As I wind out towards my Easter goal of a thousand, I find myself on #863 smilies on this 25th day of March. Two weeks to go, and on current rate I should get there OK, but the weather could let up a tad to help me.
Nice cache, and I love the name. Very fitting.
Another success for Max's list!

So I turn up to this really nice park to find a cache in my gps find it in good condition apart from a small spider which ran away anyway. Then I get home to log it and find that it's archived. Shows
I need to update my GPS a bit more. Thanks for the cache anyway

A quick find for this one thankfully after two previous caches this morning. TFTC.
Mmmm. Eastern Brown there to welcome us. However from the logs we were clearly off the scent. Have to learn to think like wingaap.
Found with Bunnoire. As the other comments ssuggested, I had to ignore the imprecise GPS and think like wingaap! Those hokey stumps sure had me sidetracked tho.
I'm sure I had this one logged as a DNF at least once.
This one has stumped me a few times...but now I'm thinking I've got a handle on Wingys mind and how/where he hides his caches.
Well I have found nearly 100 of his caches.
And there is was..took about 30 secs.
Thanks Wingy for another lesson on how to hide a cache.

With the GPSr going crazy, and half an hour of searching, we gave up on this one. Hopefully next time.

Coordinates were very precise and the cache was exactly where I hoped it would be. All is fine inside. We were very taken by the beautiful landscaping of this lush area. I hope there are more visitors to the park to enjoy all the work here.
1003 - Our second attempt at this one, after our first visit in June 2010 with macsbytwo. Wingaap emailed me after I logged our DNF here last time and gave me some encouragement that it was still there, and today after the briefest of searches I found it in about the third place I looked. Don't know how four of us missed this one last time. Found in good condition at 2:46pm. TFTC Wingaap, the first find of many of yours today as we went for our second run along Wingaap Way.
at 14:48. We approached this from the wrong direction but it was an easy find.
TFTC again Wingaap. This cache is also fine.
TFTC again Wingaap. This cache is also fine.
Found without too much hassle just before it started to pour with rain. Thanks for the cache.
I was going for it at night so it probably wasn't the most suitable time to be looking, I saw some huge spiders!
Not too far from "It's Terminal" cache and the last one Mrs Biggles and I managed to do today before the batteries ran out on the GPS. Nope we didn't have spares!
We managed to locate the cache quite easily which was lucky for us since the GPS died soon after.

The last one for us today and a pretty spot too. Not too hard to find fortunately.

Found easily the second time round. How we missed it the first time with 4 sets of eyes is a mystery. Thanks for bringing us to this unknown part of The Gap.
Not such a hairy crossing for us today - one of the team loved playing in creeks as a child, if only life was still that simple. We found the cache easily and were on our way to find a few more treasures. TFTC wingaap
Well this crossing turned out to be very hairy indeed when a muggle appeared from nowhere just as I was about to retrieve the prize. With a cheery hello I told her I'd dropped my keys. Just as she offered to help look, I "found" them and off she went. I wandered off in the opposite direction and waited until she was out of sight, grabbed the cache, did the business and headed outta there. I did take the time to appreciate the lovely park nearby - what a great spot!
Thanks for the cache

A nice quick find today in this fantastic little park. I had been to The Gap many time - but never knew about this hidden little area. TFTC Wingaap
We had a long run planned for today, so off we go.
INteresting plaque nearby by celebrating the dairy that used to be here, placed as part of the Q150 (can't spell seq...) celebrations last year.

Started the day off in the worst possible way with a DNF on this one. I did not have it loaded into the GPS, but we were caching with macsbytwo for the day and they had it loaded into theirs. Now after looking at the location of the cache on Google Earth, I feel we were looking in the right area, but we didn't find it today after looking for it for a good 20 or so minutes. Until next time we venture into this area...TFTC Wingaap.
A quick stroll over from It's Terminal, and a quicker find for Palopinto. Groaned out loud at the bad pun before signing the log and replacing it, then continuing up the hill to our next cache. TFYAC, Wingaap!
The littlest geokid was very happy to arrive at a cache with a playground nearby. It was a little challenging persuading her to come and find the cache with me. We were fortunate to time our caching activities between dog walking muggles. Cache was found safe and dry. Thanks.
Kidnapped by the AmbulareSimia Clan for a day of caching out along the Mt Nebo Road. This woz our 2nd find for the day, but the 1st of 11 wingaap caches we'd seek out by the time we'd finished and i woz looking forward to the day ahead. We pulled up off the edge of the road and walked back to the park access point. We were chatting as we walked, following the directions from the gps. Upon arriving at GZ, we each checked our gps's. One said left, one right and the third, between the two but slightly forward, making a beautiful triangle. We looked around. Now normally this would be a bad thing, but as this was a wingaap cache, we suddenly knew wot to do. The race woz on between The Monkey and myself to secure the prize. Victory was mine and i signed the log @ 12-31pm and we headed off to the next adventure. TFTC Wingaap
Found at 1232 with Loupyloo.
Our second find of the day and the first of many Wingaap caches today, each more fantastic than the last.
We came up to this one with no clues and no indication of where the cache might be. Having done Wingy's caches before, we decided we needed to think like Wingaap. After a couple of seconds, Loupyloo and Mr Simia had it and were off but Loupyloo was the winner this time.
Cache in good condition. TNLN SL TFTC

Hairy parking!! Prayed for the geomobile to be there when we got back and off we went. Some amazing houses around this area. Also ran into some council workers[?] in a shed [?][?] along the path. Cache found quickly. Beautiful area! Although the water is currently a bit stagnant. Plenty of insects/lizards/fishies enjoying the warm weather. TFTC wingaap
Nice quick find . A nice area and our 6th Wingaap cache of the day. TNLNSL, TFTC.
Another nice neck of the woods I haven't visited before. Found it after a short search. TFTH.
We found a lot more "hairy" crossings than this one as we tried to approach the cache from the wrong direction. Once we found where we should be it was a quick find. Enjoyed the shade of the covered playground to have a drink and revive before the next search. Thanks again Wingaap.
This was strange returning to what used to be our relatives horse paddock. Thanks for bringing me back to this area after 20 years. TFTC
I made this one a whole lot harder than it needed to be by completely missing the cache on first pass. Focussed on the immediate area, but didn't see the container...
I moved on and scoured the area on both sides of the crossong... Nope, nothing... [?] Picked up the GPS and located GZ for a second time... It put me in the same place... Another look in the original place and voila... it was there the whole time...
Thanks for the challenge Wingaap...

There was an easy way to this cache that we did not take. a quick and easy find - felt very exposed to the muggle houses on the hill however!!! TFTH
Like the other cache close by I've been blind to this one also. This was my third visit here but today was the day. Thanks for the cache.
This was cache # 6 of 15 for the day, while the wife took the kids to dream world for the day, the cache was found at 1155. A nice short stroll with lots of birds putting on a song. I had no trouble locating this one. My thanks to wingaap for the cache.
After 3 fruitless searches at other caches, I was pleased to find this one was in its right place.
The recent floods must have been pretty close but the cache appears to have escaped.

Hairy crossing? I though it was one of the safest crossings I've ever made. Just what were you up to when you placed this one, 'wingaap'? TN/LN while dodging muggles.
Nice little park. Had to fight ants for the log book but still dry and safe. Thanks for the cache.
Quick find, thankfully, as there was a big fat toad sitting right near GZ. TFTC
Hmm, found the fat toad, think we trod on him by accident, didn't find the cache. So close.
I was expecting a difficult creek crossing but it wasn't so bad. When I was replacing the cache a cyclist whizzed past, but was gone before I could see if they were concerned about what I was doing - I guess not! SL TFTC Wingaap.
Found on the Brisbane Caching Invasion with Steeba and The Rats. Loved the bridge
Thanks wingaap for the cache.

In Brissy for a caching blitz with Steeba and Big Matt. The local council certainly spends lots of money on their bridges around here.

Bumped into ControlFreaks again here, had a quick chat, then we moved on, great spot for a cache. Took a photo of some nice houses on the hill.
Thank You.
Thank You.
Quickish find and had only just replaced the cache when we meet up with Controlfreaks again. Another nice park, there's so many, lucky Brisbanites!

705 Brisbane people are rather spoilt with lovely parks like this one dotted right through the suburbs - I'll be they take them all for granted. Easy find. TFTC wingaap
Out with Mrs CF to find a few caches before lunch at a nearby caching establishment (well the one next door anyway). We tried to walk down to this one from Dam View but had to give in and drive around. Ran into Konie and the Kiwis again heading back to their vehicle after walking over to another nearby cache. We made a quick find, SL and moved on. TFTC.
Out with TheWonderStuff and ADV from NZ it was an enjoyable stroll and a quick find.

What a lovely day for caching and exploring yet again some parts of Brisbane never seen before. Thanx for leading us here.

It was a good day today. Found "A Hairy Crossing" safe and sound after a couple of false starts. The park is a well hidden pocket of green. SL. Thanks for the pointer to the area, and of course the cache.
Found on our 24 hour Caching run around Brisbane and the outer suburbs.
Visiting from South Aust for the weekend.

If nothing else the name of this cache is interesting. Wish I had been there to see what the name meant!! Thanks Wingaap for another cache for the night explorers from South Australia to find with Mr MadMyers.

Winagap,
This one is going to need a new log in short order. The nice new looking bridge made it easier than I thought crossing this creek that I feared - given the title!
Cheers,

I thought it was a Hairy Crossing because of a hairy tree that I didn't realise was covered in ants until they dropped all over me as I brushed through it. Like La Kedi said, 'Doh'. TFTC
I blame the lack of watercress at my previous find for my slow wits here - it took me aaaaaages to click to why the title was A Hairy Crossing. Doh! Deciding that with my brain clearly starving, it would be a grand spot for another of my geomum's superb picnics, we settled down on the blanket and tucked in, with the now almost obligatory kookaburra keeping watch nearby. Every week we have a brilliant picnic, and every week there are kookaburras! It's amazing. And yes, the cache needs a new logbook. TFTC! ='.'=
Dropped in on the way back from X stage 1, and took some time to rest. GPS at zero on the end of the bridge and I saw a promising hole in the earth but no cache. GPS then pointed me into the garden to the north west. Did the geodance but nothing came of it. I suspect some wierd distortion occurs on sunset because the GPS kept pointing in different directions. Wingaap beats me again.
Found a little bit of space in log book but needs replacement soon.
Saw beautiful blue bird.

Well, I probably came from this from the wrong side of the creek, walking down the hill through the new development. I'm glad I did though, some nice houses with an enveable outlook on The Gap. When I got to GZ well... oh no... not a wingaap bridge case... I'm doomed... dooomed... DOOOM... oh wait, there it is. Hey I, used to play in this park all the time when we first moved to Brisbane in '83. Thanks Wingaap.
