Great walk. It takes about half an hour of reasonably steep to get up on the buttongrass plains. I walked round the back to the "Eastern Ridge" and turned off at Nerebil's waypoint, which is a little cairned intersection wiht the track to go up. After reachign a top point, the track does continue but is pretty indistinct over several pseudo-summits till the trig point is reached. It was a glorious day so it was just magic up there. I back tracked a little way until it was a clear run down to re-join the Lake Herbert track. I spent a good while there as well as many photo stops on the way back. It was just me and the wilderness up there, truly remote but a not too difficult walk. With all my stopping and extra bits, I took 4 and 1/2 hrs. The Tullah locals impressed me with their friendliness, everyone was ready for a long chat, and my arrival back to the car was being monitored. A terrific day.
