After reading the previous two DNFs we thought twice about searching for this cache, but as we were in the area gathering info for the nearby Multi we gave it a go but no joy.
It's a while since I'd not checked the previous logs. I think I still would have made this little walk though. Angus the great GeoWestie assisted by grey nomad Carer Lis Brown en route from Bundaberg Qld to Perth WA via all of Tasmania.
After reading past logs I didn't hold out much hope of finding this one and was right.
Hi guys! We accidentally stumbled upon this cache on the rocks as we were walking along the shore. Must have fallen down. It was very beat up and wet and we had no idea where it came from so we took it home to patch it up. We'll replace it and put it back ASAP, the paper is all soaked through so not salvageable. First cache we've sound since we were little tackers!
Container needs replacing as it has holes in it, snap lock bags inside cache also broken.
Found today, nice walk around the waters edge, cache needs replacing. TNLN. TFTC!
Hot day cold water. Nice easy find. Container needs replacement. Log getting tattered and plastic chewed through. Took car left word pegs. TFTC
Came at low tide by accident rather than good planning! Great little walk with kids and dog. Thanks.

WOW what a spot so glad someone has decided to hide a cache down here even if it needs a little maintenance. We parked at the park and headed around the rocky ledge. Interesting to see several sink holes, the deep pool and kelp reef just off shore. Wounder how busy it gets down here in the summer?
JABs.
JABs.
Spent many calm evenings at this spot over the years - and there was a cache here all along! TFTC
Found it today, my last day in Tasmania. We drove down the coast and enjoyed the views and food along the way. We stopped here before heading back to Hobart and the airport. After a short walk along the rocky shoreline, the cache was in hand. I did look in a nearby hollow tree which would be a great place for a cache! The views from here are fabulous. The things in the cache were damp but I was still able to write in the log book. If the next cacher has time, maybe have a picnic and let everything dry out, if the tides are right! Anyway thanks for placing a cache here, it's such a beautiful location. SL
We were lucky that we arrived at low tide. Loved the area, loved the scramble to the cache. TFTC
Nice spot bit of a rock scramble together to the cache and a small leap of faith?

Cache container has 2 holes in the top corners, taking on water & now soggy swaps, but log is still dry in own plastic bag. Cheers kirdonnemo
Found with Drat1964 who was along for a caching day out today. Geomum & geokid came as far as the tricky bit, then waited it out watching a sea urchin in a rock pool. Cache is damaged, taking on water & swaps soggy, but log is still dry in own plastic bag. TFTC
Found with whitewebbs on our "Down South" caching holiday, sent the geohubbies off to snare this one, easy find once at GZ. TFTC
Found with Tassie Trekkers when heading to the Huon for a caching trip.Great view. Mr W and Mr T headed off to find the cache. Left toy person and took blue dinosaur. TFTC.
1st find of the day, nice walk in the wind and the tide was almost to high. Easy find once at GZ. TNLNSL Thanks for the cache and taking me to a lovely spot. Will be back one warm summers day to do some snorkeling around the wonderful coast.
My Geokid is a hawkeye! However she decided not to swap any items today, she just felt satsified that she found it.
Located today at 1140 Hrs, easy to find. Took a mini highlighter pen and left a toy soldier.

A great little coastal community. Tide was a bit high but geo-hubby persisted despite it being winter and cold water. Managed to avoid wet feet by dodging the inward and outward surge of the water.

Loved the little difficult bit. Reached GZ and thought the scramble was probably easier but went back along the beach. Log a little damp but still easy to write on. TFTC
Great little walk rock hopping with geo niece and geo son. Niece took green soldier and left beautiful shell and cronlycrew took Bee Happy Dancer and attached Travel Slug TSXYWV and left Kinder surprise figurine - will on plant the dear little Bee soon!!
Had a look at the high approach and decided it was not for us so took the water level approach. Fortunately the tricky bit was not a problem for the long legged clan. TFTC
Slid down from above (we were brave?! or didn't go the other way as the tide was up) for a quick find when we landed. What a fantastic spot, would have loved to have had snorkelling gear - and a wetsuit. Saw a really fat black snake but he got away before we could snap a photo of it. Thanx for showing us this place. Took bath fizzer, left dinosaur. Big climb back up but a bit of fun. TFTC
Found and logged at 13:10, I spent the day caching while in Tasmania helping my son build his house
Nice walk along the rocks the tide was just low enough

Wow, that really was in plain view! Made an effort to make it a bit less obvious to muggles. Log dry but container has holes as mentioned by others.
We initially attempted this cache earlier this morning but high tide prevented access. We returned mid afternoon and although we had to be careful because of the slime on the rocks, we were able to get to GZ, locate the cache and return without any drama. Lovely location down by the waters edge. TFTC
Replaced the ziplock bag but container still needs maintence ?rats chewed off 2 corners. Nice adventure but rocks very slippery with slime
Well hidden. Great walk to get there. We all enjoyed the adventure of battling the raging seas to get there.
Cache needs maintenance though, as the container's been eaten away on two corners, and zip lock packet is broken too.

Plastic bag is broken and a couple of wholes in cache container. Nothing too wet yet.
After helping an older gentleman re-launch his beached boat I strolled around the rocks, hopped over the tricky bit and proceeded to look for the cache. It wasn't quite in plain sight, but a label on the ground gave me the final hint - looking behind the foliage immediately above revealed the cache.
The intrepid explorer scrambled down the hill & leapt over watery channels (or one at least) in a single bound whilst I watched from the comfort of the hill. "Well done", I said,"it's a tough job but someone's gotta do it". I forgot to write down what he took as I was so busy writing the observations above, but he tells me he left a soldier. Don't hold me to it. TFTC
To dear cachers,
It is I, Sonic the super bird!
Wow! This cache is certainly on my recommended list!
My owners decided to go down to Tinderbox for a snorkelling/sightseeing/caching trip and boy, this one was good!
They went snorkelling (too cold for a cockatiel like me) and went walking round the coastline for this one.
Lovely walk! If only they had snorkelled round here but PF1 said that you'd probably get hit against rocks and be unconcious!
Of course DaBoss found this one! Poor Junior, he always has the GPS but never finds it...
Container might need a bit of fixing up as previous owners have said. My owners would of mantained but forgot "maintanence kit".
Junior was thrilled to get a hacky-sack as he has been wanting for ages and is playing it as I type. So T Hacky-sack. L Footy cards & TB.
TFT AWESOME C!
Over and out,
SONIC THE SUPER BIRD.

Another tick for Mrs L&L I haven't done rock clambering and rock hopping like that for a long time [^]. Lots of interesting sea creatures here and a lovely sunset too 8D]. TFTC and this interesting area.
Found this one after a bit of a struggle to gain access to the rocks. Hopped over the tricky bit and reached GZ. Took the travel bug and signed the log. The container has been chewed by something and has two holes in it. Everything is dry at present, but really should be replaced as soon as possible. Spent a good while looking at the cave and gazing across to Bruny Island where we found a couple of caches a few days previously. Perfect weather, the water was as gentle as could be. Yeah, I know, we were lucky .
An evening drive with son found this clever cach in a great area. After some searching found the cach. Please be carefull as there are some birds nesting in what could be great hiding spots for cachs'. This cach may need some servicing as container has some holes in it now. Great spot, great chach. TFTC
Found at 1507hrs as my 102nd overall find, and the 7th and last for the day. Love the area, used to launch the boat at the ramp and out into the flatties etc.
The walk on the rocks was great but the walk back to the car was easier. Tide was in so had fun rock hopping. Thanks for the fun and the cache - OldSaint.

Nice walk with my muggle friend who upstaged me - whilst I was about to clamber right up the hill he reached in and took it. He was tempted not to tell me just so he could watch me hanging precariously
Been to the car park before, even walked a bit in the other direction before, but never walked this way before. Tide was perfect, weather was lovely, views were great. It was Thursday, but it was good for a "Sunday Drive", anyway. TNLNSL, TFTC.
I can't believe I've never walked around the rocks here. It was beautiful today: patches of sunshine and cold rainy fronts moving across, to create dramatic effect. The cache was soon in hand, and it proved big enough for Happy Camper TB (I'd promised to take him to a scenic spot in Tassie and this fit the bill). We continued around to the cave, where we were surprised by the fact that there seemed to be five pigeons ensconced in there! (#522/548) Thanks, Caxixi; my travelling geocoin passed through in tribute.
A bit of a challenge with the rising tide but we enjoyed the challange very much. TFTC
First try a week ago I didn't have any knowledge of where it was so I hiked along the top road. Decided to go home and look up the cache before I attempted again.
2nd time around after reading description of the area. Found it with no problem.
And no tiki god's were hurt or moved in the search for this wonderfull cache.
Thanks for the fun time.

Low tide, lovely walk, bit of a search, read the hint, found the cache. Took TB to move him onwards. Funny thing, on the way back, a large wave wet us, we must have disturbed the Tiki God
What a great spot! After a bit of scrambling up and down and back and forth we found it! Tok out the smiley ball and left a little frog.

Wasn't sure about private property so took the long way around rather than upset any locals. Once at gz a 'boy' look failed to see the cache which was promptly spotted once I read the clue! Enjoyed the view of the river too. Thanks.
Slid down from the top with tomato head. Found this one just before he did. Sitting there as plain as day. Thanks Caxixi. Took plastic tree and left "winner" medal
Found with red tag, nice steep descent but VERY easy to find, TNLNSL Thanks for the cache
Second attempt to find this cache. Rocks were a bit slippery, but today we found it right away. Left Elmo travel bug, christmas tree ornament and hello kitty purse. Took shrek baby, chain and parachute man.
Enjoyed the walk around the shoreline to this one. T Tassie Devil, L chain, SL. TFTC.
Haven't driven down here for years!! Weather good, tweencacher found this easily (he was on a roll today!). Took Tumbleweed Geocoin. TFTC
I love this sort of cache! Great views and great rock hopping! This was the first of three finds on an interesting Sunday morning drive while our youngest was at a birthday party nearby. Despite the miserable weather this morning, my Reluctantly Geocaching Spouse (RGSp) decided to join us for the trip. Drizzle and some pretty choppy waters made navigating the rocks quite exciting. RGSp made easy work of finding the cache and earned the right to choose an item. Took smiley heart button; left a squishy ball and the TumbleWeed Geocoin.
Wet weather and high tide, but a good adventure. Left keychain, parachute toy. Took keychain. Thanks!
The seal sunning himself on the rocks did not take to kindly to being disturbed by us looking for the cache.
This is a great area and worth the visit, i did my dive course here a very long time ago.
Son swapped out a nifty key ring for a carabiner.

Twenty-second of thirty-one finds in company with Snuva's female slave. We navigated the coastline without becoming damp. Then the fun started! It took us ages to find it. We found some really nice hiding places, but the cache wasn't in any of them. We decrypted the hint, but we still couldn't find it. We searched further afield, to no avail. Then SFS rang SMS, who had found it previously. However, before we could get the good oil on where it was, I stumbled across it at 1655. The hint was absolutely spot on! [^] Thanks to Caxixi for the cache. Cheers, dak.
IN: Nothing
OUT: ZeNate TB, The Digger's Hat TB, and 8 Ball Geocoin

Re-visited this site with dak on our Day of Caching Craziness (craziness for me as I had already found most of the caches we visited; caching for dak as he logged a few more finds!).
Dropped in a few TBs and a coin for dak to move on.

Perfect weather for a bit of cache hunting today. Arrived late afternoon with no one around except some fishermen hauling their boats out of the water at the ramp. Nice spot on an Autumn evening. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found with Rebulus. Nice hop along the shore line enjoyed this one Took frog clip and left blue snap hook. Thanks Caxixi
Pleasant walk along the shore, I often sail past here. Calm sea with o'cast skies. Found with GSPBLU. Took nothing, Left nothing. Thanks for the cache
No muggles about today, the rain was just about to start so had the coatline to myself. Enjoyed the walk along the rocks - liked how I had to jump that little channel in the rock. Spotted the cache easily. Liberated the coin and Diabetes TB. Thanks Caxixi, beaut spot.

I had fun hopping the rocks in my work clothes....
Tide was just right to get around the tricky bits.
Cache found easily after taking a few photos

Huzzah, yet another find for the CPST (Crack Pirating Squad of Tasmania) Had to leave quickly, as a pair of snorklers were getting suspicously close and intimate to us, arr arr. Sadly, our Hot Vinnie couldn't make it...stuck at the pirate ship sick. Rescued a little goldfish, and also dropped off a hackey sack and 'Volkswagon' and the Diabetic Bug...which seems to have disapered from my account...damn. Oh well, it's there anyway. Was joined by John121. Arr, arr, arr, pirate log complete.
Muggles aplenty at GZ, and they were in for the long haul. Decided not to risk a search.

Found after a bit of leisurely rock-hopping in company with Caxixi (only a teensy hint given when GPSr was playing up and cache granny and senor el golco were running short on patience back at the c-mobile).
A great spot. Have seen the cave from the water and was pleased to view it close up.
Thanks Caxixi. T CGA magnet, L ladybug lip salve.

Had many fishing trips out of here years ago..great spot..and plenty of fish out there.Easy find.TNLNSL TFTC Cheers Caxixi.
We thought today was a little warm, so heading to the coast seemed to be in order - especially to an area where there were caches that we hadn't attempted!!! Much muggle activity in the parking area, but none around the point, so we sat in the breeze and ate lunch whilst admiring the colours in the Suncatcher geocoin. T Suncatcher coin, L frog weight. Thanks - we'll be back some time to try the snorkel trail, as we were so focussed in finding caches that we didn't think to pack the necessary equipment!
Beautifully spot - too bad dogs (and cats I notice, Caxixi!) aren't allowed here! I sent my HandsomeMan after this one, and he told me not to feel bad about missing out on anything as the walk wasn't fun at all, I wouldn't have enjoyed the ugly cliffs (which is strange as I assumed they would be beautiful like all the others in the area), and I would especially have hated the ugly water that was so wretched it had snorkelers swimming around everywhere. Too bad, as Caxixi caches are usually excellent!
Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.
Ooooh lovely! Mrs Cheesy Pig got an unexpected day off work, and did what any self respecting person would do - go geocaching!
What a beautiful day to do such a great cache! This is yet another Caxixi cache that has to go on the recommended list.
The cache itself was found easily, but I spent at least 2 hours exploring the area and taking photographs. Will definitely have to come back for some snorkling! The cave was very interesting too, colourful and mysterious - and I loved the little blow hole next to it. I felt like just jumping into the water, but the tide looked a little bit too fierce for a girlie on her own.
Took highlighter, left Tassie Devil, Where The Buffalo Roam TB and the Suncatcher Geocoin.
I have also planned 2 caches which should be available by tomorrow in the Tinderbox area, to get more people down that way. It's such a wonderful untapped geocaching area! ...or maybe I should wait until the weekend so more people can go for it??? Hmmm decisions
Thanks Caxixi, this one was memorable!

Damn that Swampy! He beat us again. Never mind. You know, this would be a good spot for one end of a bridge over to Bruny Island, don't you think? Nice cave around the corner too. 5yo cacherboy was very pleased to take the toy car, left 2 insects and a palm tree. Thanks Caxixi.
Arrived thinking coming over the top would be easy. As I found out, over the top is really over the top. Do yourself a favour and walk around the rocks. The area in which to traverse over the top is very steep and I had to resort to my rock climbing skills to descend the cliff.
Once at the bottom, the cache was found very quickly. Already a car in there, so TNLN.
FTF to me, no nude goats around but the view was great, even with the low clouds.
Thanks Caxixi.
