We are not normally big fans of multicaches but we complete one here and there. This one was nice and easy and we were pleasantly surprised to see the size of the final container as we like to leave trinkets. We left a toy puzzle, a boredom buster bracelet and a pen bracelet. TFTC arlorggen

Was out & about today making the most of the holidays and picking up a few caches that I've had my eye on for a while. This was one that I stopped off at. Parking seems to now only be on Pomeroy Road so a slightly longer walk to WP1... but info was easily found once there. Then I enjoyed the walk through the bush to the final GZ and the great container. A nice easy offset multi Smile All ok here today, although the container at WP1 is getting very fragile. TFTC

Out for a drive to the Hills on a very wet public holiday Monday, the first day of Autumn too. Quickly got saturated in the, at times, driving rain. Enjoyed a hike around Mundy Regional Park, something I had not done in a while, and picked up a number of caches around the Lesmurdie area. At times I was dripping wet, but all in all an enjoyable day.

I was driving past and wasn't really intending to grab the caches here, but then made a split second decision and pulled over. Ended up walking from Pomeroy Rd near Christina Pl down to and across Welshpool Rd E, then between Tanner Rd and Moffet Rd before walking back up along the Western side of Pomeroy Rd. Had success at all of these finds.

The first stage was very cute. The second was my favourite type of cache, a nice large ammo can! All was in excellent condition. The final had a number of 'potholes' to navigate on the way to GZ. Replaced the cache as found. Cheers arlorggen, a simple and effective multi cache! Big Grin

An extended day out with B12 started the morning in Kalamunda area and then ended the day on an evening drive towards Lakelands.

Great views to start the day and a lovely cool breeze for the evening, thanks arlorggenfor placing and maintaining this cache for myself and others to find.

07-Jan-20
Headed out East of the City to the Hills areas of Lesmurdie and Kalamunda to cleanup a few caches that have been on the radar for far too long.

Managed a good few hours of caching with a dozen finds in beautiful surrounds and finding a good range of puzzles, multis and our personal favourite traditional caches.

We really enjoyed the number of vistas over the foothills areas and the central business district. Can see why many people choose to live in this part of the world.

Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Finding a few caches around the Lesmurdie area this was another find on this lovely Autumn day... Another cache that has been on our to-do list forever! We quickly found the first WP before setting off in the direction of the final Big Grin We picked our way along the tracks & had a short bush bash to the obvious feature that was housing the cache...

TFTC arlorggen [^] We have now gathered the clues for Mustard & will make the effort to find it next time we visit the area.

24-Jan-18
Nice patch of bushland. Had no trouble finding it. Tftc arlorggen.

06-Aug-17
Came in via Pomeroy rd in the 2wd. Navigated around the rocks & parked at WP1 behind the TV tower. A quick 275 m walk to the cache. I was chasing a multi after a DNF at Bear Lefts multi up Gooseberry Hill.

With a rare cold summers morn I decided to head to the hills to take advantage of the conditions.

Great place for an early morning walk. Quickly found WP1 the was off to GZ, another quick find here.
Cache in good condition. Took note of the coords and was on my way. Fav point award, TFTC.

Heading home, enough light left to grab a cache.
Decided To grab the first of this pair of cases tonight I'll be back for pepper later
Parked the designated parking spot and made my way to waypoint one where the hint was found very quickly
From there it was a brief walk to the final location and finally finding an ammo can again. I grab the travel bug to continue its journey
Log signed and I return back to my car to head home

arlorggen - jinta29 found your cache Salt on 31/12/2014 7:03 am. This is my find #2585 and find #6 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

24-Aug-14
Found it. A beautiful day for a walk.

12-Aug-14
What a day, starting with this cache-what no pen - there'll be one in the cache [true but there was one in my pocket - my good one]. Found first WP, just like Pepper. Like Pepper the lid wouldnt come off.
Now the GPS goes flat, but I have a phone. I moved through the bush until the coords matched and there was the cache.
Nice cache all good.
Get the coords for Mustard. Go get new batteries.

30-Jul-14
Comming up on 800 finds and it was suggested that I attempt Mustard for the milestone but first I need Salt and Pepper.

Parked up at the suggested parking and made my way to waypoint one which was found quite easily, love the container although the its getting a bit rusty and the lid is quite hard to get off.

Grabbed the co-ords for the final and had a nice stroll to GZ and a quick find of the ammo can. This is another great area in the hills, thanks for bringing me here.

Out exploring with K.B. and we stopped at this cache during our travels. Thanks for the cache.

06-Apr-14
I am generally not a fan of this style of cache but with the explosion of micro caches in the bush in this area, this was a welcome change in size and style of cache. The WP has no surprisingly rusted but all is otherwise in great condition. Thanks arlorggen.

16-Mar-14
Dropped off geo-hubby, Mr iluvtrekking and JacobsCrew at the Reserve to do the caches in the area while Mrs iluvtrekking and I cached elsewhere. Thanks arlorggen

Beautiful weather with another big caching day with Richlinks and Iluvtrekking, in the hills this time, enjoyed this one too and looking for to Mustard. TFTC

03-Mar-14
I was planning to do some caching in the Karragullen area today, but decided to hit Lesmurdie instead when I read the description on Mustard, which I thought was going to be first on the list.

Arrived in the designated parking spot for Salt and made way to the waypoint - spotted the hiding spot quickly and made the grab ... a couple of muggles taking videos of each other doing donuts on a dirt bike didn't take any notice of me as I plugged the final coords into my GPSr.

Made a quick find on arrival at final GZ, though my GPSr took me on a big loop around GZ before settling. Grabbed the coord I needed for Mustard, signed the log and dropped in a path tag. Thanks for the hide arlorggen ... did a couple of other caches in this area before heading off to Pepper

Today was spent with Mistraluna caching in the Kalamunda and Mundaring areas ! My apologies in advance for the generic logs, however:
I loved the locations, the views , the wildflowers, the scenery and the company. Also the walks and that some of the caches were quite old . What a great variety Big Grin SL TFTC Arloggen

10-Oct-13
Out today with Luna Maya in the drivers seat. Had originally intended making it out to Northam, but discovered there were soooo many caches around the Kalamunda/Mundaring area just waiting to be found. Hadn't uploaded any of the multis, but couln't not stop and grab this one. Great area of bushland. Imagine it would be beautiful once all the vegetation has recovered from the last fire. Thanks arlorggen

16-Aug-13
Nice quick finds! Co-ordinates were spot on! Remembered to collect the East Co-ordinate for Mustard, but that will be for another day! TFTC Arlorggen!

16-May-13
Out and about with AmstradKid for a caching run in the Kalamunda hills. After having a burger at a local deli, we decided that the burger needed some Salt and Pepper, so off we went to chase the aptly named caches. A lovely walk in a pretty bush area and the 1st WP was soon found, the necessary co-ords plugged in and off we went to find the final. SL TFTC arlorgen

Found cache without much trouble but getting the lid off was. Rusted on hard. Sorry but had use screwdriver to remove. Hope I didn't damage too much.Lid went back on ok but will need a new container at some stage. Then joy off to second level. The area from the road looks uninviting but looks are deceiving.TFTH enjoyed the walk. Now Pepper.

05-May-12
Didn't really get much time to look, huge bee hive in the area so didn't stay long

I finally found it, but it's jammed tight. Good fun though.

06-Jun-11
First for the morning in a day of caching.
Since I was planing a hike near Munday Brook I thought I'd try for Mustard.
The first way-point had me guessing for a while. But soon I had it in hand (co-ordinates spot on) and then was on to the final location.

It was an easy find in the end and was glad to get the first set of co-ords for Mustard.

Found Pepper and then onto salt, got too hot so Mustard will have to wait until tomorrow. No travel bug there, TN left a wellington boot key ring. Familiar route apart from the off track bit so my 2 kelpies were at the front leading the way.

03-Oct-09
We decided to grab salt and then knock off Mustard today, Salt did not give is much trouble, but Mustard sure did, we took a wrong turn and ended up having to get a tow out of a rather deep puddle. Big Grin We gave up after getting out and will be back for Mustard another day.

I think we ran into the same Black Cockatoos the Stroopids encountered a few weeks earlier, must be a local favourite for cockatoo takeaway.

A lovely spring morning and the trail was dotted with wildflowers.

Approached this one from Pomeroy Road. Little Stroopid eerily made all the correct turns and took the right trails- he is turning into a real geocaching mutt with an internal GPSr! Easily found waypoint1 and some beautiful black cockatoos noisily welcomed us as made for the GZ.

Left Speilbank TB - not quite west...but hopefully will get it on its way.

THanks and we look forward to mustard soon!

Cheers,

Ah, two part multi. That explains it. We found the container and saw the next coords and figured it out from there. Nice little walk around the Ch 10 tower. We wanted to move on to the Ch 10 tower walk cache but we were risking being late for the geocaching BBQ so we left it for another day.
