Gallery of log for Carrs Lookout

19-Aug-23
Today's exploring started late last night with an early AM drive to the base of Wilsons Peak. After a few hours of sleep it was time to join geo-buddies up to geocache and trig goodness. It ended up being a lot easier and quicker than we all expected. After we all returned safely to the parking area a bunch of the group wanted to continue to explore and I decided to join them. We visited a nearby GC trad that could be best described as super random then the group wanted to explore this lookout for an old GC cache that has been archived. I wasn't too interested as I was satisfied with my trig find so I decided to check out the view while the group started their search. One old container was found.... and then a new one haha.... while I was taking happy-snaps of Wilsons Peak I heard "who is MattyRx?" so I wandered back to the confused group, AHEM let me explain...

There are now lots of names in the log book. Time will tell if they will be interested in logging a GCA cache. I tried to sell GCA as best as I could. After this the group continued further down the road. I went with them for one more GC cache then left the group for a nearby (surprisingly) double trig find. One in the group decided to join me. This was an interesting evening with two trigs discovered and apparently we look like cattle rustlers and/or dope growers but that's another story haha. There are some paranoid farmers around these parts! Thanks for the cache, five thumbs up for the view of Wilsons Peak!
Cheers
