CaptainVimes and I have crossed the ditch to attend the Geo Toroa mega in Dunedin and tour around the South Island for two weeks. That was an unexpected find and, although I tried, it's hard to be stealthy here. Thanks kiwi-nomad and happy caching
Nice hide on this one! No muggles around as caching on a wet wet day...river high so no more looking around this area today! TFTC!
Day #4 Blenheim to Nelson - The Mega New Zealand ExperienceA chance for an overseas Mega was too good to pass up. Especially with half the state seeming to be attending also. I set about some last minute planning. Flights still available Accommodation found Mode of transport securedLooks like its time to cross the ditch. Ive never visited the South Island before so it is bound to be a fun filled trip. After a lovely stop in Blenheim overnight (with a bonus wood fireplace!), it was off to Nelson today via Picton. Now this is a cool hide. Im curious as to what the object once was! This is definitely worth a favourite.A big thanks goes to kiwi-nomad for taking the time to add Boxon (Nelson / Marlborough) to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
Out enjoying a bike ride along here this afternoon, nice and quiet at GZ today. Great hide here, definitely a FP for the cool cache, TFTC
1MinnieMoo and I pulled up for this one next. Though feeling somewhat uncomfortable, we came up with the cleverly crafted cache when the coast was clear. TFTC kiwi-nomad
27/9/2023 Find #6643Day 19 of the Fangsoki/1MinnieMoo New Zealand South Island adventures. We are currently staying in Nelson for a couple of nights, and had a list of target caches we wanted to find. This one had managed to make it onto our list due to its number of favourite points, and as we had just visited the centre of New Zealand, we made the short journey around here once we were back down at the car. I must admit I always wonder about toilet block caches. Not exactly the sort of place you want to hang around or be touching too many things at. Thankfully this one was a secure and well created cache, and we quickly had ourselves a good find. Thanks for the cache kiwi-nomad.
With all the fav points, this was the main reason for choosing a walk in this area, but left it for the end.
Nice quick find, this could be very tricky with more people around!!
Cool way how it's done, added more swaps taking advantage of finally finding a slightly bigger "container".
I love when owners put the extra effort in the "box", well done.
Thank you kiwi-nomad.

Cache still there. I added log book, pencil, sharpener and trinkets. All good to go
If it is meant to be where i think it is meant to be it is very clever, but its not there. Could not find it
Cache still there but empty. Expect Muggles found it. I will try to go back and set up the cache again with log book and trinkets.
Was an amazing feeling when I found it woohhooo my first time trying this going to have so much fun with the kids
2cnd visit as for lots of muggles 2 and 4 legged kind but was an easy find on a rainy day cheers for hiding
First cache of the morning and second visit to GZ had us signing the log. First attempt was aborted with too many muggles lurking around, despite us waiting a long time for an opportunity to investigate how on earth this cache was hidden. Great camouflage TFTC
We are in Nelson hunting for a house to buy before we make the move here. I got a few minute's furlough this morning, so I came here to make a quick find.
I was all ready to Google the name, thinking it was a New Zealand tree or bush, but then just went to see what I got close to. Hmmmm. What I found was not what I thought. As I looked around, I found something of interest and the cache. TFTC.

Fantastic cache. A favourite point from me. Found and moved on my way up the valley but didn't sign log as too many muggles. Grabbed quickly when I was heading back. A lovely day for a walk.
Quick find while on smoko. Have been doing weed control in the area and checked to see if any caches were around. Introduced some of my work mates to geocaching. What a great hide. Tftc
Stopped here so we can go for a walk along the cycle trail. I boxed on here for a quick snag and tag. Cheers.
Its Wellington Anniversary weekend and The Seagnoid is heading south. So its a weekend away with Zara, Toby and The Seagnoid with the main focus on LAB caches around Nelson and Tasman. And a day around Marlborough for cache maintenance and phone maintenance. Another awesome weekend.

I needed to go to the loo so stopping here seemed to be a good idea even though I have already found this cache. But the dragon hadn't. By the time I came out she was still hunting but had it a moment later. With no help from me. Well done her!
It's Wellington Anniversary so what better thing to do to celebrate than to... leave! I hopped on a plane and headed over to Nelson and met up with Taybeedragon for a couple of days of adventure labbing in Nelson then to Blenheim on Monday for some cache maintenance and to pick up a huge swag of ammo cans (it's not what you know, it's who you work for!)

I returned the cache the same day. I replaced the worn plastic baggie and put in several trade items. The cache should be good for quite a while now.
Got the cache. Too many muggles to put back. Will take cache and bring it back later today. Will replenish cache.
Last time I came here there were hundreds enjoying the warm weather so abandoned the search. Today on a bike ride up the Maitai and nobody at all here. Made for a quick find with another clever cache hide. Thanks for the cache.
Very clever cache... managed to spot carefully from a distance while waiting for muggles to leave. TFTC
Dropped of a new log book and checked out cache, pleased to report it's all good
