The kids were impressed by the view and the climb up, not so much about climbing the final rock to touch the Trig. It was a pretty windy day which didn't help.
Still in pretty decent condition.

Beautiful location with full 360 degree views of Woy Woy and Wondabyne.

Here today for our milestone GC cache nearby with a bunch of cache buddies and I (we) can now confirm that this view really is one of the best on the cenny coast, plus the climb to the top (the last 200m or so) is just awesome. Amazed by the amount of overseas tourists up here, some on their way to Patonga via the overnight camping. They have really done their homework!
Just did a quick count and this is our 30th trig find. I love finding the trigs. They are a tad mysterious, quite interesting, and diverse. We have stumbled across them in the most unlikely of places! Some are definitely in better condish than others, although this one was still in VGC. It seemed to be missing the plaque though, although I didn't have too much of a look around for it today. TFTC.

A group of us came out here today to find "#4 Wonderful" on Mt Wondabyne and having done so, we naturally made the climb to the summit and to this trig.

Found after a great walk up Mt Wondabyne with friends chasing some nearby GC caches. When we got to the trig, 3 muggles were having a snack right on the plinth....

A very enjoyable walk to this trig. Parked off Woy Woy Rd at the start of the Tunnel Firetrail. Made a quick side trip to the quarry to collect GC "Let's go bushwalking". Headed west on Mullet Creek Firetrail and then south on the Hawkesbury Track. Encountered two elderly gents heading down near the summit and then a another two teenage girls near the trig. Wow - wasn't expecting the place to be so popular although with the spectacular views, who can blame any of us for making the trip here. Took the obligatory photos before heading to the nearby 2 Dogs #4 "Wonderful" GC cache. Perfect way to enjoy the morning. Headed back via the Mt Wondabyne Trig Firetrail which joins back up with the Tunnel Firetrail, resulting in walking the loop right around Mt W. Can't believe this trig has been unloved for 3 years...

Found a while back on a National Parks tour.
The vanes were broken at the time, but can be seen behind Miss Shifter.

I found the GC cache nearby and then found the trig.
Great views and recommended for anyone.

1205 While some of the others of the 4W's Event were starting their lunch a few of us headed on up to take some photos of the trig station.
GREAT VIEWS.
I have Found / logged nowhere near as many 400 trigs as RogerW3, but will keep on plodding along. Over the 100 count, so a long way to go
(Edit: 2/8/2015: That my backpack, (and my back to the right) in Rex's - aka Baktrak, photo)

I've often seen Mt Wondabyne, with its distinctive sugarloaf shape, from Berowra. Today it marked the peak of our Wondaybyne to Woy Woy walk.
We spotted the trig from over a kilometre away. It's one of the few of this style that hasn't been engulfed by the bush.
A short mast with vanes on a painted steel post, all in fairly good condition.

Awesome views from up here with a 360 degree panorama.

The high point of the day's walk both in elevation and the views. We stopped here and had lunch in the shade admiring the view.
I came up here on a crisp winter's morning with clear blue skies. Walked in past the quarry and took the south approach to Mount Wondabyne. I went back around the northern side of the mountain. Great walk and a great spot.

Somewhat belatedly logging this trig. I've climbed Mt Wondabyne several times now over the years but I think one of my first visits was in June 2013. At the time, I 'claimed' the nearby cache but didn't log the trig. From the cache notes..... 'Stopped at Mt Wondabyne for a lunch break during my hike today from Patonga to Staples Lookout and decided to check if there were any caches nearby. Whilst the rest of the party enjoyed their lunch I headed off to find the container. Coordinates were good so it didn't take long before the cache had been located. It really is a magical location. Took GC. TFTC'.

Visited this trig after finding the GC cache a few metres away. I was on a walk from the Woy Woy Waste Depot to Mooney Mooney Creek. Fantastic panoramic views may be had from this station. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photograph of the trig itself.

We had already walked about 12km by the time we got to this trig but what a wonderful view! It was a warm day but the breeze kept us cool. This one gets marked as outstanding, really top spot!

A memorable walk and a great day for this my 400th Trig. About 17km return to Woy Woy station and 4 hours, but that includes a good 40 minutes enjoying the amazing views from the top of Mount Wondabyne.
I thought that my trip came to an abrupt end when I came to the 6 feet tall locked gate on the side of the local tip, but there was a small space left on purpose for walkers to squeeze through from there a wide fire trail takes you to the base of the promontory and a well defined walking track goes all the way to the foot of the Trig.
This is a well used track and you will see many walkers along the way obviously a favored destination and easy to understand when you get to the top and get blown away by the incredible vista around you.
But back to the trig, it is in excellent condition and bit of graffiti but nothing to detract from its appeal.
