The cacher doing the favour recently had a significant and sad family event. A few weeks more would be appreciated.

place for a cache . Thanks anyway djcache.

We found this one last time with Nan, around January when visiting. We drove past today and stopped off to show Pop and sadly discovered it has indeed disappeared
Lovely memorial park to brave people. Found the info, did the calcs but no luck today thanks anyway djcache
Couldn't find this one. Found were we thought it should be but thinking it may have gone missing
Quite an easy find took a bit to get it out but figured out just to take the lid off. Nice park and loving the cows

Find # 2458
I had decided I wanted to visit the SPC factory in Sheparton during my five days holidsys in Nagambie. I mentioned this to Kwokka and my Geo Brother and they were more then happy to tag along. We decided to go Via Tatura and a certain Bakery that has fantastic Vanilla Slice. We also decided to find some Geocaches on the way.
This was our fourth of six for the day. We gathered the information but once at GZ, we were muggled out of the search, so we headed out for our Vanilla Slice and a coffee first. We then made our way back to GZ where we found it to be clear of muggles. The cache was a little tricky to get out, but we worked it out in the end.
Thanks to djcache for the cache.

Found the cache but there were folks around so we used the excuse to sample the vanilla slice at the bakery. Will return for the cache shortly ( but slightly fatter).
The cache was jammed tight in it's hidy hole (a little too tight we think) and required several minutes of fiddling to get it out! Still, done in complete secrecy. TFTC
Had a bit of time to kill this evening so a cache or two was the go. Enjoyed the story behind this cache. Absolutely a bloody hero. Thanks dj for another interesting multi.
Did all the calculations last night but the darkness beat us, so a 60 km trip this morning had us back again, after a short search we came up with the goods. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to remember one of our forgotten heroes
# 228 - A very nicely done cache, it was very interesting to read about Mr Mactier and his VC. The cache was a pleasant challenge, not only to find, but also to reach! TFTC djcache
found on 4/4/12 only just found time to sit down and log. Nice easy find had to be very careful of mugglers, quite a few hanging around today.tftc
Good to be reminded of our history and not let it be forgotten. Found quickly and logged, no muggles around this morning. TFTC djcache
Our first cache for the day for what hopes to be a good day as we make our way to the Oz Mega Event. Another great bit of research DJ - you must have been working up here at some stage or other. Coordinates were calculated and cache found, well hidden. I'm not absolutely sure that the cache container is standing up to the rigors of being openened and closed frequently - however, it still seems to be working at the moment.

#2445 Another great cache highlighting those that have served our nation, another very informative cache page which we enjoyed reading. Being before 9am on a Saturday morning we pretty much had the park to ourselves & enjoyed reading the several plaques at this location (we would never have known that Queen Elizabeth passed there in 1954!). Once the numbers for GZ were plugged in to the GPS, the nicely hidden container was soon located. Thanks djcache cache for an informative & enjoyable multi.
Spotted this one a couple of weeks ago, but had to wait until the area was muggle free to grab it. There's a scrap of paper in the cache for new notes, but I'll drop in a new sheet later this week (muggle dependent).

Second attempt at this one. Lucky I had #1 with me this time as I had done the calculations correctly but not transposed the figures into the coordinate.
Nice park and a good place to bring the geokids. Found after a short search. Need to think like a geocacher for this one.
The cache could do with a new log book. May drop one in next time I’m passing by. Will leave a note once done.

micheena - on approaching GZ, muggle mum and kids hit the park. Decided to have a look, using each other to block her view. There it is, but after a couple of attempts to remove it from its hidey hole, and muggle mum sending kids over to have a closer look, we decided to leave it until the cover of darkness had fallen. Soon had it out, but then struggled to get it open. A bit more prying and log was signed. Great hide.
Found with my dad Adam (Blacklegend). Nice multi with great information. Enjoyed this quick find. TFTC.
One of 9 on a half day caching with 5 of my kids (Jacqueline - Bubble'O.Bill, James, Jemma, Marindah and Natasha). Had all the littlies with me today.
Nice compact multi with some great information. Love these caches where you learn a bit. No probs at GZ, but had a bit of trouble extracting the hide, got it in the end with a stick.... TFTC.

Having to visit Tatura for some job interviews provided me with an excellent opportunity to pick up a few caches on the way home to Melbourne. At this point I would like to thank my very patient colleague for indulging me, despite the light rain, in finding this cache. We both enjoyed the opportunity to learn about his local hero. We did have a lot of trouble removing the cache from it's hiding place. The log sheet is completely full. Thanks for the cache djcache. I will have to come back to Tatura and pick up some more in the area.
Found it with Coruze.
Should have been a quick grab, but it was extended by a hard cache to open.

Visited the park twice today due to muggles - but found it on the second visit A little tricky to extract cache - but an awesome hide TFTC signed log - just - as the log sheet is quite full
Found on my way over to Shepparton. Puzzle solved easily enough and cache hide was located quickly. Container retrieved, cache logged and replaced. As per phone call Dave I will replace the full log sheet next time I'm heading over to Shepparton. TFTC
Thanks for a great lesson in war time history. First cache found as a family great fun. This advanture spark enough interest for my to inquire further and I was able to source and read two books about Tatura's war time Heroes written by local auhtor Tony Ford. Thanks for the encouragement.
Found and logged this cache a while ago but only just noticed that the log didn't go through. Found it on a nice day of caching. Had to sit and wait a couple of times as muggles came strolling by. SL TFTC.
Sorry, I forgot to log this one when I found it in late October, early November. Thought that I had already logged it. Took me a while to get the cache at this one as everytime I moved to look for it, another muggle would come along. I enjoyed the stealth aspect anyway. TFTC.
Found at 09:30 while passing through on the Great Victorian Bike Ride.

Finding cache was quick, extracting took longer. Whilst hubby went to get extraction tools, persistence paid off and I had it signed by his return. Log book full, turned page over and found some white space. TFTC and history lesson
I quickly gathered the necessary information before making the short stroll to gz,where the cache took a while to extract from it's hiding place, thankfully a TOTT was close by to help get my hands on the cache.
Didn't have any paper with me to replace the extremely full log

As mentioned in my log, the log roll is rather full - however there are still some spots near the stash note..
Tristan the Travel Turtle Tag (TTQWTC) has come for a flying visit back in time.
[I couldn't let a weekend pass and not find a cache.
I was dropping my mum off back to her place and thought I would stop by Tat to grab 1 cache on the way home.
Thought I would try for this one as I had already done For Valour (2) a few months back.
I arrived at WP1 around 5:45pm to collect the answers and made my way to GZ.
It was in the second place I looked - but took around 15mins to extract the cache from its hiding spot.
I had to disturb the nest of spiders, but had no problems with elderly muggles at this time of cool winters night. ]
I suggest a strong stick to poke downwards.
[The log is rather full, I didn't have a replacement with me.
Thanks djcache for this hide.
Corrected due to spelling.]

Great cache, my first micro, tricky. Great men from our past are good to learn about.
Another one knocked over and like the last I had trouble with the cache and getting it out of it's hide although this time it had nothing to do with the length of my arms. A few muggles about also added to the challenge.
picked up this cache while waiting for pizza from pizza shop just across the road. fantastic pizza a great history lesson AND a cache what a great lineup for a friday night,

A nice little park in the middle of town. Read all the information, collected the clues, and walked to GZ. Fortunately, the building behind was not occupied this time of the day,
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
No problems gathering the information. Cache spotted after a short search, but we could not retrieve immediately due to all the muggles in the area. After returning later the challenge was retrieving the cache. Replacing the cache was very easy. Signed the log. Thanks for the cache.
A clever hide. We had to use considerable stealth to avoid being noticed by muggles, but got there eventually.
Found it with hubby and daughters and Mother -In Law.
4th one of the day in the area. Found at 5.15pm.
Great hide, very interesting reading. We found it easily but it was hard to sign the log. Had to wait till people left so we could. My daughters enjoyed it too at the near by park.

A nice one to complete the day after ANZAC Day when it is still surrounded by wreaths. A quick find once we corrected some calculation errors. TFTC
Found at 4:15pm. On a previous visit I had collected the information required, however was unable to search at GZ because of a muggle infestation. Fortunately this trip things were much simpler, and I soon spotted the hide. hiker3 and I both had a go and eventually retrieved the micro.
Thanks djcache!

Found with Penndragons 1.30 today, group of muggles in park but they were to involved with mobile phones to notice what we were up to. Nice easy find and great history lesson. TNLN. Thanks djcache.
Found st 1.30.p.m. along with ohbeeone whilst on hols at Easter, clever hiding place. TNLN thanks for the history.
Found at 9.05pm GAFF5 in the company of Rabbitto. On arriving at the park we could see that there was a festival being set up for the Sunday and there were still people around including a security guard. At the monument we were approached by a guy who was a local historian and he filled us in on the VC private saying that no-one really knew why he did it! Later on at GZ we thought we had stuffed up and then the security guard came over and said "what about there". And "there" it was. A bit of an adventure late at night. Thanks djcache for highlighting this story.
I found our 3rd DJcache cache in the company of Pprass (and Rory the security guard) at 9:05pm as the 16th of 17 on our Shepparton Shuffle I. We got a complete review of the events that led up to the plaque at WP 1 by the local historian who was assisting with set up for tomorrows Wine and food festival. Rory the security guard was doing his job but let us into the park when we explained what we were doing and assisted on the hunt. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
Find # 2084 and 2nd of the 3rd day at 7:52am. Accompanied by Feathertop on a caching weekend to Shepparton and beyond. Easy find. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Djcache....
Tatura is very sleepy on a Sunday morning and this allowed us to find and log your cache unobserved in a very public place. Nice history too as I have previously completed Valour 2 some time ago this completed the pair. Thanks dj.
Found at 2.45pm.

#25 of 29 on day one of my Shep/Murray/Hume escapade. Gathered the info at the advertised coordinates, then the fun began. Even after I identified the hiding place it took me a few minutes and a tool to extract it. I made no exchange. Thanks to djcache for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Great history and some amazing stories here

Another nice piece of military history and a nice neat cache hide, we had a little trouble with the extraction and had to get a tool to get it out. Thanks DJ for the cache.
777 I took the time to check out the park as Acts2YG did the running around and the maths. I then headed for GZ with Eric and provided the ultimate tool that allowed us to recover the cache. We placed it back so the next finder shouldn't have the same problem. I never tire of these parks. TFTC
Just had to divert through Tatura for some vanilla slice from the bakery just up the road delicious.
Started looking for this one a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't retrieve because of the family of muggles nearby. This time I was alone and made a quick recovery.

PS. Did I mention the vanilla slice from the bakery? -melts in your mouth!

A nice easy find, but oh boy was it difficult to get the container out of its hiding spot. Luckily we didit on a Saturday - they hold a local market here on the first Sunday of each month, and it would be absolutely impossible to do it then.

Ducked out for a couple of local ones today. The better half of cdmark had to work so picked up mum and had GeoJnr onboard and away we went. Lucky I did as after poking around a nearby spot mum pointed to where she thought the cache would be and bingo! Nice hidey spot, had to return a little bit later to replace as the park was becoming popular. Filled log. TFTC djcache.

Found by Mary & David at 1630 in company with juzmac. Heading homewards after a visit to Shepparton and Barmah. After working out the final GZ, we walked there to search. Luckily, there was nobody else in sight because, although we quickly spotted the cache, we took quite a while to actually retrieve it. TNLN. Our thanks to djcache once more.
Found with Stickler our first for the day. Another one of those well hidden DJ Caches. Took a little while and lucky that the area was free of muggles.
This was another very interesting cache. It is good to see men of this character getting the credit they deserve. There must have been many more untold stories during these times of war. We found the cache second time around, it seem to have moved from where it should be. We tried to replace it as we thought it should have been but it shifted again. I do not think this will hinder the next cache finder just make it a bit harder to retrieve.
Thanks again DJ

Found by Roma and Max.
This is a very popular memorial park, particularly at this time of day.
We calculated the details required for our search and then found a couple of fellow park people relaxing only meters from GZ.
It was prudent at this time to go down town and buy some takeaway at the local Bakery, who just happen to be the current Champion Vanilla Slice bakers.
Although the park was still busy on our return we did have the search area to ourselves.
We like these type of hides, as we think along similar lines, which most times helps us make our finds.

Thanks again djcache, for this mornings searching, and in particular for this cache, our 900th recorded .com find.
