Logs
Having travelled north to hunt down some GC Challenge caches, I am making my way back south using trig stations as my guide. Thanks for publishing them Geocaching Australia. And yet another one.
Spotted this water reservoir with a trig atop it as I was driving through Cranebrook today.
Out trigging with Sophoutloud today on a mission to take over Penrith. It was a beautiful warm day and we were surprised how many of these trigs had survived the urban expansion of Penrith. They were all found in varying conditions from as perfect as the day they were built to pretty broken and covered in graffiti. We could see this one from way of by pleasant trig but got as close as we could still being able to see the trig

Could see this from a mile away. (I suppose that’s the point) our collecting funds in the penrith area today!

Took the water tower access road to this but couldn't see the vanes so went back to the street and grabbed a shot over the house.
GeoReindeer brake service nearby, so hunted for this Trig. Found and photographed, then drove up to gates, where there was a house reno next door ... and collected a roofing nail in tyre. Strike two, at least I made it home without a third.
Hitting up a long unloved GCA Multi nearby and spotted this without looking at the GCA map. Got as close as I could to get a photo and found an OK angle from a nearby street. So high you can get too close

The first of 3 opportunistic trigs today. That it, trigs I spotted as we drove towards our caching destination for the day.
driving back from Penrith thought I would knock this one over nice sunny day to be out caching

Trig number 3 of 7 for today's 23km walk from Penrith via Cranebrook and Castlereagh then back to Penrith station.
A bit of sneaking around was required to find a suitable angle for the photo, interesting concrete structure, I did manage in the end to get the shot I wanted. Now onto the next one.

Found the reservoir quickly but struggled a bit to get the best position for a good photo. Remember that the trig is on the small tank and not the big one.

Tougher than I thought to get close to this one as you can see it from many places in the suburb of Cranebrook (Mt Pleasent). The best view seems to be from Wilkinson Place.
