Description
A Trig Point is a virtual cache which requires a cacher to locate the Trigonometric Station at GZ.
A trig point (also known as a Trigonometric Station) typically consists of a black disc on top of four metal legs or concrete pillar, resembling a navigation beacon. It is also accompanied by a metal disc, which is located directly below the center point of the tripod or on top of the pillar itself.
Trig points are generally located at the top of hills or points of prominence in the landscape. Many provide unique views and challenges, with some being difficult to get to.
These points were regarded as valuable to surveyors, providing reference points for measuring distance and direction, and assisting in the creation of maps.
To log a find on the Geocaching Australia website, you will need to include a picture of the trig point, along with your GPS receiver and (preferably) yourself. Long distance / telephoto type pictures are against the spirit of this cache. You are encouraged to leave a description of your journey in your log to help others in finding the trig point.
The original collection of trig points has been sourced from Geoscience Australia and may contain inaccuracies.
Please respect local laws and regulations when searching for trig points. If you believe that a trig point is located on private property or in a dangerous location, you may archive the cache, by clicking on Log this Cache and place an "Archived" log on the Geocaching Australia website.
If you feel that you can add to the description of this trig point or adjust the difficulty / terrain ratings, please feel free to edit this cache and amend the information suitably. Vandalism of the cache description or other information will result in your account being terminated.
Using the web-based "Survey Marks Enquiry Service (SMES)", the details for this trigonometric station have been acquired.
The name of this cache has changed from the former name "Harkaway Hill" to "GLENROWAN NTH 1982-NARREE WORRAN PM 490"
Alternate names: GLENROWAN NTH 1982
Mark name: NARREE WORRAN PM 490

I wasn't game enough to access this trig point as it is behind an electric fence, but it is approx. 20m from the fence line.

We have no idea what the local none caching community were up to so after snapping a few shots of the trig we made our escape before we witnessed any nefarious activity from the filthy muggles!
Wow. I swear I've been here before, but no, it appears not. A simple driveby TrigPoint today.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks to PrincessDiala for the listing here today.

Bonus on the great views
I bypassed here to mark this Trig off my finds.
Nice spot on the hill.
Some big homes here too.
TFTT
Thanks

And, wow, what a location.....the views towards Melbourne and over the general area are fantastic. Found the trig easy enough and grabbed a few photo's. All up, a great area to visit....
Today we explored Berwick and surrounds using geocaching as our guide.
A drive by trig - can't get easier than that! Curious cows watched on as we took the required photo. Views were hampered by smoke from the recent fires.
Some more great views for the memory banks .
Thanks PrincessDiala.
Out today on a very short caching run before i had to be back to my brothers place for a Melbourne Cup day BBQ.
A great view from here, its just a pity about the big ugly power lines.
Thanks for bringing me here
Thanks to Princess Diala for setting this one up, this is my 15th trig point.
I had about 30 finds tonight and we had a few DNF's.
As we approached GZ, there were a few cars parked there. We parked and snapped a photo in the dark before heading to do the nearby GC cache. The GC cache was found discretely after Trailrunning used his car as a sheild while he started searching. TFTC
We have been here before for the nearby GC traditional but really enjoyed the excuse to return for that magnificent view.
A few curious looks at the old couple intruding on the youngsters 'parking' spot. Hey, we went 'parking' in places like this forty odd years ago.
Took the required happy snap albeit from the road side of the electric fence and left the young ones to it.
Our thanks to PrincessDiala for the cache and bringing us back to the view.
Cheers

Tried to take photo of it in the dark but doesnt work...
hope that is ok otherwise I can go back again sometimes soon.
I wouldn't have done it otherwise.
I don't know how to search for archived ones..
I was with a friend several months ago and I saw him find and log this Trig Point. The fence must have recently been electrified because it wasn't back then.
I'm pretty sure that I also have this Trig Point listed under a different name.
It indeed was, but I didn't want to cross the electric fence to gain access to the disk underneath.
I feel that this distance (~20m from the fence line) is acceptable for people to log this trig point.
Views from here are fantastic, and apparently you can see awesome SE thunderstorms from here too!
