Hi geo jas
After spending the morning on the jack hammer at my bowls club; Geeveston Bowls Club; lifting tiles in preparation for the laying of new ones and pulling up the bar lino in readiness for new to be put back down, I was in need of some relaxation – CACHING was my outlet.
Travelled from Geeveston to Huonville and then to Kingston to retrieve this cache.
Round trip of 142 kilometres for a lot of aches and pains (caused by jack hammering) netting two caches.
The weather was brilliant – sunny, about 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Really good for a short walk.
As the crow flies, distance to the cache from where I parked the car was 275 metres.
In actual fact, I covered 1.87 kilometres using 2529 steps burning 311 calories.
At Ground Zero, the co-ordinates were some 7 to 10 metres out so finding the cache took longer than anticipated. The clue said “burnt stump” but there were several in the vicinity which made finding the cache a little harder; even after expanding the search area.
Finally, the cache was Sainted at 1321 hours.
Only two muggles walked by after I had made the find, otherwise what can be a busy area was reasonably quiet.
The walk back to the car took a little longer than the walk in as “rigor mortis” was setting in after the morning’s activity.
TFTC and cheers
