This cache had come up in so many conversations, over and over again, so finally over last weekend we planned to attempt this cache this evening. So its all on for WayneAPN and I This was not easy for so many reasons. Its a bloody long way through these tunnels, dark, although they were fairly tidy in terms of rubbish, not much water about, its the bending over walking in a stooped position (Im 61 tall) that gets you.The other thing that hit us badly was the heat down there and the humidity..needed a change of clothes by the time we exited Found the cache at the end of our journey, nicely tucked away in its hidey hole. That magnet took some brute force to get the container out Log signed much to our relief. An extraordinary adventure (not for the faint hearted) and justifies yet another favourite pointTFTC Zytheran
What can I say. Man oh man, what a top cache and top adventure to finally get the prize.Yesterday was 41c and today was 30c and raining. So that made the conditions hot and HUMID!! I have just come back from the Solomon Islands and thought I would have aclimatised to the humidity, WRONG!! The tunnel system was hot, humid, no wind and damp. The adventure to this one was absolutely epic. Just love tunnels, caves, drains etc. Only thing not to like [as you get older] is the stooped position you are in, and for 2kms was a lot. Back is telling me so now.Great to get this one which has been on my wish list for far too long. Teamed up with Cheezel1961, and today was the day. He being taller than me, I felt sorry for him. Nice finish to get this one a smiley face. Most def a FPTFTC SL
This morning the plan had been to kayak but the weather forecast for today didn’t look great so another adventure was planned.
This involved wellingtons, UV torch, torch and bringing a change of clothes (not required)
Fun day of caching only 11 for the day including 2 treks through drains and a celebration event.
We started off at the prerequisite multi and then headed here to head into the drains. Quick pAF before we went in just to make sure we had everything we needed and what to expect. Text the husband to make sure he knew where I was and they start coords.
I was expecting rats thankfully none were seen. Lots and lots of cockroaches. It was fairly humid in the tunnels but the directions seemed to be straight forward although was a little bit scared by the intricate puzzle/cipher/map.
Hints in prior log helped us at GZ and Allister made the find with his gloves on. That’s one strong magnet!
The lock was well seized and even with a lot of Wd40 we had a struggle to open. Definitely needs some CO attention.
TFTC Zytheren this was such a fun adventure and was happy to make it out alive!! Again glad there were no rats and not much water.

Found out for fun walk down underground drain with allister , sir_spectre an JAM's crew
I did Ultraviolet on 12.2.2017 with rod81w. We never did get around to even starting this cache, we just keep getting side tracked chasing the many game piece trackables around Adelaide and this cache got forgotten.
The JAMS crew were planning their monthly adventures together and the plan i made this month was to go kayaking off the Port Adelaide boat ramp to the nearby island and find those caches. 7 days before i checked the weather, the forecast was 15 km winds, 4 days before it changed to 15 to 27 km winds. I cancelled that trip and had to rethink a new plan.
Keeping to the adventure theme i forwarded the drain caches as a idea. The crew agreed and we invited TallBikeStan as well. We meet at Ultraviolet at 930 and entered the drain system there since only i have found this cache before. Laighside Legends is right, that tag is unreadable in white or UV light it's just a blank black tag. Lucky i found it before and off to the final to get the cipher key in the lid of the final.
At the start point of this cache i wasn't expecting 2 drain entrances. Doesn't matter they join up farther down at the first camber. Going down the drains farther we hit another chamber, again wasn't expecting to climb into the drain that was shoulder height but all part of the adventure. Also turns out that some of the graffiti is painted in UV paint too. Keep going and collecting the clues for the padlock combo as we go. Get to the location of final chamber and start looking for the cache. Allister is the one who finds the cache and now understands why i said bring gloves. Spray the padlock with alot of WD-40 spray and try to free up the spring in the padlock. The numbers spin slowly but the button wont push in to release the lock. We all try but allister works some magic and gets it open, finally. I fun adventure had by all and 446 days unloved. fav point for the location.

The JAMMS team rejoined for an adventurous day out exploring and grabbing a few high D and T caches as well as visiting a few some of us had DNFed previously.
This was our major target for the day. I found the biggest challenge not being over 6 foot nor particularly agile was getting myself up and over the high point. If i had realised a milk crate would have been brought along. But oh well hopefully this might help someone else vertically challenged.
Thanks to Zytheran from mogni

A fun adventure with the JAMS crew. I really enjoyed the adventure to get to the cache. At the end I made the find. Like the others have said the lock needs some attention. Favourite for the adventure. TFTC Zytheran & four-fun
A JAMS day out had been organised, but this was version 2 after the original plan was aborted and involved drains and UV light, then a few other caches that some of us hadn't found as well as attending a Celebration event on the way home. A fun day exploring some places I had not been to before.
After visiting the multi to get the info we needed for this one we headed off after spraying mozzie repellant as a precaution. We found ourselves at the starting tunnel and made a phone call to a previous finder to make sure we knew what to expect before heading off into the labyrinth. It was a fun walk until we got to the part where the two shorties had trouble. Upward and onward and eventually made it to GZ where Allister made the find. It then took a long time and lots of WD40 before the lock opened, but eventually it opened and the log stamped. Lots of graffiti in the tunnels and lots of UV paint. I enjoyed the fun adventure, something I would never have thought about if not for geocaching.
Thanks for the cache and adventure Zytheran & four-fun.

This evening, gridge98, weredunn4 and I targeted Ultraviolet and Beyond Ultraviolet. We had prepared for the adventure that laid ahead of us, ensuring we had the right weather to not cause us any grief. Following that drain adventure, I returned back home via Morialta.
What an adventure this one was! We had heard about this geocache from others at various events in the past, and we were certainly keen to give this one a go. We had wanted to complete this last summer, but must have slipped off the radar, and then when we remembered, the rains had started early and winter was once again upon us. So another season had passed, and we started floating the idea of this adventure. Three of us were keen, and so we set a date for after work, after a period of hot weather. We thought that at least it would be nice and cool subterranean, or so we thought. We had completed our preparations by talking to a few previous finders, prepared the puzzle (including input from the previously found *Ultraviolet* multi-cache clue), and gathered our PPE together.
We set off into the underworld of Adelaide, seeing various references to the Cave Clan. I had considered enquiring to these guys, thinking tagging along with them would be some fun adventures (after enjoying the drain walks/crawls near the Wine Centre), and so at least this was another world to explore. The bigger drains were rather fun, but there were certainly some smaller drain sections requiring never-ending squat walks before resting and stretching at each adjoining chamber.
We arrived at what we thought was the exit, and had a brief search for the cache there, but after our initial DNF attempt, and knowing we had to continue anyway to collect the required padlock numbers, we left it, and kept going. We visited the "candle room" / "wonderland" (as the drain graffiti informed us), and then continued along until we hit the dead-end. At least we found a few sources of the required numbers/symbols, and after having a rest and chat, we headed back. There were certainly some lengthy spider webs within this section! Also the drain diameter had shortened, while the length was the longest (perhaps it just felt like that?!).
Once we arrived back to the exit chamber, we had another look around, with a more diligent search. Sure enough, the last finders had just hidden the cache very well, and so with weredunn4's gloves, managed to retrieve the cache. We all had an attempt at unlocking the padlock, but it was gridge98 who seemed to press the right buttons, and allowed us access to the interior of the cache and the logbook. Apart from the padlock, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. The padlock is definitely on the way out, and probably needs to be replaced soon. The next finders may wish to bring a can of WD40 to loosen the padlock up a little. Thanks Zytheran and four-fun for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. An Awesome adventure - Favourite Point from me!

What Gridge and Wazza said!
An epic adventure organised by DavidWazza and Gridge98 after a dry spell before some rain was forecast. This was my first drain caching experience and can thoroughly recommend this cache. The field puzzle with the clues and the amazing location made this a cache to remember. We started the walk up the tunnels which were thankfully clean and mostly dry apart from a small trickle of water, with numerous cockroaches and the odd spider spotted. Making our way upstream from chamber to chamber we eventually came to an area which likely held a cache. Had a brief look but didnt find it. Continued upstream to the end of the tunnels where we encountered a dead-end, clearing a multitude of spider webs (looks like that tunnel hasnt been visited for many months), and then returned to have a better look (feel) in the location previously visited - sure enough - there was the cache - deeper down, and required a forceful pull due to a strong magnet. Then we set about opening it, which took a few minutes due to the combination/padlock being a little sticky. Gridge was successful and the cache was opened and the logbook signed. We were underground for about and hour and a half until we exited at the shortcut under the heavy grate which took 2 of us to lift.
Thankyou Zytheran and four-fun! Fav point for the amazing location and adventure!

I have had this on my to do list for quite some time but it was all a matter of when. Davidwazza mentioned that we should have a go at this a while ago and so we got weredunn4 on board for a night out.
After talking to previous finders for some helpful hints and safety information we set off into the underground world. With only a trickle of water on the ground the tunnels were fairly safe. We continued through and were relieved at each chamber to stand up and stretch ourselves out. After a long walk through and a few laughs we came to the obvious chamber where the cache was to be located. Weredunn4 put his hand in but nothing found expect for a light. Oh well we continued all the way to the end of the larger drains so though having to crawl through. But after reading previous logs it was back to our original location. In the hand went again quite deep this time and the cache was found. The cache was passed around in the efforts to get the lock open and with a bit of skills on my behalf the cache was open. What an adventure and a bit of a fun one. If only there were more of these.
Today with no plans at all besides my morning event and meeting Davidwazza and Weredunn4 for an evening drain adventure, I decided to spend the whole day caching around the suburbs collecting caches. With the perfect weather around it made for an enjoyable and long day out.
All in total 53 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

Started this one 14 years ago, didn't get far, as decided best not attempt on my own, and take smarter people with me for their brain power!
Fast forward to last few summers, after missing a cpl of prior opportunities to tag-a-long, a few attempts at getting said smarter group together finally occurred tonight.
The intrepid foursome set out, without get a drop of wet stuff on us... although same cannot be said of the red stuff pouring from Brisal's scone which sits higher than the rest of us! lol
Info was collected, cipher de-ciphered, cache found, and then the frustrating part of being so close but not being able to sign the logbook!
(Insert AnyMules log here).
Glad to finally do a 5/5 that is not a challenge cache nor involving a kayak!
Thanks Zytheran, only a handful left of yours to finish now...
Some TLC on the non-waterproof cache maybe in order, as the container was actually full of silt also.
TNLNSL
Thanks
PS... 1857 days of unloved days too. (5 years and 1 months worth)

This one was on the hit list today with a few other geocachers we had planned an attack. It had been put off a couple of times due to the weather, but today was spot on. We met up at the start coordinate at 6;00pm.
A nice long walk underground following the marked and collecting info.
We got to GZ and found the cache eventually and then we had to open it.
With all the info we had collected we were sure we had the right numbers, but the lock, full of years of gunk wasn’t wanting to be friendly.
About 10mins of four of us taking turns fiddling with it, it finally popped.
Woo hoo! Another -Z- log book signed. The original “replacement” log was very stuck together, so we added an additional log book with out names.
Thanks for the cache Zytheran & four-fun.

My caching goals for 2020. May as well aim high.
Complete the Calendar to have found both a mystery and a multicache on every day. Should be able to do one probably not both. [^]
After filling the calendar to have a minimum of 5 caches per day last year, let's try for 11 this year. Possible but not probable.
So today I just needed to find well - none of the above This was all about one cache only. A cache I had been watching for a long long time. Well ever since 3/2/2017 when I did Ultraviolet and got the clue for this cache. Since then I have been enquiring (pestering) my caching friends to organize an adventure to go after this cache. Today was that day!
Four of us gathered at the start point and commenced the journey. [^] At this point I will point out that a lot of the drains to follow are about 5'8" in diameter and I am just over 6 foot. My 3 companions are more or less tunnel size and hardly had to bend very much where I was stooped with my head on the side most of the way. As they streaked ahead of me at a normal walking pace I tried to keep up and invariably my posture elongated and was shortly followed by the sound of skull cracking ceiling. There was blood. There is always blood in a Z cache but usually from blackberries. [B)][B)] After 3 or 4 cracks to the nogging I was no longer keeping up in the narrower tunnels. Before completing the cache I had to stop and rest my aching back whilst the others seemed to merrily skip along without problem. [:(!] I think I will write a new cautionary tale and call it Bloodilocks and the three Dwarves. A bit harsh on my shorter of stature friends perhaps.
The exploration was mostly dry and finally we had numbers needed and made our way to the cache chamber where the prize was located and Hurtle undertook a Herculean struggle with the Uber-magnet to free it from the lair. In the 5 or so years since it was last located there had been several floods and the lock was now dry by completed silted up. Cue the elevator music for the next half an hour or so whilst the dials were rotated as small silt fell with every turn. Finally the wheels turned and the numbers aligned but the clasp was likewise silted. Another ten minutes of manipulation and the shackle rotated enough to get the lock free. Oh dear. the cache was also full of now dry silt and the log book, although dry completely welded in one piece. Cleaned out as best we could we added a new log book with our names for future users and after a further ten minutes got the lock back on and dials rotating again.
Yes another great Zee cache off my bucket list and another FP for me. Despite the bad back and bloodied head would I do it all again. Yep. Adventure caches like these are few and far between.
***Thanks Zytheran for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Gotcha!
Ye Gads! Has it actually been over a week since this adventure? They say time flies when you are having fun. But it also flies when both work and non-work life (you know, that stuff you do when you are not out geocaching) both stack up against you and make you as busy as a one-armed taxi driver with crabs!
In any case, with this cache representing the closest unsolved "?" cache to my home, I expressed an interest in attacking it with TM. He informed me that CoC and M! also had it on their radar, and that an assault before Christmas would be organised.
In the mean-time, a couple of other puzzlers entered the mix so, on the day in question, I had the pleasure of meeting Brad&Janet and grumpi68. Interestingly, grumpi68 is anything but grumpi, and Brad&Janet appeared to be only one person whose name is neither Brad nor Janet. What!?!?
In any case, the motley and soon to be dirty half dozen exchanged pleasantries, chose a tunnel, and charged forth into the unknown. Or at least the unknown for those of us that had never been here before.
Chambers were found, clues were spied, notes were taken, artwork was admired, and the lives of several of CoC's distant cousins were brought to an untimely end.
Eventually we reached a point where olfactory senses were setting off alarms to the point where those with more medical knowledge than myself convinced us all that discretion was the better part of valour. With the puzzle already solved by some of the group, enough information to solve it gathered by the others, and a pressing need for asprin from another, we decided to make straight for the cache.
Said cache was soon located, opened, and signed by all and sundry. Cheers and smiles all around, and a couple of celebratory "tags" were left behind.
Thanks to my 5 compatriots, and even more thanks to the big "Z", for being part of my second 5x5 cache.
ZZzz..

ZZzz..

13.12.14 tftc dine with the help of brad&janet , took a bit of time but well worth the effort
From the number of recent finds, you might think this was an easy puzzle and find cache. I mean really? [:o]
With a party of six: *Cache or Check*, The4Zimmers, Tiger Muffin, Brad&Janet, Grumpi68, & Malco!, we ventured into the subterranean world (the second time in a week for TM,4Z&M!).
Armed with some foreknowledge from a previous reconnaissance, we cruised up the pipes, pausing at the wider opening to read the messages of past adventurers, and to pick up more clues. *CoC*, being a tall lad, kept grazing his head along the top of the pipe, while TM had a gutsa on the mud and drew blood. Up the gentle slope we walked, along with more cockroaches and the odd spider.
Finally, we came to the end, and with a mighty thud, *CoC* headbutted the concrete leaving a large dent. I'm sure that spoiled his afternoon. While he recovered on the ground, the cache was discovered and did our duty by signing the attendance card.
A shortcut to freedom was discovered and we squeezed our way to the outside. I'm sure to gain a kilo or so over Christmas, so I'm glad I got this done before then. The Wheelchair Guard was gone by then so we didn't need to explain ourselves as why we were there.
Then back to the start to pickup our vehicles and to brag about our success.
Woohoo! Another 5/5 Zytheran notch on my GPS. TFTC, Zytheran & Four Fun

This is a physically EXTREME style cache - it's no Hex Hell
Please attempt this with at least one other person - TICK, we brought 6.
Let someone know where you are going - I assume the other 5 did?
Allow for at least 2 hours caching and take drinking water, it's hot work - cooler than the outside and completed in 1hr15min.
Take spare lights, sturdy footwear with good grip and gloves - TICK
In times of heavy rain this cache will be extremely difficult and potentially hazardous as it will be slippery - slippery regardless.
Please be aware you will come across huge flying insects, large spiders of various sorts and potentially rats and lost poisonous snakes - YEP, saw most of that.
An army of men entered the darkness. The words still ringing in my ears from B&G to CoC (mainly because CoC was behind me); "Did you bring protection?". Heads down, some further than others, we ventured through the tunnel collecting info as we went. Taking advantage of the opportunity to stretch the back muscles a little. After a few kms of, at times, back-bending work, we reached an endpoint. We ventured further but the smell of a fresh manicure emanated from deep within so we turned back. It was considered that sufficient info had been gleaned (and it helped that our party had a pre-solver of the puzzle but the number to open the cache was needed). Funny that few seem to mention the obvious error in the text. Hmmmmm.........
Shortly after an almighty THUD was heard, the sound of concrete meets cockroach. The cache was located shortly after and the log signed by all. We even found the protection that Sef needed in the cache, although I'm not sure it would have helped prevent the bump on his head. A trek to the tight exit made shortly after. The supervisor had taken a break.
A further step to Z nirvana another 5/5 for the grid.
Cheers to the team of 4Z, Malco!, CoC, B&J and grumpi68 and massive TFTC Z. No bees, no hospital visits, no rocks, just darkness. Congrats to B&J on his 500th cache, he has only scratched the surface I fear.

It’s been nearly 3 years since I completed Ultraviolet. One of the underground caches a group of us did back in January 2012. “We’ll try and do BUV in a few weeks”, we uttered.
11 seasons have come and gone since. Every time I would do a list of unfound unknowns in Adelaide, BUV would come up on page 1, taunting me.
Finally after Brad & Janet recently started to take a particular liking to underground caches, a plan was hedged.
Finally the cache page was opened again and its contents studied, the symbols interpreted and the puzzle attacked. Hmmm, I think I know how this thing hangs together. Theoretically I may be able to solve it without needing the keys hidden in the drains. And despite the error in the puzzle that thwarted my attempts, the text was found load and clear.
Armed with this knowledge and armed with the knowledge B&J and Grumpy68 obtained via an earlier reconnaissance, we were ready to formulate a strike.
The CACHING team was gathered, the weather gods were prayed to (a big downpour just three days ago nearly upset our plans), an exit strategy was implemented. Suitable attires were donned, batteries, lights and meters checked and we were ready for the journey to the centre of the earth.
Despite a slip up from TM, a bit of residual water and mud and a few grazes of scone on concrete, the trip went as smooth as we could expect.
Through the twins, past the waterfall, into the cafe and the canasta room. The artwork was admired, some just art for art sake, some useful to our expedition. And finally, albeit quicker than we expected we entered the location where the cache was said to be hidden.
In my haste to further explore the area, I forgot we were still subterranean and with a mighty thud the top of my head met a rather immovable object. Ouch, that hurt!
We had plans to go further upstream to find some more required artwork, but with a bit of a stench emanating from said pipes and with me still seeing stars, we decided to make a beeline for the cache container. After all, we had already solved the puzzle and had obtained the other bit of vital information.
Before executing our exit strategy I did feel that I needed to add to the existing art work (my payback to the concrete wall I had a close-up encounter with). Not my best artwork, but it’ll be there forever now.
A big thanks to my travel compatriots and a big congrats to B&J for achieving their 500th find.
It was a mini milestone for me as well as this was my 50th 5 star difficulty cache.
What a shame these type of caches are no longer allowed to be created.

Grumpi68 and I reconnoitred the first few pipes of the system about 4 weeks ago. We did not feel adequately equipped to continue then, so retired for another day.,
In the meantime another group expressed an interest and so today a group of 6 of us met to conquer this challenge.
*Cache_or_Check, Malco!, The4Zimmers, and Tiger_Muffin added to myself and Grumpi68. Sadly as with previous underground caches Janet had pressing alternative business.
*CoC* had managed to solve the puzzle a couple of weeks ago and encouraged by this and him I had managed to do the same thing. *CoC* identified an apparent error in the puzzle which results in three lines on the diagram being inaccurate (or alternatively an error in the key obtained from UV).
Duely kitted up we met at the assigned place and time. We had safety equipment, light sources covering various spectra, water, and a gas analyser. Perhaps some helmets may have been useful in retrospect?
We entered the parallel paths and began our journey. At each stage we looked to find Z sign, and find it we did. We saw waterfalls, a candle room, and a cafe. We found numbers, symbols, and even a trio to remember. One of our party slipped and drew blood but fortunately this did not attract extra nasties!
Eventually the light began to dawn and shine on us. Unfortunately perhaps dazzled by the light, one of our team struck a poor unprotected concrete roof edge with his bony skull reinforced by a fabric cap. Stars were seen. Seats were taken and a pause was had. fortunately no lasting damage had been done to the concrete. The next stage of the journey was aborted after a strong toxic chemical smell rapidly became apparent and a retreat from this section was made. By this time enough information had been gathered to solve the puzzle and two of us had done so already.
The cache was located, unlocked, and the log duly signed. 13/12/2014 TNLNSL.
TFTC Zytheran and four-fun.
And a big thanks to *Cache_or_Check*, Malco!, Tiger_Muffin, The4Zimmers, and Grumpi68 for the company and friendship on the day
A 5:5 to celebrate the 500th cache and 50th puzzle cache found by B&J

How quickly the plans for the day can change!
I had planned a quite night at home after work, early tea and early bed...instead it ended up being an early tea cooked by muggle partner as I quickly changed from work clothes into draining clothes, then a quick drive to the meeting point, lots of kms of underground hiking and finally a 1.30am bedtime!! Finally managed to find Ultraviolet and then Beyond Ultraviolet as well as 1 more smiley for me, before ending the night on a DNF
A fantastic way to spend an evening with some great people [^]
After the car convoy to get to the start of Beyond UV, most of us dove into the depths to traverse the tunnel. We heard a little rain falling but our guide assured us that we were safe! We all wanted these two caches done prior to winter, too
Found the required information and also found our way from one end to the other
I loved that I hardly ever had to bend over in here and the only hard part was where I accidentally put my foot in Mrs 3LG's face while the others were all assisting me (read pushing and pulling me simultaneously) up the only difficult, for me, section of this journey. My apologies Mrs 3LG
We had a blast in here and very few spiders although quite a few cockroaches. Surprisingly, this was one very clean tunnel, unlike some of the others I have been in. [^]
It sure wasn't hot tonight and we commented on the amount of fresh air passing over our bodies which meant that we never felt stifled
A fantastic experience and well worth the wait to get here and undertake this fabulous journey! [^]

What a epic cache this one is, i love tunnel caches and this one was sure to please me, with cachers far smarter than me they did all the hard calculation stuff and i was the lead person clearing the cobwebs for them, didn't see any rats like i have done with a different cache, would have been cool tho to see a few to keep things even more interesting, at last i can cross this one of my list and i hope there is many more drain caches awaiting me : ) TFTC
Out for some urban caving caches with a group, having got some info from a previous cache, geared up in we go.
turn, scrape, climb, wriggle, turn some more, hunch over a bit there, we finally make it to GZ. Are you serious? We could have come from that direction? *rolls Eyes* Lets just say exiting was slightly faster then entering.
We meet up with Chrispy.

Not sure this type of caching is my thing but ventured off in a group so didn't feel so bad.
Glad it decided not to rain as would not have done.
Lots of laughter and chitchat along the way.
Took trackables to visit.

Having led a group on an assult on another tunnel cache earlier in the summer, some of my compatriots were very keen to grab a few others before the Autumn and Winter rains arrived. I have wanted to do Beyond Ultraviolet ever since I discovered caching a little over two years ago, and with rain predicted for tomorrow, tonight it had to be. Our group, which consisted of a very experienced caver entered completely full of confidence and optimism. Of course, that will only get you so far...
The journey was make at various stages upright, crouched and on all fours, combined with a few brief stops to admire all the artwork. We even spotted a giant Freddo! Eventually we reached the end of the line puzzle wise and proceeded to the exit (of sorts) and after the very cool cache container was signed we emerged. Easily the best cache I have ever done and a very, very, very well earned favourite from me.

w00t! I'd had my eye on this since discovering this cache online during my last visit to Adelaide. I'd sounded out the NZ Fun team to gauge interest but was uncertain if we'd be able to hit this up.
On the final day with alpenmilch80 and Cats&Dragons we were looking at what we could do on the previous day and agreed between us to give this a crack.
After sorting out our gear we hit the tunnels. I quickly learnt to avoid the cockroaches after a brief encounter and we continued in further, noting some interesting clues. Before long we had the cache in hand and it was a matter of getting into it. We looked at the information we'd gathered and what we needed to access it quickly became clear.
Thanks for the awesome experience, it was certainly something new for me!

Second day on the road together with Cats&Dragons & Slieschke collecting geocaches in and around Adelaide. Signed the logs as “SAC” (and some with another letter combination).
The day before in the car the guys talked about Beyond Ultraviolet and we made the decision to give this one a go today. So off we went into the tunnels. The system about decoding the puzzle pieces became clear moving along the many tunnels. Luckily the only life creatures we saw were a lot of big cockroaches which I am already used to from Atlanta. Together with this awesome team this cache became a great experience. Gets a fav from me. TFTC

Collected on our final full day following the OZ MEGA at Murray Bridge and the need to collect caches (the Force) was still strong. Found in the company of Slieschke & Alpenmilch80, signed as SCA
We were certainly not entirely sure what we would be facing here so off three kiwis set against the wilds of suburbia and Adelaide. Tooled up with spare batteries and other devices off we set. It took a short while to work out what we needed to do and an observant Slieschke soon had the cache located after what seemed like an age of traipsing through the tunnels.
This was a great cache and worthy of a definite fav
All in all thanks for a great time while at Murray Bridge

I've been working on logging all my past caches so that I can re-join the statistical aspect of this game. I joined Liz & Bruce, Moneydork and the Drovers for this one when they offered, and put off working just long enough to experience this very neat cache. Well equipped, even with video, we set out into the tunnels to find our clues. To save time we split a few times to investigate tunnels and would yell to the other party when we had a new clue. I think one of the more memorable moments was the "love cave" - which I will not go into detail here why we called it that. Once we had all the clues we made our way back to the cache and excitedly signed the logbook. Thanks Z
This was a truly awesome experience - What a Mission!
Very well done. Filmed most of it on HD video.
Done with The Drovers and with Liz & Bruce

Well done thanks to Zytheran.

Went draining, found cache, forgot combination. Stuck a log in the backdoor. Tired now. Sleep.
will now log this seeing i have done the first but did it Squeaky when we came here earlier this year
The things I have to do and the challenges that I have to archive to drop TBs off. The tunnels were quite flooded after the downpour last night

Returned today to place the Sneakie Squeaky72 Pathtag in the cache for the next lucky contestant of this challenge. Still my favourite cache to date.
Whoops, I almost forgot to add the obligatory photo of the intrepid explorers before they risked life and limb in the deep dark recesses of unknown.
And of course we left our mark inside. And no-one ever said that Mr Tardis can draw well

Set off with Flipper&Co, TardisTrio, SushiLord and Team Scoobster. Once warmed up being hunched over was not so bad. Eventually had cache in hand. What a unique and challenging cache. Thanks Mr Z.
FINALLY... after being injured last week and only being able to manage Ultraviolet.. it was such a relief for both.. Mr and Mrs scoobster to be able to tick this one off the list.
Once again.. Mrs scoobster brought along coffee's and hot chocolate.. but most decided against having too much liquid.. so instead.. in the boys went.. and left Mrs scoobster and Mr Flipper to wait for the 'real men' to return (sorry Mark ).
What a long long walk.. or crouch.. or crawl which is what 6ft Mr scoobster had to do in the end... a few bouts of claustrophobia was had by Tardis.. (what better place to find out you have claustrophobia than 1km underground!).. finally get to the end.. realised Mr Scoobster has forgotten his pencil.. !!!...could have been a real disaster.. but fortunately the others had a pen!.. Signed the log.. left a message for fellow travelers.. and headed back.
Rang Mrs Scoobster and Mr Flipper to tell them we were safe.. "pancakes for the weary travellers".. BONUS.. thanks Mrs Scoobster..so we all headed back to the mystery machine for pancakes albeit sweaty, hot, and bothered... but accomplished!....!
FANTASTIC cache.. Highly recommend doing this one folks!

Received an SMS the other day hinting that an attempt at Ultraviolet and Beyond Ultraviolet was on and asking if I would like to join in. There was no need to ask me a second time.
Appropriately armed a group headed off into the dark underworld ready for anything apart from the cockroaches as big as horses, massive cobwebs (glad we didn't see the spiders) and some interesting artwork (either someone's got a good imagination or the models were super human in certain areas!!!) that we saw along the way. We didn't se any lost poisonous snakes though. It seems like some cachers are also taggers.
Onward and upward we tromped finding strange clues along the way, but things have now come together.
Cache was soon located and opened.
The taller of us got sore backs knees and hips, however the shortest was the only one to come out bearing any scars on his head!! Go figure. One member of the group discovered a fear that he didn't know he had, and I kept my fear under control.
Thanks Mrs Scoobster for the pancakes, a great way to celebrate our release from the depths.
Visiting a few travellers for the reward points befoer taking them west.
Thanks four-fun and Z for an excellent adventure. When is the next episode being released?

Visiting a few travellers for the reward points befoer taking them west.
Thanks four-fun and Z for an excellent adventure. When is the next episode being released?
After finding the necessary information at Ultraviolet, we began our adventure into the Beyond.
I sent a SMS to the wife on when we were expected out, waved goodbye to our support crew, and Mr Scoobster, SushiTrain, sushilord and Mr Tardis walked into a drain. Sound like the beginning of a joke.
After about 1km in, I start to feel a little anxious and question what the hell I was doing here It was hot, stuffy, cramped, and smelly. However I decided to push on, "all for one, and one for all" or something like that. I figured it was best not to think about the very recent seismic activity in New Zealand and Japan - such thoughts are really not useful when confined underground!
More crawling through pipes, and at one point I called out "No-one can say that I haven't earned by f***ing 10 stars for this one!" Laughter echoed.
At one point a beep beep was heard. We all stopped "What was that?!" Well it was my mobile phone receiving an SMS. It turns out Telstra reception is not all that bad, and I had mobile phone coverage for most of the journey!
At the 3/4 mark, a good spot was found for some natural light and much needed fresh air. This was a good antidote to me feeling closed in, and I enjoyed this place much more. Another of us was getting a very sore back, so a strategy of divide and conquer was used.
Two of us stayed back to work on the puzzle with the clues we had so far (which didn't go all that well, as some important info was missing) while the others when on to do the final 500m into the smaller pipe. 25 minutes later they returned triumphant with the rest of the clues.
The cache was found, unlocked and the log signed. Thank goodness for that. Can we go now?
Out we went, hopefully never to return
Off to the Scoobster's place for pancakes and a cup of tea! A great way to finish off a hard morning's work.
This is definitely the most challenging cache of the 850 I've done so far. We went on later to do another drain cache but being only 50m in far less claustrophobic!
Today marks day 223 of non-stop caching for Mr Tardis, and a very memorable day indeed!

Started the long walk at 10:00 with flipper and co and froghoppin and winterdragon and sqeaky72 we were down their for an hour and a half winding through all the different chambers and so fourth it took a while to find some clues but all in all it was great fun I cant wait to do it again winterdragon and froghoppin solved the final puzzle which was the key to the treasure chest. l have to do this again some time the best cache ever!!!![^][^][^][^][^][^][^]
[red]This is Squeaky72 100th Cache Find.[/red]
What a fantastic experience it was solving it and not to mention finding it. The cache had been on the cards to do for the Flippers&Co, Froghoppin And Winter Dragon. So when i got the call in the week to join them on this adventure i was only to pleased to accept. We started off at 9am having to do the first multi cache which was Ultraviolet to get the Cryptic clue to decipher the final location of this cache. At 10am we was at GZ for the start of what was going to be a long dark and mysterious Quest. With Touches and water in hand we headed off for the 2K hike. This was very exciting for me the Sneaky Squeaky because this was not only my first team cache but my first 5/5 rating. The two GeoKids led the way with touches in hand with us bigger kids behind. An all male team of cause we were big kids Lol. We came to the first clue and was eager to go on to the next. We come to the next Clue. Do we go Right or do we go Left. We decided to take the wet option on recommendation from Winter Dragon. This was the Longest part of the hike. No turning back now... We finally see a bit of light at the end but this was short lived as we had to continue on.. Another 1/2kms we came to a dead end. Had we missed something, Had we done a wrong turn. We looked up and see the final Clue. With all six of us heading back to the light so Froghoppin could Decipher the final clue to the location of the cache and not to mention the Code to open it..Well Done FrogHoppin,Flipper&Co and our Fantastic Tour Guide Winter Dragon for at the end after nearly two hours we had the cache in hand. It was Froghoppin spawn that opened it .And it was all of us that Signed It... Fantastic Cache. Brilliant concept and i will have to do it again just so i can drop off my Sneaky Squeaky PathTag.

Team "A"
OK this one has been on the "to do " list for quite a while now.
With a group of fellow cachers in tow, squeaky72 and spawn, froghoppin, Driftkid and Adrian, the thought of crossing this one of the list was too great to dismiss, so, after completing the "warm" up to this one it was agreed that we attack this cache. So after a refreshing drink supplied by Mrs. Scoobster, we drove to the starting point to this cache, we made sure that all torches were in good working order, an emergency plan talked about ( we decided to leave the leave the lame duck for the spiders/snakes/cockroaches and pick him/her up on the return journey (only if there was anything remaing)) we phone family and friends telling them that we love them and that they will miss us if anything goes wrong, goes wrong, goes wrong and duly proceeded to enter.
As we walked along, we noticed an odour coming from further out of our torch light and hoped the there was no dead rotting animals/ dead cachers that we may encounter.
entered the first "room" and duly noted the clues and after a brief rest and rehydration, we proceded further, Jeez glad it's not hot in here, this is tough work, glad i'm only 5 ft 4 tall, as I can walk upright and not stoop over like some of my intrepid friends.
arrived at the second room and recorded the hints, a few managed to climb up to the next level, mmmm where's the ladder when you need it ???? or is it that I need to lose a kilo or 30 ????
Now we had to stoop over, mmm how much further???? at another room we had a multiple choice on where to go, a tunnel seemed to scream out " PICK ME, PICK ME" so pick it we did and ended up in a dead end, whats going on here ??? ahhh another clue, WOOO HOOO, so back we go.
With myself leading, we were almost standing up as we made our way further up this system, walking, walking, hey, whats that??? light up ahead, yep, sure was, Wooo Hooo, took another quick break to enjoy some slightly fresher air, we headed onto the final phase, mmm another smaller tunnel, oh well hear goes, more spiders/cockys to walk over, encountered another room and noted the hints, getting warmer up here now, signs of other cachers prior visits, left a few signs of our own to show were were here, came to the final room and collected the last of the puZZle pieces, now, back to an area to work out the puzzle. Mr. Froghoppin worked out the puzzle and the last piece of the puzzle seemed to just slide in place, quickly found what we were searching for after a short time we had the cache open, what a GR8 feeling, photos were taken, cache replaced and we then headed back to where we started, all in all an enjoyable 2 1/2 hours of walking thru Adelaides storm water system.
As we walked back to the cars, I wondered that if Mr. Z has another cache of this type of cache to put into place as so we can enjoy some more of this type.
Many thanks, we enjoyed todays adventures and want to try a few others like this.

WELL DONE Z MAN and 4FUN
Our intrepid team of cachers having mastered Ultra Violet earlier lined up at the entrance to a more challenging cache, stopped for photos just in case ID was needed in a search for our lost souls took a deep breathe of fresh air before plunging down the pipes, our guide ensured we explored the whole system gathering the clues as we went, what was that voices??? other cachers perhaps only to realise our own voices echoing back, further in the sound of running water, quite loud !!! only to find a trickle from a height into a small pool of water, let out a breath of air all is ok, sore leg and back muscle as some of us are taller and had to stoop for several periods, but soon had all the clues gathered before settling down to find the key to unlocking the cache and its hidden location. We thoughly enjoyed the 21/2 hours exploring the storm water tunnels under Adelaide and once understood a great puzzle to go with it, thanks to all our team members, Flipper, squeaky72 and son, Drift kid, winterdragon and our ground support Team Scoobsters
Much thanks to Zytheran and four-fun for a fantastic morning of caching
Picked up a Pathtag for Mrs frog TFTC
Near the end of the smaller tunnel we have scribed some team names at the top of the pipe please add yours during your visit, remember a permanent texta

After some "Leg Press" exercise I was able to let Darkside into the cache hide out. I have the original log book which was saturated but not destroyed. Will replace later. Not really a find for me as I didn't do the long haul to get there, I am still working out where ultraviolet is!
Well, last time I knew where the cache was (after stumbling upon it by accident), but didn't know how to get inside... This time, i knew better.
Previous visits to the 'area' with friends had left me with many photos, which told a very interesting story.
Using this information, I was able to piece together some possibilities, one of which worked!
With radioactive ham's help, I managed to take a 'shortcut' to the cache location, open the cache, and successfully log my visit - properly this time!
The log book is extremely damp - radioactive ham has placed a new log book in the cache and is currently drying out the old log book, and will return it ASAP.
Thanks to Zytheran for such a great cache!

After trekking though the tunnels a couple of days ago we collected what we thought was all the information and accidentally found the cache, only to find we were lacking something we needed to get into the cache. We sat underground for a while trying to open the cache with no luck.
We emailed a previous finder for hints and went back in for another trip today with some muggle friends who were keen for an adventure, where we easily found what we were looking for.
Thank you Zytheran and four-fun for the excellent adventure and mind numbing (unsolved) puzzle while seeking this cache.
The cache contents were extremely damp, so we did our best to dry out the log book a bit and replaced the water tight bag. Looks like someone had slipped a piece of paper into the cache to log their find without opening it, looking at the wet soggy bit of paper inside the cache and the lack of logs in the log book.
The cache contents were rather interesting, where we found an unused prophylactic, still in the packaging marked 'use by 2004'.
Took Team Wibble and four-fun pathtags
Left: had nothing on us, but will plan a trip back for more swaps!

OK, OK, I don't know if I can really mark this as a 'found'... Me and Badooleoo did find the cache, but we weren't looking for it! We just happened to be in the area, thought we'd go for a 'walk', and then noticed something out of the ordinary! I made use of the caches 'back door' to log our visit
Found without a GPS or solving the puzzle and logging this directly from GZ live.
I took note of the symbols last year but never decided to work on it with darksidelemm. Tonight we decided to have a stroll but not because of the cache. Anyway I pointed out the markings to him along the way and when we got to a certain point I noticed something I had never seen before.
The cache eyeballing me I discovered it had a lock. darksides mcgyver ego kicked in and we found a way to bypass the lock and log our visit.

I went for a walk in here last night and noticed symbols I had never seen before. I have documented them and darksidelemm and I will have fun with this one.
We have also wanted to do Ultraviolet but it has been inaccessible.
To those who saw the bike on the ledge, that was me! [:o)]
In March 2009 A friend and I went there and I found the bike not far in from the entrance. I rode the bike further which was very hard since it had flat tyres. Once we got to the first room I put it up on the ledge to see how long it would last knowing big rains will be coming in April or May.
I have uploaded a pic of it with this log.
I did notice the bike washed out wedged against the rocks which I thought was quite funny, I took a video of this as well

I was riding past the entrance to the system with my sister and decided to take a look at the entrance,
With the rain, there was a lot of water pouring out,
and that bike that was stuck inside, it has been blasted out now,
just further proof why you don't do this one in the rain

If it had been anyone except the dragon (or pehaps a calumphor) who had solved the code before they explored I would be suggesting we make it even harder
Good to see that the pathtag was the real incentive here and as an added bonus that it's gone to a very friendly home.
Since they've asked for it Z, there is rumour of a couple of other systems under adelaide
Cheers all, glad you had some fun.

Two penguins, a dragon, a wibble and a unicyclist walk into a bar. Well, actually they walk into a storm drain. Then they walk around for a while and find a cache. Hmm, I think I need to polish that story up a bit.
It's a pleasant, warm, autumn day - perfect weather for spending time in the great outdoors. Or at least underneath the great outdoors. We weren't really sure what we were getting ourselves in for, so it was with some trepidation that we set off down the tunnels.
As we journeyed into the depths, we found various wonders. A bicycle parked on a ledge halfway into the cave. Evidence of previous generations of cachers who'd left primitive cave drawings to commemorate their journey. A flock of sightless vampire bats who lay waiting to attack unsuspecting intruders. Well maybe not the bats.
Certain members of the party tried to cheer us up with creative scenarios of how we could all perish in the confied space. But at least these were a refreshing change from the usual Z hazards of falling off a cliff, or that one with the sharpened rotating blades. And four-fun has never set up a cache with a risk of death... although there is Just Hanging...
Glad to say that we all survived intact, though I think we all managed to bang our heads at least once. Afterwards it was off to the Wibbles for a much appreciated caffeine fix!
All up, it took us about 2 hours at a comfortable pace. Thanks to all for a truly memorable cache. I can only echo Stealth's thoughts and say I couldn't think of a nicer group to do it with.
I didn't make any swaps, but saved Mr Wibble the effort of putting some of those Wibble bucks in the cache...
Thanks to Four-fun and Zytheran for the challenge!
P.S. Z, before you panic, we didn't crack the code before finding all the clues (although admittedly we did try with only half the clues . It was only the mechanical device securing the cache that we cracked.

Teamed up with Unicycle, Winterdragon, Nomad and Stealth for this one. Both Nomad and Mr Wibble had been thinking of all the horrible ways to die down there, but thankfully it wasn't as scary as predicted.
We're pretty sure we heard the balrog grumbling in the distance... and now understand why dwarves evolved to be so short and stocky.
Found the cache before we had the code, but Winterdragon guessed correctly... then we got the guilts so we went and collected the code before exiting the tunnels.
Amazing cache, when's the next urban caving expedition?
Took four-fun pathtag and left four of our pathtags in return, plus some wibble bucks.
Cheers Z & four-fun, that's our closest unfound cache that's been nagging us for a long time (only 1.3km from home) taken care of.

We were in the middle of some much needed housework yesterday when Winterdragon called to see if we were in for an expedition Beyond Ultraviolet. We downed the tools soon after -- after all, what use is a clean house when you are mostly likely going to die tomorrow (that is the meaning of a Z 5-star terrain, isn't it?). I spent the night dreaming up possible ways that we were going to perish. SNP didn't help by chiming in other, even worse ways.
We arrived at the initial coordinates on a beautiful autumn day -- perfect for spending a couple of hours in close, confined, claustrophobic conditions under ground [xx(].
As it turns out, the anticipation was worse than the event. I didn't mind the conditions, buoyed on by the companionship of four intrepid travellers (Winterdragon, Uni, Mr Wibble and SNP). Even more encouraging was the absence of companions of the creepy crawly kind. I would possibly even go back. Possibly.
It might not be the year of the dragon, but the luck was certainly with him. Cracking the code without the key . Success ! Took some Wibble bucks that didn't quite manage to make it into the cache .
Then we got the guilts. We just had to explore that tunnel as well .
All in all, a very enjoyable experience. Thanks Z and four-fun [^]. Thanks intrepid companions .
(BTW - nice video, Mr Wibble!)

I wasn't sure about the success of this one as I was heading out with a Dragon who is in the wrong season (bad sign), a guy who I think has a tyre missing (bad sign), a penguin recovering from surgery (bad sign) and a guy who tells me he only has 2 weeks left to live (he'd do anything if he knows he is doomed anyway -bad sign).
As I headed off on the expedition through the ever confining surrounds, I wondered if I would come back alive or would I be found to be a fool. Would I be another R.F. Scott? Would it be okay and I'd be another buoyant E.P. Hillary? The limited escape routes and endless possibilities of misadventure meant my trepidation was eating at my consciousness but I had to keep it in check. I worked on my breathing and kept thinking about the mission in small steps.
Anyway, the dragon breathed fire so we could see, the one wheeler kept the team on balance, the penguin provided the sustenance and the guy with 2 weeks left helped us all get out of our comfort zone in order to complete the mission. - Thanks guys I couldn't have done it with a nicer bunch
My aspirations of climbing Mt Vinson have taken a little tempering today but I don't think that's a bad thing.

PS For those watching the cache for a hint; electric scooter guys!

TFTC Zyth and Four-Fun
PS For those watching the cache for a hint; electric scooter guys!
Found at 10:20.
We went in at 9:05, and were out by 11:00.
A great morning with Penguins, Dragons and Wibbles. Certainly a lot easier than I was imagining. I reckon you could do the whole thing in half an hour if you brought a smallish bicycle (but not a unicycle).
Thanks Zytheran and Four-fun.

Sorry, I couldn't leave the frogs coin in here any longer to suffer so I come in for a quick grab. Left a four-fun pathtag in its place though. The first one to be released into the wild [^]
Cheers Z, new artwork looks great too!

Dropped off Freddo's Solace GC .
Hope this gives others the incentive to find this cache - almost a year since we were last here, with no finds since .
The clues we saw on the way in are still looking good.
What happened to the USA teams [?].

Went through the entire cache replacing the symbols and clues where required. All now good. We noticed that the 2nd entrance is now closed and so there is no short cut out.
Note that a team from USA is planning a visit towards the end of January 2009 so locals might want to make this a multi-team event.

Went on an extended (3½ hour) recon mission last Saturday and only managed to get the last of the clues on the way out. One of the clues is either faded or not a clue - or maybe we haven't been given all the info intentionally?
Spent a lot of time crawling through a pipe we didn't need to and in the end we were all totally exhausted, totally out of water and covered in cobwebs when we arrived back to daylight. Even so, it is amazingly clean in there!
Didn't even look at solving the puzzle until we got home, then had the answer in 10 minutes.
Returned today to put this one to bed.
This is our 5th puzzle cache in a row (all placed by different cachers)!
Also, it's our first Difficulty 5, Terrain 5 cache!
What's more, we're celebrating our 500th find (all in SA)!
Yes,
cache finds!!!!
Took Boarder Bart TB.
Left Port River dolphin (a long way upstream)!
SL.
Thanks Zytheran & four-fun for a great cache.
The addiction has definitely set in [^] . . . . .
Maybe the antidote can be found in our kilo-cache????

New diagram, new final location.
Now lets see who can really find this and solve the puzzle!

For teams who are finding this without having a log for Ultraviolet, it's sort of obvious what's happening here...

Congratulations on your 2/5 find.
Cache GZ will be reviewed.

YAY Scouts_Honour always talking about the awesome cache in Cafe D and finally we did it! Love draining and caching so way to go by putting two of the most awesome activities together! YAY took Foxzami draining for the first time and the prospect of finding the cache was definitely a lure hehehehe!
as a rule we drainers always say "no drains when it rains" so pretty much dont go when its raining or you will die!!! hahahaha and draining is illegal for whoever was asking but technically cache is not in an illegal place so ah yep sounds muchos legit to me!
yay yay yay! TFTC!

I (Sue) am visiting family in the area 8-13 Aug and would like to seek this cache - with others! (I'm traveling alone, Vinny is staying home.) I'd like to team up with local cachers - any takers?
Found this cache on my trip with Cooroy Scouts to SA for our final RDMH requirements.
Thankyou Z for another challenging cache. After the RDMH competition we have certainly now got a few more scrambled brain cells. After completing Cipher Gold and The Slot this was to be our most difficult code to crack.
With a little assistance we soon had it deciphered and the cache was in hand a few days into our trip to SA.
TNLN
You planning to hide any caches in Qld along these lines soon?

hmm, creeping suspicions confirmed, yes, there is an error with the image..will be back in time for the competition..
Congratulations to the two teams who have really solved this cache and discovered the error in the diagram!

It's late, it's dark, we are wearing sunglasses. OK, so we arnt wearing sunglasses, but we could have been! Bowie had try to hype this one up as a tough nut to crack, full of scary things, hmmmm.
I had been offered a weekend hitting Adelaide hard to help bring up my 1000th cache find, had to do something special, so, over to Adelaide I flew. Met at the airport by Mr Bowie and Astro, hot food, drinks, and we had not been in the car for more than a few minutes and I was tossed out and the first cache attempted.
I was shooting an episode of the video edition of the Australian Geocaching Pod cast, and had asked Mr Bowie to organise a meeting with Zytheran. His people talked to Bowies people, Bowies people talked to my people and back and forwards it went for months. Finally all the demands of Mr Z we accepted and the multicoloured Smarties we laid out on a table awaiting his arrival.
He arrived with his escort, briefcase hand cuffed to his wrist, apparently he has his entire series of caches solutions in this briefcase. Astro took one look and started to drool. Bowie helped clean him up and we wandered down to a couple of large round holes to begin our adventure. We walked up the tunnel to the sounds of maniacal laughter.
After some time of stopping in room and sourcing all the clues and walking through thick, sticky foul smelling mud, we had gathered all there was to gather. We solved part of the puzzle to see if my theory would pan out, it would seem it would. After a detour up something I maybe should not have been in, and coming out looking rather worse for wear, we exited the now warm tunnel system and sat in the cooler night air and slowly solved the puzzle.
With some info in hand, and a theory, we talked about how to approach the finding of GZ. Shadowed by Mr Z and Mr Bowie, we found the cache without too many problems, probably the 2nd place we checked.

Traumatized for life but loving it all!! Thanks for a superb cache!! Phoos to follow when I get back to NSW.

Abowie is a thoughtful man. He limoed Team Webguy and me to the art gallery for this beyond UV experience. He had packed steak sandwiches and an esky with ice, beer and coke. Team WebGuy and I enjoyed the tasty feed, and washed it down with a nice cold beer, in readiness for what lay ahead.
Mr Web had made a special trip to Adelaide from Sydney for this cache. It was a pleasure to have his company for this adventure. [^]
Team Webguy came equipped with the usual caching paraphernalia, as did I, but for this assault we made sure we had fully charged batteries for our head torches, and backup. In addition, video camera with stage lighting made sure we captured this on wide screen HD video. Watch Team Webguy’s log for the URL. Don’t worry, it’s not a spoiler log, but has special features, like and interview with Mr Z!
The nice thing was that we had Mr Z and Mr A above ground for support. I was a little worried, but soon settled in for the adventure which took many many hours. Be warned.
On the trek, evidence of those that went before us was seen. Is that legal [?] Some shonky mathematics seen too.
Webguy is a brave man. Let me tell you. He ventured on hands and knees up some skinny tube, in search of the prize – but …... Muddy, and sticking real bad, he arrived back at my room. I opened a coke (before he arrived) that reverberated through the network and could hear some sort of a groan …. something about drinking alone came wafting down a tube at me. No way I was going up that tube. No way.
We retired to the surface after some hours and worked on the puzzle. Cool fresh air did not assist us solve the puzzle any quicker. Was their a glitch in the code??? Try and solve it underground. That’s all I’ll say….
Yes we did solve the puzzle in the field. Yes, we did go back down after we resurfaced. Yes, we shot some great vid. Yes, you should all try this!!
Lucky we did this before the rain this morning. The washing machine could not handle that.
Clear skies, TeamAstro. [^]
Way to go. Two zeeman caches in one day. First my brain explodes and then my knees.
Ventured into the 0.1nm section of the spectrum and followed the signs for 2km. Abowie and shonky were the partners in crime.
Things got smaller and smaller. It pays to go to the end though because you need all of the clues.
Plenty of evidence that others have been before. Even a couple of zee signs.
And yes you will see signs that we passed this way.
Did we find the cache, yes. Did we solve the puzzle, no! Will we solve the puzzle, oh alright.
The beer tasted very good on the above ground walk back to the cars.
Thanks team. Thank you ball boys.
BTW I will return later to drop of some upper spectrum swaps and a radioactive frog.

The things one does to log a find... I was lured by the promise of a nice little walk with Freddo and Abowie, and found myself bent over double with a sore back, slogging through mud and dodging cockroaches by the millions. I never thought of a 1.65m pipe as luxury... but it is after crawling through the smaller ones!
My back recovered after a cold beer and a hot shower. Thanks Zytheran for the adventure, and thanks Freddo and Abowie as partners in crime... it was a great experience, and one of my caching highlights!

Rated: for Overall Experience
This was my second visit to Cafe Dianetics, this time with adult company as I had done a recce trip a few weeks ago with my 3yo son.
Uncomfortable and awkward in places but worth it as we came up with the prize, something I didn't expect to do on this trip.
Sorry Z, I didn't solve the puzzle either but I am now going to do the Cipher series so that I can nut this one out.
Took nothing but photographs, left nothing but muddy footprints and a few little LED key torches to light the way home.

I'm pretty sure the puzzle part of this cache has not been solved by any team.

BOOYARG!!!! FTF
what an eventful cache.
2 complete penetrations with 2 different geocaching buddies and came up with the goods and the numbers!
had a blast doing this one, lots of interesting rooms here.
Took the geocoin, and some interesting pictures
TFTC!!
Came in with a close second. Scouts_Honour had done the initial hard yards to find the cache so the FTF was hers.
Really enjoyed this one, even if i am 6 foot plus and came out with a sore back!
Got some great photos and could even make the cache a drive by - if you know where to look.
Thanks Zytheran & four-fun.

Oh my god the puzzle looks like some nightmarish orienteering course......
I've been having orienteering nightmares for years, mostly involving it getting too dark to complete the course. I think Zytheran has just found a way to make my nightmares much, much worse....

Merrrrry Xmas to you to Mr ZeeMan. Come to think about it, would the Zeeman Effect be useful in this nuclear phenomenon? Mmmmm . HoHoHoGoogleGoogleGoogle.
clear skies for the sleigh. TeamAstro. [^]
Remember; this is at your own risk! Geocaching.com admits to no liability for injuries or deaths caused by this cache.
looks like this one should stump the usual FTFinders for a few hours.
on the bright side at least we dont have any disused nuclear reactors (well that the government have told us about) in the state.
I pity the poor person that has this as their closest cache to home

I used to live about 500m away - but that was a LONG LONG LONG time ago!
I know one cacher who will just chalk this one up to 'another Zytheran cache on my closest to home list'!

Team Wibble might be pretty close. Sorry..
It wasn't planned to be so close but then it wasn't planned to go for a few kilometres either..
