At first I didn't see this rusty old trig, sitting in amongst the trees on private property. For a few seconds I was inadvertently looking for a standard concrete pedestal and a black disk. But then I saw it, much higher than I expected, and very rusty and frail-looking.

But it survives! And it's not too hard to take some decent photos from behind the fence, near Skyline Road. I wish I could have got closer but didn't want to infringe on someone's yard.
