4 of us looking no cache was found maybe owner could check to see if it os still there
While enjoying a beautiful sunny day in the misty mountains and Tully Gorge Nat Pk we had a second search for this one. We were the last of several DNF’s before another cacher kindly replaced the container. Since then it has been found several times so we were sure we would be in luck this time....but unfortunately once again we won’t be getting a smiley face for this one
Despite quite a long muggle free search we eventually gave up and went for the lovely rainforest walk.
Many thanks anyway to the original hiders and Fullboar who replaced the original.

We had attempted this one seven years ago on a very wet day and had failed not only in finding the cache but also in seeing the view. Today the weather was stunning as we the view down the gorge, to top everything off we even spotted the cache which I must admit we almost gave up on. Only downside, I got bitten by one of the largest ants - boy that burnt, just adds to my day of FNQ surprises - leeches and wait-a-while and now ants. Love it up here.
thanks Bluelens

Quiet here in Ravenshoe today, threats of rain all day, so a drive into the rainforest is in order. Arrived at the lookout and started the search for GZ immediately. After Mr D (dangerman) fossicking in the forest while Mrs D read previous logs, it was decided to change direction. There it is, easy, Oh, someone else is in the car park, just near GZ. Lets go for a rainforest walk cos I don't think they are going to go away.
Started the rainforest walk ever so slowly, until they pass us. Yes they did so hi-tail it back to the carpark, where we could clearly see the cache. Signed and returned @ 1.44 on Anzac day
Thanks bluelens

I did a lot of searching battling wait-a-while, lianas and shrubbery and eventually found it in a place where I wouldn't have drawn blood
The hint now should read "on a fallen log". Magnificent views from the lookout. TFTC bluelens.

The cache seemed to be dislodged when we found it so hopefully we put it back in the right spot.
Stopped here for lunch while out on the CAFNEC Far North Wilderness ride. Today took us from Yourka Station Reserve back to Ravenshoe. Stealth Seeker had this one after we had taken 2 different approach routes.

On the CAFNEC ride. Out of Yourka Station this morning. Tully Falls was our lunch stop today on the way up to Ravenshoe for the night. Found with Ruzzelz. TFTC
after reading the last 4 logs I contacted the CO,s to see if they wanted a replacement cache left here if I couldn't find the original but received no reply so I have left a new cache and log at GZ hoping that is OK with the CO,s

After arriving in Ravenshoe this morning from Mount Surprise we dropped the van into a caravan park and then drove to the Tully Gorge National Park after visiting the beautiful Millstream Falls and Little Millstream Falls.
Unfortunately we didn't come up with the goods, but we certainly enjoyed the view from here
Many thanks anyway bluelens[^]

Very sad that we spent so much time looking for this. GPSr couldn't settle - have thought since where it may be hidden but will have to wait for another visit in years to come now.
Easy find once the muggles left. Fantastic views as always. SLTFTC TNLN Cache is in good condition
Beautiful drive up to the Gorge. And what an impressive gap down there! Cache was easily found and in good condition. TFTC bluelens.
I was having a lazy day today and took the scenic drive out to this gorgeous lookout to pickup this and a couple of 'danielc' caches along the way.
Well this cache was a nice easy find after a very short stroll from the carpark
I set to finding the cache while the place was deserted.
As soon as I uncovered the hiding spot a muggle car turned up !!
Do I grab the cache ?
Do I rehide it and wait ?
Either way I was stuck here until the muggles left [:o]
"Oh I do hope they haven't brought a picinic."
It was my lucky day and they turned out to be "come and go" muggles
They wandered down to the lookout, took the photo, and left [^]
BORING !!
Ok! I quickly opened the cache signed the logbook and rehid it
All is well with this Gorgeous Cache.
Ah !! The good old days of geocaching when caches were made to last and hidden well to avoid disturbance.
Of course that was when there were only 10,000 or so caches worldwide, and the idea of an urban micro had not been thought of yet [^]
The view from the lookout is spectacular,
but the bestest bit of this visit was yet to happen !! [:o]
I took the "Rainforest Walk" to see where it led.
From the lookout you can see the top of the falls and a lake behind.
Well that is where the walk leads.
And of course if you want to wander past the warning signs about sudden river level rises due to water being released from the weir upstream, then you can.
It is possible to follow the foot pad along the lakeside to the top of the waterfalls.
The approach to the very edge requires some rock hopping and scrambling, but the last 20 metres walking down the steeply sloping, smooth rock face to the lip is something that you adrenalin junkies out there should try
The exposure here on the rock slab walking down to the edge of the abyss is something to experience.
There are no hand rails !! [^]
And the sheer depth of the gorge can only really be seen from this point, just to the north of where the winter time trickle flows over the edge.
An hour and a half later I was back at the carpark and I reckon I was still grinning like a jackass three hours later

What a great cache in a great location. Will have to come back at some point and walk the trail. Had to wait for the motorcyclists to move away from GZ. Ballbag was on the ball today and spotted something, with an orange appearance, under the tree. Everyone thought it was a beer can because it was too close to the BBQ. He was spot on again. Bumblebee soon pulled out a telltale blue lens container.

"real" late log ....
no real excuses - would like to say that I have been occupied
but really - just slack, now trying to redeem myself and get back into caching
starting with cleaning up my logs - apologies.
cache notes from our 2012 Christmas trip to FNQ
after staying with relatives in Malanda
decided to try and grab a few caches befor heading back south
after grabbing a couple around Ravenshoe
decided to head out this way - besides the caches
I have never been out this way for a look - no more reasons required
unfortunately only had time to go out to the lookout and back
and the 2 caches attempted left me with DNF's
after coming up empty at Charmillan
I must say that I was a little devastated when we got to GZ to find a couple camped basically on top of it
so we just went over to admire the view
it was pretty evident that the other party were not going anywhere anytime soon
and with the day dissappearing and my little caching detours really upsetting the schedule
opted to leave it as one for another time and head back to Milla Milla and down the hill.
maybe next time I will have more time to attempt a few of the others out this way
cheers, apologies for my tardiness & TFTC (even if I didn't find it)

After revisiting DanielC's Charmillin and collecting a few bloodsuckers in the drizzling weather we finally approached THE GORGE. A really nice area stayed unheeded for an extended period of intensive searching. Finally we made it and found the immaculate treasure in a place not being mentioned by any hint.

Visited this cache with Walter and Ingrid.
With more than a year passing since this cache had been found and the passing of Cyclone Yasi over this area, we weren't really sure what to expect.
Some drizzly Ravenshoe weather ensured that we had the spot to ourselves.
With limited GPS reception and accuracy.....and a hint that described a multitude of possible hiding spots, we started the hunt.
With four pairs of eyes we looked for well over half an hour before Walter made the find.
The cache and its contents are in great condition.
We signed the log, before celebrating our find with a feed of Ingrid's banana cake.
A nice drive and a challenging find.

sent down the garden path and GPS doing summersaults --hehe, back tracked and found it
We hunted and hunted for over an hour in the pouring rain - after many encounters with prickly bushes, mud etc etc we retreated to the car for lunch. We had a second try but as the rain continued to come down we decided to call off the search. We would love for someone to tell us whether we were in the right spot, was it under that giant tree by the river?
You should have seen the view from the lookout! It was amazing - all white! Yeah, that was all I could see after driving all the way in, nothing but fog. Concentrated on the cache instead. Nobody has been looking for it since 2008!? Felt really sorry for the TB, so I searched until I had it in my hands. Since my GPS still wasn't much help I searched every tree in the area, not willing to give up. Lot's of wait-a while around made it a bit of a challenge, but I finally found it. Still in top condition, all contents dry; as always with bluelens caches, they are made to last.

Took a drive from our camp base at Ravenshoe to find this one. A beautiful drive in though we had to be careful of the cars travelling back from the dam as the road is quite narrow. It took us a while to find the cache as the gps was jumping all over the place. Tried a few different locations and then with some patience the gps lead us to the correct area. TNLN. Thanks guys
Hi! We found it. Or at least Danielv found it. Danielc and wife zeroed in on tree, but failed to locate the cache. Danielv spots it straight away. It was a bleak cold day on the Tablelands - or at least our part of it, so after lunch we decided to quit sitting around complaining and headed off to do this one. Drive up turned into pleasant conditions, if still a little chilly. There were a few non-participants about, but not enough to make things difficult. I can remember when there was a kiosk/come tea rooms where the slab of concrete is, and the falls were always flowing. Great place to visit then.
Took a dinosaur and left a security strap.
Cheers, and Good Hunting. Dan

Found by Team Mesazoo from Mesa, Arizona. The hubby got chewed by the vine. Took pen, left mini flashlight (torch). Thanks for the cache!
Originally logged at the internet cafe in Ravenshoe. We stayed at a B&B on Tully Falls Road, so this cache was close by. Lots of muggles around; had to wait for them to leave and then just barely signed the log when more showed up.

Found this one late in the afternoon so spent a little extra time here. Thanks for bringing us out of the "city" Blue Lens. There is a beautiful swimming hole on the way to this one which will certainly cool you down on a hot day. Took Frog Left another Dino. TFTH. The Goons
We found a few nice sized potholes on the way in. A car full of muugles arrived the same time we did they walked down to the first lookout while we tried to get some satelites on the GPS. We had a bit of a look at the gorge and worked out where we were going to have a bit of a look but to our dismay one of the muggles was heading in the same direction. [: As it had taken us so long to get here we weren't leaving empty handed but luck was on our side even he was sitting close to GZ he was looking the other way during our search. We quickly signed the log and then tried to quickly replace the cache which is a little hard while you are trying to avoid that nasty vine with spikes all over it. TNLNSL Thanks for the cache.
GPSr reception was a bit dodgy in places here but patience is a virtue (so I am told) and we found the cache after waiting a bit. Great views to be had late in the afternoon.
