and then made our way south. We have around 160 caches on the list, but managed to grab 90 odd yesterday. Looking to grab stacks of trads today on our second day of the mission. Unless otherwise indicated, caches were found quickly and in good order. Thanks to my geo partners in crime for a fun weekend
Quick find, new log needed.
Thanks Gribbly for the cache!

Found it with koda_bear , couldn't write on log as it is very deteriorated. Deft need nails
As indicated in my found log, the bottom half of the container is missing and the log sheet may fall out and become irretrievable.
Perhaps the CO might like to have a quick look and check out the situation.

Heading to Wollongong to see America in concert at the Entertainment Centre.
I realised that this one was only a couple of hundred metres from where we had parked for the Keira Street cache, so I wandered over to have a try at this one. A most interesting war memorial, one i would not otherwise have found, so that's an FP from me. After looking at GZ carefully, I realised that one of these things is not like the others, making this one a quick find.
The bottom half of the container was missing and a sheet of log paper was only held in place by friction. Otherwise, the cache was in good condition. We signed the log (sometimes we sign micro logs with G&T or GT) and replaced the container as found
Thanks Gribbly for the cache.

Not sure if it contains the original log, but there is a note from a drunk cachet in there
Out for a walk to collect some caches while my car is being serviced. What a lovely War Memorial with lots of plaques to read while contemplating where the cache is hiding.

Today I made the area of northern Wollongong unsafe with my geocaching activities. 23 finds, six GCA ones, two puzzles. A good time was had by all! Errr me.
Quick find after spotting the out-of-place thing. Bottom half is missing btw.

Nicely hidden. Once located it was easy to make the grab inconspicuously. Log is getting pretty full. Sorry I didn't have a replacement. TFTC!
When finding this bad boy it was easy to be sneaky. Great hide. Take a favourite. The lid is missing, Log in poor state too. Thanks
TFTC! Nice place for one! However the lid is missing from the container meaning the only thing holding the logs in is the pressure of the rolled paper. Needs attention.
Found it! It does need some maintenance though as the lid for the bison is missing and the papers only just hanging in there.
This is in desperate need of TLC by the owner. Sorry had nothing with me to help it today.

A day-trip on a beautiful earlier summer day to go caching in The Gong (and a few en route). Tally for the day 14.

This is the 11th find of the day.
As mentioned by the previous finder, the cap/lid is missing from the container but the log seems to be staying put even in its orientation.
Might need a new cap.

Found after a day out and about in The Gong with Halcyon123. Took a little figuring out, and a couple of tries at the likely spot, but then had CIH. TFTC!
A reasonable quick find once our geosenses kicked in. Definitely needed fingernails. Looks like the cap for this micro has gone walkabout but log is still jammed into the container.
Found with Lpud after being distracted by a local that told us to look at something unrelated. Clever hide TFTC
Visiting town for the MS Sydney to gong ride.
After a bit of shopping BomEm and i, wondered if there were any caches on the way back to the hotel.... checked the app and bingo! there was one within 100 meters.
We made our way across the almost deserted park and past a local having a quite beer sitting in the sun.
We started our search and suddenly our muggle mate having his beer shouts out "check the tires!"
Doubting his cacheing credential we ignored his advice and continued our search.
After a minute or 2, we realised it wasn't gunna be too simple.
BomEm checked the logs and pointed out a potential clue..gotcha!! Very nice hide indeed!!
As peeviously noted the bottom of the container was missing, but the log was still in place.
Great location and cache!!
Gets a fav favorite from me.
