Gallery of log for Lighthouses of QLD - Bulwer Island Light
So a great weekend so far! Friday night I checked the Ipswich Council website to see if Flinders Peak was open and it was so that was Saturday sorted. An excellent hike and successful day of geocaching followed by beer and an amazing curry (and more beer haha). Today started with a very successful CITO Event and some greats chats with likeminded geo-friends. Now I’m in Southbank to catch up with one of my nephews who is off to Europe soon and wants to chat about his planned adventures. I’ve been to Europe many times and each time has been filled with ‘firsts’ and unforgettable experiences. In fact, four years ago today I managed to get myself into a Russian occupied part of Moldova they call Transnistria, on the southern border of Ukraine. My nephew won’t be going there though. My style of adventuring is very different to most people.
I arrived at Southbank over an hour early to spend some time looking around. I visited an Adventure Lab waypoint and some Waymarks. I tried for a GC cache but a muggle was sitting literally at GZ. How dare someone leave their home to go outdoors and inconvenience me haha. I saw this GCA Virtual cache and was initially puzzled. I used to work on Bulwer Island and I don’t remember a lighthouse….. and…. this is not Bulwer Island! Further reading the description helped me understand the situation. It’s nice out here today and I love lighthouses, thanks for the cache
