Logs
Spoiler ahead if you are having trouble finding it. Similar log in area which GPS kept sending me to but isn't GZ. Keep looking for similar item to be able to "log" it as found
Out exploring the tramway for the first time decided to do a spot of caching on the way back at GZ lots of potential hide spots but the geo instincts kicked in and found it about 10m from where the phone was pointing. Signed and ticked back away all is good with the cache TFTC
Caching on the Sunshine Coast today with Kolour and geodoggo Bella, after attending the event at Buderim this morning we targetted nearby caches and a small collection of oldies.
I really enjoyed the walk along here, such a lovely area. The cache was quickly found, log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks Green Team 2 and Konie for the cache.

Today Willis007 and I came up to Buderim for an event and found a few caches afterwards. We really enjoyed our walk here though it was very busy with families and dog walkers.
This time we made sure that there was no one nearby when we scooted up the hill. There were a few possible places to hide a cache - while I was looking in one place, Willis007 found it in another, though not very well covered. So after signing, it was hidden a bit better in its hidey hole.
Bit slippery on this track - it would be very hard in wet conditions. Tftc

Location accurate , little geo’s favourite find re location at no 3 on this track.
My 700th geocache! Left trackable albeit only a laminated piece of card. Plus a card to discover by cacher named Minkosdes.
Out for a morning jog with the two geokids, and we enjoyed the diversion to this one. Quickly had the generously sized container in hand (albeit not as generously sized as the cache that we would find about 10 minutes later!), and one of the younger ones did signing duties before we began the descent. Got busted by a muggle as we were jumping back down to the track – oops! Thanks for the cache, Green Team 2 and Konie!
24/5/2023 Find #6123
With SaintsMadHouse out of todays adventures as she wasn’t feeling well, I decided to head north alone today and grab a few of the older caches I just had not yet managed to clear once I had finished a nice relaxing acupuncture session.
Wombles and Co and I had tried to go for this one once before but works were being done here so access was closed off at the time. Since then I had never returned. So today it was time to rectify this, and I was quite looking forward to it.
A pleasant journey along the path here I hadn’t even looked to see if there were other caches along the way, this being the final goal for my day. Soon I was heading off and up a geotrail to GZ. After being distracted by the wrong log, trusting the coords found me the right one.
With cache found I decided to continue the trail as it was so lovely here and I wanted to see the rest of it. And it was somewhere along the way I decided I should probably check the map for other caches.
Thanks for the cache placement Green Team, and for its ongoing maintenance Konie.

The boys were collecting a few older caches today and this was on the list. Had to be a bit careful finding this one by torchlight but find it we did. Thank you for the fun
Undertaking a whirlwind visit to Maryborough. While here I was able to pick up a couple of caches I need for this month. And started home via Tin Can Bay/Rainbow Beach.
It’s been a big day, the sun has gone down and we deployed the torches to uncover this hide.

I was up in Maryborough and surround caching grabbing a few I need. This was one on my list. It was a long day today.
I had lots of fun today. Couple of the caches we Paf information.
The funny part I left few good D/T caches behind for next month or the next one after that.
Green Team 2 thank you for placing and Konie for maintaining this cache for my enjoyment.

I really hate it when I read ‘quick and easy find’ on a log where I’ve struggled to find a cache. But this was a quick and easy find for me. (Sorry @JDOutdoorsAUS and @sunshine58). I followed the geo-trail towards GZ, and as per the hint, as I was following the trail, voilà, there was the cache as per the hint. Not at GZ as per my iPhone, but within a reasonable radius. TFTC Green Team 2 and for the adoption Konie.

Was a bit skeptical about coming up here as last time I picked up a tick. Safe to say I didn't spend too long here before I kept moving.
Upon approach, my sister and I said together, “we’ve been here before”. But 2nd time still no cache. We just can’t get a grip on this one. Oh…. Snake…. Ohh we are outa here.
Nice third cache.
With the hint I was able to track it.
It is a bit far off the track, but an easy find

Konie I found your cache Missed the Train on 15/6/2022, 12:35 pm. This is my find 3517 and find # 4 today. Found a log but no cache. Widened my search area and found it in another log 10 meters away. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Such a lovely walk in this area, made all the better by friends to catch up with and chatter was not just from the noisy birds along the way.
We found this one without any problem at GZ. I don’t think we would ever have thought to visit this area without the incentive of this geocache series here. Beautiful!
Thanks Konie. We love the unusual places we just happen to find along the way as a result of our Geocaching adventures. Thanks for headng us this way.

A beautiful day for a walk and what better place than this trail through nature. Thanks for bringing us here.
Enjoying a lovely day out caching with our team called GGEDS (georode, grannysmith1947, E_Smiley, domsky and Snickersallan)
It was a great time had by all with lots of good hides found and with many laughs along the way.
Love a quick find, does help to having many eyes searching.

Followed the geotrail up the hill and spotted it hanging out of its hide. Left it hidden a little better. Thanks for the cache
Wow just as well Mrs geo is more agile than me, always pays to had a partner with you, tyfc and took a tb.
Had a great day out around Nambour, Mapleton and Woombye collecting virtual stamps in my book for the Wonders of the World souvenir promo.
This one took a little wandering about before finally it was spotted safely tucked away.

Thanks for giving us a reason to visit, **Green Team 2 (adopted by Konie)**. Our log is trackable, mention this cache.

I was floundering around here the other week too, and eventually gave it up and went back to my bike which i'd locked to a tree out of eyesight.
This time round, i dragged that thing up with me and parked it nearby, before i began the slow systematic search uphill. It was quickly spotted from afar, right angle, as opposed to last time i recall tromping all over the shop above gz blindly.
It goes to show that it's always worthwhile slowing down and hunting first with your eyes.
Thanks greenteam2 and konie for placing a cache here oh-so-long ago and keeping it alive.
A fave point for taking me somewhere i'd never have discovered without geocaching.

What a pleasant walking track and a few caches thrown into the mix is a bonus. Quickly found after a short scramble from the main track. My wring stick failed me so log is more of an impression than a scribble. Retrieved Puffin Bug Dog Tag. TFTC
Once again thank goodness for geotrails... really enjoyed this pleasant stroll through the former tramway... left some Euro coin and Puffin Bug TB to carry on... oh and replaced the logs snaplock bag...
Bring your hiking shoes for the last few strides - and follow the geotrail to the right hidden log... there is a misleading trail to the biggest log, beware the distraction of this.
exactly as it is described in a previous log. Unfortunately the vines are cursed lantana - pity is is here too.
Having missed a few trains in my time roaming the earth, the emotions range from an empty gut feel, shortly followed by anger and expletives as the train rounds the corner and you're left watching it disappear into thin air. The anger / expletive level magnifies in 5 min increments and hits a crescendo when you find the next train is due in another 55mins . . . Hmmm, f'n great!!
Dam, if only I decided not to have my arm twisted and an ale put in the free hand from one of my well meaning playmates at the after work day-care centre for wayward hubbies. The head slowly works through the scenarios, can the bladder hold out til home if I remain on the platform, or is there enough time for another post celebratory ale for missing the train? The winning solution is to find a bar next to the train station, a gold mine in the making.
Missing today's train, headed off down the old rail trail, a scenario not considered when I missed my after work trains, using the unreliable shanks pony. Assuming its unlikely that I'll see a train on this track today, walked to GZ and ascended the cutting to begin the search. In our possession had a phone and GPS, both of which were jumping everywhere and pointing at two different spots some 30m apart. We started to search at each end of the spectrum and it was Gcoven that spied the cache.
Now to head back to the car, collecting another few caches before heading to the SCG event at Palmwoods where I met up with the CO. Thanks Konie for adopting and keeping alive this oldie.

Number 3 oldie on today’s trip. Realised I had to head up the cutting and proceeded to search a rather large fallen log to no avail . As I turned around and headed up a little I spied the cache in a much smaller hide!!! Got tangled in a vine and face planted here ! Love my caching adventures! Tftc
The alarm went off at 7am and Mrs Woodyrothwell and I awoke to hear a commotion outside our bedroom. Some of the kids were awake and we went out to see what was wrong. There was no problem, they just forgot it was a weekend and were out of bed before lunch time which they usually call an early breakfast. Our daughter decided to join us for a morning caching soirée.
We made the usual visit to Starbucks for a drive up the coast. Upon arriving we assumed we were in for a hilly trek but the trail was awesome to walk on. If there was a hill on the walk then our daughter would have resigned in protest before the day began.
Mrs Woodyrothwell and I crawled up to find a log and after checking a few spots found the log covered in moss and grass. I always say that the best way to wake up after a night of wine is a coffee followed by sticking your arm into a dark place. tftc

Monday. This was our second cache found today out of a total of just 4. We were really out for a drive to the coast and wanted to find some gems. We wanted to get this cache as we saw it was an older cache and we need several dozen more before we can claim a find on a challenge cache out there. One by one we are slowly collecting some. We didn’t want to grab just any old cache though. This cache is in an exceptionally beautiful area. We made our way to where GZ said we should find the cache and the hint seemed to match the area. We couldn’t find the cache though and after reading previous logs about widening their search, we did the same ourselves. We widened it more and more – and still nothing. We called it quits and messaged the CO that we couldn’t find this one. Like a trooper he came to the rescue! We met up with him along the pathway and we checked this one out. We actually did end up finding the cache on the second go here! As it turns out, I had walked right past the log not once, but twice! Well hidden but none the less – it is most definitely there! Argh, how could I call myself a cacher! Again it was Mr SP who made the magical call of “found it”. The call of ‘well where is it!’ was made and yep, there was the cache. Very sneaky really, but it is there.
This was the 2nd of 4 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Konie***, for showing us this place.

Well, walked along this path a couple of times before realising that I need to GET OFF the path to find the cache. Okay, with that finally sinking in, was a matter of finding the path of least resistance to the GZ area. Ah, there is a likely path towards it.
Onward to GZ, and unfortunately there are a few sites that might be likely hiding spots.
Only one thing for it, check them all until I find something.
OK, so did that, and came up with nothing. Mmmm, what next. Try again.
In looking a second time, widened the search a little, and came up with the right answer. my iPhone must be messing with my mind (so unusual, like not).
Okay, cache and log in really good condition. Signed and returned, and out to the path, just in time to see a family of muggles heading towards school....
Thanks for the cache!

While camping in Landsborough for a few days with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and try finding a few caches ...
Wow what a fantastic area. And am very thankful for the little series of caches put here.
Well worth a Fav Point (not for just this one, but is for the all 3). Scruff and I really enjoyed them.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Followed the little trail up and after a short hunt this cache was in my sight. Took TB. TFTC
nice peaceful trail. Without caching we would never have known the trail was there.
We dropped a Tb here, the path out was quicker for us and we realised it isn’t necessary to depart the main track till about ten metres south of the parallel position with the track..we’ve noted this in the hope that lots of cachers will see this one and give it a go, the area is gorgeous and a Tb awaits tftc
We had a good time this afternoon picking up some caches on the sunshine coast TFTC
This cache was well out of the way despite being so close to civilisation.
A great walk in a top location with heaps of history.
Thanks

Had to backtrack a good few metres to take the path that leads up the hill. Once up it was an easy find as per the clue.
Last cache for the day today. Mrs JAT had already found this one, so I headed up the hill to have a search by myself. Aha, I reckon you are hiding here...yay, I've found you! A nice quick find in a lovely spot. TFTC Green Team 2 and Konie
We were in Buderim today and prior to returning home we decided to grab a couple of caches and what a nice way to do it with a leisurely stroll along the old tram track.
After arriving at GZ, it was not too long before the cache was in hand.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.
Find #918

Had found the cache at the start of this trail some time ago and said then that I would return when I had more time. Found that time today and enjoyed the walk to grab the tram cache and this cache today. A FP to share between these two caches. TFTC Konie.
walking the path when all of a sudden it was showing 30m right and i had a 3m high bank beside me. back tracked a bit to find a track up to where i wanted to be.tftc.
Think we have done this trail before but not noticed the caches along the way. Unfortunately didn't find this one, thought we had the right location? Note ascent is very slippery and steep in wet weather. Oh well 2 out of 3 for today.
Found it. Took nothing, left treasure. Log is a bit damp. Possibly due to container being old
Last cache of the day and we had walked passed the track to the cache, so had to double back. Johnno found it quickly enough and signed log while I stayed on the pathway keeping watch.

I was sure Millbet Man was going the wrong way up the little hill so was waiting for a "you were right, it must be further back like you said". But unfortunately he was right and got it. Geotrail to this one is well hidden which is a good thing I guess. Everyone's clearly being respectful of this lovely spot. Great little walk. Who knew that the Sunshine Coast had a tramway! Always great to learn new things. TFTC!
Out and about with Cosmo03 and geokids on this lovely Sunday morning. Since the geokids had done this as an excursion for school I thought i better learn something myself and take this historic walk. Quick detour off and up the track and treasure was found....cache and log in great condition. We signed the log and we replaced it as found and made our way back to the car! Thanks for the history lesson Green Team 2!
Found it with Pirate Kain. Nice cache. Nice trail. Geokids very excited by this one.
Today was definitly not my day. 1 of 3 of this little serie.
I climbed up, passed the bushes, got some injuries of the spikes of some plantes (oh yes, I was wearing shorts), was clöse of 1 meter and ... couldn't find it anyway.
Thanks

Found at 1545.
This was the final cache in this series, that I hadn't attempted before.
I zoomed along the track on my mountain bike, staying two steps ahead of the mozzies.
The GPSr directed me in to the scrub and I soon found the well-worn cache.
WOW, it's been here nearly 9 years! The spelling error on the front of the logbook gave me a laugh
