Gallery of log for Tops Fun - Playground
This playground and small picnic area, apparently unnamed, is located right behind the famous Leura Mall (in the Upper Blue Mountains of NSW) directly on Grose Street, just down from Railway Parade. There's a swing set and a climbing frame and two picnic tables, but no toilets. These are located in the car park area between Leura Mall and Grose Street, about 200 metres away from the playground.
Leura is my adopted home town and I know this area pretty well. The little park and playground are rarely very busy. I don't think many people really know that there's a playground here, so close to busy Leura Mall and its shops and cafes.
There's a car park on the other side of Grose Street and parking on the street, but sometimes it's hard to find a convenient parking spot in Leura. It seems like everybody wants to visit here, 365 days a year.
Our visit today, for the purpose of this photograph, was on Australia Day!
I'd rate this playground 3 out of 5. It would be better if there were nearer toilets and a bit more in the way of equipment.
