Enjoying Australia Day lunch up Mt Sugarloaf and couldn't resist logging a few finds while we were here.
This is a massive tower, between the two and the two massive Erraring chimneys pretty easy to triangulate your position around here.

Before meeting up with friends to find a nearby cache, my daughter and I headed up to grab the trigs and a virtual up here. Amazing views which are well worth the walk. Thanks for the trig

16-Jun-21
My first time up Sugarloaf, lured here by 3 GCA trigs, a virtual and 2 AL waypoints. I meant to take this pic from the top but forgot, so it's now one from the radio repeater station on the way down.

01-Apr-21
On a read trip with Aquilus1, dty73 and Tankengine. A quick detourto get to this one. Thank you for the cache!

14-Feb-21
found on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning

13-Sep-20
Our first stop for the day, we came up here to hide a movable, and nabbed two trigs and two Adventure Labs at the same time.... We haven't been up here since our 2nd or 3rd day of caching ever and our 7th find. Always a treat....

10-Oct-19
Took a lot of photos of all the towers from all different angles.

31-Jul-19
I'll just copy/paste from my other log Cool

I knew there were 3 Geocaching Australia trigs up here, but couldn't get the website working properly on my iPhone today, so thought "3 GCA caches, 3 big towers, no worries" however I realise now that one of the GCA trigs is a nice pedestal with a great view (and not a tower). Oh well it gives me an excuse to come back up to this lovely spot. TFTTC! Clan Cerberus

Came down to Newcastle to see my sister Terra Roam finish her walk around Australia. As it was a family thing, I gave priority to my family instead of geocaching. My parents and brother and his family kept asking me if I was going to find any geocaches while there. I kept having to say no, but told them each time we passed one or were within a short walking distance of one. what made it even harder was the amount of time spent waiting. Terra was to meet people at the shorten end of Stockton Beach at 3, Cross the harbour at 4, rach the finish line at Nobby's Beach at 5, and then finish with a vegan BBQ at 6. So many hours of standing around waiting with so many geocaches and trigs nearby. Urgh! haha.

So, I waited till on my way home to find 3 trigs in one, thinking it would be like a park and grab, but one of the 3 needed a walk in the dark.

But at least I still got 3 GCA finds. This was one of them.

What a great view from here. After finding lots of trigs around the lake, it was nice to find this one on a hill. The required photo has been added to the gallery. Two in the photo. TFTT

03-Jul-17
On the way to Queensland for a couple of weeks to visit relos and once in the car park here my wife was quite happy to check out the views while I grabbed the required photo's. Soon had the photo's snapped and was then heading back down the road to the head a bit further north.

Great views and well worth the short detour....

While up doing some caches in the local area. Specifically the old school cache we had parked just below the 3 trigs here. After walking around the lower and middle layers decided to do the top level. On the way up took the photo of this trig. Thanks for the trig.

Spotted two of the trigs up here from down in the lowlands whilst doing a cache run. Made our way up the mountain for an old school GC cache and grabbed the three trigs whilst up here. This was the second of the three trigs found and photographed from the top of Sugarloaf.

09-Jan-17
Found on a visit to the Sugarloaf on the way home from Nelson Bay. Very hot day but it was cooler under the trees. Lots of antennas here - had to check I had the right one. TFTT

Found on a recent walk in the area

14-Nov-14
Found while geocaching in the area

12-Sep-13
1945 Rather dark, so photo not great. Had been here a few times over the years, and only on logging Great Sugarloaf TP did I realise that there were other TPs around the mountain. So on coming back to get a couple of caches in the area I got a photo of this one as well.

18-Nov-12
Another humming trig point. Certainly a big tower.

18-Nov-12
Easy to spot and hear as it hummed along. Lots of bugs in the area today.

29-Dec-11
Another tower too high to climb. But a great view.

06-Oct-11
