Gallery of log for Boonerring Hill

05-Aug-17
I needed to get out and stretch the legs so with Lazarus we selected a couple of caches to do in the hills. We parked up near the road and then walked up the track to make our first find on the way to the trig point. We needed to cut through the bush at one stage as I had taken the wrong track. Luckily the area was a fairly open wooded area and we only had 120m to travel up the hill. A little further in I spotted the final destination and pointed out the rocky top of the hill. Going as far as we could on the Bibbulmun track we then stepped off the track into parrot bush, Oh joy upon joy. This was shortly followed by the climb up rock to the top and the trig point. We spotted the rock cairn fairly quickly but had a little trouble locating the trig. In the end all we could find was a metal pin embedded in concrete near the cairn. We enjoyed the views while having a snack before making the return trip. Spotted a large mob of kangaroos on the way back and took some photos of the wildflowers and some mushrooms.
