I managed o persuade Pa into driving myself and his cousin up here this afternoon. Although she has lived in Bonnie Doon for over 30 years she had never been up here before so it was a treat for us all. We arrived at the bottom gate just as another car did, so I beckoned them through and continued up the road after closing the gate. Imagine our surprise after parking at the top, we heard 2 vehicles approaching - the second being a couple of local police. The driver of the other vehicle was quite apprehensive that he had been caught doing something wrong - eg trespassing. The police just laughed and told him no, he had been speeding. With this joviality going on it was quite easy to sneak away , have the photo taken and then proceed to find a nearby multi cache. Thanks for the Trig cache GCA, it turned into a fun afternoon with great views.
