Early morning walk for exercise during coronavirus time to find a few trigs

Found on a trip to Sydney with Joolay and Smittengranny to pick up some old caches - picked some trigs up along the way too. Lovely old trigs - TFTC

Found while exploring the area. There really is a lot to see around here.
We were staying at the Q Station for the weekend, so I just had to check out these trigs. A nice little wander and some great views. There was some sort of military exercise going on here today with some big spinning radar thingies. No one seemed concerned with my presence

#GA950 - 07:55; I was back in the big smoke with the geohoney for an annual celebration which just happens to coincide with the Vivid Festival. We were staying at the nearby accommodation, so an early morning stroll was in order to try to collect a few caches. This was the second of four trigs for the morning run. I made the mistake of trying to take the shortest most direct route and ended up taking more time than I should have to get there. Looks like the vanes disappeared a few years ago it seems after checking a few of the old logs, but part of the base is still up there. TFTT Geocaching Australia

Next one on the list after finding the old Cowell Trig and number 4 for today. Not as interesting as the others I have been to today. Well onto the Blue Fish Trigs.TFTT.

Found this trig, as evident by the cache nearby. Someone has deleted the photo off the camera it seems.... TFTC

Walked from home for a bit of exercise. Nice clear autumn morning. First of 5 trigs for the day. Found at 8:29 am.

From Cowell we walked on to Cowell New following the road with its sweating walkers coming the other way (the "Bloody Long Walk" apparently). Spotted the water tower and made our way to it. Saw the base of what might have been a trig on top but then spotted the vanes lying sadly on the ground in the yard! I don't know what knocked them off but I can't see them getting back up there soon. Got a close up photo of them at least.

Clearing North Head today nearly missed this one while chasing the Gunners Walk caches. Took a while to work out which one was the trig but spotted it eventually. Lovely place to explore!

Spotted this trig sharing a water tower with many other fixtures while looking for a rather clever GC nearby.
No wonder they needed a new trig, Cowell is being swallowed up by the bush! This one ought to last a while yet though
555. You can see by the clouds in the shot that it was overcast. It was also raining but it was a very pleasant wander in here and an easy find, of course as they're rarely hidden. Interesting to note the broken beer bottles embedded in the top of the wall. Last time I saqw that I was about 10.

Saw this trig on the biggest loser, I'm guessing this doesn't count for a find?!?!
Trig number 4 for today, local water tank with a trig on top.
This frame trig is rather different from usual with a square frame support and a very short mast.
Well worth the visit, ran into a security guard, we had a chat and we both went on our respective way but it was off putting to see the side arm he was wearing!

While in Manly for a gig, I was able to do the Gunners walk and find a few trigs and traditional caches.
Well worth the visit to see what this spot was like and how it is now.

A quick walk from the Parking Area near the old Quarantine Station.
Obvious from a fair distance away. We could see it from Blue Fish 2!
