Logs
Unfortunately after the recent floods the good sized log that this was hiding in has been washed away. There is a lot of debris in the area and even if I rehide it nearby I fear it may get lost if the area gets a clean up.
It’s going to be a while before this becomes available again. It currently resembles a water bird nursery, there are so many ducks and their young enjoying the plentiful water around.
The area is still impacted by floodwater. Unable to access the cache to see if it has survived.
On the highway heading north, so many cache to choose along the way... Chose this one cos of its age, and location.
Quick find.

First catch!! Looked for Kearny Memorial too but weather is very unkind today. Thanks Guys.
Great location and had muggles nearby, which helped improve our stealth skills, TFTC
Short walk from parking area, had to ensure the muggle parked nearby didn't bust us. tftc.
Absolutely loving being introduced to this area and have definitely put it on the 'must return list' would love to be here at nesting time. Tftc
Bird hide was awesome, shout out to the local group maintaining the reserve. Clean, tidy, presents way above expectations from the road. Pop in!
The long weekend is upon us and after organising to pick something up from Strathmerton in the morning, I checked the map before hand and here is a place that I have not visited before.
I guy I work with stayed here in January and recommend that it was worth a visit.
So after detouring via Conargo to see if the pub has finished being rebuilt (not open yet) I arrived at my destination.
After touring around Moulamein yesterday and spending a great night in my cabin at the pub that overlooked the Edwards River it was on to my next destination.
I was taking the less travelled roads which usually meant dirt roads but that was fine by me.
Made it to my planed destination Lake Boga and after visiting the museum it was time to head back south due to the place being booked out and of course going by the less travelled back roads.
Back on the black top now and still heading south and finding caches as I go.
Heading to this one and I thought to myself Oh Bird Hide that could be anywher, then I arrived at the carpark read the cache notes and thought that’s good.
Soon located the cache and now to go and check out the hide.
Thanks The Morris and Team Megradel TFTC.

#4677 Wow what an amazing sight this turned out to be. First we took a walk down the nature trail before returning to check out the Hide. Today the lake was teeming with birdlife including the Ibis and Pelicans. There seem to be 100s of Ibis circling above in the skies. This D1 cache fooled us for a while before Mrs BGF found the very obvious hiding spot! TFTC.
Travelling home to regional Victoria, stopping for short breaks from driving during the day and finding isolated camps as we get closer to home. This was a perfect location for a walk and stretch and a quick find. Thanks so much for a caching distraction on this unusual journey home.
Quick stop & short stroll to cache. Lovely spot to stop & stretch the legs. Having a day out caching. TFTC
So nice to find an old cache in this peaceful Ibis Reserve. Travelling from Echuca to Swan Hill on our Victorian winter holiday. SL at 2.23pm Left: card and deer pathtag. Unfortunately we didn’t see or hear any ibis, but we left Clancy from Wangaratta to make friends when they came back to roost. #8012 TFTC The Morris
With our next destination being Echuca for 2 nights we targeted some older caches, multis and just whatever other trads we passed along our way.
Another 4 digit cache on our to do list had us walking straight past the cache holder searching in another location until we realised our mistake. After the recent rain the dirt in here was like clay, sticking like shit to a blanket as the old saying goes. At least we are and inch taller now lol
Thanks Team Megradel for maintaining this oldie.

COs- Apologies for the late log, I'm seriously behind and trying to catch up!?????The date of this log entry is the date I actually visited your cache.***************************************?????Absolutely ecstatic to be on another geo road trip after a covid induced drought on travel! YAY!??Being from Queensland, I know I'm taking a chance on getting back in again, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!??(did get back home before a retro fitted quarrantine order and was out of Victoria the day before it took effect!)??My aim this time is to get to Ballarat for the Geotour, events and catch up with friends. (Deferred twice already!) Afterwards I'll return home via the Paddle Steamer? series near Mildura to do what I can of them before I have to return home. ????I'm also trying to cache in as many LGAs as possible en route and avoid major centres further east being a new game plan atm. ??Also have to keep up to date with changing border restrictions in case of having to abandon all plans and make a desperate dash home,????? so that adds an unusual layer of challenge to this trip.????This cache...?which challenge/ why??LGA challenge?have a stickybeak??Stayed overnight at the lovely camp at Piangil and tootled along here. Was surprised at how many lakes there were in the area. This one was sitting out winking at me when I arrived so it was a really quick find.??Did the paperwork and hid it properly before having a walk around. Must admit I'm not a fan of ibis after a couple of food snatches by them. One cannibal ibis stole an entire chicken that was meant to be our lunch??(grrr!??) and another time one snatched my piece of haloumi as I was sitting down.?? (grrr!??) I'd waited in line for 20 minutes to get it and had only had one bite out it! (grrr!??)TFTC??
A nice quick finders we pulled over here for something to eat. Thanks for the hide. Collected the Geo coin.

A quick find while out and about. A terrific view of a wide range of birds at the hide. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC

Day #10 of the adventure although it’s day 1 of adventures on my own as the others had to go home. Aim of the day is to explore Kerang and some of its surrounding lakes.
Spotted the container a few metres from GZ. Signed the log and covered it a little more. Off to check out the bird hide now
Thanks Team Megradel for placing the hide!

I found it with 2 of my cousins, it’s our first geocache we’ve found together so it was pretty exciting, it’s fairly easy if you know what to look for, we walked past it at least 10 times haha. I do recommend this one, the view of the birds are beautiful and the nature walk was really nice.
It was a little hard but we did it, didn't think it was going to be in that spot!
A two day round trip with +Wife and our GeoMutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie. An early start then off to Bendigo, Manangatang, Swan Hill and on to Kerang for the night.
Followed by Echuca, Rochester, back to Bendigo, then home.
Found in a logical spot.
Cache in good order.
Thank you to The Morris for placing and maintaining this cache.

From Koondrook to Walpurp. It was a nice journey with some Geocaches along the way. This was one of the Geocache we found today. Many thanks to the owner for the hide !
Continuing our Boxing Day drive around the lakes. Gps lead us straight to this easy find. TFTC. Interesting info on display...but the flies are driving us back to the car...and on to our next find.
Bad weather means smilies instead of havesting. Down South there was a stand of cypress trees taken over ibises maybe several hundred to a couple of thousand so hundreds of thousands gee whizz.

Nice spot. Saw a few ibis, but a fat healthy raptor was enjoying the young

Found the cache out in the open so after signing the log we tucked it safely away from the prying eyes of birdwatching muggles.

Broken container has been replaced and original log book transferred into it. A few new swaps added.
After finding his one's [B&W neighbour](https://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga2295), I wandered over to this one for a nice, quick find at 11:15. Unfortunately, the lid is cracked and it needs some serious TLC!
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks The Morris.

We are on our way to Canberra for the Mega event and this was the day 2 heading from Swan Hill to Wodonga stopping for a few caches along the way with three of us caching as JAM (JJ52, Aussie M&M and mogni) [^]
Wandered the wrong way to start then headed to GZ and the cache was quickly found.
Thanks for the cache The Morris.

Out with JJ52 and Aussie M & M for a huge day 2 of travel to the Mega in Canberra. We are caching as JAM to save taking up space in all the cache we find. Todays leg was Swan Hill to Wodonga. Another glorious day for travelling and much fun and laughter was had. The ladder was well used and no injuries were had.
Thanks to The Morris from mogni

Caching with mogni and JJ52 as JAM, on our way to the Clearwater Mega.
This was a bit sad, as we thought it would be a bird hide, but there is nothing much here now. Still another cache found on our trek East.

This year our plan was to spend our "summer vaction" in Australia.
So arriving on the 7th November we took over the campervan and started our tour from Sydney to Adelaine. On that tour we found a lot of caches. This was one of it.
Thank's a lot to all CO's that placed and maintain the caches here in "Down Under".
Greetings from the south of Germany

We called in to see the ibis and found a cache instead!
No ibis today but lots of flies and a brown snake, then we saw a load of turtles sat on a log with pelicans and a Royal spoonbill.

I couldn't resist stopping to see the largest Ibis rookery in the Southern Hemisphere, though I don't think I actually saw in Ibii (or whatever the plural for Ibis is ). I did see a few pelicans through the telescope in the bird hide though. Also, I saw lots of bees in the bird hide and surrounds... The cache itself was easily spotted; thanks for the cache.
Last two caches for the day here and at the Ibis Rookery. The satellites love playing games out this way, both searches initially off in the wrong direction and wrong meterage.
My first search direction turned out right but the meterage placed me on the wrong side of the channel. Then when approaching from the other side the GZ was where i headed in the first place with the same metres away. So back we all went and this time the satellites got it right, with us sporting the hide from a small distance away.
What a shame that even with such an important area as this, proudly maintained by several groups, that someone was still there today leaving their unwanted lunch strewn about the route heading to the cache. Not sure if lettuce is part of the natural diet of the Ibis! Seriously, a rubbish bin was only a few extra paces away!
Thx The Morris for highlighting this area, at least we can say we respected the site. And thx for the cache.

Called in here after many times of just passing, made the find, and had a peek at the birdhide, will make this a regular stop whenever passing again, Thanks The Morris, for the hide and bringing me to this place
Was keen to see the ibis rookery. Took advantage to find the cache. Thanks for the HIDE
Found with Exportswede. Lovely spot, managed to see some lovely birds. Pen refused to work so have attached pic of log. TFTC!
Found this one a few weeks ago on a trip following the Burke and Wills route. A great location and worth a stop
After staying the night in Swan Hill, we headed off this morning to visit a number of areas including Quambatoo, Boort, Mount Terrick Terrick, Pyramid Hill and Kerang, looking for a range of caches along the way. Although it got quite hot during the day, we had an enjoyable time exploring areas we had not visited previously.
After visiting Pyramid Hill we started a rather citcuitous route to get back to Swan Hill. We visited this area along the way. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. Unfortunately the clips on the container had broken off through repeated use. The log book had been quite wet previously - it had dried but was quite brittle. This cache could benefit from some TLC. Thanks The Motrris for the cache.

Yet another nice old cache that I have missed logging. So very sorry. Another favourite to thank you for keeping this cache going for so long.
Looking at heading up this way only to be told "we've found those, they are probably more that you haven't logged". As it turns out, that is exactly what has happened. I was caching with Papi4506 who has thankfully mentioned me in his log so I know I was present at this find and on this day. Thank you for the cache and huge apologies for not doing it earlier.

Off on a weekend road trip to Swan Hill, going the long way on my 1400km adventure to pick up a few new LGA's along the way as well as a few caches of interest.
The time has come to head for home but there were still caches to find along the way.
I arrived at this one to find kmps already at GZ and with the cache in hand.

On my way to the '6 Months to the event in Alexandra - Swan Hill' event! After bypassing Bendigo, I detoured through Terrick Terrick, then onto Pyramid Hill for the earthcache. Snap Happy chased an old Steam Train and I chased Snap Happy. We ended up miiiles away from caches and after heading back to the main road we ended up in Kerang. Caught up with sully for some lunch, now on our way to Swan Hill. Thanks for the cache, The Morris.

TFTC,
We attended the Red Centre Experience and are returning home the long way.
Today's adventure has taken us from Robinvale to Echuca picking up caches along the way.
Made this one our lunch stop, didn't get to see many birds..
Visited a group of trackables.
