Myself and two muggle mates decided, as the weather was fantastic, to ride out to the Gunbower Pub for lunch then on to Pyramid Hill and return home via Mitiamo.
Well, the tucker at the Gunny Pub is great and a huge feed.
At the Hill we stopped to have a look and with a bit of a shove the others agreed to make the climb. I'd been up the top a couple of years back chasing a GC cache so had a fair idea of the difficulty level of the climb.
Like Phetlern I'd rate it as a 3.5.
Great view and the chance to claim a GCA smilie made the climb all that more enjoyable - even in motorbike boots
The lady at the Mitty store was on for a yack and we spent quite some time there a bit of the story of the new liquor license laws. Her license has gone from around $170 to just under $1500 per year. This has made selling booze a non profitable sideline for her business. The increase is to be used to better police alcohol problems. I suspect there are very few booze problems in a quiet country town and that the money will end up being used to try fixing an unfixable problem in the trouble spots of Melbourne. Yet another example of State Government of Melbourne only looking after its own backyard.
Enough rant - we had a great day and look forward to another ride.
