Gallery of log for Sydney Harbour Bridge - International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark #151

14-Jan-16
#GA827 - 15:30; I was in Sydney with the geohoney and geoteen who had headed off for some retail therapy. That meant only one thing for me, an opportunity to collect some of the newer CBD caches which had made an appearance since I was last here. I had collected some of this series around Pyrmont and the city before taking a detour to Darlinghurst to visit the old gaol, before returning to the city for a couple more. It was now time to head down to the harbour, or so I thought, for the next in the series. It wasn't until I was near the borttom of the pylon that I discovered I needed a bit more altitude to make the find on this plaque. It had been a hot day so far, so the visit here gave me the chance to grab a cold milkshake before heading upstairs. I made it to GZ and grabbed a photo, not realising initially that it was the plaque I was looking for, until I re-read the description. I must have been tiring by this stage as I didn't notice the other plaque, which would have been in a more familiar format, was just up the stairs. I was a bit far away to trudge back, so it will just have to wait for the next visit. Claiming another *FTF* (unless advised otherwise) as the sole finder to date is the CO.
