Hi this cache has had multiple DNFs and last found over a year ago. I have messaged the owner and had no reply. I believe it should be archived. Thanks.
Low tide tick! pushed our way thru the long grass tick! solid ground tick! made our way to GZ with rebel98 and gorby and .........
no cache to be found, then we spotted all the DNF and had to walk away without the smiley. Would have been an awesome island adventure, maybe next time

No go today.. 3 sets of eyes looking. Rebel98, rustynz and myself are caching for a 3 day weekend in Napier.
Got to GZ according to my GPS but no cache to be seen. May be worth owner checking it out. Thanks.
A big chunk of land has been washed away off the peninsula. I think the geocache has gone with it
Looked for low tide before coming here and got very muddy feet - which was fun
Cleaned the cache (took out the rubbish and added swaps) and was surprised how dry and in good conditions the logbook is.
Big thanks for making us walk over!! We were laughing the whole time

Unfortunately I left my camera at home when I headed out today. If I had it, there'd be photos attached. I'm not sure how close it was to low tide, but I decided that just-over-knee deep water was better than a 1km detour, so I took off my socks and shoes, LEFT THEM ON THE BANK, and walked through the mud to the island. My GPS had told me the cache was on the extreme end. Unfortunately when I got to the island I realized I'd made a tactical blunder leaving my shoes on the other side - blackberry! I picked my way carefully to where GPS was telling me. No sign of cache. Read the clue and sighed. It wasn't far away, but with bare feet and blackberry brambles amongst the grass .... ouch ouch ouch. Next time I'm after a cache I am going to carry my shoes across with me! Thanks for placing this cache . A favourite because of the memory I'll have of looking longingly at my shoes, debating whether to go back and get them or just carry on for a few more yards.
The Three Amigos had planned this trip over several weeks we had a lot on our to do list all the bike trails all the puzzles in town except one we haven't solved all the night trails and all the wherigos plus any trads in between. There was one thing we ran out of while here and that was time so I guess we will be back another day.
We arrived near GZ and the tide was coming in and as we didn't want to have a 1 km walk the others were getting ready to turn around but I had other ideas and started to strip I wasn't going to leave without a smiley on the map. I got to the other side and soon realised I was missing one important piece of equipment a pen so Dave tried to throw one across to me but the pen landed in the deepest part of the water . I quickly found the cache and hoped there was a pen but no pen I looked to see where the pen had floated to it was getting closer so back in the water I went retrieved the pen and signed the log T3A.
Favourite point from me as I like small adventures.

Just as well Master G was already wet and muddy as he volunteered to wade across the mud to retrieve cache. A quick find, signed and replaced. Thanks
We've had this Tauranga to Hawkes Bay trip planned for a couple of months now and this cache was all part of that great *'numbers'* plan . This was number 53 and before we'd even discussed how we were going to get this cache DC had already taken his kit off! Apparently the water was freezing but it lead to a quick find. Cheers Carla.

We had planned a trip from Tauranga to Napier area for weeks now, and this weekend was the time to get as many caches as we could find. We called ourselves "The Three Amigos" (and logged as 'T3A'), comprising of myself, Philip.Perry and Davidsonclan. Leaving at 5am Saturday morning, we knew we had a long weekend ahead of us.
We scoped out this area as we thought we had a few quick caches in close proximity of each other. We parked on the highway and found our way to the track under the bridge. When we realised that it was still 20m away from us and over 'there' we discussed options to get to it. Never mind discussing it, Bruce had already discarded his shoes and shorts and made his way through the frigid water.
Guess what Bruce forgot to take with him? Yes a pen. I hurled one in his general direction but didnt take the wind into account and the pen curled away from him into the deep water. He managed a rescue and signed the log.
Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC

Found this on a nice sunny day. Was confused for a little bit until the road revealed itself. TFTC
A quick snaffle on a morning bike ride. Left a paththag. cheers from casa del hince TFTC
It was dry enough to get to the GZ easily today. An easy find once we got there. We're taking the TB for an adventure. TFTC!
This cache is logged after we came back home (Montagnac, France) after a FANTASTIC journey in Australia, New Zealand and transit in China.
We visited a lot of cities and places and the game helped us to discover a little bit more than "normal tourists".
Thank you to all cache owners.
Merci, TFTC.

Didn't try a year ago when the water was high and I still got a wet foot at low tide today.
The boy got stuck in the mud and needed help to get out lol. We found this on low tide, perfect
TFTC!!!
TFTC!!!
Nice find, loved that we came at low tide by a fluke. Pretty cool spot and off the track!
It was coved by a bush but very well hidden till my foot kick it and heard the noise
Carefully picked our way across the rocks. Trudged through the mud to get back as the tide was out.
Ive have this unfound cache on my screen for a longtime now. With the nearby CITO event this afternoon, it was a perfect time to find this one, especially since the tide was still low. Nice quick find, which turns out to be find #1700. Great afternoon to be caching and cleaning up around the Pond area. Thanks for the cache.
Mum and Dad were out caching on a rare day off together without the kids.
Mum and Dad followed the geo-trail for a while, during which Mum had a spectacular fall. When they seemed no closer to the cache, Dad "took one for the team" and removed his socks and shoes to take a more direct route... As it turned out the cache was exactly where he chose to ascend!
Muggles passing by must have thought Dad was nuts as he made his way back to where Mum was waiting!

This was a fun one! Not too wet at low tide and cache quickly spotted by our mini geocachers! TFTC
P drew the short straw to get wet feet. Quick find once on dry land. Tftc. Thanks for bringing us here
Found after a bit of searching. East of where it said it was, but probably a more sheltered place. Cheers.
I found this cache with my Mum (sunnybunny64) earlier in the year but have only just got my own geocaching account. I’m hoping you won’t mind me back dating this find so that I can log all the ones I have actually found in my own account. Jordis – 7yrs
Tftc agree with previous comments about position and very glad the tide was out- cheers
Thanks from Gravelking
Found it together with juriga on our NZ journey.
Nice place.

A wee bit of a search was needed to find this treasure. Information in a recent log was helpful. This was an enjoyable walk.
A fairly quick find a few metres east of the coordinates, after crossing the firm mud straight over to the peninsula. TFTC
We were here last August and couldn't find it. Unless it has crept in and out of this spot, we swear it wasn't there! We remember this exact bush and the little bit of timber covering the cache. There was definitely no container there!! Same thing happened to us with another cache on the estuary the same day. It's as if someone played up, removed the cache for a while and returned it later unharmed.
Container definitely sound and dry. Signed the original logbook, did not notice GC in cache.

Bit of a mystery this one as we first hunted for it back in August with no look. Totally convinced we looked in this exact spot (obvious place). Pleased to find it this time. TFTC
Tide was out so it was easy to get to. Lucky the mud is firm so no muddy shoes. Eventually found the cache about 8m away from listed coordinates.
Lost my keys looking for this last night, found cache tonight where I had previously looked but not seen it.
Neat cache. Traded tags. Stream bed very easy to cross, much firmer than it looks!
Nice walk, but with 3/3 DNF around the estuary this morning we are getting rather cranky. Walked over the mud as it was low tide and hardly got the boots dirty. Looked in a few likely places, of which there aren't many, and couldn't find. Whether my growing bad mood was blinding me, or it's gone, like the other 2!
Pleased not to get my boots wet or muddy ... but sad at the 3rd DNF this morning. Washed away / tided up / or we didn't have cache mojo on today!!
Managed to find this one pretty quick. Had to scramble over some mud but managed to stay dry. Thanks for the cache
Wow a trackable to she my friend what else can be done with this caching addiction we have.
Nice hide.

Found on a cycle trip around the estuary. A lovely day, a nice ride and lots of interesting avian fauna.
