No find for us either, Recommend archive as the owner is unable to do the maintenance here (been 7 months since they confirmed it missing).
Quick walk through the reserve and sad to report that the cache is gone. If not muggled, then the base of its hide has collapsed and it is now under fallen soil and leaf litter and unable to be recovered. Will find an alternative container (maybe larger as the hiding spot is now larger) and replace soon.
The walk around the Taumarumaru Scenic Reserve was amazing. Breathtaking views at every corner, wonderful trees and plants we don't know in Europe, the glittering blue sea ... Yet we have to admit that we would have missed all that but for the six geocaches.
We went down to the beach first then up again to the cache. Such a beautiful spot. We dropped off a TB. TFTC!

Yes definitely need the hint. Watched a fish being landed as we collected the cache
Found with chermione on our nice little walk around here this morning. Many thanks.
Vminky retrieved this one as it was a long way down a hole. Nice walk on the beach afterwards. Tftc
GPS was not playing the game properly. Read the clue and voila, cache in hand. TFTC.
Visiting from Tauranga and loving the caching here. Cache good, but rather empty so we added a couple of toys. TFTC
Nice spot on a beautiful day. I wish I hadn't peeked at the hint though as it just says exactly where it is instead if a clue
As a kid I use to camp at coopers beach (30years ago) and we would climb over this hill into this little bay we then called Shelly Bay, there use to be goats on this track which would put me off coming over. Anyway, spotted the ideal place while heading to GZ, cache soon in hand and log signed, Tftc and bringing me back here
#10906. After our side trip to Coopers Beach, it was time ti explore the old pa sites. This headland looked like a good defensive position. We had to expand our search area a little before we located the cache. TFTC.
With the wet start to the day, we had a lazy start to the morning. After coffee, the rain seemed to have cleared so time to saddled up the geomobile and head out to Coopers Beach and surrounding areas for exploration and of course, caching. Thanks to all the COs for taking us to some fabulous locations.
What a fascinating piece of history. It was easy to see why this location was chosen for a pa site as it would be easy to defend. We spent more time than warranted on a diff 1 hide as our GPSrs took us over the small ridge to 3 puny hint items, none of which hid the cache. After a while, StreetWalker looked further afield, closer to the track and then located a much more likely location, and the cache, about 10m from our GZ. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

Nice cache for our walk over to what Dad calls shelly bay. Dad has been coming here for over forty years and reckons Coopers beach and Shelly bay are most awesomist places in the world.

On a 5-day tiki tour of Northland with sveppi. Staying at Cooper's beach for a few days. Today taking it easy with a walk on the beach. Found this cache (coords a bit out but hiding spot pretty obvious especially with the hint). Had a picnic lunch at the top (luckily it wasn't windy today, unlike yesterday!). The TB listed in the cache is not there, but there was another TB in there that was not listed (working on fixing that). Got the legs wet in the long grass but it's nice and mild today and worth the effort to climb up for a view! Cool place thanks nalawood for the cache.
Up in Northland for a little winter break with fanfan-77. Staying at Cooper's beach for a few days we are having a relaxing day off exploring the local beaches. Hunted for this for a while before finding it with the hint. Wet legs on the way up due to long wet grass but worth it for the view. A relaxing lunch break at the top before heading down. TFTC
Last summer the idea was born to visit [Green]'New Zealand'[/Green], together with [url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url]
After some important decisions regarding the beginning of our trip, the flights, the general route and the car were made, the most important question was still unanswered: which caches can we visit during our tour [?]
To get an answer for this topic I was fetching almost every cache from both islands [8)][:X]
[url=http://coord.info/PR3NXJG][red]'MimiNemo'[/red][/url] and I love [Teal]'Geo-Arts'[/Teal]...so we added all these cache series to our wish list
After this decision was made this list was more than 300 puzzle caches long...unsolved puzzle caches
Two weeks before Christmas it was getting time to start solving all these mystery caches
Even with the different language I could find almost every solution
In the case I was not so successful I was contacting some of the CO's...and was always getting help from them...many thanks for this support [:X]
During the following weeks our cache list was growing and growing...meanwhile more than 1000 caches long...too long for a simple bookmark list from GC
Time to get our route and caches in sync...time to save the PQ's to our Garmins...time to start this holiday:
Chapter 27: [red]Taipa[/red] to [green]Cape Reinga[/green] and back to [blue]Kaitaia[/blue]
On our trip to the far north we were exploring some places at the '90 miles beach'...and of course we were looking for some caches along our way
This was one of these caches
I would like to thank all the cache owners for showing us these great places and maintaining all these caches,

Had a lovely swim on the beach below. Kids loved the surf but found it tiring. Managed to convince them to come on a little walk/cache. Promised we could return to the beach and cool off before heading home. The kids loved climbing the amazing Pohutakawa trees and the long springy grass. A nice area and an easy find, thanks
Afternoon beach session with family. Quick geocache hunt and then back into the water. TFTC
No bug...so dropped one off. Not an easy climb with baby on your back!!! Beautiful view.
Out for a run and decided to collect this one as I thought it was close to the beach.
Unfortunately, my approach was not the smartest and I found myself scrambling up a rocky outcrop and searching the most obvious tree. As with previous loggers, this was not the quickest way to secure the cache.
Having secured the cache, I surprised some holiday makers as I took a gentle stroll back to the beach, before continuing my run!

#533 Found this one after wandering from Cooper's End cache- what a spot!!! Neither of us had been up here before and the views were to die for. While we were up on the hill it was sunny and hot but just as we were going to explore the hidden bay we noticed rain clouds approaching from Hihi.... didn't look like it would be long before we were soaked, I guess we will have to come back to explore some more. The cache contents were in a poor state, there was goop all over the bottom and the contents apart from the log were wet. The pen also didn't work so we replaced it with a pencil and cleaned up the cache as best as we could and took the manky swag. TFTC- great location!
Cache is a little damp but thats expected seeing its hidden so well. Make sure you climb to the top of the hill to see the fantastic views. One of the best views we have seen.
A favorite point from us. TFTC

A great reason to take a walk through the reserve and climb up to see the views. Had to go deep for this find - needed to remove sunnies it was so dark down there! Left a little kiwi memento, hope it survives the gunk in the cache. TFTH
Great trek in on this glorious day - still quite wet underfoot in parts but we made it!!
Well this was quite a detour but so worth it for the views from the top. A beautiful part of the coast. TFTC and thanks for bringing us here. A fav from me for the location and I am so enjoying the bigger caches in the north.
Out with Hokiangler enjoying the sunshine. Good walk and fab views from here thanks.
Loved the tracks, but not the doo doos left by the dog dogs. nice easy find, and lots of fun TFTC
Found while touring Northland from Te Anau with The Italian Job from Auckland. TFTC

My GPS took me past the clue to another growth so i did need the clue although as I went past I thought humm that would be good spot
should have gone for the obvious right from the start. Instead I spent some time bushwacking. Love the smell of gorse
Visiting family in NZ from Australia. Staying at beautiful Coopers Beach for a few days. Enjoyed the walk to the cache - beautiful scenary along the way (and some dog-walking muggles). T:Canadian Coin, L:Koala Keyring. TFTC.
A nice walk in an area we'd not discovered before. Caught a break in the showers. Cache is OK, log book still able to be written on, if a little bit damp. T4TC.
On our way to Cape Reinga we first stopped at this wonderful beach (and on our way back again) and found this box quite "down under" and very packed with toys so I took a trade out without replacing it and will take it along to a cache in Germany. TFTC!
Great spot for a cache! I tried to make it very exciting by slipping off the path but stopped before falling off. Log need maintenance - quite damp.
Hardcachers found this after a second look. Seemed such a good spot it had to be in there...
Found it. Just a note there seems to be a lot of wasps in the area, we removed a nest that was right beside the cache so just keep an eye out. Thanks for the cache
(256) first find of the day on another beautiful day in the north.
Great spot, great view.
Logbook was a bit damp.

Nice spot, had to wait for a couple of kayak fisherman to leave before bagging the cache.TFTc.
One of my favorite things about geocaching is finding places along the way that you could pass by and never see, but it gets u to get up and out to see such wonderful places. For Zarinian and me, this is one such place. The view was spectacular, the weather perfect. Many many thanks! We dont have such views here in Florida
As we stayed for the night in coopers beach we decided for a beach walk in the afternoon. Was quite wet but in the sun it was a really nice walk. It was just a little bit exploration work to find the grassy way to the hill...nice lookout. Tftc!
Beautiful spot @ sunset. Needs a new plastic bag, pencil, and geocaching instructions. Left two finger puppets.
Found it - but a bit late logging it on the Geocache site!! One of so many beautiful places we saw during our all too short 3 weeks in NZ!! TFTC, TNLN, SL.

Team follower was out ahead but completely overlooked the cache. Team leader was the finder. Despite all the years he'd spent at this beach he'd never been up here.. too busy out at sea. Found the "deafness is no impediment" TB which seemed so appropriate to take..one of us with hearing aids and the other just diagnosed with Meniere's. Left a "keep trying" stamp. Thanks for the incentive to explore this reserve.
Out and about up north with Rosmar. A pleasant walk on a grassy track, with views over 2 lovely beaches. Located GZ from a distance so did not need to use the GPS. Even so the cache took a few moments to locate. Nice hide. Thanks for showing us this lovely place.

Found during our Labour Weekend out and about up north raid with kiwicouple. Great photo opportunities from GZ, thanks for sharing this place T4TC.
Took ages to find this one even though we found the location straight way. Definitely losing our touch these days
Cache was very damp inside. Did our best to dry it out

With limited time, and a long drive ahead, we could only do a few caches that required walks. When we came to this cache, we were intrigued by what was written in one of the previous log. Very glad that we stopped here as it turned out to be one of the best and most scenic cache yet! We were most impressed by the grassy-green tracks that gently meandered along the rolling lush landscape and decorated by the occasional tree or shrub. It was like out of a page of a fairy-tale made all the more perfect by a brilliant blue sky dotted by wisps of cotton-white clouds. Far below, a tranquil beach called out but alas we did not have the time to stay longer. Closer to GZ, the dry grass under our feel was comfortable to walk or sit on and we did just that as we signed the log after finding the cache. It caches like this that make us appreciate what great places exists around us. Thanks nalawod for sharing this wonderful spot.
