Archiving at request of Woolertons' Funeral Home. Please remove the container as soon as possible.
Decided to come back to this one and do a swapsie for one of the objects inside. The electrical appliance place used to be a church for a youth group I used to go to, which has moved next door around the corner. TFTC.
This was a really cool cache! Good for a family find, it is a simple cache that is clearly marked. Cool!
Read the hint but got a little confused then reread it and voila there it was. TFTC
Slowly heading up to Auckland to see family. Tonight we parked up at the Classic Car museum and after dinner went out for the stroll to look for the nearest 3 caches. Despite being dark managed to find all three without difficulty. The clear hint here made it a quick find. Thanks for the history and the smiley.
Over in Hamilton this afternoon with the family and then found time for a few caches at the end of the day. Nice container, good spot here, TFTC
Spending Easter weekend in Hamilton so we decided to do some geocaching. TFTC needed the hint as we were searching at the other end
I was down in Hamilton for work, staying nearby to this location. One afternoon I headed out for a drive as it was far too hot at 5pm to go for a walk (27 degrees still!).
It was a good time to visit this spot, as nearly everything was closed. However, there was a muggle sitting in his car nearby, so I waited him out and he eventually left. I found the cache quickly and removed the lollies and gum that someone had placed in the cache.

Easy Find Also Left A Mask To Commemorate This Horrible Year I Hope Everyone’s Taking Care
Came in the cover of night. Got a little spooked but we proceeded to venture on. Tyfc
A quick call-in with the CO, time to log this one under the Butterfly Team after being here many times.
We have gone down to Alert 3 in our Covid-19 lockdown, and Geocaching is now allowed, so time to re-enable the caches.
DISABLING THIS CACHE TO DISCOURAGE HUNTING DURING THE COVID-19 LOCK-DOWN. NEW LOGS AFTER TODAY MAY BE DELETED. THE CACHE WILL BE BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Saturday morning is definitely a good time to find this one, could get a few strange looks from the people inside the funeral home if you were here during the workday. Cache in excellent condition.
forgot to log when i found this, first time we went down it wasnt there but went down a couple days later and found it
Parked close by at the museum so a quick walk to gz before dinner.... thanks for the history and the cache....
Came down to Hamilton to visit the car museum with rustynz and Rebel98 and little blackbird. But also there are caches that need to be sorted and those we choose to do.
rusty made short work of this one, thanks for bringing us here.

Found quickly with the good hint. Great history about the railway houses. Thanks. With rustynz, little blackbird and gorby
Loved finding this one, so much history and a very good hint. Like these types of containers, have one at home, just not found the perfect place to put it (my precious!)
Thanks for the hide and the history radionut50 & Butterfly_Lady, with rebel98, little blackbird and gorby

I called by here two days ago but there were too many muggles around for me to have a decent look however I was surprised that I didn't see ant rocks.
We just happened to pass this site as we were leaving town this morning and called in for another look.
The place was deserted - good one.
I'm sorry to say the rock has definitely gone - removed.
There is evidence of where it used to sit but no more and the cache doesn't appear to be there either.

I found this cache particularly interesting as I own a railway cottage just 200m away. She turned 99 this year and is still in amazing condition. Long may they all survive! TFTC
Checked this cache out today - and it was missing. A new box in pace for the next find
Looked for a long time here. With the good hint I thought this would be a easy one. No luck. Could be blind lol
Thanks for the interesting info of the Railway House Factory. It does make one think of the present housing crisis doesn't it? Luckily on my visit everything was very quiet so I moved in quickly, spotted the cache immediately, had it signed and was on my way. Thanks for setting up this cache.
A quick trip across the kaimais in our caravan....We stayed across the road at the classic car place, so this made an exciting before bed find for the kids. Thanks for the story about the factory, we used to live a couple of km from here and had no idea!
#6622. I have been up in Hamilton for the weekend. Managed to get quite a bit of caching in. But today it was a work meeting from 8am to 5pm. Have to be at the airport by 6.40pm. So just time to pick up a few caches around the city before I head back to Wellington. After one missing cache and another place chocka with muggles I was wondering if I would get any caches. But drove here and soon had the cache in hand. Looked a bit exposed so either locals know about it or they are not very observant. Signed the new logsheet and replaced the cache as found. Thanks radionut50 for the cache. Interesting to read the history of this site. I reckon they could build a stack of these housing blocks in Auckland. Would use up less land and allow people living in cars and under bridges to have a decent roof over their head.
The Central North Island, Day 5: National Park - Hamilton - Auckland
It’s Christmas Day, and the end of this incredible journey through the North Island. Today’s weather was quite a mixed bag with some rain, some sun and some wind. This didn’t dampen the mood though, as we drive North through King Country and Waikato to get a sampling of the history of the region. A very productive day throughout, despite the weather, and a great Christmas Day!
The following is the specific log for each cache:
Another quick and simple drive by cache for a little history. The cache was surprisingly large for its hiding spot. Easy grab here, so TFTC!

Great little find with a friend while things were shut over the weekend. TFTC
4th geocache in 30 minutes were on a roll, thanks, great find. Trying to be discreet!
Out riding my bike around Hamilton, and picking up some caches along the way. Nice hide, cheers
We tried for this one a few years ago but only got a sad face then so it good to get the smiley
many thanks
many thanks
Passing through. Hamilton and ending staying the night in the museum car park near by ...as you always do check out for caches ...and would you look at that one a short distance away...it was very very chilly in the early morning -3 deg and white as white as I went to GZ ...this area has changed a bit since I was last here ...I can remember Frankton rail junction well ...when the trains were approaching a man would walk out, where they crossed the road and hold up a STOP sign lol a far cry from these days but that’s how it was back then ...and even earlier as you say with the railway houses ...they built thousands of them ...anyway .. I digress the cache was found all good signed and returned...it was probably to cold for muggles ha ha thanks Radionut50 for the informative cache and trip down memory lane
We had to leave the "winterless" north early and head down in our motor home to visit 93 year old mother who had an unexpected visit to hospital. We parked the night close by and I went to look for this. Got interrupted by family phone calls and ended up looking in the wrong place duh!!!!! This morning we braved the frost and went to the correct spot which of course was where the cache was!!!! Too many things on my mind. Thanks for the history lesson and cache radionut50 and butterfly_lady.
Quick find where all good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie.

Tried to be stealthily discreet to avoid people in the building to notice me. Nice hide, interesting place! Tftc
Thanks for the effort that you have gone to for making this an informative geocache. I always enjoy the ones that share some of our important NZ history. Came here late afternoon but there were lots of muggles at the nearby car museum so returned later in the evening. Thanks
It's been really interesting doing all these railways based caches. Just call me Railway Nut. We were wondering if the houses we were passing en route to the last few caches were railway cottages and now we know. Thanks for bringing us to another piece of New Zealand industrial history. TFTC
After getting over my fear I went back. Hope they don’t think I’m a body snatcher or something thanks for the cache
Out and about after our Christmas dinner. And no we didn't over eat. Saw the hearse and knew what this place was. Lol. Cache is good order. Merry Christmas and TFTC.
Tftc - 7 out of 7 today pretty pleased to have a little adventure to some interesting spots in Hamilton - up here for a week of bridge but stilll love to grab some smiles when I have a spare moment
